Rainy Day

Rain. Why did it have to be rain. Ajax had invited his friends
for a visit, but frowned as he looked outside one of the his
large wooden home's tiny windows. It was by no means a flash
flood, but it felt like it would be enough to drive them off. He
had spent a lot of time sprucing the pace up too; all the
furniture had been thoroughly cleaned, the cupboards stocked
with anything he felt they would enjoy, and he had even pulled
out some comfortable chairs around the fireplace.
The coat hangers beside the door were bare, the hat rack as
well. He gave a sigh before turning around, feeling lucky that
the top of his chimney had it's own rain cover, the fire blazing
perfectly warm. He glanced at the small stairway, wondering if
Natasha would join him in waiting. Otherwise, this cabin of his
was going to be a very lonely place.

Sapphire pounded on Ajax's door, "Ajax!" she bit her bottom lip,
and tried pressing her back as close to the door as possible,
trying to get away from the rain water.
She had an umbrella and a rain coat on, but was still a bit wet
from the rain.
"Ajax! Please, Let me in!" she called out, shivering.

Ajax's face lit up brightly, knowing the voice well. He was
quick to make his way to the door, opening it and smiling.
"Sapphire!" However, when he saw her standing under the awning,
drenched but still keeping as far away from the rain as
possible, he couldn't help but chuckle a little. "Today was a
bad day to invite you, I know." He stood aside, motioning for
her to come in.

"Relax Sapphire..its just the rain" Ty said to her as he
approaches a few seconds ago after she arrived. The hybrid is
not carrying any sort of umbrella nor is he wearing a rain coat
but rather wearing his normal clothes he has always worn since
day one. For the first time the hybrids hair is not sticking
upright due to the rain soaking it and now instead it mirrors
that of his brothers.

As soon as the door was opened she fell inside, letting out a
soft "oof" as she hit the floor.
She jumped to her feet and shook herself, like a dog would,
sending water droplets everywhere. Then she slipped off the
raincoat, and hung it and the umbrella up on the coat hangers,
before letting out a long, loud, sigh of relief.
She huffed at Ty, "yeah, and it's wet and slippery and stuff,
not to mention.. It's water" she crossed her arms, and tapped a
foot, "thank you, Ajax"

Having heard the commotion, Natasha strut down the stairs
lightly to see who it was that had arrived. Ajax had told her
that he had invited his friends, but she didn't actually expect
any of them to come in this rain. She stood there in her loose
clothing, simply giggling at the sight of the two guests at the
door, looking cold and drenched. "Let me go get some towels; it
looks like we'll need them after all."
After a quick moment, Natasha returned with several towels in
hand, holding them out to Sapphire and Ty so they could dry off.
She smiled, half tempted to hug Sapphire when she remembered who
she was. "Sapphire, it's good to see you! Here, you two should
take these; don't want you catching colds, now."

Ajax covered his eyes as Sapphire showered them with her
wetness, splattering water all over the walls and carpet. "You
know, you could of waited for a towel..." He took one of the
towels from Natasha, smiling at her as he did, and threw it over
Sapphire's head. "Come on in, Ty, you're welcome too. Sheesh,
with your hair that wet you kind of look like Blaze..." He
smiled; his friends were coming after all.

Ty chuckled at Natasha's remark at him catching a cold "cold?
lady..cold is my specialty" he said with a smirk as he then
walks inside the cabin and instead of using the towel he shakes
his fur like a dog to get the water off and his hair returns
upright.

As Ty shook himself dry as well, Ajax flinched when more water
began to hit his face. "Oh for Pete's sake, could you not ruin
the carpet and walls?" He threw the second towel directly at
Ty's face, hitting him lightly and falling into his arms.
"Common courtesy, man..."

A whooshing sound was heard and a blast of dust and water vapour
flew around as Shoke appeared in the center.
"Howsit going? Sorry if it took a while, I had to have my
technicians recalibrate the teleporter so that I could get
here." Shoke said as he looked at the rain clouds. "Huh. So
thats rain."
