Shadow didn't have an interest in participating, getting soaked
in water wasn't his forte and he prefer to stay dry and warm
throughout the day. "Wha-!" He didn't have a choice in the
matter due to Sonya volunteering for the hedgehog against his
wheel by pulling his arm to come forward. He gave the sly fennec
fox a silent glare as if to say "You'll pay for this" but he is
doing this for charity so something good will come out of his
       humiliating expense.
Shadow stood on the plank as the guy instructed and folded his
arms, waiting for Sonya to make her move.

Ignoring the glare that he zapped her way Sonya selected the
first ball out of her bunch giving it a nifty little toss in the
air before she closed her hand back around it. She could
practically feel the anticipation coming from everyone watching
her. And had she been in less of a grief engulfed state of mind
she would have been much more self-conscious. However this
wasn’t the case so this was going to go differently.
Taking a moment to steady her throwing arm she quietly inhaled
and then launched her first ball when she exhaled purposely not
putting much force behind this warm up toss she watched as the
ball sailed through the air hitting the target almost gently and
not budging Shadow an inch. “Aw that’s strike one
little lady you can do it!” The stall clerk encouraged
giving his frail looking customer a sympathetic look.
Giving the stall owner a ‘timid’ smile in return
Sonya picked up her second ball and mock swung her arm back and
forth readying herself to ball number two. Making sure that
Shadow could see her mock throwing but not actually throwing a
number of times before she let the second one fly with slightly
more force behind it, it thudded against the target hard enough
for the plank to lower down drastically towards the freezing
water. “Atta girl! just one more try!” Rubbing the
back of her head with her free hand in a modest looking fashion
Sonya giggled. “Ok but please don’t be to
disappointed in me if I don’t manage it.” Picking up
her third and final ball Sonya stopped holding back and using a
logic, mathematical precision alongside average but sturdy
strength she attempted to launch her last ball extremely hard at
the intended target and if the final ball that zipped through
the air hit centre then a certain grumpy hedgehog would soon be
       taking an impromptu swim.

Shadow stood on the platform unamused by Sonya's show boating
antics , the anticipation to sink or swim is through the roof as
the black hedgehog tried to remain stiff as a rock even if the
walls around his poker face are beginning to crack. Sonya hit
the target on the first throw but Shadow didn't move an inch,
its tempting to belittle her lack of strength but she has
control of the situation and not him, best to keep his mouth
shot. he could hear the owner giving her some encouragement and
he believed the man was a fool to give her hope.
The second hit on the target bared different results, throwing
the ultimate lifeform off guard, Shadow's stern eyes widen with
shock as he felt the plank fell toward the water and stopped
above the cold liquid, he held on for dear life as he looked at
the fennec preparing to throw one more time. Was Sonya really
lucky or has she always been so strong? "Aaaa!" He didn't have a
chance to ponder as Shadow's world became drenched in water, the
ultimate lifeform struggled in the water, revealing his lack of
ability to swim, he would kick and trash about in the water,
eventually managed to find a ledge to hang on and pulled himself
       out of it.
Now cold and dripping water everywhere as he goes, the black
hedgehog went to find a towel and dried himself off, he wanted
to get out of here as soon as possible, however he wanted to pay
his debt to charity before he went. "Hmph.." dropping rings in
a donation box then walked out of the area and back to the
center of the carnival. He walked forward quietly and saw a
haunted up ahead on the left section of the area, knowing these
places scare people out of the area, Shadow's mouth formed an
uncharacteristic mischievous smile and went inside the spooky
entrance, planning to get revenge on the doctor.

Albeit fleeting when the fennec saw the black hedgehogs crimson
irises flash with surprise and momentary fear for what was to
come she felt a twinge of satisfaction. But that smugness soon
evaporated when she heard his startled cry. If not for how
quickly he managed to find himself a ledge to haul himself out
she would have plunged into the dunk tank herself to retrieve
him. Ignoring the mildly concerned murmurs around her she
trilled a polite. “Have a good evening." To the stall owner
before she tried to hurry out of the area back towards the main
part of the carnival after the vexed hedgehog. Damnit he was
stood around drying himself only a second ago and now he was
       gone? This was just great.
Pausing to huffily tap her boot back and forth on the ground the
fennec promptly darted her gaze around trying to figure out
where her less than enthusiastic carnival buddy had gone. And
then her irises settled on the entrance to the haunted house
ahead and perhaps it was just her instincts but somehow she knew
that Shadow was probably inside. Visibly hesitant the fennec
made sure to get in her inhales and exhales, before making her
way inside the entrance her tone timid. “Er.. Shadow are you in
       here?”

The interior of the castle is what would any visit expect from
its namesake, its rather dark but not so dark people wont be
able to find their way out. On the walls there are images of
spooky ghosts, black widow spiders hanging on the corners of the
wall sitting on fake cobwebs, jack-O-lanterns plastered
everywhere and lastly a fairly large humanoid skeleton is
       hanging above the ceiling.
Participants navigated themselves through the doors and Shadow
is nowhere to be found, at least not visibly to the naked eye,
the black hedgehog is hiding in darkness, resembling more of his
namesake, awaiting for Sonya to walk in the entrance. The black
hedgehog used his super speed to zoom in front of the fennec
then proceeded to say "Boo!" attempting to startle her.

Thanks to the use of her natural instincts Sonya knew that
something was going to happen. But it was more a question what
and when? Well she didn’t have to wait long because all
too soon a black and crimson blur darted from the darkness
effectively startlingly her. “Eeeeeek!” Lashing out
without thinking the tiny fox medic attempted to swing on the
‘monster.’ and if her blow made contact this 'thing'
would be in for quite a nose fracture.

