Lets Dance! [Sonya & Sonic Only.]

Excitement radiating across her soft features the peppy fennec
had spent the better part of half an hour getting herself dolled
up for a truly momentous occasion. Tonight was hers and Sonics
first official date night as an exclusive couple and she wanted
everything to go perfectly. Dressed to impress in a traditional
crimson red silk ruffled flared red dress that comfortably
hugged her slender frame but still managed to stretch out and
flow near her legs thanks to the enticing slit up the side
thanks to her preparation the night before she was feeling
prepared and less in freak out mode. With a pair of jet black
platform pumps on her feet to complete the outfit and her blonde
curls spilling over with increased volume after a challenging
night spent sleeping in curlers. Her mother had been all to
happy to help style her hair for the trickier parts and between
them they’d managed to style it into submission into a
messy yet attractive bun. With two tendrils of curls falling
down to frame either side of her face, she finally felt ready as
she admired herself in her full length bedroom mirror. Giving
herself a small twirl she turned to face her mother who looked
like she’d be on the verge of tears any moment. “How
do I look?” Allowing a minute the older of the two hearts
broke out into a dazzling smile. “Honey it goes without
saying that you look absolutely stunning. I think you may send
Sonic into shock. I hope the two of you have a wonderful time
tonight!”
“Yeah well not to much wonder.” Her fathers voice
causing both women to startle in surprise she caught her mothers
affectionate eye roll and grinned in response. “D-A-D
please don’t start!” Chuckling from where he
remained leaning up against the door frame he raised his hands
in mock surrender. I'm not! but I just think it’s
important that you remind Sonic that I recently bought a
firearm, and if happens to misplace his manners tonight
I’ll be all to happy to shoot him in the face with
it.” “Carlos!” Feigning a look of innocence
the male fennec playfully addressed his wife. “You know
I’m kidding! Sort of.” Shrugging on her coat
throughout her parents exchange Sonya gave her un smudged red
lips a check over for what felt like the millionth time before
snapped her compact mirror closed, dropping it into her clutch
purse. As she attempted to make an escape for the door.
“As much as i love hearing dad make scarily none idle
threats I’m running late." From the minute she started
edging for the door she knew what was coming. “Sonya Alexa
Heart aren’t you forgetting something?” Pausing
Sonya turned round, and hurried back towards her parents to be
swept into a warm three way cuddle. "I love you guys! but
please can we put this family hug on hold? i have to go!”
Stepping out of her parents grasp, a quick waggle of her fingers
and a snatch up of Sonics tango clothing for the evening, and
she was off.

Arriving on time outside Sonics front door Sonya wasted no time
rapping her knuckles rhythmically against his door frame. As she
stamped her heels on the spot impatiently against the chill of
the evening breeze. “Blue! you know better than to keep a
lady waiting! hurry up I have a surprise for you!” Sonic
being the forgetful type she’d anticipated him probably
forgetting that he’d agreed to take her out dancing
tonight so she had clothing specially tailored for him to wear
for the occasion. He was going to love the clothing! or at least
she was hoping he would. Getting Sonic to wear clothes for
certain outings was still a work in progress.

When the red and blonde bombshell hit his doorstep Sonic's jaw
hit the floor as his eyes sparkled opening the door, for but a
moment he was lost in her eyes before he managed to pull himself
back down to Mobius, closing his mouth. The blue hedgehog
cleared his throat and leaned into the door-frame with a lax
look and slouching posture. "Sonya you look banging, who knows
play your cards right and we could be doing that by the end of
the night." He said with a cheeky wink, his cool and raspy voice
adding a charming tone to his naughty comment.
He raised an eyebrow looking into the bag she held the hedgehog
waved his hands and shook his head at the same time. "Uh huh no
way I don't do pants......They slow me down,they chafe and not
to mention they restrict movement." Listing his problems on his
digits as he carried on with his objections.

“Hey that’s my line.” Flashing her lover a
deliciously slowly smile in response to his boldly suggestive
comment about where their night could lead she brushed her plump
crimson lips ever so lightly against his own holding the kiss
for only a few brief moments before she stepped back and gave
herself a small self-satisfied twirl letting the edges of her
dress flare upward. "Your’re right there’s no
denying I look great. Which is why I can’t have you
slacking now can i?” Giving a fond shake of her head
throughout his protests, she made her way towards him her oh so
superior look not moving an inch. "Who knows what we could be
doing by the end of the night if you play your cards right
Sonic.” Purposely using his own words against him to get
her own way, she continued without faltering giving her long
lashes an 'innocent' flutter for added effect. "Besides you
wouldn’t want me to go out looking like this all on my
lonesome now would you? I mean they’re going to be some
many single mobians attending this class tonight after
all.”

After the kiss and the clever wordplay Sonic held up his hands
nodding in agreement. "Alright, I fold." He said with a smile as
he entered a rapid spin stopping when he was fully dressed
straightening up his shirt as a final touch. "If the whole
doctor thing never works out you've have a hell of a future in
negotiations." The blue hero said playfully ribbing Sonya in her
sides before swept her off her feet and blasted toward the dance
studio. Holding open the door he guided Sonya inside looking
around at the others some dressed up equally as formal as they
were and others in sweat pants and tracksuits. Feeling
overdressed for the occasion Sonic undid a few of the buttons on
his formal shirt before taking in the room. It was a rather
large wooden floored hall decorated with dancing memorabilia
ranging from ballet tiaras to break dancing trophies; Sonic gave
an impressed whistle while looking over the shimmering awards as
he thought to himself. "Well it's quite the prestigious dance
school. At least whoever is teaching us has the chops to back it
up."
When Sonya turned causing her golden curls to fall onto her
shoulders before draping down her elegant neck Sonic donned a
goofy smile loosing himself in her lovely image and that crimson
dress.

Having loved the all to familiar adrenaline rush of being swept
into her lovers arms it had ended all to soon. Head held high
and shoulders squared back she strutted her way into the dance
studio after Sonic held open the door like she didn’t have
a care in the world. Though in reality she was actually very
nervous. It was a relief to see that despite not everyone being
as formal dressed as they were there were those that had gone
the extra mile to make the same amount of effort. Flicking a
mildly judgemental eye over those who had opted for coming in
comfortable casual wear she quickly gave herself a mental slap
on the wrist for thinking that way. Glancing up at her partner
just in time to catch his affectionate goofy grin she returned
her own one in kind before she straightened up his tie and
fastened his loosened buttons back up. Her next words only soft
enough for him to pick up on. “If your shirt stays
buttoned throughout the evening I MIGHT help you loosen it later
but that’s then that’s all down to you.” Her
teasing temporarily finished she focused her attention on their
dance mentor for the evening who happened to make himself known.
“Good Evening everyone. My name is Hulio Banderas.
I’ll be showing you all the ropes tonight so I hope we can
all have some fun!” After a period of introductions and
getting to know you chatter the instructor soon had everyone
that was coupled up split off together to start on the basic
steps. Though as he strolled round the room monitoring everyone
he couldn’t help but notice one couple in particular was
struggling more than the others. Well more one half of the
couple was struggling. A knock out blonde wearing a dress that
clung to her body in all the right places presumably his date
was composed if not amused at the blue hedgehogs fumbling. But
the hedgehog not so much.. he looked like a fish fresh out of
water. If his nervous ear scratching and sloppy footwork was
anything to go by. He had correct this! weaving in and out of
other couples he came to a stop in front of pair his tone
friendly. “Hey there you two! I was doing a quick room
sweep and was wondering if you would both like some extra
support.”
