Tetra looked odldy at the book, realizing that the book was...
alive? An odd thought to comprehend... but nevertheless, he
looks back ahead of him and sees the restaurant ahead. "Burgers
and seafood? Sure, I could totally go for some of that!" He
springs ahead with some joy, ready to place a seat for the two
of them.

Reck takes a place at the table that Tertra chose. Picking up a
menu he looks for something good to eat. "So Tetra, tell me a
little about yourself." The porcupine asks barely looking up
from the menu. The porcupine's mind became fixated on a seafood
mix plate containing 3 different types of fish and a couple
lobster tails with some shrimp on the side. The porcupine did
still find himself embarrassed about the events that unfolded in
the ocean. He was really excited for the swim, or at least he
thought he was.
The porcupine flipped the page of the menu. Forcing the plate he
was probably going to order from his sights. He lowered the menu
completely to face his new wolf friend.

Tetra was delighted to get some food into his system a little
after lunch time, say 3:00 pm. He decided to get a plate of
shrimp. And since his shift was over the day... Maybe a
margharita.
Tell about himself... "Well, when I was younger, I out to fend
for myself... Until I found Frizz... My personal best friend. He
usually works on boats, cars, jeeps, basically any kind of
vehicle you can imagine."

As their food arrived Reck smiled. He was ready to chow. "So
you're a handy man and a life gaurd. I'll keep you in mind next
time I get a truck. " Reck's last truck was abandoned on an
exhibition to find a staff. It went very ary. He started to eat
some of his plate. "I work on computers and robots myself." The
porcupine would have ordered a drink along with his new friend,
but his last experience wasnt great.
Reck continued about himself. I own a shop in Mobotropolis.
"Reck's Computers and Robotics."" He continued to eat, only
stopping long enough to talk. "You said you had to fend for
yourself from a young age. What happened to your parents? If you
don't mind my asking of course." The porcupine knew what it was
like to grow up without them.

"Well, that's a bit of a loaded question... They didn't hate
me... But they..." He paused to CAREFULLY phrase this answer.
"...They sent me out on my own as they thought "I would be
better that way"... I didn't understand what they meant, but I
remember their worried faces as they quickly pushed me out of
the house... I was too nervous to stick around. So I just ran as
fast as my four feet would take me as a kid..."

Reck sat up straight in his chair as Tetra explained his
situation. "That's odd. I wonder what kind of trouble they were
in. I grew up with out parents as well. I was taken in by some
kind mages. After my parents... died." Reck wouldn't tell how
they died. It was his fault and he knew it. A fire caused by his
first time using magic. The porcupine coughed and continued to
eat. He had made himself uncomfortable at the table.
His mind shifted to the day his world burned around him. Reck
was barely eight. Him and his parents lived in a small forest on
the edge of the volcanos at Marble Hill. Once a place settled by
his entire porcupine clan. That day he had went to play deep in
the forest. He found an uprooted tree with a box tangled in the
roots. The story from there went down hill. Inside the box he
found a book. The spellbook he carries strapped to his side.
When he opened the book his magical powers were brought into the
light. A blaze erupted from his entire body. Setting the forest
around him a flame.
The porcupine shook his head as he tried to refocus on his new
friend. A look of sorrow in his eyes. "Forgive me.. I got lost
there for a second. How about another topic. Any suggestions?"
The porcupine sighed out. His guilt still strong all these years
later.

Tetra felt sorry after hearing his story, but understood that he
wanted to change the subject. Sure, maybe something like... What
was your first adventure like?" He took a shot in the dark on
another subject to hope for something better.

The porcupine laughed. "Oh, you want to know about the first
time I got my teeth kicked in." Reck nodded. "Well, it was a
trip the school I went to sent me on." The porcupine's eyes
twinkled. "I was sent to investigate some weird magical
disturbances in a small village outside the mystic caves." The
porcupine paused to take a drink. "This is the first time I went
out alone. I found myself in an entire village of mages. I'm
talking crazy cult stuff. This town was so enticed by their
leader they would do anything he said. Well that's what I was
informed at the time." The porcupine took another drink of his
water.
"So when I first arrived in the town. Everything seemed normal.
People were friendly no one seemed out of place, almost too
normal. You know?" Reck's book let out a small beep, and he
patted it's side. "I'm getting there." He told the book. "Well
one of the villagers. They noticed my book. Asked me about her.
I told them she was just a family relic. I went back to my hotel
room." Reck chuckled. "That's when things went crazy. I woke up
to my book freaking out. Not five seconds later a bunch of
people burst through the doors. They were after her. I held off
a few of them before I grabbed her and lept out the window. When
I landed the whole town was waiting." The book beeped a little
louder, but trying not to bring attention to herself. Reck gave
it another slight pat.
"There I was in a town of 150 people, everyone of them after
me." Reck sighed and chuckled. "This is the part where I would
like to say I came out on top and fought them all off. That
didn't happen. I was taking spells from almost every direction.
I was fighting as hard as I could just to make it out of town 30
minutes of fighting then BOOM!" Reck slammed his hand on the
table to add effect. "They overwhelmed me. Tied me up and took
me before the man running the show. A crazy old goat who was a
former member of the elder mages. I didn't stand a chance." Reck
smiled. "This is my favorite part of the story. I thought I was
done for, like I'm saying my final goodbyes in my head. Turns
out it was all a test from the school. The town everything made
up by the council to see how I handled myself. The goat the
villagers all in on it but me. The goat handed me my book. He's
laughing I'm covered in bruises head to toe glass sticking out
of me from the window. They said I lasted longer than anyone
else sent there. The cult the mission all a test just to see if
I had the stones to fight til I couldn't." Reck smiled a huge
grin. "The elder mages come out from behind this alter. They
were watching the whole time. I was so mad, but they were
impressed. 30 minutes is a long time to hold off a bunch of
mages. Most people only lasted about ten. According to them no
one else jumped out the window. " Reck laughed. "It's hilarious
now. This test landed me in Mobotropolis." He looked to tetra.
"You go on any adventures?"

Tetra listened with interest and smiled at the part hearing that
it was all a test... "Heh, that's awesome Reck. ...As for my
adventures... I haven't had any yet..." He pauses to take a bite
of shrimp, enjoying the sauce that came with it. "Except if you
count the time I almost lost my eye... Maybe you'd like to hear
about that?"

Reck chuckles. "You almost lost an eye? Now that's a story I
have to hear." While they were talking the porcupine decided to
order himself some dessert. He was presented with a huge slice
of cheesecake topped with strawberries and blueberries. A bit of
drool ran down the porcupine's chin. He wiped it away and began
eating. The flavor was immaculate. Reck's eyes glistened after
the first bite.
