"Greatly appreciated, but that's all. I'm still trying to work
out what' going on around the city. Though last night.... didn't
give me any clues at all" He took the cup and started drinking.
He needed the caffeine. "I'm sorry, I think I said too much.
Much more to the one person I met too. Thankyou though, for the
coffee I mean"
Nyxus raised his face with a smile, "It's nice to see a kind
face every once in awhile. Even if it is just for coffee"

She blinked and tilted her head, setting down a menu just in
case, an earinged ear twitching as she remarked, "Might I say,
Sir you look and smell like Death warmed over."
Udiya shrugged, and nodded, "Plenty of Kind faces... as for this
City.. it's weird. And so is most of its denizens..."

The fox continued to work within his own mind, gathering his
thoughts, taking what Venus and Udiya said to heart. He had to
if he was ever going to move forward.
Hearing that Nyxus guy again....served only to hit nerves. Why
was that hypocrite here? Why here of all places? He grit his
teeth as he tried to just dwell on his situation, looking over
his HoverGlider, trying to think of how to make it
more...useful.

Nyxus nodded to Udiya, suddenly acquiring a cold expression, "I
can agree on weird. The first few people I really talked to
here, only fought. The last two... Left me gasping for air, then
left me paralyzed."
He sighs as he looks down to his coffee, staring at his
reflection in the surface, "Everyone said many things. Honestly,
I still don't get what they were saying"

The fox groaned rather audibly. "Really? You seem to be leaving
out some particular details, robed boy." Sy stood up, though
with a bit of a struggle, eyes narrowed. "Careful what you say,
Nyxus. Don't lie about someone who is right there, and who had
every reason to tell you off." His glare was cold, withholding a
quiet snarl.
"You are a wishy-washy hypocrite who does not know what he
preaches. That's what I remember clearly. There is a reason I
told you off, and I'm sure you know why."
His temper was flaring up, but the words of Venus and Udiya rang
in his ears once more, and he collected his nerves. "....I'm
going to go outside. Thanks for the soda, Udiya, I really
appreciated it." He handed her another $10, before making his
way outside as quickly as possible, lest he have to hear more.

Hackel smiled lightly at the kind face of Digby's wife; what
fresh hell had she seen to leave her unmoved by his mug. He
listened carefully to the aggressive banter between the robed
hedgehog and the glowing fox, but disregarded it when it was
apparent it had nothing to do with Venus. Wait, he told himself;
someone will talk about it eventually. "You don't happen to have
any ale here, do you?"

The dreamy eyed 'roo smiled and tilted her head quizzingly,
"Ale?? Mmmmmmm...." She thought about it for a moment, then
shook her head, "...mmmmmmno. But I could get you coffee or
tea~"

"Tea then, please. Sweetened, if you would." It felt odd that
they had a bar with no alcohol, but it made little difference to
him. He was listening carefully to the talk in the diner,
wondering if he would maybe hear something of importance.

Udiya glanced over to Syruchi and frowned," try and find some
place to sleep, For someone so flipping upbeat... You are
reaaaaally grouchy when you just wake up!" She shook her head,
knowing she gave the fox her number in case of him doing
something stupid.
She looked back to Nyxus and muttered, "Soooooo care to explain
what he means? And when I say weird I mean people who look like
they belong to a comic book convention weird."

Nyxus sigheD and drank his coffee, "We misunderstood each other.
Just like now, when i meant we fought, i meant through words. I
don't mean to be hypocritical, but it seems my intentions and my
words were misconstrued."
"It's complicated. But we had a fight, he saw one thing, when I
saw another. To keep it simple. I don't want any more
misunderstandings. Even the ninja holding me at my throat and
his flirtatious mate did so"
He set the cup down, soon regarding the news report earlier this
morning. "Apparently all of this is getting bigger and bigger.
I'm concerned, and want to make the best of things, or be ready
for the worst."
