Both pairs of eyes wide and suddenly gleaming with hope the
Echidna and Fennec were tugged off deeper into the mountains as
if the youngsters feared that the heroes would change their
minds if given any more time to think their agreement over.
Eventually the duo and their guides arrived outside their
intended location. As far as secret village groups in the
mountain went the entrance to their cave looked pretty ordinary
to the fennec. Conscious of both childrens increased anxiety the
closer they all neared to the opening Sonya found herself giving
Rosie a silent instructive nod more or less telling her to
follow her lead. "Hey.. it’s going to fine.” Easily
scooping the rabbit girl into her arms, she shifted her onto her
hip keeping her tone of voice light and purposely worry free.
       “Lets go find your mummy.”
Marching ahead without another word Sonya kept an air of aloof
composure about her. Her time as a Freedom Fighter had taught
her how to effectively deal with the unpredictable but walking
into a situation blind regardless of the amount of experience
she had behind her was still daunting. Emerging into airily
spacious surroundings after a few moments of being shrouded in
complete darkness Sonya found herself breathing out an inaudible
sigh of relief from the sudden change in atmosphere. Though as
expected the welcome they received was less than warm. "Halt
trespassers from the outside! What do you think your’re
doing forcefully handling those children?!” At first
glance round Sonya wasn’t quite sure what she was looking
at the masks that these locals wore looked strange.. and badly
handcrafted. ‘Probably best not to tell them that
       though.’
Eye brow raising at the sight of blunt spears being pointed in
their general direction she gently but cautiously lowered the
bunny back to feet before she raised both her hands up in what
she hoped looked like a none threatening manner, her natural
social charms flicking on like a switch. “We weren’t
forcefully handling any children they led here of their own
accord, and they did the right thing doing so but that’s
just my personal opinion. It’s nice to meet you all for
the sake of not dragging this out any longer than necessary
I’m going to keep the introductions brief and cut to the
chase. I’m Sonya she’s Rosie [gestures to the
echidna behind her.] and we are here looking for the lady- I
       mean goddess in charge..”

It had been so long since Rosie had ventured inside a cave, let
alone within the boundary of a cave-dwelling civilization, so
the echidna wasn't sure what to expect. Her guard was raised as
the group came closer to the cave entrance, especially since
there were kids in her and Sonya's care. Speaking of which,
Rosie could already feel the fear growing within their auras.
Even before she turned to look down at their frightened faces,
she already knew that they weren't taking the situation very
well. The concerned warrior looks back up at her partner upon
reaching the cave opening, just in time to get her inaudible cue
to tend to the children. Her attention promptly shifts back to
the fox as she gently taps on his right shoulder, allowing a
slight smile to slip back onto her muzzle to help ease his
troubled mood. The warrior squats down to his height again,
this time with her back facing him.
"Up you go," Rosie chipperly signals, giving the little boy
passage on her back, rather than just carrying him in her arms.
Rosie found this method a bit nostalgic for holding small
children, as it reminded her of the times she used to traverse
through the skies on the back of a dragon. Though the warrior
was a more grounded Mobian, letting the child ride on her back
might lighten his mood a little bit. Plus, Rosie was plenty
       strong enough to hold him.
After letting the fox climb onto her shoulders and rest both of
his legs over her chest, Rosie carefully hoists him up and,
after making sure he was safely snug on top of her, continues
with Sonya into the cave. ...Only to have a bunch a spears
directed at her once they got deeper inside. The masked natives
in their sights definitely rose an alarm for the echidna,
perhaps as much as the quarter did for them.
"I bet there are bunch of kidnappers from beyond the mountain
range!" Another of the tribe angrily speaks, backing up its
       comrade.
"Release them at once!" Another native says, holding his spear
       closer to Rosie's face.
As a HED Mobian with super durable skin, the sharp tribal weapon
didn't pose much of a threat to her. Then again, Rosie and
Sonya had delicate, living cargo with them. Before doing
anything, Rosie follows Sonya's lead and squats back down to let
the fox climb off of her before rising back up to assist with
       quelling the situation.
"Yes, we mean no disrespect. Do any of you know where we can
find Jinxsu, by any chance? We all have urgent business with
       her."

