Set After Roses Fall, but the Thorns Remain. [Amy & Sonya Only]

       ___
Ordinarily visiting the Green Hill zone would have delighted the
fennec fox. This place was often commended for its natural
beauty and various scenic views. If she were here on a visit of
her own leisure she could have easily spent hours sprawled by a
soft running stream allowing the world to pass her by. Goodness
knows she felt like she’d earned the luxury of downtime
after months out and on field duty in a world that hadn’t
been her own and had given her more than her share of trails and
tribulations to overcome but overcome them she had. However it
looked like she couldn’t afford to rest up just yet. From
what she gathered so far from the material that Sally had
briefed her on there was something sinister going on in this
usually pleasant zone and it was her job to find out the who,
why and what and rectify the situation as shortly as possible.
If Sonya was being honest with herself she wasn’t
emotionally ready to launch herself straight back into the fray
of things she’d barely had time to process much personally
and she secretly wasn’t sure of herself at the moment. But
when Sally had asked her if she was feeling up to it she found
herself unable to turn the princesses request down. Not because
felt she couldn’t she knew that given the circumstances if
she said that she wasn’t feeling up to the mission that
Sally would have understood and found someone else to cover her
for this mission. The fox medic knew the subject would have been
closed as simply as that but she also knew that with a handful
of resistance members still on the outer zone mission, and the
Freedom Fighters they did still have around on their world being
occupied with other various duties involving helping innocents
pick up the pieces from the aftermath of the war.
Sallies hands were tied she wouldn’t be asking this of her
at a time like this if this wasn’t serious. Which led to
how the weary fox medic encased in her dark blue field suit
attire was now wandering through the tranquil zone trying to
figure out who on earth would cause havoc in a zone so
peacefully docile. Fortunately she got her answer in the form of
a scream that bubbled with enough hysteria and sorrow to prick
her large fluffy ears high atop her head and cause them twitch
accordingly in the direction the shouting came from.
“PLEASE! DON’T DO THIS! I’M NOT READY THIS
ISN’T FAIR!” Her dark boot boots crunching against
the ground Sonya found herself rapidly picking up speed as the
minutes passed. While her speed certainly didn’t match
Sonic or Scourge the adrenaline pummelling through her veins was
doing wonders. Arriving on the scene not a moment to soon she
barely had time to assess what was going on before her strong
legs were moving of their own accord. All traces of tiredness
now erased from her features the only thing Sonya cared about
right then was taking these scumbags down.
Of course they were both sixth foot and easily out weighed her
but she knew from her training that there was far more to
fighting than size. Three sets of heads snapping towards her the
youngest of the trio he barely looked older than sixteen cried
out. “P-PLEASE HELP ME!” Before his head was
forcefully jerked backwards, and a cloth was forced in between
his lips. Having used the momentum from her running start to her
advantage Sonya waited until the last minute before she launched
herself across the stream that separated her from the group with
gazelle like grace, landing in front of them all in crouching
position, before she straightened up cracking her knuckles.
“I’m sorry but unfortunately for you both I’m
going to have to cut in.”
Deciding to not give them any time to gather their bearings
Sonya moved in swiftly towards the slightly bigger of the pair
anticipating that when she came in close he would try and
overpower her. A distasteful growl coming from the bears muzzle,
his words radiated spite for their unwelcome arrival.
“This isn’t any of your business fox! BE
GONE!” putting a vicious amount of force behind the swing
he tried to bring his machete down on Sonyas head. But Sonya
being ready lunged to meet the arm that swung it, the edges of
her hands striking the bigger males forearm and biceps. His
machete clattered to the ground, and when he tried to back away
Sonya kept up her hold. Her arm still wrapped around his she was
firing elbows into his face. Uncharacteristically relentless she
turned his nose to mush and attempted to take him to the floor
but he saw through that move and at the last second encircled
her waist threw her up, and then straight back down, the oxygen
       whooshing from the females lungs.
Forcing herself to take taking shallow breaths she manoeuvred
herself into a backwards roll to get out of battering range and
give herself space albeit not much of it. Her teeth actually
bared in disgust her gaze flicked between the two watching as
their own gazes shifted to one another almost as if they were
silently agreeing on something. Sonya had a pretty good feeling
she wasn’t going to like whatever it was. Her tail
twitching furiously she slowly rose back up, and raised her
fists. Watching as the two began to close in.
This was a problem because not only was she distracted worrying
about their hostage who still remained distressed gagged and
bound by his wrists and ankles but handling fights that
weren’t one on two was still very new territory for her.
If she didn’t stay sharp there was a chance these guys
       could actually overwhelm her.
“Your’re going to regret interfering girly..”

