"Okay Miss Venus." She held her hand tight and smiled as Clunk
walked ahead of them and opened the door for them. "Thank you
Clunk." She said patting his head. "He's such a good boy."

"Thank you, Clunk." She agreed, "He is, very sweet too."
The whole bakery smelled sweet and had lots of cakes on display.
as well as other things.
She walked her towards a birthday cake catalog, breathing deeply
as she slowly picked her up so she could get a better view.
She was trembling a little bit, but refused to show such a
weakness, she had to be strong to support little Vanessa.
"Here we are, let's try it this way~ Would you like a princess
cake? Or perhaps a dinosaur cake?" she asked as she helped her
turn pages.

She seemed excited as she was lifted up to see the book better.
Looking over all the childish cakes she shook her head
dissatisfied. "No is there one based off Isaac Asimov's three
laws of robotics? Or maybe a Sonic one?" She said excited
flipping the pages.

Venus had... quite the small smile on her face;
"If only... Most Mobians aren't able to understand such a
fascinating concept."
...she brought up Sonic again, as she frowned and inquired,
"Vanessa_ my dear... may I ask why you want a Sonic cake?"

She smiled looking up to the lovely lady with almost an
expression of pure bliss. "I know everyone says bad things about
him. And I know he hangs out with some bad people to. But just
like you Sonic has a good heart. He's the reason why I was able
to make Clunk. Sonic isn't like us I can feel these things. But
both you and Sonic have something beautiful inside of you. It's
hard for some people to see it but its there I know it is. Thats
why I shared my cuddles with both of you.You were both very nice
to me."

She listened to her, her ears flattened for a moment.
Common traits of a hero...
"I do not understand why someone would want to be horrible to
such a sweet, sweet child." She muttered.
"Though why do you think he consorts with bad people?" She
asked, slowly moving her towards the counter, and added, "A two
layer chocolate cake please. She wishes to have Sonic on the
cake."

"Because the robot news lady is always saying bad things about
him." She smiled as she was placed on the counter she giggles
and waves her feet about in her blue booties. "Hehe you know
your very pretty to. I hope I'm as pretty as you when I grow
up." Vanessa was growing attached to Venus it seems as she held
out her arms seeming as if she wanted to be within the mothers
embrace.

"..It's not a good thing to follow the news~" Venus insisted,
"No matter how interesting her model type is... The media isn't
every a good source for information."
As she waited for the Baker to work on the cake... which would
take a good half an hour at the least... she looked down to the
little chipmunk, and smiled a lot more.
No one but her robotic children wanted affection like this...
It was nice.
She carefully hugged her small body, murmuring, "You are already
very pretty, Vanessa."

Getting a cuddle she seemed very content. "He he you really
think so?" She looked around and nodded after squeezing Venus
tight. "Okay Miss Venus I will not pay any more attention to the
news." She nodded like a good girl as if accepting the age old
term mother knows best. "Thank you again for fixing Clunk,saving
me and buying me a cake." Vanessa's eyes begun to well up with
tears of joy. "Thank joo soooo much Miss Venus." She wasn't used
to this much kindness it was almost like an overload for her.

"Good Girl." She nodded, still smiling a bit, "Your little Robot
friend deserves to be able to move about and be happy as much as
you do, you know.,"
She picked out a handkerchief from her purse and dried her eyes,
"It's also your birthday, my Dear. " She whispered, and pulled
back from her, looking her in the eyes. "These things should be
normal for a sweet little girl to have on her special day." She
nodded,
"But there has to be something you want for your birthday, yes?
Not just a cake."
