On a sunny summer day in the Crystal Cove zone, Tetra was on
duty at the tower station, just watching the shore calmly and
faithfully for any action that needed his attention.

The porcupine exhausted and feeling over worked from his latest
expidition to find magical artifacts. This time it was a book,
another one to add to his personal library. Reck decided he
needed a break. He found himself close to Crystal Cove the best
place to swim in all of Mobius. "I need a break. Maybe a day at
the beach would do me some good."
Reck made his way to the beach, buying some swim trunks at a
merchant not far from the water front. He found them overpriced,
but didn't really have any other choice. The trunks were blue
with a flower print. They reminded him of something he'd seen
before, but he couldn't really place them. He also rented a
locker he could store his backpack and his spell book inside.
The book beeped in disgust. "I know you don't like it, but I
won't be too long." Reck said calmly. He locked the locker. He
got one with a key instead of a combination. Reck was never good
at remembering those.
Reck walked into the ocean, the water cold against his legs. He
couldn't remember the last time he actually swam. His jobs
didn't give him too much free time. He looked around the beach
was oddly empty for a summers day. Making hid way farther into
the ocean the porcupine froze up, very literally. His legs would
not move. He had been more nervous than he thought. His powers
froze him in place. Ice latching the ground beneath his feet.

Tetra smiles as he looks on at the ocean, seeing the porcupine
enter the water. He watches for any fins in the water and keeps
a vigllant eye...
However, he ponders in curiosity as he sees the porcupine freeze
up. What was the matter? There weren't any sharks THAT close up
to the beach... Did he have cold feet or something? Out of
curiosity, he hops off his seat and slides down the ladder and
walks toward the ocean. "Hey there, you feelin' okay??"

Reck was slightly startled by the wolf. He was so focused on his
situation he hadn't realized he approached. Reck chuckled
nervously. "Y-yeah... I'm fine. J-just.... Cold feet." The
porcupine couldn't believe that his body wouldn't move or he had
brought attention to himself. " I-It's been a long while
since... Since I have been swimming. My body doesn't seem to
think I can..." Swear started to bead from the porcupine's brow
as he nervously scratched the back of his head.
The porcupine noticed the whistle on the neck of the wolf. Reck
figured he must be a life guard. "O-once I thaw out. I-I will be
o-ok... " The porcupine looked down at his feet which still
wouldn't move from the ocean floor. "This is quite
embarassing.." The porcupine thought to himself. He's
encountered all kinds of magical foes, and multiple times about
lost his life. Water was the thing that froze him up. The
porcupine couldn't help but shake his head in self disgust.

Tetra cocked his head slightly, "Thaw out? What do you mean-" He
felt a cold feeling emanating from the porcupine's legs.
"...Wait, you LITTERALLY have cold feet? What are you? A wizard
or something?" He reached sown to try and feel for the ice he
suspected were on his legs... "Maybe I can help you out a
bit..." Sure enough he felt the thin layer of ice on his legs,
connected to the sandy floor.

Reck found himself more embarrassed than he was before. The
wolf's question made him recoil a bit. "S-something along those
lines, y-yes." The ice on the porcupine's legs grew thicker as
he got more nervous. "I-I shouldn't have come swimming.... This
was a bad idea. I-I'm glad my friends aren't here to see this."
The porcupine let out another nervous chuckle. He was cold from
the ice now. His lips a pale blue. He ignited his hands in order
to warm up, hoping others weren't watching. Even though he was
sure he was a specticle.
The porcupine muttered. "The name is Reck. I'm sorry to be such
a bother." The porcupine rubbed his hands together and took a
deep breath. "I just need to relax..." He took another deep
breath and the ice around his legs started to thin and chip
away. "What is your name?" Reck tried to start conversation to
distract himself.

Tetra starts to realize that the ice was partially because he
was getting nervous, so he gets up and backs away a bit,
realizing that any passerby could look over and think of this
situation as... interesting... He also nearly 'stumbles' back at
seeing his hands ignite, but rapidly regains his composure...
"Y-You don't need to be worried, i'm just trying to be helpful.
You were just stuck and I was adamant on helping..." He eyes the
water and replies to to his question, "Tetra, i'm Tetra the
wolf."

The porcupine notices the wolf's reaction to the fire from his
hands. So he powers them down. "Well, Tetra, I thank you for the
assitance. I'm glad you are. I could be stuck here a good
while." The porcupine shakes his head. The situation still on
his every nerve. "Again, I am sorry to be a bother. This must
look rediculous. A grown porcupine halted to a complete stop by
water. " He keeps rubbing his hands together as the ice still
slowly chips away.
The porcupine finally breaks his legs free of the ice. He
decides it best he just returns to the beach. "I'd like to thank
you for your assistance. How about some lunch, my treat?" The
porcupine slowly walks out of the water. "I just have to grab
some things from the lockers."

Tetra smiles as he walks with him from the ocean, "That sounds
nice, you got a restaurant in mind? I could certainly use a bite
to eat. In fact, I think my shift is about over..." He checks
the clock by his station and makes sure. Sure enough, the time
had come for him to switch shifts with James. He flags the
Pelican as he sees him flying overhead to let him know that his
own turn was over.

Reck shakes his head as he pulls his spellbook and backpack from
the locker. His spell book coos softly happy he has returned. He
then returns the key to the rental drop box. "I'm actually not
from around here, but I'm sure there's something good to eat
along the coastline." The porcupine lead the way as they walked
looking for a restaurant. His backpack heavy from the book
inside.
A little ways down the coastline they find a place that looks
suitable to Reck. A small hole in the wall buisness with not
much of a line. The sign reads Burgers and Seafood. No name on
it. "Little dives like this are normally good. What do you
think?" The porcupine hoped the wolf agreed, but if not there
were other places to eat.
