The tiny girl was excited she so wanted to meet these other
children. Vanessa was even more excited at the prospect of
learning from the AI's themselves. For a small girl she had an
unquenchable thirst for knowledge. "Then that is a trait we
share. I cannot wait to meet them. Miss Venus? If it's not too
much trouble may I please write you a paper of what I learn from
you today?" As they reached the lab she was giddy with glee even
going as far as to ignore her hunger pains. This was the best
day of her life.

"Of course, my dear." She smiled, a hand on the scanner as the
lab door Opened.
The corridor was quiet, as she turned towards the right, into
the Kitchen.
There were a few flying robotic chao floating about, the Kitchen
was a bit of a mess, as it dusted with flour;
A Red-lined Chao and a Orange Lined chao seemed to be arguing a
bit, with the Red one covered in flour.
[MY DOUGH WAS AWESOME, I BET SHE'LL LIKE MY PIZZA MORE! YOU
DIDN'T EVEN PUT PEPPERONI ON YOUR PIZZA!]
[....KINO.. MOTHER IS A PESCATARIAN. MOTHER DOESN'T EAT ANY MEAT
BUT FISH. SHE WOULD NOT EAT YOUR PIZZA.]
The Red-lined one stalled for a moment, then huffed and crossed
his arms, [...W...WELL MAYBE HER GUEST MIGHT LIKE MY PIZZA!]
"I am sure... both of your Pizzas are quite fine." She
concluded, as she looked around and set the bags on the counter.
[HELLO MOTHER.] Portoka Chimed,
[MOTHER! YOU'LL EAT MY PIZZA RIGHT!?] Kino inquired.
"Yes, my sweet Kino... I'll eat your pizza~" She smiled weakly,
"...Though where did you even manage the pepperoni?"
[WELL IT WAS IN THE FRIDGE SO...]
"Oh! Well... that isn't exactly... meat. It's fake meat."
[OH! HA! WHAT NOW TOKA?! MOTHER WILL TOTALLY LIKE MY PIZZA
BETTER THAN YOURS!]
[...UNLIKELY. MY PIZZA WAS MADE EXACTLY AS MOTHER USUALLY
PREFERS IT.]
"I am sure I would like the both of your pizzas and love them
all the same." Venus finalized, "However the Kitchen is a
terrible mess, Won't you two Clean it up?"
[..KINO IS THE ONE WHO SULLIED IT.]
[SHE SAID BOTH. STOP BEING LAZY PORTOKA!]
[...I AM NOT BEING LAZY. I AM SIMPLY STATING THE TRUTH.]
Venus coughed and made a bit of a face, as the two Robot Chao
looked at each other,
[...YES MOTHER.]
[YES MOTHER.]
"Thank you. Now! I would Like the two of you to say hello to
Vanessa."
She kneeled down, and carefully hugged the small Chipmunk. "She
will be staying with us tonight."

Watching the two robots act so sentient so intelligent made
Vanessa's brain almost explode. As Venus hugged her she smiles
and cuddled her back. Looking to the two Robo chao preparing
pizza she plucked them both from the air cuddling them. She
squealed and held them tight as her childish nature took over.
"Oh hello you are such little cuties. I'm Vanessa what are your
names? Are you both as smart as you are cute? Do you have over
500 terabits of on board memory? Are you all AI did you know you
have the best mummy in the world? Whats your favorite color? Can
we be friends? Can I examine your sister board? Do you like me I
like you?" She didn't even stop for a breath between words as
she spoke fast.

Kino was the first to squirm and argue [LET ME GO! UGH! IF I WAS
A PUPPY I WOULD SUFFOCATE!] he wailed out.
Portoka struggled, then gave up, finalizing she would stop
hugging her if her questions were answered;
[...THAT IS KINO. I AM PORTOKA. WE ARE AI WE LEARN. IQ IS
IRRELEVANT AS ONLY ORGANIC LIFEFORMS NEED SUCH THINGS. OUR BOARD
MEMORY CHANGES AS OUR HARDWARE IS UPGRADED CONSTANTLY. WE ARE
AI. YES WE DO. IRRELEVANT QUESTION. ANOTHER IRRELEVANT QUESTION.
ABSOLUTELY NOT. I DO NOT KNOW YOU...]
"Portoka..." Venus carefully chided, "She... will be your
sibling." She insisted, "Their favorite colors are what you can
see on them, Kino adores red, while Partoka prefers Orange."
Portoka blinked, then tilted her head [I AM SORRY MOTHER. BUT I
DO NOT UNDERSTAND THESE QUESTIONS...]
"It's alright. This will give you a chance to learn. But
Vanessa, Can you please let them go for a bit... I am sure they
have to take the pizzas out of the oven."

Vanessa released them upon Venus's instruction like a good girl.
She patted them and smiled she didn't care they were being rude
to her they were wonders. When she heard Venus's mention the
fact they would soon be siblings she smiled and clasped her
hands together standing on her tippy toes. Her eyes full of hope
as Clunk held a claw out to the two Robo Chao. "Mummy?" Vanessa
gasped with excitement.

