       Backstory.
While many mobians flew to the aid of Sonic and his friends,
Silver took a more pacifistic route. He chose to set himself
with those who helped the handled the wounded and injured from
the fights. It sickened him that the forces of “good” focused
only on those of evil and not the common good. Families were
torn, lives were lost and bodies and minds are broken; what aid
was there? When the war finally ceased and the true rebuilding
began, Silver kept himself away, wanting nothing to do with a
society that followed the ways of the few and not the needs of
       the many.
To the Northern mountains, Silver went, away from society and
thorn ruins of Mobius. He found comfort in the silence the
mountains, the peace and quiet let him think, finding that
helping those who followed Sonic to be a mere sheep, and
certainly wasn't pleased with how they handled things. Among his
wandering he found the society of the Wolf Pack, a group who did
not directly involved themselves with the doing of the Mobians,
secluded from the world, they had focused on peace and
tranquility, but we're fierce fighters and had done their time
in the war. The Wolfpack was curious to Silver as it bore some
robian members, children and parents of those still of flesh and
blood in the pack, melding them perfectly as a whole unit.
Despite this, their Leader, a wolfess by the name of Lupe, was
against the use of technology and forbade any forms of Eggman
and even higher Mobian tech for their use, preferring to keep to
       the simpler means.
Silver learned much from the Wolfpack, he would care and tend to
the sick and injured from what he learned as a humanitarian
servant during the war, but he also started to pick up
experience with robotics and technical prowess that seemed to
amaze even him; he was good and was learning quickly how to
maintain the robian population of wolves among them. By the end
of his first year with the Pack, Silver had proved himself not
only a valuable asset but assumed the role of the pack's
Technician, a position that some thought beneficial, but Lupe
found to be steps towards the ways of technology.
Into his second year, Silver had begun to explore the ruins of
Eggmans empire. The far-reaching dictator had left behind a
trove of useful equipment and every few days Silver would
venture out into these wastes and ruins and return with
technology from them. This displeased Lupe, but Silver assured
her he needed them for keeping the Robians among them and those
with augments in good condition so they may be of use to the
pack. Lupe wasn't easy to sway but allowed it for the good of
the pack. What worried her was that, at times, Silver would
remain within his cave, working on whatever finds he had for the
benefit of the pack. Lupe had disapproved the use of technology,
such ways would only bring them closer to what Eggman had been
and was quite against any of his technology to be present among
her people, but for those who already bore the worst scares of
the war, they needed it, so she allowed only a few treasures of
these evil tools for their sake, but now Silver had begun to
grow this number and this made her uneasy. One evening, as the
autumn leaves began to fall and Silver had ventured out for more
technology, she inspected Silvers chambers, shocked to find that
he had begun building robotic components of his own. When the
wolf returned, Lupe and her leadership confronted him,
questioning his reasons for these items. Silver had said it was
to understand the construction of the mobians, to replace parts
as they deteriorated, but Lupe was against it. All life exists
and ceases to exist in time, extending such things was not their
way nor was it their option. Silver tried to explain but Lupe
was adamant and challenged him to a duel.
In the pack, disputes were settled in duels, the winner often
only needed to cause a slight injury to their opponent to win,
but Lupe was angered, and Silver knew this. Despite the canines
best efforts, Lupe had the upper hand and sliced his left arm
and pectoral, injuring him considerably before realizing what
she had done. Defeated, Silver had no choice but to cease his
exploration for new technology, and shut himself away, injury
and all, from the rest of the pack.
It took several days for Lupe to muster the courage and guilt to
apologize to Silver, in truth she had been glad he was helping
their robotic kin, but she wasn't fond of how “addicted” Silver
had become to technology that was at one point the bane of their
existence. Seeking to reconcile, she visited Silver, only to
find that he had done the unthinkable. He had removed the
injured arm completely, and with his own devices and design,
grafted a robotic arm in its place. Lupe was mortified! She had
never expected Silver to be so brash with himself. Such a taboo
act was unheard of in her community and the only punishment
fitting was banishment and exile, which is what Lupe had done.
As the winter snow fell, Silver left the Wolfpack, taking all he
could and leaving to the wastes.
