Day by Day Locked Away
By: Courtnee Date: September 13, 2014, 8:37 am

Courtnee gave a soft sigh flipping through a book labeled
Quantum Mechanics. She dropped the book on the desk and flipped
it shut heading over to the open window. She gave a huff and
closed her eyes as the breeze blew through her dark purple hair.
The wind moved the front of her white blouse and long navy blue
skirt. She then looked off to the side table that contained her
dairy the page was open to her last entry and it read as
follows.
"I'm Courtnee Levine, I've been living in this
tower for as long as I can remember. I've had nothing but time
and books locked in this large library. Each level contains a
different type of book. The lower level containing guides for
medicine and science and the higher rooms contain poetry and
fiction. I love books but they are just reading I yearn to live
and experience whats out there beyond my tower. But alas all the
doors are locked and I've no way to leave. Whoever left me here
so kindly forgot to leave any books on lock picking. As I look
out my window overlooking the city day by I see the people.
Nobody ever comes this way through they can't hear me. Everyday
I see this blue light shoot through the city faster than
anything I've ever seen. I have this dream that one day it will
crash into my tower and set me free. But lately the blue streaks
of light have stopped and with it my hope. I'm never getting out
of this tower. Whoever put me here must have had a good
reason....right?"
Courtnee slammed shut her dairy and dropped it on a pile of
books she was planning to read through. She seemed annoyed and
angered but most of all sad that she would never herself
experience the magical living these books detail.

As sunset came around at the tower a weasely figure who had
faced enough pony damage to last a lifetime but knew nothing of
it came wandering up to the entry doors of the tower. "Dur
hurhur." he chuckled as he unlocked the doors to the tower
with a fairly large, bronze key and stepped inside. "It's a
good thing I used to be in the used master key business,
dehheh." he said to himself closing and locking the door
behind him. "You can never be too sure in this business,
dehheh." he said to himself again as he wandered through the
surprisingly well kept tower supposedly looking for anything
that he could take and sell.

As Courtnee heard footsteps she gasped heading down the stairs
as fast as she could. Seeing the stranger poking around her
shelves. She picked up a book and tossed it at him. She slowly
moved closer throwing a bigger book with a girly grunt. She
dared to get closer picking up the very large and heavy
dictionary. She held it overhead ready to swing down. "Who are
you?" She asked terrified.

The book hit him square in the face stunning him for a second
before he shook his head, too slow though as the bigger book hit
him too causing him to fall. He let out an "oof!" as the
second book hit him. Shaking his head again he picked his brain
in a hurry as she asked him who he was. After all, the figure
obviously wasn't about to be buying from him until he answered
her questions. "Tower, lot of books, has she read them all,
how long had she been here? aHA!" having picked out a
thought he was prepared to take a risk on he just put on his
smile and said to her "Pally Pally PALlyyyy dehheh, i'm
somebody who's come here to rescue you from this place, I heard
you'd been stuck in here for a very long time and figured
somebody with the capability to help you out should do so,
durhur." While his primary thought at the time was on not
being completely KOed by another book he of course had
making profit or obtaining something to sell near the front of
his mind, as per always, and the large quantity of books would
be right up his alley.

She dropped the book and with it her defenses. "You came to
rescue me. Are you real?" She said curious as she held her hoof
out to see if he was just some kind of trick.

One check off the Old Bucket List:
Speed along that weird tower with the old Gam'bler. Hope not to
get caught~
He looked up to the tower and gave a bit of a grin as he
activated the bronze-colored extreme gear as he turned onto it,
getting a speedy start before he shifted, jumping on it until he
was scaling the walls in a corkscrew until he managed to the top
of the tower and whistled, "That was Awesome!! Def gotta do this
again!"
He chuckled as he blinked, "But there was a window... I wonder
if no one would minds me taking a gander!" He shifted himself as
he reactivated the gear and headed down a little until he
managed into the window.
"Whoa.... look at all these Books... and that pile of books..
and that... Purple lady throwing books at... Whoa whooooooa!! "
He exclaimed as he carefully hopped off the board, "H..hey Miss,
is this your place?"
He gazed at the weasel, "And is that your butler?"

Since the book had been dropped Wes knew that he had made a good
call and got back to his feet. "You betcha i'm real palsy,
durhur." he said as he began what he called his 'official
greeting' by shaking her hoof. "Wes Weasley's the naaame!
sellin's the game, YouNeedItIGotIt Don'tFindItI'llGetIt." he
stated shaking her hoof then running over and doing the same
rapid handshake to Hariander who had literally just jumped in.
"That's some skill you got there palsy, durhur." he said
to the new arrival seeming to completely ignore the question of
why the guy was here.

Maaan that guy is fast, Hariander couldn't help but chuckle,
"Hey Thanks! I guess you're a salesman and not a butler, huh? I
mean that would've been cool... wearing that crazy suit and
being a butler!"

Courtnee seemed overjoyed at the company of the two gentlemen.
She quickly picked up the books and neatly sat them in a stack
on the table. "So if I'm to understand this you two are here to
rescue me?" She asked seeming excited to finally get out of this
tower. "Let's go right now!" She said only to have her hopes
dashed as a large screech could be heard. "Oh...no it's here!
You have to hide." She said placing her hands on the air surfers
shoulders shoving him into salesmen trying to usher them into a
corner.

"Rescue?? You're locked in here?" He asked, about to ask her why
until she started to push him to a corner, "H...hey!" He
blinked, as he minimized his gear to its portable form, "Hide
from what??"
