A Game of Paintball

Ajax sat alone in the forest, waiting for his friends to arrive.
A large assortment of paintball guns were scattered about at his
feet. Around him were numerous large logs and stick piles he had
arranged earlier, lining the woods like makeshift trenches.
Beside him lay several sets of padding. He was waiting to start
a paintball war.

Ryder was ironically at the forest while was doing his task; it
was when he found a familiar lynx with a bunch of padding and
paint ball guns.
"Hmm, paintball guns and padding huh? Two things; where have I
seen you before and are you starting a paintball war or
something?" Ryder asked, putting a glass with a flower in it
down on a near by rock.

Ajax chuckled at Ryder's comment. "To answer your first
question, the hospital. Second question... you guess." He gave
him a maniacal grin for a moment before beginning to laugh.
"Yeah, I've been out here for the past few hours just setting up
logs and sticks for obstacles. Now I'm just waiting for people
to show up. You want in?"

"I thought so." Ryder said, "knew I remembered you, heh."
He looked around seeing the obstacles were set up impressively.
"Only thing missing is a building and the fun can really get
started. Sure, I've always wanted to do something like this!"

"Good to have you on board then. We'll pick teams when everyone
is here, but you can go ahead and start putting on the padding
if you want." He motioned his head towards the stack of padding;
he already had some under his clothing.

He looked over to the padding where there was plenty of a choice
for color.
"Hmm, I'll be on top of a tree, when I see lets say...two more
people come I'll go ahead and put on some padding." Ryder
exclaimed,
"However, I really never got your name at the hospital; mind if
I ask what is it?"

"Name's Ajax. Short for Jaximet, but hey; what can you do? What
about you?" He pulled out a pocket watch and checked the time.
Soon, he put it back in his pocket and began whistling.

"Heh, weird, I thought you heard my name at the hospital.
Anyways, my name is Ryder Lecar;" He said proudly.
He got slightly bored and jumped up to climb a tree to about
half of its height.
"I'll be relaxing up here, good luck waiting!" Ryder said with a
little fun added to his tone.

Sapphire tried skidding to stop next to Ajax, but since she was
so excited about playing paintball and was going too fast, she
didn't stop in time.
"Woah!"
She laughed nervously after toppling over Ajax, landing on her
belly on the soft grass.
"Sorry Ajax.. But oh my chaos! We get to play paintball!" She
squealed excitedly, literally rolling around on the ground.
She then pushed herself up and crawled over to Ajax, and then
pushed on his shoulders, pinning him to the ground.
"This is going to be so FUN!, aren't you excited!? It's like
real life Halo!" She said happily, before letting him go, and
rolling onto her back.
She then put her hands together to form a hand gun, and aimed up
at the clouds, "pew pew pew" she muttered, pretending to shoot
the sky and clouds.

Meanwhile as Sapphire and Ajax were talking, Blaze hung upside
from a tree with his hand in a makeshift handgun before making a
sound similar to a gunshot as a small spark of lightning touch
Sapphire's fur causing it to stick up for a bit. " Hehehe! With
all that noise something fun must be going on." Blaze said with
a smirk on his face.
