The afternoon sun was high in the sky as it shined down on the
Stjerne mansion outside of Mobotropolis. A nice white building
with a sizable garden and home to Sigurd Stjerne, the founder of
Stellar Construction, a company that both designed and build a
variety of buildings, and his family. As of today though, the
house was mostly empty, with only the youngest member of the
family, Arvid, and his twin sisters, Hedwig and Sigrid, being
home at the moment.
The two sisters, having gotten bored with their exercises out in
the yard, decided that they'd go mess with their younger
brother. He had a tendency to keep to himself after all.
"Arvid, are you in there?" Hedvig asked while knocking on the
door to his room. She then looked to her twin as they waited.
Time to see what their little brother was up to, "sitting and
sketching again?"

''Of course, please do come in, sisters.'' The young stag
responded with without gazing away from his paper tablet as he
was sketching portraits of the people he saw at Club Rouge on
Christmas. He had an attention to detail that was uncanny, to
say the least, and memory to back it up. Of all the people he
drew, only a few stood out in the picture, first, there was this
beautiful doe that caused him to have his mouth fall gaping and
freezing on the spot. The second was that kind penguin that
closed his mouth to save him from making a fool of himself and
third was the Skunk behind the bar as he seemed to be a friend
of the friendly penguin. The rest wasn't important enough to
remember but that woman, stood out and he didn't have the
courage to go to talk to her. He knew that his sister probably
came to tease him on the fact that he skipped the Christmas
family dinner in favour of a club, which was pretty unusual
coming from him.
''Is someone sending you? Or are you just coming in to shove
your nose into my affairs again? Don't get me wrong I do enjoy
the company, at least yours and Mother...'' He said trying to
reassure himself it was just a courtesy visit and not some
'diplomatic envoy' visit from the Patriarch of the family.

The door opened and both his sisters, two identical, strong
looking does, entered to see him sitting with his sketches.
"Well, no one except from us three is home," Hedwig pointed out
as she went over to look at his work. She was distinguished by
wearing dark blue clothing compared to Sigrid wearing white.
"So we're not here as an envoy or anything like that," Sigrid
said, finishing her sister's sentence and joined her, "what are
you doing, dear brother of ours?"
"Drawing people again?" Hedwig asked as she looked over the
sketch, "who are they?"
"Friends, acquaintances or maybe closer?" Sigrid asked further,
"found the one at least?"
"The crush?" Hedwig chuckled, "or are you just letting your
hopeless fantasies run wild again."
"Probably, although the other two are also in great detail,
"Sigrid said and then looked to her brother alongside her twin,
"come on Arvid. Don't keep your sisters waiting."

''what is it that requires my presence so much that you must
insist to be in my company, sisters dearest?'' The young stag
asked as he stood up from his chair. '' These people, just stood
up from the crowd and then there she was. I didn't dare to ask
her name, anyway she went to talk to a drunkard. After all, Club
Rouge is famous I heard and it sounded like the perfect place to
skip the Christmas family drama and avoid the meatheads
entirely.'' Arvid was never one to talk a lot, except to his
sisters and his mother. The only confidence he truly had, having
no real friends. Poor thing wasn't in a cheerful mood but his
sisters' company albeit sometimes teasing him due to their
almost sadistic nature somehow always felt comforting for the
stag.

"Can't we be allowed to spend time with you?" Hedwig asked with
a raised eyebrow, "is a reason required?"
"We care about you, unlike others," Sigrid said with a smile
before both girls started giggling from Arvid's explanation,
"wait, do my ears deceive me, sister?"
"Then we're both deceived," Hegwig giggled as she and Sigrid
both said, "Arvid got a crush. Arvid got a crush."
Right after that they both hugged him, "congratulations,
brother. You've taken your first step. Even if you didn't talk
with her."
"That is why father dislikes you though," Sigrid said as they
let go of him, "some might even say he hates you."
"No spine and no gall," Hedwig sighed and patted Arvid on the
back, "always keeping to himself and hiding away."
"It's little wonder he'd skip out on the family dinner," Sigrid
followed up, "no doubt it'd be horrible for him."
"And here he finds the girl of his dreams... and lets her go,"
Hedwig sighed, "such a shame, such a shame."
"And as long as he remains single father will continue to
dislike him," Sigrid pointed out, "he is even thinking that he
is seeing other males."
"We all know that is a lie, he'd never be able to get together
with someone," Hedwig said and leaned on her sister, "not
without help."
"Not without our help, sister," Sigrid finished as they both
looked at Arvid with a smirk.

''Preposterous! Father hates all of which are not like his
twisted vision of the world. And what if I were seeing other
males, it still wouldn't be of his business. All of this
because I chose the path of a novelist and sketch, things he
disapproves simply because they are not in the realm of
testosterone imbued accomplishments like the meatheads.''He said
calmly but was boiling inside as he was reminded that in the
end, he was still the spineless brother.
He sighed and followed them, they seemed to have a plan in mind
in which he may partake. It was a good occasion to spend time
with the only siblings he respected and perhaps their feminine
instinct would help him on the social aspects he had no clues
about. ''What do you mean, by need your help?'' It seemed a bit
sinister but knowing Sigrid and Hedwig, it couldn't judge a book
by the cover. Their teasing was often lined with good intentions
and for this he was thankful.

"And this is what he, Agnar and Einar are missing out on and
willfully ignore," Hedwig said as she and Sigrid escorted him
out of the room, "indeed none of this should matter. You're your
own."
"But father doesn't want to believe it," Sigrid sighed as they
reached the PC room, "he has a strict view of the world that we
must conform to... or else."
"However, we should dwell on such things," Hedwig said as they
gestured for Arvid to sit by the screen, "no, now we shall focus
on getting you together with someone."
"So, while we might not be able to find the girl you met at the
club," Sigrid said with a smile, "we can help you practice with
some anonymity."
"Online dating," Hedwig declared, "that is our suggestion for
you, brother. It should help with you... social shortcomings."

''But I've never done this sort of things. What makes you think
I won't mess this up as well?'' He felt nervous about the idea
and it showed. He was a little shaky and fidgeting at the idea
of talking with perfect strangers online. Still, he sat in the
chair. His sisters wanted to help and he would not refuse it
since it was kindly offered and maybe that was the thing he
needed to break the ice. ''Right...how's that work and how do we
do it? I rarely use the web outside of research purposes for my
books.'' Poor Arvid had never used social media or online dating
services, let alone know about them.

Both of his sisters giggled as they looked over his shoulders,
one on each side.
"That is why we do it like this," Hedwig said as Sigrid started
up the PC and started to find the site, "online you are confined
to text. Something we know you can do."
"At a later date we can upgrade to voice chat and pictures,"
Sigrid said as she backed off slightly and looked over his
shoulder again, letting Arvid take the lead, "but for now, let
us teach you how to get started on social media. First you make
the account, we know you can do that part... but then comes the
fun part."
"You'll say your interests, write some good things about you and
try to paint a picture of yourself," Hedwig said with smile,
looking forward to see how he'd do it, "from there the PC can
find people that should match you and you can go in depth if you
want."

''If you say so, sisters. But what if what I am is not
enough?''He asked worried that he'd just be a disappointment for
someone else like he was for his father. He then saw the page
opening on a social network that included dating elements,
because his sisters had chosen one for him. He Arvid filled the
basics like his age and name but then came in the personality
and description. That's where he froze, what would happen if it
wasn't enough, he had asked his sisters but the words just kept
ringing into his head louder and louder.