Her charming smile beginning to waver at the edges the more the
locals hostility increased. She let her expression shift into
something way more serious. This combat medic clearly
wasn’t in the mood to mess around. Still she remained very
calm despite the circumstances though her words carried a more
direct note of authority second time round. “We’re
not going to ask again. If no one feels like being helpful and
offering up information then will be more than capable of taking
a look round ourselves..” Trailing off the fennec watched
as the native made the bold move of angling his old fashioned
weapon closer to her comrades face having already seen the
Echidna briefly in action Sonya knew that she’d only seen
the tip of the ice berg as far as what ninja was capable of was
concerned. She knew she was more than capable of handling her
own but that didn’t stop her from making a prompt example
out of this ignorant individual all the same. Nothing to flashy
but within seconds she’d swung a leg up high the steel
edge of her navy and grey boot slamming underneath his wonky
positioned weapon which caused him to yelp, release it, and
shoot her a glare through his mask eye holes all in that order.
The spear whirling mid air for the minutes that followed Sonya
extended a hand out accordingly her gloved palm wrapping around
the none sharp end when it landed. “As she said we
don’t want to disrespect anybody and don’t plan on
doing so but we ask in return that you all extend the same
courtesy. Respect can only work if it’s given two ways
after all.” The silence stretching out before them both
Sonya began to think that taking the pacifist approach
hadn’t been a wise move. But then after a few uncertain
quiet glances were exchanged between a few someone spoke up.
..We will take you to see her. However do not feel shunned
should she not grace you with her presence. Visitors are not
something she entertains often.” A small formation
settling into place around them Sonya made a mental note that
for all their simplistic weaponry their escorts had made short
work of blocking off any short term escape routes, well any
short term escape that wouldn’t involve a physical
       altercation.
Falling into step beside the Echidna she kept her eyes locked
ahead, her quiet warning intended for Rosies ears alone.
“For what these people lack in modern invention
they’re not as primitive as they appear. Keep your guard
up.” Her voice raising once more Sonya made herself sound
much more 'naturally' at ease. “The assistance is much
       appreciated really!”

Though she wasn't really that alarmed with the spear pointed at
her, now that the fox child was further away from it, Rosie
still appreciated her partner taking it upon herself to kick the
weapon away from her and was even more impressed when she caught
it afterward. For a medic, Sonya really showed plenty of
potential of a close-range fighter. Honestly, if they weren't
on a rescue mission right now, Rosie would be quick to ask for a
match with that kind of display!
'Note to self: Ask for a spar, later...' Rosie silently jokes to
herself, hiding a sliver of a proud smile upon witnessing the
       fox's assertive side.
Of course, that would have to wait as the two were now about to
be escorted to the tyrant in charge. The belly of the beast was
just within their reach. Hearing Sonya's subtle warning, Rosie
confirms with a slight nod without peeling her attention away
from the natives. After what just happen, it was wise not to
lose focus on them as they were all potential enemies at this
       point.
"We'll take our chances. Lead the way," Rosie adds on, her
serious tone and expression returning without delay.

Before long the duo were escorted soundlessly into another cave
but unlike the others this one was larger grander even. From the
moment they set foot inside the gloomy atmosphere Sonya
subconsciously found herself launching into overdrive. More
often than not when her instincts were trying to tell her
something she wasn’t wrong. The colour draining from her
face as the minutes ticked by she tried to control her steadily
rapid breathing but breathing exercises weren’t going to
do much with her vitakinesis in automatic activation. She
didn’t who yet but someone was in critical condition.
Because she hadn’t set eyes on the victim yet the rest of
the details were still fuzzy it felt like all the information
she needed to help the person was on the edge of her
consciousness but she couldn’t quite access it.
Her gaze once again darting around to their less than cordial
company she felt her agitation escalate. Something wasn’t
right here and they were getting to the bottom of it.
‘They’re trying to stall us..’ Her expression
toughening, without warning to anyone around them the medic
suddenly broke into a sprint knowing that the Echidna would have
the initiative to trust and follow her lead. “Rosie lets
go!” Barging straight through the two villagers blocking
their front path with an alarming amount of ferociousness. She
ignored the shouts from the remainder of the group that followed
focusing only on the feeling of ever prominent dread that
       threatened to near suffocate her.
Unfortunately for the fennec her worst fears were soon
confirmed. Upon entering into the area her blue eyes widened
with horror at what she saw. An older female rabbit was strapped
to a table in the middle of the room her body littered
shamelessly with deep gorges and cuts from the second she locked
eyes on this traumatised woman it all came flooding to Sonya. In
vivid detail how she’d come to obtain every single slash
and stab embedded into her skin. Every single bone that’d
been broken and how.. she knew it all. Vile threatening to rise
in the back of throat, Sonya covered her mouth with her arm, her
cool gaze settling on the one responsible. "Normally.. I’d
have some speech instore about how someone like you at least has
the option to come quietly but given the horrific circumstances
your’re not getting that.” Her legs quivering
slightly, Sonya forced herself to straighten up and discreetly
       regain her composure.

This was typical. She’d finally found a system that worked for
her and now ‘heros’ had arrived to try and ruin that. Sure these
sacrifices were only a short term solution given the locals here
were in short supply but they were doing a treat for now. And by
having a steady stream of offerings on demand that meant that
the powers at be weren’t pissed off with her for delivering
slow. This was the most relaxed she’d felt in a long while but
as the expression was known all good things had to come to an
end. She’d known that something like this would of happened
eventually it was unpreventable but regardless still
       disappointing.
So when she were given the warning from her servants that a
Freedom Fighter and presumably a newbie resistance recruit were
on their way for an impromptu visit she wasn’t even angry just
amused. She heard them before she saw them, well she saw the
fennec first after the sounds of protest in the near distance
she’d sighed, and shifted herself into a sitting position on her
throne, one leg crossing daintily over the other while she
waited and then in the combat medic came losing all valiant
attitude when faced with a minor amount of blood. And then an
idle threat followed which caused the thin smile across her lips
to slowly widen. “Someone like me?.. and here I thought heros
were supposed to have respect and manners especially in the
presence of someone far greater than them.”