Fortunately for the fox, she wasn't going to be left alone with
the thugs for much longer. Lurkering around the surroundings of
a clearing, something was there with them, hidden in the cover
the surrounding trees. The wind would blow through the tree
leaves around the confrontation to fill the omninous silence of
the area. As the very atmosphere would slowly begin to grow
tense, it would become more apparent of the truth... They were
       being watched.
It wouldn't be long before something began launch out from one
of the trees: a small array pale-blue kunai knives speeding
towards the group at high speed. Shockingly enough, they were
are all speeding right in the direction of the bound-up hostages
as the distance between them and the sharp objects abruptly
dropped to zero in an instant. As soon as the projects reached
their targets, the young captives would soon realize that no
harm would befall upon them from the sudden ambush, for the real
objective were their binds. The kunai had all wooshed past
their bodies and pierced through the ropes around them and slice
them apart to release the relentless grip on their wrists and
ankles, all aimed with such precision that they didn't even
touch the children's skin. It was obvious that whoever threw
those knives at them knew exactly what they were doing.
However, the phantom among them was not done... Seconds after
the hostages ropes were slashed apart and the leftover kunai
mysterious disappeared from the ground, two more kunai were
launched out of the nearby trees, this time aiming directly for
the two culprits responsible for the terror that was unleashed.
Though, something was a bit off about the trajectory of these
knives as well for they didn't exactly hit the two baddies, dead
center. The kunai would stick into the ground, right near their
feet, before melting into the grass and conjuring up two glowing
two spots beneath them, each made of an odd form of pure energy.
The energy from the two spots would bind their feet in place,
keeping the two bullies from being able to make a move on the
fox or even run away. They would be trapped, ripe for whatever
was watching them to claim them and providing an avenue for the
kids to escape. It would seem that the two had pick a bad place
to pick on innocent children. They had stepped right into a
       ninja ambush!
The trees around the ground would begin to rustle even more, the
wind continuing to set the mood, but that wasn't the only
reason. There was more movement happening within their leafy
canopies, most likely from whatever or whomever was targeting
them. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, a turquoise blur shoots
out of one of the trees, zooming towards the two thugs in a
spherical form, almost like that of Sonic's signature spin dash.
The spin ball would dash right for the gap in between them
before uncurling itself, launching two feet directly for the
duo's head for a forceful split kick attack. Just before the
simultaneous strikes would connect, the glowing spots beneath
them would fade out of existence and release the grip on their
feet. Therefore, the surprise attack would pack enough force to
knock the two across the grass in two separate directions as the
unknown vigilante whizzes past. The figure would flip towards
the ground and extend a hand onto the ground to further spring
itself up into a rolling somersault until it finally lands onto
its feet, crouched right in front of Sonya to fully reveal its
appearance to the fox. It appeared to be a pink echidna with a
       rather slim, feminine physique
  HTML http://sonicspotlightrp.createaforum.com/character-biographies/rosie-the-echidna/msg33678/#msg33678,<br
/>all cloaked up in a blue ninja garb which was complete with a
navy blue scarf, sash and knee pads, a white headband which tied
down her tomboyish bangs, sports tape around top portion of her
forearms and leading up to her wrists, and white tobi-style
socks. To Sonya's luck, the kunoichi had been nearby to see the
entire confrontation unfold and decided to intervene.
The ninja girl would stand up before the brave, selfless vixen,
lifting her close eyelids to reveal a set of glistening,
turquoise eyes that shined brighter than her garb. Her scarf
was covering her muzzle so the fox could not see her wrapped up
mouth, making it a little tricky to detect any form of
expression from her. From where she was standing, the ninja
could've easily attempted to take the place of the thugs and
made an offensive approach towards her...but that wasn't the
case. In fact, she gives the fox girl a quick wink with her
right eye as a slight giggle could be heard from her, revealing
a hint of her slightly-deep, tomboyish voice. Though it
expressed a bit of a playful side to her, it was also a subtle
gesture to let the vixen know that she was on her side. Soon
after, the kunoichi would turn herself around to face the two
thugs she ambushed and crossed her arms as she stared them down.
Her eyes narrowed into a stern scowl, now bringing more of a
disciplined, serious demeanor with a real ninja warrior. The
kunoichi was definitely not happy with what to do tried to do to
       the children nor to Sonya.
"Why don't you jerks pick on someone your own size?" The ninja
       would speak, scolding them.

