The Good of The Many VS The Rights of The Few

A school bus full of children was speeding out of control and
heading towards a cliff face. The driver was knuckled
unconscious and the children abroad were crying and screaming in
panic. All hope seemed lost when running alongside the bus was
the blue blur himself. He gave a comforting smile and flicked a
two fingered salute to the kids. One little girl looked through
the tears in her eyes to spot the blue streak out of the window.
Seeing his smile comforted her and she begun jumping up and down
alerting the other children to his presence. [font=georgia]"Hey
everybody it's Sonic he'll save us." [/font]They begun to cheer.
Sonic sped up and ran to the front of the bus. "Don't worry kids
I'll get you out of here." He said before hitting the front of
the bus and digging his heels into the ground. He was attempting
stop the bus in it's tracks by running against it.

"I grow tired of waiting." Celestia said waiting outside of town
square. She flapped her wings and hovered into the air. As she
glides above her ground her horn and eyes light up a brilliant
shade of gold. "Locking onto high speed object." The magic
swirling around her horn goes faster until it explodes into a
beam shooting towards the heavens. [glow=red,2,300][font=times
new roman]"Let the one with wind blow my
direction."[/font][/glow] With that the beam of light instantly
transported Sonic to her location. This caused the bus to speed
up without anybody there to stop it. The craft of children then
drove off the cliff and sank into the sea killing all inside
within mere moments.

As Sonic slammed down infront of the alicorn he looked around
puzzled. He darted around town square. "W..here's the
....bus....the kids.....I've gotta...." His expression turned to
worry as he zipped around the white winged unicorn looking for
the yellow transport.

Kate, after being infected with neurotoxins a few days ago, was
still kind of weak from the damage done to her, though she was
just released not too long ago from the hospital. Walking down a
sidewalk in town, she soon ward the growing sound of a speeding
vehicle and a bus filled with screaming children went by.
Horrified and getting into her serious groove, she ran as fast
as her poisoned body allowed her to and witnesses as Sonic tried
to stop the bus from going down...only to disappear into a
blinding light, causing the bus to continue speeding along the
road and go off the cliff. Eyes widening, she hurried to the
cliff, and, without dreading over the consequences, she dived
off the cliff after them, intending to break all the glass
windows and pull each kid and the driver out as fast as
possible.

As Kate dove off the cliff after the children the submerged bus
exploded as the fuel leaked into the fire inside. The explosion
caused a large wave of water to shoot up knocking Kate back into
the cliff preventing her from reaching the ocean. As the waves
crashed down parts of the wreckage floated to the surface along
with the bodies. There were forty corpses in total no survivors
were among them. The intense light that called Sonic away was
still open to use as a portal leading to the same location.

Celestia looked as the creature seemed to be grief stricken. She
spoke her words calm and controlled. "Are....you alright?" She
asked placing a hand on his shoulder. "Have I called upon you at
a bad time?"

"Whoa--ACK!"
As Kate dived off the cliff, something in the water exploded and
the resulting humongous "tsunami" pressured water stream shot
her back up onto the cliff, knocking the air out of her lungs as
she rolled onto the pavement above. When the water went down and
was nothing but shock waves crashing into the rocks below, she
rolled until she could see over the edge and witnessed as bodies
of the dead children and other wreckage emerged onto the
surface, making her gasp in shock and horror. The
children--about forty of them--were all dead...every single last
one of them...
Gritting her teeth, Kate yelled out in anger and regret as she
brought her fist down and pounded the pavement in frustration,
fully aware that she was not able to save the children's
lives...but, neither did Sonic..
Speaking of Sonic... Kate turned around to see the place where
the blue hedgehog had disappeared, unable to place why he would
leave in the middle of trying to rescue the innocent children in
the first place. However, instead of a dead space, she saw an
intense light beam in its place, as if it was a portal that was
waiting to be entered by someone...maybe even someone like
her...
An idea sparked in her, suggesting that maybe Sonic was called
into it by this light and needed some help. Mustering up the
remaining of the fragile strength she currently had left, she
scrambled onto her feet and ran towards the light, disappearing
into this blinding radiance and warped into a new location...

Soul was passing by when he heard the screams of the children
and saw a bus driving out of control. He saw Sonic trying to
stop it but then he suddenly disappeared by a beam of light,
this lead to the bus hurling towards the cliff. The hedgehog was
shocked in the awful sight and dashed towards the cliff, but he
didn't make it in time as the bus exploded. "NO!!" he shouted in
agony. He used his soul perception ability to sense them but he
couldn't sense a thing, and was more shocked when he saw the
dead corpses rising from the waters.
He suddenly sensed a person nearby the cliff and went towards
it, there he saw an orange hedgehog but suddenly disappeared as
well. Infront of him he saw the intense light which made Sonic
and the other hedgehog disappear, he was curious and decided to
follow them. He disappeared and was warped to another place
which would be probably far away from the accident.

As Sonic saw his friends appear through the beam of light he
smacked the hand of the princess away and darted over to them.
"Soul....Rose....where is the bus..I have to.." He spat out his
speech as her was beyond nervous.

He arrived in another place and saw Sonic along with a female
unicorn in front of them. The moment Sonic mentioned about the
bus his ears went down he looked down on the ground with a sad
expression "We're sorry Sonic--but--" he couldn't finish the
sentence because of what happened.
