       Act Two [Digby's Diner]
By: Udiya Keegan Date: March 29, 2014, 10:17 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
As it was in the morning, the Diner was Busy, Udiya was rushing
about to help the diner since the wee hours in the morning, and
having a bit less than an few hours left til classes (That
weren't canceled much to her chagrin)
She was handling orders like a champ, with two shots of an
energy drink in her and a sleeping Glowing douche of a fox who
followed her home, ordered pizza and somehow managed to get her
to let him sleep the night.
..Well there he was... sleeping in a booth in the back corner as
       she worked like a dog.
...She had to remind herself to deck him in the face for saying
       school would be canceled!
She didn't study for that exam for her anatomy class.
"Stupid fu'cking glowstick fox.. Imma give him a piece of my
mind..." she hissed bitterly glaring at him "and a piece of my
knuckle and a piece of my steel-toed boot up his a'ss and... Did
you want anything else sir!?" She asked, switching on the
Patented Diner Girl Charm, a faked sweet smile as she poured a
mug of coffee for an elderly pig.
"No no Sweetie but thanks." He smiled weakly.
She cringed, hoping he didn't hear her rant.
"Can I say, thank you for calming down everyone last night too?"
       He remarked.
       "Me but I didn't..."
"You were on the news this morning! Like right there see?" He
pointed to the TV where there was the telecast of her in her
lavender work dress... instead of the pastel Yellow dress she
       wore that day.
"...All I did was get their attention, I didn't do anything.
Here, lemme just get your receipt sir..." She remarked, as she
       hurried to the counter,
Yeesh, like she needed to have the spotlight on her.
But she smiled a little... her Pops would be so pleased with
       her.

The door opened quietly as a uniformed figure entered the diner.
Hackel glanced over the patrons of the establishment, an
emotionless gaze moving across might as well have been statues.
He had convinced Armond to leave him for the time being, so that
he may have a chance to mingle with the citizens to gather
information. He had done so many times in Miana, but here he
felt out of place; this was not his city.
He waited patiently in line, hoping to maybe have some coffee
and gauge whether or not the chaos had finally subsided. There
was little he could ask; if people were truly debating as Venus
claimed, they would be speaking calmly over her transmissions.
He wondered if most of them even knew of the barrier she had
       enveloped the city in.

She walked up to the.... well another weird-looking Mobian, and
held out an Menu, "Welcome to Digsby's Diner, did you want the
bar or a Booth?" She questioned, feigning every ounce of her
being not to question why he looked like a nerdy costumed
       reject.

Bar or Booth? He thought quickly on it; a quick drink wouldn't
hurt. If anything, it would help him stay calm and think
clearly. He loosened the bolts of his breathing mask and
revealed his gnarled muzzle. "Bar, please." He didn't know
whether or not to take the menu, but decided it only reasonable
to accept it when offered. From the look in her eye, she seemed
to be trying desperately to hide something; probably a face of
disgust at his appearance, which felt reasonable. He made a
quick glance over it, hoping that he would not regret the
       decision to... mingle.

The glowing fox hadn't been 'glowing' for a good long while,
every luminescent patch of his having faded drastically as he
slept. It so happened that the instant he entered the diner with
Udiya, his consciousness was forcibly pried from him due to
relying solely on soda to function. It may have also been why
his behavior was so strange prior. However, the very patches
came alive like a light recovering its fuse.
He snapped awake, looking around in a frenzy. "GAH! WHAT! I
DIDN'T DESTROY IT! Wait....what....where the hell did I end
up?!" He grunted, looking about. All he remembered was how he
let down Venus with his erratic behavior.
"Ugh....why does my head hurt?" He tried to stand up, only to
gracelessly slam back down to one knee.

She grimanced slightly, as she Motioned him over to the counter,
where the Owner was in the back kitchen yet again, his
constantly dreamy-eyed wife manning the counter yet again.
She tilted her head, and smiled, "Hiiiiiiii" she cooed, Not at
       all phased by his face.
"All yours Ma'am!" Udiya remarked, upon hearing the outburst of
       the glowing fox.
"Your Head hurts because stupid you crashed and burned taking me
over here!" She barked. She moved to set down a cup of the same
type of soda he wanted the other day.

He groaned, ears flat as he rubbed his head. "Eugh.....yeah
yeah, sorry..." He grumbled, looking at the soda deliriously,
       then up to Udiya.
"Wow. Thank you, Udiya. Sorry for all the trouble, regardless."
He took a sip, eyes closed. It looked like all it did this time
was soothe him, it becoming very apparent that the previous
night's flub-up was still affecting him.
"Hey." He looked up to her, still waking up, "How do you control
       a hot-headed temper? I mean....I know you're a bit aggressive,
but..you weren't the one mouthin' off last night." The bags
under his eyes were still very apparent; he must have deprived
himself of even more sleep than his stay in the city.

Nyxus walked through the diner, feeling a bit sore from the
powder of last night. He kept his hood on, feeling weak and
       tired.
He walked up to the counter, "One cup of coffee please..."
He felt tired, he needed the energy boost. He could've went back
to his place, but he didn't have the energy. Last night
exhausted him, in both body and mind, with a faded shudder of
Maeri's giggle ringing through his mind

She places her hands on her hips, "I have a terrible super bad
temper. But I want to be a nurse. I can't loose my temper around
others... Because if I do... well who would they lean on if the
one person who is there to help... is also freaking out?"
Udiya sighed slightly, "It's really hard not to lose it... I'm
just glad Mr. Digsby lets me stay after my antics..."
"Hold that thought..." She picks out a warming coffee pot, and a
mug as she guides the third person in the fashion house of
horrors to walk into the Diner that day.
She sits him in a booth near the front door, pouring the coffee
in a mug, "Is that all sir?" she asked.

The fox nodded quietly, taking another quick sip. "Good
point....really good point." He looked down at his hands, and
his energy meter, with a quiet sigh.
"Well, you're a good person, if anything. I guess it just takes
work." He smiled tiredly at her, before he looked about. He was
thinking of a means to apologize for his blunder, but he had no
means how. But....given Venus's disposition with him, he doubted
she'd be contacting him soon, if at all.
That gave him time to work on himself. She had made a good
point, and in a way, he was glad she called him out on his
irrational behavior. He just wished he had a means of providing
a proper apology. But hey, he had time.
....and that's when his gaze fell upon that shrouded guy from
way before. His brow furrowed almost instantly; he had wished
the guy would have disappeared from his life, still very unhappy
about having to have dealt with him before. He proceeded to
shift himself so he'd be out of sight, in no mood to deal with
more than he already had to.
