“Don’t sorry it’s me that’s accident
prone.. I swear I’m such a mess.” Awkwardly rubbing
the back of her head Sonya decided to make a safe move and slide
her phone into the safety of her coat pocket. Feeling a little
more reassured from Violas reply she gave a small nod. “I
guess your’re right .. I mean I know that my friends
probably are coming but my anxiety can be a real pain in the
neck sometimes leave it to me to suggest an extremely busy time
though..” Seeing that she’d managed to get a laugh
out of her new acquaintance Sonya felt encouraged to keep their
conversation going further, her grin only growing wider from
Violas add ons to her teasing. “Oh certainly i’m
just that sort of person in general when it comes to those
I’m relaxed around.. I promise you boom boxing my voice in
public areas isn’t usually my go to I swear!”
Watching the purple one nervously swish her hands about Sonya
pondered for a moment or so, before making her offer.
“Well.. the lights in here are pretty and all but I
can’t let you leave here without actually getting on the
ice! What do you say? I’m sure my other friends would be
more than chill for a plus one and that way you can keep me
company in the meantime it’s a win win!” Realising
that her offer while nice probably sounded pushy to someone that
she’d only met recently, she back tracked slightly.
“Sorry if I’m sounding full on you don’t have
let me harang you into ice skating if it’s not really your
thing.” Seeing that Rouge and James were now holding hands
and heading for the ice Sonya quietly wished her friend luck.
Whatever this supposed outing was with James she certainly
looked a little more flustered than her usual, so it had to be
more than just a casual outing right?
Her blue irises now trained intently on the ice rink, she spoke
again to Viola. “I know i seem like I’m being
incredibly rude but I came here with my eight year old sister ..
and I’m just trying to make sure that I can locate her in
the ice rink swarm..” Her large fluffy ears twitching at
the same time her eyes moved, Sonya filtered carefully through
conversations until she heard her sister. “I- I
didn’t mean to knock into him I s-swear!" Hold up a minute
Louise was sounding scared? She soon found the answer as to why,
as her gaze settled on a black furred muscular female that
easily towered over her younger sibling. Her fists were
clenched, and her entire body language radiated aggression.
Getting to her feet in one swift motion, Sonya glanced back at
Viola. "I’m sorry I have to take care of something, please
excuse me.” Moving as quickly as she could, with her ice
skates on, the second she was on the ice, she was off.
Weaving with effortless ease, she followed the sounds of her
sisters stammering, just in time to hear her cry out.
“S-SONYA!” Her entire body frame stiff, as she
glided to a stop in front of the jaguar and a younger cub, she
placed her hands gently but firmly on Louises shoulders, taking
note that the younger blonde was now trembling in her arms.
[color=pink]"S-Sonya I ..i.. tried to apologise because I
slipped and accidentally knocked into a cub b-but then the lady
started to get angry with me!" Louises soft whimpering soon
beginning to turn into louder sobs, Sonya held her closer, but
made sure she looked the jaguar directly in the eyes, her
expression one of open disgust. “You were asking where
Louises guardian was weren’t you? well now you see her,
and this goes without saying but you owe my sobbing eight year
sister an apology." Her words uncharacteristically curt, Sonya
showed no signs of being fazed or intimated despite the fact
that the other female clearly outweighed her in physical
prowess.

Rouge would first step on the ice rink like a newborn fawn on
the grass for its first time walking. With trembling legs and an
unsure posture which forced her to tighten her grip on James's
hand to try to remain on her feet. But alas, even her wings
didn't help her keep her balance a soon after she would lose her
balance and would fall on the ice. The snow-white Chiroptera was
crash landing on her bottom on the cold and wet surface while
still holding her friend's hand. ''Ahh!'' She emitted a high
pitched scream before actually landing on ice. She thought that
hopefully James would have been able to release himself from her
grip and would remain on his feet or at least could help her
out. It was embarrassing but she was happy, it was different and
she liked it.