It was a glorious feeling to witness his carnival buddy being
terrified of the unknown, an easy tactic to frighten someone is
to jump scare them, one of the oldest tricks in the book Shadow
sensed her retaliation to punch him and his faster reflexes
wouldn't allow her the satisfaction. He ducked backwards and his
mouth sprouted another smirk of mischief. "I got you good, you
should've seen the look on your face Doctor" he didn't hesitate
to gloat over his small victory, that'll teach her to dump the
       ultimate lifeform in water!
The black hedgehog for the first time didn't want to leave the
haunted house so soon, instead he wanted to explore the hall of
mirrors and that's where he went. Dragging his footwear to the
next room, he walked past a row of mirrors giving Shadow
otherworldly proportions, half expecting Sonya to be right
       behind him.

Blue irises narrowing minutes after Shadow effortlessly ducked
out of swinging range she felt her dislike for the hedgehog
deepen that little bit extra given his arrogant amounts of
gloating. But weighing it up she had publicly drowned him albeit
for charity he’d been caught equally off guard so she
supposed they were even now. “Yeah.. you sure got
me.” Not bothering to feign her usual amount of sugary
sweet politeness her response came out dry and
uncharacteristically near passive aggressive. Much as she wanted
to turn tail and get the hell out of the haunted establishment
she also didn’t want to give Shadow the satisfaction of
seeing how uncomfortable she was more than he had already.
Forcing herself to pull it together for time being when her
carnival partner began to venture off she followed close
cautiously eyeing up her distorted reflection in the carnival
mirrors as they wandered past. “This place is
       weird…”

Shadow stopped to look at himself in a mirror, his reflection
appears to be wobbly with a bloated torso, his face retained
their mask of indifference. The next row of mirrors depict the
black hedgehog with a skinnier body, some are tall to
exaggerated degrees, others are smaller than his already
small-stature. "Its all parlor tricks, a pathetic attempt to
scare people" snorted, its hard to tell if he is annoyed these
mirrors made him look fat or he knew none of this stuff will
       frighten anyone.
"!" A ghost pumpkin popped in front of Shadow out of nowhere,
briefly startling him before the entity disappears in laughter,
a soft growl of annoyance rattled his windpipe and returning to
his poker face, hoping the doctor didn't see his shred of
weakness. He opened the door to the next room and nothing of
worth is happening at first, Walls of fake blood dripping down
the walls and a fake zombie pops out of an opened coffin nearby,
the black hedgehog stopped walking and watched the red liquid
poured down to the floor for a moment and once again was briefly
startled by the zombie jump scare. "!....!"
He regained his composure feeling irritated the universe wants
to humiliate him, having enough he stormed over to the next door
which took them back to the main hall, the end is the exit door.
Shadow walked out the door and stood outside waiting patiently
for Sonya with her arms crossed.

Taking a moment to peer at herself in the mirror beside his own
Sonya cringed at the sight of her reflection, which seemed to
now be stretched insanely narrow but she was also increased in
height. She was Robotnik length and that alone was enough to
make her feel uncomfortable. Having sneaked a peak at Shadows
mirror from her peripheral vision she politely muffled a giggle
at his expense before moving onto the next row of mirrors. In
these next set of mirrors instead of looking extremely narrow
she was the opposite. Her figure looked like Santas attire could
fit snugly around it and worse her delicate features looked
twisted upside down at various awkward angles. She didn’t
know which was worse. “I know it’s all parlour
tricks. But that doesn’t make this any less
       strange.” She responded primly.
Rolling her eyes in annoyance, she was about to add on something
else snippy until a ghost pumpkin came out of nowhere which
caused her to place a hand to her chest as a means of soothing
her rapidly thudding heart but it wasn’t quite enough to
startle them outwardly well one of them that was. Shadow was
probably hoping she hadn’t been privy to his little
scaredy-cat moment unfortunately for him she had. His quiet
growls only confirming what she’d witnessed a smug smirk
spread across her muzzle as she followed the hedgehog through to
the next room her towering fluffy ears giving the occasional
flicker all the while. To begin with the room looked standard
enough, the fake blood oozing down the walls was disappointing
in quality to say the least and then the fake zombie followed
straight out of the coffin. It was quite predictable really.
Shadow jumped so violently Sonya thought he hit the haunted
house ceiling. Chuckling under her breath as she watched him
scramble to regain his composure she wandered after him through
the next door which lead to the main hall and the exit. Her
smugness practically radiating at this stage she stopped beside
the hedgehog before speaking. “Your’re right Shadow.
None of those pathetic parlour tricks scared me in the
slightest. Although considering the lacklustre effects the
haunted house had it sure did frighten you didn’t
it?” Knowing that she probably wouldn’t get an
actual answer out of the stubbornly prideful hedgehog her
question ended up being more of a rhetorical one as she scanned
the theme park in search of their next activity. “Roll up
roll up ladies and gents come take a whirl on our spectacular
Ferris wheel just two seats left!” As this announcement
drifted to her ears she did hesitate. After all she didn’t
particularity want be stuck in close quarters with Shadow the
hedgehog of all people for too long, but she did want to ride
       the Ferris wheel.
It was something she and Sonic used to routinely do without fail
before he..before the incident happened. And this was hardly
going to be the same thing but if it meant that she could feel
closer to her departed best friend even for only a short amount
of time then she was willing to deal with Mr Killjoy for a
little longer. “Welp you heard the man there’s two
seats left on that Ferris wheel so lets go!” Not really
giving him much choice in the matter she made strides towards
the ride with the mentality that even if he decided not to board
with her she’d still go on it by herself. At any rate
she’d be able to tell Amy that she made all the effort
with this jerk that she could have tonight.
As she neared closer to the ride she quickly paid for her Ferris
wheel ticket and then took her seat. Leaving Shadow more or less
       to his own devices.
