Innocence Forsaken. [ Alexa & Emerly Only.]

Her high heels clicking softly against the dusty floor a fox of
all too familiar stature strutted her way around the abandoned
space without a care in the world. She’d appointed herself a
deserved day off and with Sophie holding down the fort she had
some time to kill. Not that a this crumbling likely cockroach
infested dump would have ideally been her first choice to
whittle away her free time but she had big plans coming and she
needed to secure a base of operations that was extremely under
the radar unlike her significant other who’d been less than
discreet with where he choose she felt like she was thinking
outside the box with this shoddy place.
The only minor issue being that the design was more or a less a
maze trap layout wise which would fit in perfectly for what she
had planned but at the moment the asset was proving to be a
nuisance. Her eyesight having already adjusted to her pitch
black surroundings the blonde came to a standstill in the middle
of a room that looked like it had seen far better days. Between
the damp smell that lingered in the air to the pealing
wallpapered walls anyone lesser than her would have far to
distributed to lay eyes on the building from the outside let
alone actually wander in for the sake of quenching curiosity.
Large fluffy ears twitching slightly, the fennec made no active
moves to let her not subtle company know that they’d interrupted
her pursuing. A manicured hand placed confidently on her slender
hip she spoke into the darkness her words sinister and
unwavering. “You can come on out now, I’d like to at least get
a good look at whos throat I’m slitting.”

The little one had been wandering for sometime now, so long that
she didn't know what day it was. The day of the fire still felt
like yesterday to her. She managed on her own, going into the
city and stealing food so she wouldn't go too hungry. Grabbing
what she can, she ran to an abandoned warehouse that she found
and had been hiding away in. The debris and the crumbling
sections of this place shown that it had been forgotten long
ago. The perfect place for one such as her to reside, no home
and no place of comfort. Both were taken away from her and left
their mark on her fragile little heart, something she would
never forget because it sunk into the eight year old's mind that
she isn't allowed to have what other's her age did. With a sigh
and the creak of the door opening and closing, she made her way
to a small section in the very back of the mass building that
she made her own little home. This little bit was just a small
room that was connected to a bigger room with a single hallway.
That is where she had an hold pillow and blanket that she had
taken so she could be of some comfort on the cold concrete
ground. Being in the situation she was didn't excuse her from
taking care of herself, she made sure she had clean clothes and
body. Being small meant that she could get into places much
easier than a grown adult, she found ways to keep her hygiene up
and presentable.
After finishing the food she had, she slowly drank some water
that she had been keeping and set it next to the makeshift bed
before wiping her mouth and hands off. Time to run around and
burn off some energy while exploring, hoping to find something
new she didn't see before. The white furred girl emitted a small
red aura around her as light to help her see while in this dark
and desolate place. It may be creepy to others, but she sure
found it exciting. It may be because it was the only place that
could keep her dry and away from any predators. Well, maybe. As
she was moving around, she heard clicking of what sounded to be
heels, something that hasn't met her ears in a long while.
Deciding to find out who or what it way, the girl let the red
aura fade so she could better blend into the darkness. Being as
how she knew this place fairly well, the maze like appearance
was no issue at all, she used it to better watch the blonde. She
looked like someone who thought the girl wasn't important
enough, and this left some disdain. But the way she walked
was...different, so was the way she dressed. Twins maybe?
Suddenly though, the blonde and openly dressed older female
stopped, making the young one watch closely to what she was
doing. The way the woman stood was stern and confident, the
words she spoke in such a voice gave that a different meaning.
Swallowing hard from the cherry covered threat, the girl
composed herself to make her seem like not a crying whine-bag of
a child and stepped out of the shadows. Why try to hide any
longer if the woman knew she was there, it would only make
things worse and that is not what she wanted. She stopped in
front of the woman and stood with perfect posture, looking up at
her. "Hello, Miss."

Turning to meet a pair of strikingly crimson irises Alexa was
all to quick to mask her surprise. Here she was hoping to slit
the throat of some worthless bum and here she was confronted by
a child instead. Many a thought crossed her mind all at once but
the most prominent being was 'what’s a kid doing here by
herself? she looks pathetically scrawny but oddly well kept
considering her living conditions.’ A few moments of silence
unsettling silence passing between the two of them while Alexa
observed the youngster with open inquisitively. It was strange
because normally she wasn't the type to engage in small talk
with anyone let alone her victims, but she felt it necessary to
ask. “Hello there, what’s your name?” To the point as ever
Alexa didn’t want to drag the pleasantries on for to long before
the fun really began.

