The fox looked up at her, a little lost, but he needed the
opportunity she offered. "I'd love to, honestly. I'll stick
around till then."
His patches continued to flicker, though the tinge of purple
seemed to have popped up every now and then. Even Sy didn't know
what it was, all he knew is that oftentimes in his travels he'd
glow red around things such as lava flows. Purple was not part
of what he knew....
"I....I don't know, actually. Why am I losing photon points for
no reason? What am I reacting to? This is...new.."

"...Photon Points?" She asked, moving to wipe off more tables,
"Can you get any weirder??"

The fox just gave her a bored-looking glance, a brow raised.
"I'm Emulan. At least cut me a little slack for being from a
secluded village in the middle of nowhere." He half-teased,
opening the monitor and showing her. It was now at 93/100.
"This is pretty much monitoring me. How I'm doing, how much
energy I spend in combat, and so on. It is measured out of
one-hundred. One hundred means I'm in great shape. I'll never
see zero, though." He shrugged, looking it over.
"It's not at full, but I haven't DONE anything yet..." He stared
at it, curious.
"Anyway, don't worry about it. I'm sure it's no big deal! Don't
mind me, do whatcha gotta do, and we'll chill and spar after
your shift, kay?" He smiled a bit sheepishly her way, before
turning his attention back to the device on his arm.

Hackel continued to sip the tea lightly, now ignoring the
conversation between Syruchi and Udiya as it drifted away from
the subject of Venus. He looked questioningly to Magnolia, and
asked somewhat slowly, "You work the counter... Have you heard
much about what people think of Venus?.. You mentioned Flavie,
someone who might know her?.."

Magnolia thought about it, "Work the counter....? Oooooooh!! Oh
no no, I'm just helping out here... This is my Hubby Barnsy's
Diner~ I just help out when he asks for help or when I don't get
a lot of work for my florist~" She smiled, then thought about
his other remark, and for a few minutes seemed to space out.
"Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Venus.... That mouse... Flavie was talking
about hacking.... for trying to pinpoint the broadcast I
think... It's something technological or something..."
She played with her braid, "Lots of people are complaining about
that shield thingy... But a lot of people are talking about how
some places were damaged... but then the police suddenly got it
together and got the looters... and that... Udisy and her super
psychedelic friend over there..." she pointed to Syruchi and
Udiya, "Were some real heroes~"

Syruchi's work was interrupted quickly, as he heard that word.
Heroes.
Heroes....
He shook his head, waving a hand her way. "A-aaah! I'm no hero!
I just did what I felt was the best solution for everyone.
Anyone can do it, not just me! I appreciate the compliment, but
it's not my place to be a hero, haha. ....especially after I
went and mocked a bunch of gits in the park right afterwards out
of irritation." He smiled sheepishly, before another flash of
purple had him back to his device.
"Anyone can take initiative. I was simply the first one to do
so. Nothing really special that no one else can do, really!" He
sighed, having no explanation for his device's wonky functions.
"I just wish I was an engineer, rather, heh!"

Hackel closed his eyes and nodded; people aren't siding with
Venus, they're just complaining about the shield she made. Proof
that people weren't exactly on her side, at least. He thought on
the last phrase she said, and looked over his shoulder, back to
Syruchi and Udiya. "Maybe... and maybe they just have their
hearts in the right place..."
He turned back slowly, pondering over it all, and took another
sip of tea. "I guess it's good to know some people kept it
together and calmed everyone down at least... I would of tried
myself, but people may not have been as accepting of my...
design." He looked at his mechanical arm, his hand making a
single revolution, then returned his gaze to her. "You said
Flavie was... trying to pinpoint the broadcast... Would you be
willing to point me to her?.." Maybe it was possible that she
knew Venus better.
Maybe... That's when he heard Syruchi. He turned slowly, a
poisonous glare emitting from his eyes. "If you're talking about
Ajax, then you need to learn who you're talking about before
mocking them..." He turned away, waiting for any sort of answer
from Magnolia.

Sy's brow furrowed, not returning the glance. "Attitude check,
buddy. Already learned my lesson, what you're doing is
unnecessary, nor is it requested. I'm referring to the whole
lot, I will have you know. Nor has my opinion on the folks I
encountered changed for the most part. Please refrain from
speaking to me again." He rolled his eyes, trying to focus on
his work.
His device was acting strange, but his BODY was as well. Was it
the device, or was it just trying to get a bearing on his
status? What the hell was this purple shade from? He wished he
had a browser on this damn thing. He simply thwacked it with his
fist out of frustration with a sigh, as it dropped to 90 PP.

"You're entitled to your opinion, just keep it to yourself."
Hackel took a last drink of tea and placed the cup down gently,
still looking to Magnolia. "How much do I owe you?"

"You're the one who spoke out to me, pal. I simply spoke my mind
and owned up to my mistake. So if you have a problem, I return
your very advice; keep it to yourself or confront me in private.
I already have enough headaches, I wish to not add another to
that list." He got up with a slight stagger, stretching to try
and loosen up his muscles in the vain hopes of regaining control
of his own energies.
"Anywho, Udiya." He glanced over to her, a hand on his hip. "Do
you perchance know anyone with engineering expertise? Or at
least how I can implement a browser into my device? There's a
reason for it, I assure you."
