Just a drop is all it takes... [Open]

In a world of super powered heroes, vicious villains, and a
litany of other characters in between: the Mobotropolis museum
of Science and History has not typically been seen as a hotbed
of excitement or discussion. In fact: it was seen more as
curiosity to most outside the avid fans devoted to learning.
Yet, despite this, when news outlets began to circulate that it
would be the home to some newly uncovered relics from the
supposed 'Lost Golden Age' of Apotos heads definitely began to
turn. Maybe it was the exclusivity of some 'never before seen
treasures', the aggressive advertisement campaign, or possibly
the genuine fascination with the mythos of old that captivated
the wonder of the masses. Whatever it was though the once dull
place of learning certainly had managed to capture the public's
eye.
For better or for worse.
The night before the premier of the exhibit a few lowlife crooks
had decided to get a sneak peek, as well as a few souvenirs for
their troubles!
"Boss are you sure no one is gonna find out?" A rather large but
dopey looking rat grunted as he nervously looked back and forth
into the darkness of night. He and his 'boss' were trying to use
this late hour to try and break in through the emergency exit on
the side of the building unnoticed. The rat knew he was told
that this was gonna be their big break but part of him felt
unsure.
"Shut it cheese brain, no one comes here anyways! This'll be a
snap! Side's it's full proof! We waltz in, grab the first shiny
thing, waltz out, and sell it at the nearest pawn shop. I'll be
rich!" A rather wiry weasel chittered as he used his thin tail
like a lockpick and attempted to break in the door.
"I dunno boss, don'tcha worry that we might get haunted?" The
rat spoke slowly but completely seriously. Clearly the lights
weren't all on upstairs for him.
"Oh for the love of... No you fat idiot, we'll be fine! Now shut
it and let me focus..." The weasel rolled his eyes in annoyance.
He stopped however, as he heard the telltale click of the lock
giving way. "See what'd I tell ya?! Now let's go! 'Lost Golden
Age ' here we come!" With that the two slipped into the museum,
unaware that by opening the door they had tripped a silent
alarm. What sort of heroes might they draw in? What sort of
thieves would they end up crossing? Only time would tell...

It was a night like any other night for the young wolf boy who
starred idly into the night sky as he decided to take a break
from his usual night patrol. Taking a sip of a can of soda, the
young hunter sat lonely on top of a rooftop near the museum that
was suppose to hold some special event tomorrow. Now normally
nobody but the rich folk along side historians cared for the
place but given this new event was being heavily talked about
around town, no doubt someone would surely try something.
With Eggman MIA at the moment, Blaze had to settle for his
normal job as a bounty hunter. Although it doesn't hurt to play
hero every now and then. Tonight felt like a slow night though
as he sipped the last bit of his soda before sitting it beside
him and laying back with a loud yawn.
" Ahh come on already....i've been scooping this place out all
night and not a single noise has been made. Maybe crooks aren't
into museums..." Blaze said to himself s he huffed a small bit
of flame into the air. It was at this moment his ears twitched
as he heard some chatter from below. Looking down he managed to
spot to figure creep inside the museum.
Jumping to his feet, he clapped his hands to his face before
grinning. " Ask and you shall receive. Let's see what these two
guys are up to. " he said to himself before jumping off the
building landing with a light thud and slipped in behind the two
a little after they entered sticking to the shadows as much as
possible.

The two crooks were not very subtle. The wolf would be able to
hear them clattering and arguing among themselves as they walked
deeper and deeper into the museum. As he followed them, he'd
eventually be able to see just where they were headed. A large
banner reading: 'The Myths of Apotos: Experience the Golden
Age.' Clearly though, the crooks just saw the word 'gold' and
assumed there would be something valuable.
"What the heck is this?!" The weasel cried out, flashing his
light over the glass cases. "A bunch of rocks with pictures?
Rinky dink tools and junk?" He growled. "This is worthless!
Golden Age my furry tail! For cryin out loud!" He roared,
throwing his arms up in disgust.
"I dunno boss, look at this." The rat uttered, shining his light
on a bigger case in the center of the exhibit. "I see something
that looks like gold..."
As soon as the rat said the word gold the weasel zipped over.
"Shine the light on it fatso. I wanna see!" He ordered as he
looked over the large case. Inside was a large coffin, adorned
with ancient runes and jewel encrusted gold. It looked like the
coffin built for a king, though the fang filled maw of a demonic
fox affixed to the top of it made it seem like it contained
something or some one far more foreboding.
"We could probably pry the shiny stuff off... Get the crowbar!"

Blaze simply facepalmed slightly as he watched the two make
every form of noise possible. He was curious how these guys had
never been caught. Come to think of it, he wondered if this
place had guards. Listening to the two bicker, Blaze figured he
would get a sneak peek of the exhibit himself before hearing one
of the goons finding something of interest.
He looked over at the coffin with a small tilt of his head. "
Well that looks unnerving a bit..." He muttered to himself. He
wondered if there was a body inside the box so for now he simply
watched and waited to see if these guys were just as bad as he
thought they were.

CRASH!!!
The rat smashed the case, setting off an alarm that filled the
museum. The weasel's eyes lit up in alarm as he slunk to his
large minion's side. "Hurry up you big lug! lift that thing out
and lets get the hell outta here!" He chattered, ears flicking
as the sound of footsteps filled the hall. The rat grunted out
as he lifted the case over his head.
"Hey stop where you are!" A doberman guard cried out as he
hastily took hold of his pistol. "I need back up! We've got a
robbery in progress!" He barked into his walkie talkie.
"Lets get goin!" The weasel cried out as he started rushing back
from where he came from. The rat strained, carrying the heavy
coffin over his head.