As the adult woman looked over the youngling, so too did she
study the other. It had been quite some time since she has seen
an adult face to face and not from the distance. With the
slightest tilt of her head, her little pony tail swayed to the
side as she took in the appearance and stature of the clearly
confident woman. When asked her name, she promptly answered in a
respect manner and a curtsy. "My name is Emerly Ava. I don't
have a last name. If it's alright, may I ask of your's, ma'am?"
The situation she was given did not lessen her manners, no
matter how dull she felt. Respect was always key, and always had
a place for being useful.

Well dressed and manners? It was almost a shame that she was
going to skin her. But these things happened. “Emerly now that’s
a pretty name and because you’ve taken it upon yourself to be so
polite and forthcoming I’m going to give you a five second head
start before I kill you how does that sound?”Not giving the
younger girl a chance to reply the unstable doctor slid a pocket
blade from the folds of her fur making sure that the child
before her saw as she dragged the rusty blade dangerously close
across her wrist vein letting a thin line of blood slowly
trickle down into a puddle where she stood for a couple of eerie
seconds nothing happened, and then Alexas dark blue hues glazed
over into a dark blood red her conversational smile from before
now shifting into something much more manic, as a crystallised
scythe formed from her blood began to assemble in her
outstretched hand.“1……..2……… better run along now.” There really
wasn't a personal reason as to why she was going to kill this
innocent girl it was more like an itch that she desperately
needed to scratch and this child happened to be in the wrong
place at the wrong time.

At first, it seemed to be a compliment and it may still have
been, but the last part of her sentence is what sent a chill
down the little one's back. A five second head start to run so
she's not cut down. But...this was her home now, regardless of
the area and how it looks. She didn't want to have to leave it,
but what would it matter if she was to die here? Emerly watched
the woman with curiosity, what was she doing? Seeing her cut her
wrist without so much of a flinch definitely had her more on the
worried side of things. How in the world can someone do that and
not show any signs of caring about that. Well, turns out that
was the least of her worries, a scary looking scythe was formed
from her blood. A blood crystal scythe! "That would be really
cool if she wasn't going to kill me!" The moment that the woman
started to count down and tell her to run, that's what Emerly
did. She ran! The girl turned on her heel and took off,
relatively fast for such a young thing. Knowing all the little
spots in this place would give her the advantage, but would it
be enough? Going down the corridors ever so quietly as her eyes
turned a brighter red from the adrenaline, the young girl went
into hiding in one of the upper vents of the mass warehouse in
hopes that she could at least get a higher ground to get away.
Maybe if the woman thought she had left, she would go too?

Her laughter echoing down the halls Alexa was actually true to
her word. " 3….. 4……..5. ready or not here I
come Emerly!” For fear impact purposes the demon doctor
made sure that her words rang out light and sing song like, as
she began her leisurely stroll in the direction that she’d
watched the youngster sprint off in. Twirling her weapon
artfully in her fingertips she dragged the tip along the ground,
as she sauntered along ignoring the appalling sound that soon
followed when the steel made continuous contact with the ground.
This was almost to easy granted without her blood bending
abilities exterminating this pest would have undoubtedly taken
longer, but with her blood flow roaring as loud as a fresh
running stream her confidence showed no signs of faltering as
she continued down the corridors all to aware that at this point
her concentration was key. After all without the sound of her
blood pulsing through her ears who knows how long she’d
end up searching for her otherwise.
Shaping her crimson colored lips into an o shape the demon
doctor blew air patiently through them whistling an unfamiliar
tune into the tense silence. Eventually coming to a standstill
outside the hiding places that made common sense [the
ventilation] Alexa felt a slight half smile tugging at her lips.
[i]'Clever girl, unfortunately for her not clever enough.'
Focusing on the sound of how rapidly her blood circulation
pulsing, she swung her scythe directly for the vents, if Emerly
was in there like her initiation was telling her she was then
unless she had the foresight to make a desperate crawl for it,
this was going to be over just as soon as she thought. Each time
she felt that her weapon hadn't made any connection she pulled
it out and swung again, getting more engrossed in her overly
violent version of whack amole.

