Of Sight, Of Sound Arc

[s][sub]Mostly put here so I don't forget... seeing as I don't
think this will start until towards the end of the year.[/sub]
Notes:
- This arc is partially based on a previous, incomplete arc of
mine
- They are an exclusive community. They were originally a cult,
but I already worked that aspect of their culture into the
Songbirds so that will be changed.
- Of Sight, Of Sound arc cannot function without prior arcs
happening before it. The more arcs happening before this one,
the bigger this arc will get as significant aspects from most
(hopefully) all will be integrated into this one. (If you play
Borderlands, think of this as the equivalent of Stacks! 8))
-They will make irregular appearances in everyone's arc; often
discussing their thoughts on the current situation and casually
interacting with some characters. They will not be doing
anything significant to distract/derail from current arc in
place.
- Anyone with characters who sell goods or services, please
contact me via PM to my Karahl account! :D
- Anyone who has a character who would be suitable as a victim
to a hostage situation, please contact me via PM to my Karahl
account!

[s]A community of Illusionists are about to take on their
biggest act yet.
For so long they have simply been on the stage to entertain,
marvel audiences with their talents; but with the new generation
of Mobians bringing in new ideas, discoveries, talents and
powers, the Brume Verrouiller le Magnifique'[sub] (Haze Locks
the Magnificent) [/sub] presence has become more discreet. So
much so that their full title is less heard of than their
abbreviated names "La Brume" [sub](Mist or Haze)[/sub]. This
abbreviated term is considered shameful within the performing
community. Shunned off to the sidelines, no longer heard of and
bankrupt. They have always been around, for decades in fact,
spread about all of Mobius in countless cities, towns, villages,
hamlets and even the more secluded communities; traveling to
perform under the guidance of their 'Le Gérant'.
With their downfall and eyes and ears all around they have
picked up on the recent events. Crisis events to be more
specific. Robotnik, Ninja Cults, individuals asserting visions,
military forces, prophecies and general disruptions of everyday,
safe living; La Brume's ''Le Gérant' had come up with an idea.
All of these events must be happening for a reason, perhaps
these individuals and groups imposing danger or their ideals
onto the world were all doing it for a reason...
"But why have they failed? Why have these very same Mobians
interfere with such events every single time?"
See the La Brume are a highly talented bunch with their
illusions; even in such a way that they have perfected the art
of impersonations. Working in pairs they are able to impersonate
any individual at any given time. Being as observant as they
are, they have even perfected their individual mannerisms.
Spying. Working. Luring.
Their ''Le Gérant' is a whole different story, however. His 'Le
Travailleur' are the ones whom perform illusions; he has the
capabilities of shifting reality itself. The La Brume's ''Le
Gérant' is about to go back and bring forth the realities and
events again, picking out where goals' have failed... and change
them to succeed.
Events of past arcs will be revisited.
Failures will become success.
How will these successes intertwine with the ''Le Gérant's'
plans?
How many times will you die?
Will you truly die permanently? Or is it just an illusion?
Will you be caught in an endless cycle of illusions? Or will you
just be caught in unfortunate event after event when it is
actually happening?
Come one, come all! For the most spectacular show in all of
Mobius!
Join us in the act Of Sight, Of Sound!
... Where even you will question, who in Mobius can really be
trusted?

- This will NOT be rewriting canon in the end. All of these
reality shifts and illusions are just a part of the show!
- I will be asking SOME people to be my Sub-Arc Hosts to help me
write these events.
- I will be asking SOME people to make their own
[color=orange]La Brume' OCs to go under cover as their own OCs
at any given time between now and the end of my second arc.
- Being undercover it REQUIRES you to keep this secret! Who
knows, your OC's best friend might be an imposter the entire
time...
- Reality Shifts are when events are actually happening.
Illusions are not really happening.
- You will need to investigate and fight your way through to
determine what is real and what isn't.
- You are to determine who is real and who isn't.
... But most importantly. You need to determine when you are
real or not.[/color][/s]