As the third year passed, Silver wandered the wastes, unsure of
himself, unsure of his purpose. His augment arm worked, but it
pained him; his home and family lost, he sought answers in the
ruins once more, only to stumble upon a feline who was
scavenging for items. This feline, named Natalia, was part of a
traveling troupe of explorers and entertainers, and merchants.
Each one a unique individual, some with augments, others
complete Robians, and they welcomed Silver with open arms.
Silver traveled with the Troup, keeping his skills as a
technician to maintain the groups many augmented and robian
hosts as they ventured the wastes and ruins, coming to camps and
civilization to sell wares, services and put on shows. Silver
remained away from the customers and patrons, busying himself
with the robotic components he found comfort in. Natalia,
however, had other ideas in mind and would often drag Silver
from his hiding spots to bring him to the light. Letting him see
what has changed since the war and how life had been much more
fluid and lively with the rebuilding of society.
With a new family and a new home, Silvers views began to change.
He found comfort in Natalia's company, and the feline seemed to
know it. They would become inseparable and often get into
trouble trying to find new things to explore and do. Silver
enjoyed the felines bubbly personality and Natalia likes the
canines stately nature, they complimented one another perfectly.
This, however, would be their downfall.
One evening, Natalia came to Silver with a gem of an idea, she
had found a partially active Eggman facility near where they
camped. She hadn't thought it much, but to her curiosity, she
had taken a peek and found that many of the tech seemed to be
untouched, perhaps abandoned after the defeat of Eggman and left
to decay on its own. Silver was a little wary but would jump at
the chance at seeing functioning technology at work. The two
quickly set off to explore this newfound find, hoping to gather
useful goods to sell at the next town.
The facility was little more than a radar station, it's giant
dish serving to keep the area under watch for Eggman, but now
lying dormant with its Eggman-faced dish facing downwards and
out of service. The two would slip inside, lights glimmered
along it's exterior as they searched for a way in. Natalia,
being a rather crafty cat, found a vent which she slipped inside
and opened a door from the canine. Once they got in, the two
were shocked to find the facility on standby. Scavenging around,
the pair had begun to make excellent finds until the alarms went
       off.
Doors sealed and lights dimmed as the pair tried to escape,
suddenly, to their surprise, a dragon attacked. She was huge,
larger than even Silver. She bore no wings but made up for it
with her strength, jumping, and her very articulate tail.
Natalia engaged her fist, using her acrobatic abilities to leap
and arch over and around the dragon. Despite the size, the
drakess was slower than Natalia, which gave get the edge. As
they fought, Silver worked frantically with the computer, trying
to disable to lock down and free them before Natalia was caught
by surprise with the dragon's tail and slammed into Silver.
In the last moments of consciousness, silver saw the dragon
woman, looking down at them, she smirked as a screen flicked to
life. Eggman was rather displeased he caught “a pair of worms”
in his trap, but he was reluctant to test them on his new
       robotizer.
When Silver awoke, he could see they were not where they had
started as he looked around, finding himself inside a glass
prison with strange shackles on his arms and legs. They hummed
softly, glowing an eerie green along their centers as he looked
up, seeing Natalia already awake and struggling beside him in
another pod, trying to get free before a screen blinked to life
       in front of them.
It was Eggman, he seemed delighted to see them as his voice was
muffled by the glass. The Drakess stood nearby, observing them
as Silver suddenly felt a wave of energy coursing through him.
It was a full sensation before everything stung, his entire body
changing from flesh to machine in a matter of moments as the
screams of Natalia watching were muffled and then stopped. He
had been changed, he was no longer Silver
… he was a drone, another of Eggman's tools.
Looking at Natalia through his HUD eyes, he saw her, tears down
her cheeks as the process began for her, slowly filtering down
her arms and legs to her body before Silver's left arm moved on
its own, with a whine and flurry of motion, he broke free from
the shackle, smashing through the glass before pulling the other
shackle free from his right and throwing it hard at Natalia's
pod. The glass shattered, the robotizer process halted as he
moved, throwing Natalia aside before jolt of electricity shocked
       his form.
Natalia cried for him, calling his name, was it his? He didn't
know as his mind slowly faded, he was losing control and soon
all he could hear was his name shouted out one last time.