Hearing that the fennec was accident prone made her connect on
that level for sure, Vi was pretty prone herself in matter such
as those and just as easily startled, so she completely
understood. "I get it, I'm the same here, so long as you're okay
and I didn't startle you too bad. As for anxiety goes, I get
that way too. If I had more friends, I'm sure I would be worried
if I messed up or not." She put her hand up and a finger in the
air with confidence in her voice. "I'll tell you this though,
the winter months are always the busiest because of the
holidays. But you can always make room for your loved ones,
friends and family alike. They'll come and will have fun." She
didn't speak from personal experience, she only had one friend
and he was with his family. Has for her own family...that was
story book that was meant to stay shut. But she smiled a bit
when speaking of not usually yelling out in public the way she
did. "Exceptions are allowed to be made in a situation like
that. It was necessary." She said with another chuckle.
Viola listened to the invitation of actually going skating on
the ice, it made her nervous just thinking about it. And even
more so being brought into her group of friends as an extra.
That's what she needed, a chance to doom herself before anything
else. But it was a kind offer to extend to someone that she
barely knew. Then the blonde female apologized for asking,
almost made her guilty for it before she could even give an
answer. "W-well... I would take you up on that offer. But you
see... I can't stake. On ice anyway, I can roller-blade though.
Excellent, actually." She with an awkward chuckle, she swore one
could see a sweat droplet next to her head.
The purple haired female watched Sonya as she watched the rink,
making her own eyes follow suit the the area out there. "No,
you're not being rude at all. Gotta look out for little ones, I
get it." Then after she answered, her left hear twitched to the
sound of a woman scolding another, now hearing such a tiny voice
in comparison. Seeing the fennec get up like she did gave her
the answer to a question she didn't have to ask. And before she
could answer the blonde, she was on the ice.
The way this black furred jaguar spoke to the little one did not
sit well with Viola, it didn't matter if she didn't know anyone.
You absolutely do not treat a child in such a way. Vi didn't
have skates on and the people who were in charge would just have
to deal with it. Luckily, she modified her boots to deal with
slippery surfaces, such as ice. So walking on it was a piece of
cake, and that's just what the woman did. Vi made her way to
Sonya and her little sister, standing next to them but in such a
way that she kept the girl from being in the path of the black
furred one. "I think it would be best for you to own up to your
rude behavior. She's just a small child on slippery ice trying
to have fun. Accidents happen, no need to make everyone else
have a terrible time because you can't get into the forgiven
spirit of the holidays." Viola then bent down to look at the
younger of the two siblings and gave her a small smile. "Hey
little one, would you like to get some hot chocolate and a fresh
funnel cake? I'm sure you need a little warm yourself up with
from having fun on the ice. Your sister can come and have too.
I'll pay for it, my treat." She was hoping that this would calm
the smaller one down and make her happy again, she hated seeing
children cry.

With how focused Sebastian was on keeping up with her sister, he
was completely oblivious to what happened around him, which came
back to bite him as he was blindsided by a little duckling which
caused them both to fall over with a yelp. This in turn made
Sabine come to a screeching hold and looked back at them. This
wasn't good and Seb knew it as he raised a hand to try and stop
her as the duckling tried to apologize. But it didn't matter, he
could see from how Sabine was tensed up that she was already on
the warpath as she sped towards them.
"You got quite a bit of nerve kid, if you think i will let you
get away with that!" Sabine snapped as she reached them and
glared at the little girl, not caring for the girl's attempts at
apologizing, "why are you here alone anyway, where's your
guardian?!"
As it turned out, she didn't have to wait long as a small fennec
fox came running over to help the little duckling and demand
that Sabine apologized to the girl. Which only earned a raised
eyebrow from the agitated jaguar. That demand was just absurd.
"Is that so? Because i would say you should keep a closer eye on
the one you're watching over so she doesn't do such things to
begin with," she spat back, although she was slightly perplexed
by the fact that fox didn't seem faced by the fact that she
could snap the woman in half. Then there was issue of the
hedgehog that decided to join in, "stay out of this purple. Or i
promise you that you'll remember in the hospital bed after i've
broken your arm."
"Um... s- sister, please, calm down," Sebastian tried only to
fall silent from the threat Sabine made, she was already beyond
recovery from him until she cooled off a bit. Instead he
carefully tried to skate over to the duckling, who was
apparently named Louise, "um... if it is any... consolation... i
don't hold it against you. It was a mistake. My sister she's...
she's just quick to conclude things and very- very aggressive. I
am sorry."