She looked towards her as she nodded, "I.. was thinking about
it... And I would love to have such a sweet natured, brilliant
minded girl as my daughter."
Venus carefully picked her up. "You need a place to flourish...
I can give you that and much much more..."
Kino grumbled as he floated towards the oven to take the Pizzas
out, the tendrils from his small hands holding the oven open,
then using oven mitts to take the pizzas out.
Portoka shook Clunk's claws, though seemed rather weary.

Vanessa nodded hey eyes lite up like starry nights over the
country side. This was her dream come true this lovely woman as
her mother kind caring and understanding. The small chipmunk
girl threw her arms around the knockout mouse crying. "Yes yes I
love you Mummy." After that Vanessa wouldn't let go for a full
hour. This was the start of her new life after an hour had
passed the two talked long into the night eating the mostly cold
pizzas. Vanessa made friends with each and every of Mother's
creation that most to a liking to even Simon seemed happy to
meet his new sister. Soon they unveiled the Sonic cake and she
seemed happy as she made her wish and ate it. In truth she
didn't make a wish she had everything she wanted right here
under this roof. The little girl felt blessed and was happy for
a time. Weeks passed and Vanessa grew to love her new Family.
Her Chao brothers and sisters and her wonderful Mother. Vanessa
as a favor to Venus was so well behaved she cooked and cleaned
just like the other robo chao. She advanced in Robotics
upgrading Clunk so much she won first prize in the science fair.
That day she felt so accomplished her intelligence was an asset
not a liability.
As the weeks turned to months mother and daughter bonded
teaching each other everything they knew about life and
machinery. They built many things but the most important thing
they had built was their relationship.Vanessa loved her mother
very much so much on the days Venus left her alone she would
dress up like Venus and play with Simon. As almost a year had
passed under the instruction of her mothers guidance Vanessa won
two very prestigious awards in the field of AI and robotics. Now
closer than ever Vanessa was the best daughter she could be
living happily. But on the eve on her second birthday they spent
together she fell ill.
Venus awoke one night to a very upset Vanessa clutching her
stomach crying. "Mummy I feel sick." After weeks of testing and
doctors visits Vanessa was diagnosed with silent song. An
illness that would slowly eat away at her life force until there
was nothing left. The doctors found the cause of this was the
day Venus had met Vanessa. The day the boys beat her up again
her body was at breaking point and the illness was triggered as
a result. There was no known cure. Vanessa passed away three
weeks later.
The day of her funeral service they were on a grassy field it
was raining as if the sky itself was weeping for this poor girl.
The only people to attend were Venus her children and Sonic.

Venus... She was quiet, trying to remain emotionless, as every
time she felt a tear...
She quickly closed her eyes, until it wasn't apparent.
Her head lowered, as she slowly walked towards the coffin.
Tracing it with a shaken hand.
She didn't bother with an umbrella, all she simply did was stare
at the coffin.
and as she had both hands on the coffin, she...
Broke down.
Ears lowered, face distorted and hidden as she couldn't hold it
in much longer.
She refused to cry, she kept a kind gentle smile for Vanessa.
She wouldn't let her see how afraid... how frightened she was
for her...
She reassured her.
She wouldn't let her see the nights where she tried to figure
out everywhich way to cure her.
Nothing.
Not again.
...Not again.
She was a mess against that coffin for... what seemed like a
day, she refused to move from it.
...In fact she visited the coffin every week... then every
month.
To which she continues to do.
Every time she found a scientific discovery she visited Little
Vanessa's coffin and explained everything to her.
The algorithms... the theories that came to create it.
All while bringing a bushel of blue forget-me-nots, and white
roses, all tied together with a baby blue bow.

One Tuesday when Venus was quoting something about science Sonic
wouldn't understand he finally decided to interrupt her. He has
his hands in his pockets and spoke as if he was calm knowing
Vanessa was at peace. "She was something special wasn't she? She
used to follow me around after school telling me how great you
were. I know that look in her eye. It's same one Tails has when
he looks at me. Speaking of Tails the little guy was torn up
when I told him. He always had a crush of sorts on her. You two
were close." Sonic knowing him and Venus didn't get along
decided to show a little comfort. He placed his hand on her
shoulder. "Venus I'm sorry about Vanessa."
Clunk had sat by her coffin since the day she passed away never
moving a sprocket waiting for his friend to return. He was
rusted and offline having waited for so long.

She breathed deeply, as she bit her bottom lip.
"...She was so special... It wasn't her time... " She whispered,
her ears lowered.
"...And I couldn't save her... " she muttered, closing her eyes
tightly then reopening them.
She turned and looked back at him, her face returning to being
unemotional. "...I lost my train of thought... I'll tell her the
rest of it another time."
She carefully stroked Clunk's cheek, placing the flowers into
his arms, "It looks like I will have to fix you when I return as
well..."
She walked past Sonic and said nothing further.