The hairs on the back of her neck standing back it felt like
both her adrenaline and sixth sense were working overtime. She
couldn&#8217;t pinpoint who or get a direct lock down on the
location yet but from the moment that they atmosphere took on a
forbidding kind of air. Her suspicions that someone else was
close by were confirmed. Not that she could afford to let her
mind wander to freely at this point to whether or not this
mysterious newcomer would bring any additional threat to the
circumstances if that were the case then that was going to be a
short term problem for her. An anxious thought was poking
persistently at the back of her head and she soon found out why.
Her palm splaying out with scarcely to spare the faint signature
makings of one of her electric blue force field walls had shot
up as from the ground near the hostages as counter measure to
the array of impressively bizarre weaponry. However the oddities
appeared to continue as the kunai knives came to a visibly
laboured pace. She&#8217;d never seen anything like this it was
amazing if not unnerving that these inanimate blades seemed to
       have minds of their own.
The cutters promptly delayed descend as they drew closer to the
group of teens still rang alarm bells for the fox medic but they
were at least milder now. Yes what was happening here was
unexpected and unnerving but was it dangerous? She was going to
have faith that it wasn&#8217;t. Her forcefield wall
dissipating in enough time for the blue kunais to make contact
with their actually intended targets which much to Sonyas quiet
gratitude was the harsh binds that had been knotting the
frightened pair together. Whoever was behind this was clearly no
armature in their area of expertise and for that she was
thankful. Confusion registering across her dainty features at
the sight of the left over throwing kunai disappearing from the
spot where it had been embedded in. Her mind was scrambling to
keep up with all that went on next more knives were being thrown
and this time they were heading directly for the two thugs in
question at much more of an increased pace. Blue hues widening
in alarm Sonya instinctively manoeuvred herself in front of the
foes in one rapid motion. Arms crossed in front of her in the
shape of an x she didn&#8217;t have time to do anything else.
Unknown to the blonde hero the trajectory of the knives
wasn&#8217;t to induce any permeate harm. Slowly opening an eye
as the moments passed and she remained unscathed the shouts and
swearing from the criminals behind her assaulted her sensitive
       ears. &#8220;WHAT ARE YOU DOING JUST STANDING THERE?!&#8221;
&#8220;WE CAN&#8217;T MOVE WHAT&#8217;S UP WITH THESE FREAKY
KNIVES!&#8221; Glancing slightly backward over her shoulder
Sonya saw the unusual forms of pure energy which were somehow
ensuring that the bulky pair remained sitting ducks.
In the background those that had been tied had fled nearby to
take temporary refuge out of sight which reassured the doctor
further. They were probably traumatised and confused but
she&#8217;d be able to help them once she finished up here. Her
large fluffy ears twitching in various directions Sonya kept her
guard up as the minutes ticked by. And then it happened a
turquoise blur packing what appeared to be immense physical
capabilities cannon balled straight past her in a curl up that
was almost strikingly similar to her best friends known move.
Whirling round the astounded fennec stifled a cheer when she
witnessed the two males getting smacked around. Hell watching
the results of the impact that split kick had even made her
wince. When her peculiar company unfolded herself before her
Sonya didn&#8217;t know quite what to think.
There was something about this individual though.. she got a
sense that this person thrived for opportunities to clash and
after what she just witnessed if they were looking for a fight
then she would have give them one. And then the echidna opened
up her closed eyelids and a pair of stunningly coloured
turquoise blue irises met her own, and within them Sonya
didn&#8217;t see any anger or malice adrenaline.. excitement
maybe? But a threat this female was not. Her assumptions
further confirmed from the wink that the other female flashed
her and the sound of her deep gravelly giggle. Sonya found
herself feeling a little less tense at least temporarily anyway.
When the ninja echidna suddenly changed attitude in a split
second when addressing the now cowering pair of opponents the
fennec found herself blinking in surprise once, twice before she
gathered her bearings enough to step up beside her arms crossed
while she shared the same sort of serious distasteful expression
as the other girl. &#8220;I completely agree. It&#8217;s going
to be a long and bleak existence for the both of you behind bars
for attempted murder boys. However I have questions so
you&#8217;d be wise not to waste my time. While I may be
merciful my new friend here [gestures sideways to cool ninja
chick]has a shorter fuse than i do so if you don&#8217;t answer
promptly I can&#8217;t be held responsible for what may or may
not happen to you.&#8221; Naturally she was convincingly
bluffing despite their criminal status she would never let a
situation along these lines get violently out of hand. But they
       didn&#8217;t have to know that.
&#8220;What were the two of you doing out here chaining innocent
people up and trying to drown them?&#8221; Only one out of the
two thugs conscious after their beat downs, the one that was
still alert spat blood sideways, licked his lips and started
lightly chuckling. &#8220;I have the right to remain silent
don&#8217;t i? consider that right carried dumbo.&#8221; Hissing
out of the side of his mouth as Sonya proceeded to not so gently
slap cuffs across his and his partners wrists Sonya fought off
the urge to lash out in frustration.