As James had said, they we're both equally bad at this and while
James did try to pull her back up as she fell, he too was
incredibly unstable and it just ended as one would've predicted
and he too lost his footing and fell when he tried to pull Rouge
up, falling on top of her and making up the other part of the
"X" their crash had formed.
It was short lived though as James quickly got up on his knees
to avoid hurting Rouge and offered her a hand to get back up.
Needless to say, he was blushing at this embarrassment but he
still ended up cracking a little smile and chuckled, "guess i
was right, wasn't i?"

Rouge had a hearty chuckle out of their fall and seeing James
blush was worth the pain of falling on ice. She clumsily tried
to get back up with James's hand and this time was stable enough
to actually slide across the ice while dragging him along.
Again, it was a clumsy attempt but it was worth the risk of
falling again. ''I never expected this to be fun, I mean I never
skated before which doesn't help.'' She was happy and it was
obvious with the light shade of pink that appeared on her cheeks
but this time there was no nervous feelings, just happiness. She
kept holding his hand and didn't seem to be wanting to let go.
Perhaps they would both learn how to skate together.
''Maybe we could go for something else than coffee next time,
let's imagine for a second. I don't know a movie perhaps? I
heard there was some decent flick that got out recently.''It was
now her turn to make an awkward attempt at inviting him for an
outing.

The jaguars petty reaction causing Sonya to feel further
defensive in that moment she had a clear visual of how out of
hand this situation could get if she let gradually rising anger
explode. Seeing how un ashamed she was of her behaviour it was
actually pitiful really. Counting backwards from ten in her head
she got to about six before she managed to calm herself down all
thoughts of shouting, screaming, or any kinds of aggression now
put on the back burner she forced herself to sound a lot more
civil in her next reply. “She has a name and for your
information I do keep an eye on my sister I knew exactly where
she was within this ice rink and what she was doing, which is
more than I can say for you making laps around the ice rink with
barely a backwards glance to the cub you came here with today so
how about we stop the talk about which one of us should be
keeping a closer eye on our younger company I mean right now all
your’re doing is making yourself look like a hot headed
hypocrite.”
Her expression remaining carefully neutral while the jungle cat
growled threat. She calmly interrupted. “You won’t be breaking
any bones today and if you continue behaving the way you are
I’ll quite happily make sure that your’re removed from the ice
rink on the grounds of causing a public disruption and lets not
forget that making threats about causing bodily comes under
intimidation crime.. “ Fixing the other female with a
'sympathetic' smile Sonya continued.“Now I don’t want to cause
you any trouble miss but verbal threats are kind of a big deal
.. and I’m afraid that if you want to continue speaking without
much consideration for the consequences things will not end up
turning out well for you although if you were to lets say
apologise to Louise here for not behaving the way a fully grown
adult should and apologise to my new friend here for your
clearly empty handed threat about bodily harm then I’m sure I
could let you off with a warning, after all I would hate to have
to put someone in a jail cell so close to the holidays. Princess
Sally and King Max hate bullies so personally I know which
option I’d rather pick if i were you.”
Still gently clinging and half hiding behind her older sisters
new friend, the duckling sniffed a little but listened to what
the smaller of the cats had to say. Her voice coming out a lot
more timid than it’s usual she spoke softly. “I..i’m glad you
don’t hold it against me.. again I’m sorry I bumped into you..
and made your sister mad.. i-I’m still learning.” Turning her
tiny face upwards to gaze into warm emerald green irises, it
didn’t take the young duckling long to perk up at the offer of
hot chocolate and fresh funnel cake. Her tear stained face
breaking out into a wider smile, she piped up.
[color=pink][b]“That would be great miss.. er.. miss.. it’s nice
to meet you! I’m Louise! My sister has such nice friends..”