Blaze cringed as the goons with the simple smash and grab. This
was gonna be over before he knew it as a guard came in screaming
for the crooks to stop. Not wasting time he called for backup as
the goons took off. Looks like it was time for this hunter to
make his move. Running from out of the shadows, Blaze ran in
front of the two as a small fire trail appeared in front of the
crooks hopefully stopping their progress.
" Come on boys where's the fire? Well besides the obivous of
course. Why don't you just hand that statute over and i won't
have to let the guards take you in." He replied with a smirk as
he had his arms crossed.

"Boss! It's one of them Bounty Hunters!" The Rat gasped taking
one step back away from that wall of fire that the wolf had
summoned. The sound of footsteps echoed loudly down the hall as
the guard drew ever closer. They were running out of time. They
had to go! Despite everything, the Rat refused to set the
hulking artifact down, he instead looked to his much smaller
companion.
"We can't trust him! I aint gonna go to jail cause some Pyro
tried to sweet talk me!" The weasel declared as he brandished a
knife. With a savage roar, he dashed forward with his knife, his
beady eyes burning with desperation and hatred. He tried to cut
the wolf with a fast swipe of the blade as his Partner rushed
forward, attempting to barrel through. No matter what stood in
his way.

Blaze half expected the goons to act hostile. His luck with
solving things peacefully never fully go as planned. He sighed
shaking his head before leaping to the side and tripping the
goon that decided to rush him with the knife.
" You can't say i didn't warn you. Hm?" Blaze said as he
shrugged his shoulders before looking at the big guy charging
towards him with no signs of stopping. Charging a bit of fire to
his feet, Blaze got into a crouch like stance before boosting
towards the goon like a bullet as he planned to trip the goon in
a similar way to his friend. If this worked, he would be able to
wrap this up quickly.

The two clowns tripped over one another as the experienced
bounty hunter crashed into them. Though, perhaps that wasn't the
most wise course of action. For both stumbled and fell forward.
Casket and all. The heavy sound of ancient stone crashing
against the tile floor shook the windows on the museum as the
casket slammed against the ground and slid a ways. Next to fall
was the rat, who chipped his tooth on the hard floor and sent a
spray of blood, splattering a bit on himself, Blaze, his boss...
And the casket...
"You knuckle head! Can't you do anything right?!" The Weasel
snarled, looking back to his underling in a fit of rage. Only to
stop, and stare.
"Boss... I feel funny." The rat complained as that trickle of
blood from his mouth became a flood. The weasel jumped up and
rushed behind Blaze to cower as that blood kept pouring,
draining the color from the rat's face. The stream didn't once
touch the ground however, instead it swayed through the air like
a feather dancing in the breeze. Not a drop was wasted as it
began to pool in the center of the stone casket. Right into the
maw of that demonic fox of stone.
"Y-You gotta do something! Help! Help my friend!" The Weasel
crook pleaded to Blaze as he tugged on his arm. The rat
meanwhile, was already long past gone. His body lifted up like a
marionette on a string as he was DRAINED. Once the maw was full,
the blood began to seep into the intricate grooves causing the
embedded runes to glow with a haunting scarlet hue. This lasted,
until the rat was a shriveled husk. A husk that collapsed into
dust as soon as it hit the floor.

All was still for a moment, until the top of the casket began to
crack at the seams. With a terrifying groan, the heavy lid would
be pushed aside and sent to the ground, the light and blood
seeming to fade into nothing. In it's place, a beautiful vixen
arose, letting her long black hair cascade down her form as she
arched her back to contort in a much needed stretch. Her maw
parted open, as a long exhale escaped as if she were using her
lungs for the first time in a millennia.
"ΛΉƬƬ ΛЩƧ Λ
ᄂПӨG ПPΛ."
She spoke, in an unknown tongue before looking down to inspect
her body. She was clad in a pair of dusty rags fit for a
prisoner, it was a wonder that the cloth hadn't disintegrated
after the countless years. Upon her wrists and ankles were a
pair of brittle shackles that she easily snapped off as she
stepped out of her own coffin. She first looked to Blaze, her
blaring red eyes seeming to ignite with that same scarlet glow
as before. She took one step, before gently cupping his cheek,
looking into his eyes with an intense curiosity.

After Blaze's successful attack, he cringed at the impact that
was made by the two goons. The rat specfically as the sound of
his tooth hitting the ground caused the wolf to flinch slightly.
Like the weasel, Blaze stared at the rat and tilted his head as
the blood from his mouth starting to pour like a waterfall
before swirling in the air and went straight to the coffin
beside them. As the weasel fled behind Blaze, he only watched as
any thought of moving was put aside as the rat's body shortly
turned to nothingness.
With the sound of the coffin opening up, Blaze readied himself
for whatever was about to come out of it. He froze however as a
young fox girl arose from the coffin in worn down rags and
shackles. What was she doing in there? Better question why did
blood flow to the coffin.? When the woman spoke, Blaze simply
tilted his head again.
" Umm sorry? " he replied. She then approached him placing her
hands on his cheeks. Being this close, Blaze blushed briefly
before shaking his head a bit. " Okay as much as i love the
attention like Sonic i think we should introduce ourselves. I'm
Blaze...and you are? " he asked as he removed the woman's hands
from his cheecks.