A light, quiet growl would escape her closed, covered mouth
after the conscious thug refused to answer the fox's question.
From the looks of it, the two might've just captured and
tormented to children for no apparent reason, just for the fun
of it. A very thought that angered the echidna ninja. However,
even such a scrappy girl knew how to keep her composure as well.
The culprits were already defeated so she was aware that extra
violence wasn't necessary at this point. One thug was down for
the count and the other was bark and no bite. Plus, with the
kids out of reach, their so called murder mission was a complete
       bust.
Her attention shifted back to her brave ally who boldly put
herself on the line for the kids when no one else was present to
help. Not only did she was able to somewhat handle herself in a
fist fight but, judging from the pairs of handcuffs she pulled
out, also appeared to some kind of local authority figure or
even a Freedom Fighter, from her point of view. Regardless of
which one was which, there was no doubt that the kunoichi was
definitely impressed with her courage in the heat of battle.
She felt proud to help out such a strong-willed vixen,
especially in the presence of danger. Though her scarf was
hiding it, the warrior was bearing a nice, wide smile while she
       approached her ally.
"Ah, don't let him get to you. The kids got away safely and his
buddy is out cold. I don't think they'll be causing anymore
trouble for now," The echidna reassures Sonya.

The pink ones words providing vast amounts of comfort for the
fennec she finally looked up from tightening the restraints to
levels that were somewhat more uncomfortable than usually
acceptable. She didn’t think Sally would be fussed though these
two had been trying to drown and kill minors they were lucky she
wasn’t tempted to do worse. All to aware that she was letting
her displeasure about the circumstances show more openly than
what was considered professional she took a mental breath and by
the time she’d counted backwards from ten she felt less like
throttling the duo in front of them. Finally straightening
herself up from her crouched position she gave the echidna a
warm smile her expression a far cry from the disgust and anger
that it’d been harbouring only minutes ago. “Yeah partially
because of you. I really appreciate the back up! needless to say
your timing couldn’t have been more immaculate .. “ Trailing
off a look of concern briefly crossed her soft features. It was
clear that Sonya was reflecting on what might of happened had
she been overwhelmed by the pair. If anything had happened to
those teens on her account she wouldn’t have been able to live
with herself. ‘Stop it Sonya don’t drag yourself into this way
of thinking the victims are fine now.'
Putting her more negative thoughts on the back burner for the
time being, Sonya focused her attention back on the echidna in
front of her extending a dark grey gloved hand for her shake.
The hand she didn’t extend coming to rest casually on her
slender hip.“It was amazing getting to watch someone as skilled
as you in action! The name’s Sonya by the way. Sonya Heart
Freedom Fighter Medic and Resistance Official it’s a pleasure to
       meet you.”

At that moment, the ninja would further return her friend's show
of courtesy by reaching at her facial area with her right hand
and pulling down the blue scarf that came with her garb. Before
long, the garment was lowered to the base of her shoulders,
revealing the girl's face in full as her yellow muzzle was now
in view and, along with it, a slight blush on her cheeks. The
warrior was actually flatter the earlier compliment she earned,
which made her even more proud of her actions. Though she
managed to quell the situation rather easily, she was still
modest enough to accept given credit when it was due. With her
cheerful smile now clearly seen, the echidna gladly accepts
       Sonya's offer for a handshake.
"Aww, it was nothing! I was glad to help!" The girl responds, a
more energetic personally further shining through. Of course,
not forgetting her manners, the kunoichi was fully prepared to
reveal her identity as well. "And my name is Roselia Shaolin,
but my friends call me Rosie. I'm a traveling martial artist
and ninja warrior from the Hidden Emerald Dimension!"