Viola's ears flicked when the black furred female referred to
her as purple, and with a threat to boot. A small growl rumbled
her throat, but it wasn't heard. How dare she threaten such a
thing, especially in front of small children. She's earn herself
a blackened eye if it wasn't for Vi keeping her actions down for
the sake of the littles. Viola decided to keep her smart remarks
to herself for the most part as Sonya took control of the
situation in a much more calmer way that she would have herself.
She seemed more calm when it came to confrontations and that was
a very good thing, something Viola lacked at times. But given
that there were children here, it was much easier for the purple
haired one to behave, regardless of such actions from others.
She listened to the subtle threats that Sonya gave the larger in
comparison woman, making her wonder just what kind of
connections the fennec fox had. Curious indeed. She stood her
ground well too, for her sister, so that was pretty impressive
considering who she was talking to. However, Viola was taken off
guard by meaning spoken of as 'my new friend'. It felt nice.
Really nice to know that maybe she can make friends here in the
city. -Don't get ahead of yourself Vi, it's just her being
polite for standing up with her for her little sister.- She told
herself.
Speaking of littles, she heard the smaller cat comes up to the
duckling and apologize for the incident and her older sibling.
That made Vi to look over she shoulder at the jaguar. "Well, at
least the cub is very mature for his age, I'm impressed." She
stated, it was meant to be a subtle hit to the female who wasn't
acting near as mature as the younger. But the young duckling
caught Vi's attention again as she looked down at her with the
same smile as before. In fact, it grew much more when seeing the
little one smile wide and change her emotions to a happier one.
"It's nice to meet you too, little one. My name is Viola, but
you can call me Vi, if it's easier. All my friends calls me
that." Except the only friend she had was Micheal. Well,
actually, maybe Sonya was her friend now too? Louise seems to
think so. "You know..." Viola looked to the smaller cat now. "It
would be awful rude of me to offer to buy warm drink and food
without offering it to others. Would you like to join us? I'm
sure you would enjoy something warm in your belly too, so long
as your sister is okay with it?" She asked as she looked up at
the black furred woman, maybe to help Sonya calm the situation
and help the littles back into a happy and cheerful mood.

"If you're going to make those kinds of accusations, i suggest
you take a look at all the facts," Sabine answered back, now
starting to get really pissed, "i've not been making laps while
barely keeping an eye on my brother, i have tried to teach him
to skate and just stayed slightly ahead to encourage him. At
least i haven't left him to his own devices."
That was when the fox threatened her back with prison for her
actions on the base of committing intimidation crimes, which was
arguably one of the first times someone had stood up to her and
threatened to take her to court for her actions in such a
manner. She actually found it kinda funny that the little one
had enough spine to do so. But then she had to call her threats
into question which wiped all that away.
"Is that so? You're going to be to do a civil arrest? On whose
authority might i ask?" she sneered before cracking her
knuckles, still utterly ignoring anything but the fox in
question, "and you can rest assured that i don't make empty
threats. Keep going like that and i will make sure to prove it
on her and you. I suggest you pick your next words carefully."
Sebastian seemed to be a bit embarrassed as Viola complimented
him on how mature he was. It wasn't the first time he had been
forced to explain why her sister was... special.
"Um... m- maybe. Although my sister tells me never to talk to
strangers," he trailed in response to the offer, "i- i kinda
want to... but i am not allowed to unless she gives me...
permission. And she ain't really paying attention us. She tends
to get... i think it's called tunnel-vision."

James kept on smiling once he saw that Rouge was still happy and
then tried to keep up with her as she gently lead him along,
although he was still like a fawn on ice.
"I suppose that is something good then," James answered her as
they got going. He did notice the pink hue her cheeks had but
once again it passed over his head. Her question about going to
the movies did distract him a bit and made him fall on his butt
from lack of focus, "um.. i- maybe? we- can't we discuss that
over the coffee afterwards? I- i am trying to focus on not
falling over."