The fox wasn't the only to notice someone was in peril. Rosie
could feel the waning aura of another person, further into the
cave, giving her the cue, as well, that whoever was further into
the cave was in great agony. That being said, when the fox made
a sudden dash away from the natives, Rosie had no argument when
she followed her signal and sprinted after her, practically
bowling right through one of the natives in front. Thankfully,
her display of ninja agility had not failed to kick in, like
before, so she had no problem keeping up with her partner's
pace, let alone increase the distance between her and the angry
mob behind them. As the duo came further in the big cave, Rosie
feel that weak aura she sensed earlier getting closer and
closer. Now she was getting worried.
The kunoichi would soon realize her concern was for good reason
as she and Sonya shared the same gruesome sight. Her eyes
widened in shock having seen the older rabbit on the table with
all of those assorted lacerations on her body. Rosie never
expected a voodoo sacrificed to be this disturbing. Rosie was
utterly disgusted by this...but that sickened expression would
soon shift into anger upon finding the culprit directly in front
of them. What made it worse was that the snobbish feline didn't
even show any signs of remorse for what she had done. It was if
the cat didn't even care, on top of being amused by the whole
       thing.
"Greater...?!" Rosie's growls as her fangs gritted in anger,
obviously not liking the response the feline gave them at all.
"I'd say anyone low enough to hurt an innocent person this badly
is among the scum of Mobius! Just who do you think you are,
       anyway?!"

“It appears that not much calibre is needed to become a hero in
the modern day. Such a pity.” Her dark mismatched purple and
crimson coloured irises lingering on Rosie as she delivered the
cut throat insult. She slowly rose from her seating place,
seeming almost bored with what was proposed ahead of her as she
made her way towards the pair but still kept herself at a
distance where she was at advantage to manoeuvre herself if need
be. [i]“I wouldn’t expect either of you to understand that
what’s going on here is for the greater good. I did not force
any of my people to do right by their gods and goddess they
choose willingly to offer themselves to me and yet that makes me
the misfortune? Please..” Her please sounding more spiteful
than sincere Jinx found herself circling the pair but she was
less cautious and more curious with her goals. [i]"Who do I
think I am?.. it’s already been made clear. I’m on level that
you can’t even begin to comprehend you thick headed pink
numbskull. But I’ll forgive your insolence just the once I can
imagine that meeting me is all sorts of overwhelming.”

Her sky blue hues narrowing into wrathful slits the more the
feline tried to goad her partner into reacting. She knew that if
she didn’t pacify Rosies abruptly growing temper that the
situation could turn badly for them a lot sooner than
anticipated. Without a word Sonya placed a singular hand on the
Echidnas shoulder as a means of comfort and calm but also in
silent warning. She could emphasise fully on how the ninja was
feeling right now hell if not for her experience in situations
similar to these she probably wouldn’t have been taking the
felines disrespect half as lightly. This however was what this
destructive cat wanted albeit she was dragging things out longer
than necessary but she wanted a reaction they’d yet to begin
trading blows and she was already trying to scope them both out
for weaknesses that she could use to her advantage later. The
best thing for them at present was to temporarily put all
personal feelings aside and make taking her down the priority.
They’d have plenty of time to reflect on the personal after all
       this was taken care of.
Gently ushering her new friend to stand behind her and hopefully
quash her bubbling anger down for the time being. Sonya spoke
very bluntly. “Let me make this abundantly clear to you. What
you’ve done is not and never will be for anyones greater good.
There’s a difference between willing cooperation and misleading
and manipulation. We don’t care what level your’re on this whole
thing is getting shut down and the only thing that we are
overwhelmed by is how delusional you sound.”

Honestly, Rosie wasn't sure what made her angrier at this point.
The fact that the 'high and mighty' feline didn't even care how
much suffering she was causing to her victims or the fact that
she was using a self-proclaimed position of omnipotence and
power to excuse her actions. The echidna didn't care about the
weak insults that came at her in return, more than her growing
incentive to bring this insensitive crook to justice. However,
with the comforting touch on her shoulder from Sonya, Rosie
gives the fox a slightly-softened look as she realizes the
intensity of her rage. Though it was justified in her mind, the
kunoichi knew that she may have rather rash with her actions and
let her anger and disgust get the better of her.
'...Okay. Now's not the time to get super worked up.' Rosie
meditates to herself, taking a quiet yet brief breather to cool
herself down. She wasn't about to let this cold being
completely blind her in anger. The serious glare was still
present in her scolding eyes, however, as she keeps her gaze on
the cat that was prowling around them. "One way or another,
we're getting that lady out of here and you're going to own up
for what you did. So, why don't you stop with the
high-and-mighty talk and let's settle this like warriors?"
