(This takes place the past two years after Mobotroplois has been
reclaimed.)
Sonic wandered down the paths of Sally's private school he held
her hand tight in his looking into her eyes admiring her hair
blowing in the breeze. "You know Sal It's been magic spending
these last few days with you at your school. I know visitors
season is over soon so there is something I wanted to ask
you.Sally I love you.With all my heart and soul from the very
deepest place in my heart." Sonic smiled feeling at peace as he
took both of her hands in his. "Sal my passion for you is
burning way past. I want to stay with
you.....well...forever...." Sonic smiled and placed his hand
under Sally's chin.

Sally stepped back and slowly let Sonic's hand go pushing his
fingers away from her face. "Erm....thank you Sonic." These past
two years Sally had become more refined and felt Sonic was no
longer suited to her tastes. She looked away as the breeze blows
her auburn hair. "Sonic....this isn't working out. I invited you
here in hopes you would be more open with all these refined
things. But at dinner every night it was still chili-dogs. The
way you speak in front of my friends.......I'm sorry Sonic but I
think we should go back to just being friends."

Sonic's lower lip trembled as he was almost speechless his happy
smile fades as he looses grasp of the tiny red box in his hand.
His fingers loosen barely able to hold onto the box. He placed
his hand over his heart as it thuds not understanding.
"Sal.....I don't ...understand....I...Love...you..What are you
saying?" Sonic seemed confused and distraught as he came closer
trying to hug her.

She moved away not allowing Sonic to hug her as it would only
create a scene. She stepped back again away from his grasp.
"Sonic it's over. We are done go home to Mobotopolis. Sonic I'm
sorry." With that Sally turned and walked away he blue skirt and
brown hair blowing in the breeze.

As Sally moved away from his grasp Sonic tried to embrace her
once again. As she moved once more Sonic fell over trying to
grab onto her wanting to do nothing but hold her. He fell onto
his face tears streaming down his eyes as he moved onto his
knees desperately grasping at the air in front of him trying to
grab onto something. As he found no one or nothing to grab onto
he gasps for air his eyes turning glassy as tears leak from
them. After sucking down air his hand falls limp dropping the
red box. It cracks open on the sidewalk and a gold ring topped
with a diamond falls out and rolls onto the pavement beside
Sonic. He shivers and places his arms around himself to what
little comfort it would provide. "Sally....I
love...you.....sally....SALLLYYY!" Sonic howls from the very
depths of his soul his shrieks full of pain. He was ready to
give her his heart and she had just ripped it from his chest. It
wasn't long before he fell to the ground as his own arms
provided no comfort. He looked down to the warm stone as it
touched his skin and did nothing but weep.

With this display she felt bad for Sonic but it was what needed
to be done. It was a pitiful sight watching bleed out his
emotions onto the pavement like blood and tears. She kept
walking the clack of her heels helping drown out his screams of
sorrow. This was the man who had saved and served her so
fearlessly during the Freedom Fighter days. But that time has
passed it was time to move on.