("Welcome ladies and gentlemen! Boys and girls! To the most
spectacular performance in all of Mobius! Presenting the
talented, the amazing, the grandiose and absolutely
invigorating… Mist-Lock the Magnificents! ")
A group of Performers are about to take the stage by storm,
letting all of Mobius that they are back! Once highly successful
and popular in their time several decades ago, they had reached
bankruptcy and had dispersed looking for new ways of life to
make a living... until now. These French Perfomers highly
specialize in Illusions, mastery of the manipulation 'Of Sight,
and Of Sound' have been reeled back in by their boss strictly
addressed as, 'Le Gérant' (The Manager). Le Gérant has
discovered a way to bring the mastery of their performances to a
whole new level, for all of Mobotropolis to enjoy.
Join the Mist-Locks as they set out all over Mobotropolis and
watch you go about your everyday activities, everyday clashes
and reel you in to become part of the act! A place where even
you, as the RPer, will begin to develop an uncertainty as to
whose side each RPer is on. Will you be lost in a maze of
illusions or are you actualyl expeirence pure hell?! Who will be
a part of the act of betrayal? Who try and end the madness? Or
who will simply indulge as the world turns up-side-down?
If that wasn't enough, a certain robotosized-tiger is on the
loose, gathering data of everything necessary to feed Doctor
Robotnik... but also turning groups of citizens into mindless
cyborgs as she steals their memories, personalities, quirks,
knowledge from them; leaving them like living vegetables. Is she
a part of the 'performance'? Or is this just adding to the list
of problems for you to deal with?

[li]This arc is determined by you, all your actions and other
choices - including on how you will enter the first thread -
will result in how the arc will be affected. The overall ending
being good or bad and everyone's individual good/bad endings
based on your decisions. (Essentially think Mass Effect in
regards to how the arc has been structured.) There are
approximately twelve different endings in place! Maybe more,
depending on what you choose![/li]
[li]This Arc is not suitable for RPers who do not like a
challenge or potential character development! Older members know
that I absolutely detest the "I win because awesome!" attitude.
So if you feel like you need to absolutely control every tiny
aspect of what happens to your OC this isn't the arc for you in
your oh-so-perfect headcanon![/li]
[li]Please note, for a more satisfactory resolution for your
character it is highly advised to participate in the first
thread and throughout the arc. Latecomers can still participate
of course, but it may affect the result of your characters.[/li]
[li]This arc requires regular participation from characters!
Please only RP as many characters as you can manage at one
time.[/li]
[li]Deception is a BIG deal in this arc! I will be assigning
some of you as imposters to impersonate your own characters
using their proper accounts! (Mwahaah!) What does this mean? It
means I will be giving some of you Mist-Lock OCs to go
undercover! More details will be given to the selected RPers via
messages.[/li]
[li]This arc requires some hostages! Please PM if you would like
to participate! I have a whole plotline waiting for you... so no
you're not going to just be sitting helpeless in a room or
something the entire time![/li]

Please ensure to re-read the Rules and Guidelines if you need to
refresh your memory![/li]
[li]Like my first arc, I will be your lovely 'Dungeon Master'
once again! Based on your decisions, you will trigger certain
events, so I control what events happen when, the plot, the
NPCs, environment and how your characters' attacks will affect
any characters or the environment. Meaning that you can't
instantly kill an NPC because awesome. This is just to make sure
that things don't go out of hand and more importantly, do not
derail the arc. (Note: Events are triggered by your choices. For
example, if your character chooses the 'Renegade' option in a
situation, you will get event B instead of event A.[/li]
[li]ou have 48 hours from the date and time of the first thread
as your participating character(s) if you want a pretty
significant role. Anyone can still post after the 48 hour
deadline but chances of getting a bigger role may be lower since
as DM I would have had already locked the story into place,
so-to-speak.[/li]
[li]Please bare in mind that I work 4-6 days a week and that I
can only RP when not at work or during my breaks at work! So all
I need is patience from you - you can RP in What Ifs while you
wait if you have been bitten by the Writing Bug. This arc may
take a little longer than the first one, but we'll get there. :)
Plus this is forum RP, not IM RP! Anyone can post when it is
convenient for them. If you do not like to wait or do not like
the idea of a Dungeon Master in play, then this arc isn't for
you.[/li]
[li]The ability to keep secrets from each other is CRUTIAL!!
Please do not spill the beans onto others RPers or the fun will
be ruined... besides you get to have more fun this way. ;)[/li]