“Huh ..a travelling martial artist from the Hidden Emerald
Dimension now that’s a new one for me. Well regardless of where
your from I owe you one if your’re ever in a jam you have

infectious Sonya found herself warming to her instantly. After
months away in a zone that had made her feel beyond homesick it
made Sonya really good to be albeit physically and emotionally
exhausted but back in action fighting the good fight for those
who couldn’t. Making new friends along the way like Rosie was
simply the icing on the cake. Letting her hand retreat back to
its side after their handshake she took a moment to tap out an
alert on her communicator alerting the city guards that there
were criminals appended in the Green Hill zone. “Okay .. I guess
       that’s tha-“
Ears suddenly flickering, Sonya tensed her gaze darting to some
shrubs nearby. Moving soundlessly towards the source of the
rustling alongside the sound she could also pick up the sounds
of two sets of breathing. By now she had figured out who their
extra remaining company was but she had to be sure. Keeping her
tone of voice feather light she spoke. “Hey .. there’s no need
to be afraid. We’re not going to harm either of you. You guys
       can come on out now.”
A few quiet moments coming to pass Sonya stepped back from the
shrub to give the teens some space and then as expected out they
came. A slender male fox who looked about ready to start crying
at any given chance and a younger looking bunny girl but not
younger by much who although calmer seemed to only just be
holding it together for the two of them. Her hands circling
slowly around her wrists where the shackles had been, she met
Sonyas gaze. “W-We’re sorry we didn’t mean to spy on you both!
But we couldn’t just leave! I know that you don’t know us and I
know that this is asking a lot but.. we have no other options
and we.. we saw what you and your friend did.. a-and we couldn’t
help but overhear what you said. Your’re a Freedom Fighter.. and
a Ninja Warrior s-so you have to us help please!”

With a quick, happy nod and release of her grip on her new
friend's hand, the warrior was ready set back out on her own
path once more, satisfied with a honest days work in
apprehending a pair of no-good crooks. However, right before
she was ready to dash off, she also sensed the nearby children
nearby. Looks like they haven't fully fled the area after all.
Before they even said a word, Rosie had a hunch that something
was up. After all, if they stayed behind this whole time rather
than fleeing the scene, they must have something important to
say. Her suspicious were clearly confirmed when the two kids
came to her and Sonya with their desperate plea. Even though
she had just got done dealing with the thugs earlier, Rosie
still had plenty of steam for another potential mission. Thus,
the kunoichi calmly approaches bunny and lowers herself onto one
knee to meet the child's gaze a lot better.
"Of course. What's the problem?" Rosie questions, her cheerful
tone dying down just a little bit and replacing itself with a
       more determined yet optimistic volume.

The desperation in the bunnies voice triggering her fresh
concern the fox medic remained silent instead simply nodding in
agreement whch encouraged the pair to speak up. The poor things
looked shaken to the core. Fresh tears filling the bunny rabbits
eyes when the pink female leaned down towards her she clutched
lightly at her arm. The crack in her tone no longer subtle.
&#8220;T-There&#8217;s a small group of us up in the mountains
.. we&#8217;ve never had a lot in our community and most of the
time it&#8217;s a struggle to survive and so we would pray for a
saviour to come and give us salvation and then our mighty
goddess Jinxsu came along and showed us the extents of what her
divine power could do, to begin with we were all astounded
we&#8217;d never seen anyone like her or anyone who could do
what she does before and so we all thought that she was what
we&#8217;d be waiting hoping for.. but-&#8220; Suddenly getting
extremely choked up the fox by her side found himself wrapping
his arms around her and pulling her closer.
Thick tears dribbling down her cheeks the bunny managed to
gather her wits about her enough to continue.&#8220;Then the
sacrifices started.. it used to just be her that we&#8217;d
have to keep happy but now she says that we must make regular
contributions to appease the voodoo gods that watch over and
protect us. &#8220;It used to be someone every month.. but then
it increased to someone every few weeks a-and now .. an organic
sacrifice must be made daily. M-My mumma is supposed to offered
tonight but I just c-can&#8217;t let that happen! I
CAN&#8217;T-&#8220; Placing a soothing hand on both childrens
shoulders Sonya spoke softly but firmly making sure tone held
steady. &#8220;That&#8217;s not going to happen. We promise.
Rosie don&#8217;t you think a visit to the voodoo
       &#8216;queen&#8217; is long overdue?&#8221;

Though Rosie wasn't all that familiar on the concept of voodoo,
she was aware of the idea of making living sacrifices, usually
for a dark purpose. At the sound of this, the warrior closes
her eyes while her display of optimism melts into one of clear
agitation and even slight anger. Just reminding of herself of
people forcefully ripping the life out of another person for
sick displays of power disgusted her.
"...Do you even need to ask? There's no way I'll stand for
something that cruel," Rosie responds back to Sonya before opens
her eyes again, a serious glare now resting within her turqoise
optics, directed at the child before her. "We'll do everything
we can to keep your mother from becoming a sacrifice, even if I
have to take on this Jinxsu, myself. Can you point us in the
       right direction?"