With each hit into the ventilation shaft that the woman did, it
frightened the little eight year old, but wasn't going to give
up. There were just small moments where the now steel giant
weapon was in the the vents. As it got closer and closer, she
waited until it was just right in front of her. Focusing really
hard, she was able to light her hand on fire as she reached for
the blade that right under her nose. As soon as she touched, the
scythe got red hot and melted where her little hand had grabbed
it. But that wasn't all, a burst of flames ignited throughout
the vents and out of the holes that the woman had made right to
find her. Emerly jumped out of the vent and run with the red
aura around her, knowing that at the very least, it could slow
the woman down just a bit. The little one made it to on for the
rooms with boxes that were long forgotten, it was a good place
to hide or even a good place to start a fire. Now it was time to
sit wait while she caught her breath.

This brat was sure full of surprises one minute she ramming her
scythe into the vents and the next she was suppressing a hiss
that tried to escape her lips when she felt the temperature of
her weapon rise, the blood scythe temporarily disintegrating in
the jagged shaped holes she’d created they were suddenly
ablaze with flames so oppressive that if she had not taken
evasive action immediately she’d have been one charred
fox. From her peripheral vision she caught the hedgehog pest
taking off in another desperate attempt to put as much distance
between them as possible. Rationally it wasn't a bad strategy
even if she was only prolonging the inevitable Alexa quietly
handed it to her this child was sure trying. Correct in her
assumption that the fire would slow her down it wasn't long
before the cunning fox found her loophole and unfortunately for
white furred innocent she was soon right back on her heels.
Although because she was very aware that she was stronger,
faster, and obviously superior in this case she let the girl
pull ahead sure this was beginning to drag on longer than she
originally intended but she knew that killing her ultimately
would end up being far more satisfying if she allowed the hog to
think that there was a minor chance she’d be getting out
of this alive.
It was strange really while her behavior was predictable her
reactions to the reality of the situation were not. Yes
she’d ran, she’d shown fear but this was the first
time that her one of her child victims had actually made an
effort to slow her down let alone actually succeeded. Wandering
into the next room the first thing that Alexa noticed was that
it had an instantly creepy vibe about it, not that she minded
much, the area had a rustic appeal in its own way and made Zone
Prison look nicer. Between the open spaces, isolated conditions
this property was shaping up to be exactly what she needed for
what was coming. Now if only she could wrap up taking out the
unexpectedly challenging piece of trash. Folding her arms across
her chest, the impatient doctor let out a bored hum, her crimson
red orbs scanning the many boxes around the room that her
playmate was no doubt hiding in. It looked like she was going to
have to do this the stealth way.
Shaking a few drops of her blood from the wound that still
remained open near her vein, she watched the droplets stain the
floor, her devilish smirk growing wider and wider as her blood
duplicate began to form, a few brief hand motions and her
instructions were set in motion. Stepping backwards soundlessly
into a blood portal she’d summoned Alexa watched from a
higher vantage point, as her clone carried out the rest of the
work by stalking around the room for a few minutes with loud
over extravagant footsteps to draw in the youngsters attention,
the double made her exit, with the footsteps from the fake now
getting fainter and herself concealed in the shadows thanks to
her portal all Alexa had to do now was wait.

The clicks of the woman's heels coming her way rang in the
little one's ears, hoping that she would not be found out where
she was hiding. But the fact that she was now cornered in a room
with no light except for what the moon provided through the high
up barred windows, it made for an eerie scene. Fright consumed
the poor girl was she awaited to be found out. But as luck would
have it, the sound of the heels that were coming her way
stopped, and even more so, turned the direction they came until
the sound was no more. With a long sigh of relief, the girl
stood up from behind the many boxes and stretched. Thankful for
the retreat, she came out from behind her hiding place and
walked around the room, just to make sure. Nothing. At least,
she thought. She may be smart for her age, but she never thought
to look upwards, not with the trick that was pulled. She
believed the woman gave up and walked away to find her in
another one of the many rooms this mass warehouse held. Nothing
was moved the room she was in and it made her relax, maybe she
would be able to keep this place after all. Emerly let a dull
red glow emit from her so she could see better, rummaging
through the boxes in the hope that she could find other things
to make her stay here a more comfortable one. And although she
was relaxed now, she didn't let down her listening skills for if
the woman came back, she would hear those heels echoing back.
