An unexpected reunion. [Sonya & Umi]
By: EternalPeace Date: October 20, 2019, 11:03 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
It had been a few weeks since catastrophe had struck Mobius and
even though the Fighters of Freedom had once again triumphed
over the evil over lander and the royal family albeit in
critical condition all de-robotercised and making slow but
promising recoveries. Things should have felt like they were
taking a turn for the better and yet Sonya Heart still felt
hollow. She simply didn’t understand why at a time where
she should have been feeling relieved that she felt empty.
Although the fact that she still hadn’t fully progressed
their victory was probably contributing to her downcast mood.
They’d won and yet she couldn’t bring herself to
acknowledge that. After all what good was a victory when so many
innocents were still trying to recover from their own personal
trauma from it all. Not to mention THOUSANDS of innocent mobians
had lost their lives and those left behind were still grieving
that. In many ways these days it still felt Robotnik had won
after all. With Sonic still ..gone and Sally too distraught over
holding herself accountable for everything that happened there
was no public face of comfort to give anyone hope anymore. As
much as tried she knew that people would only heed her comforts
so much. There was still so much so much suffering and there was
nothing she could do about it.
Her large fluffy ears pinning backwards halfway on her head as
she wandered along aimlessly her gaze half lidded and heavy from
another chaotic day at the hospital without her father on hand
in all truth ever since the conditions of the Acorns
hadn’t shown any signs of decreasing from critical hardly
anyone saw him now. Which she knew was hurting her adoptive
family deeply, not that Elizabeth spoke to her on the topic as
such, but one look in her eyes and she knew. Hubert,Duane, and
Louise seemed to be constantly on edge constantly hopeful for so
much as a millisecond of their fathers attention and as of late
he’d proved to be a consistent disappointment.

Somehow finding her way to an oddly familiar corner café Sonya
moved on autopilot pushing her way into the establishment for
shelter against the sudden onslaught of rain. Ignoring the
sounds of civilians curious whispers upon her arrival, she
sidled into the refreshments line just craving time to gather
       her thoughts together.
