Heroines Assemble! [Please ask prior to joining the thread.]
By: EternalPeace Date: November 20, 2018, 6:41 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
[WARNING: There will be blood and gore]
Pacing back and forth restlessly at a discreet enough distance
and safely out of sight from the apparent multiple hostage
location the anxious fennec was torn between wanting to scream
or wanting to cry. What had she been thinking trying to chase a
lead this large by herself?! She wasn’t take charge like Sally
or as fierce as Amy, and yet she’d gone ahead and dug herself
into a hole that was now way to steep for her to climb out of
she’d known that something wasn’t right for weeks call it an
inkling but the increased rate of young mobians that had gone
missing as of late wasn’t chocking up to a coincidence anymore
children of different ages vanishing from their homes without a
trace it was odd and then among the latest batch of the children
missing t her younger sister Louise had gone with them and that
had been the end of her not matters into her own hands.
She wanted to know exactly what was going on but so far all
she’d seen that was really strange from a visual perspective was
the fact that the children that were missing in each batch had
all somehow found themselves heading towards the same abandoned
building in question at the same time without fail, with the
same far away glazed over expressions plastered over each of
their faces all of them steadily single file each time her
sister included they were all moving but it appeared to be
trance like unrealistic sleepwalking like.. only all their eyes
were wide open. It was freaky.. horror film of freaky and she
intended to put a stop to whatever was happening in there one
way or another. However she knew that it would hardly be wise to
charge in there firstly without a solid plan figured out but
also if she were going to pull this off successfully she was
going to need help which is why she’d reached out to people that
she knew she could trust.
Although a large part of her fretted that maybe she was asking a
lot from her friends after all Amy was still in the process of
recovering from her own personal traumas, Maria she barely knew
the other medic girl and had only met her very recently because
of a business call that her and her father had made to her
clinic that hadn’t exactly gone brilliantly, Mallow she very was
friendly with .. but were they friends? that she wasn’t entirely
sure of yet, and Rouge.. after the way things had ended during
their last encountered at her club Sonya felt a wave of sadness
clench at her heart, as a worrisome thought weighed heavy on her
brain. ‘What if Rouge hates you completely now and doesn’t
bother showing up?’ Fear slowly beginning to grip her heart, she
placed her hands on her knees, crouching over to try and force
oxygen through her lungs, and ignore the rest of the toxic
thoughts that tried to flood in. ‘What if none of them show up
and your’re left all alone like you deserve you pathetic excuse
for a HERO…” Eyes squeezing shut, Sonya felt her legs tremble
with terrified weakness but instead of succumbing to her fears
she allowed a few moments to pass, before she forced herself to
come to her senses.
Now wasn't the time for her to be falling apart there were
children that needed her in there Louise was waiting for her and
she wasn't leaving without every single child that was trapped
in there even if that meant she'd be doing this by herself. Her
trembling gradually subsiding the more she focused on her
breathing, Sonya slowly stood herself back up to full height her
expression one of fierce determination. She wasn't going to be
in this alone, she knew it no matter what her friends were going
through or whatever differences she was having with them what
Sonya knew for fact was that as long as her friends knew that
she needed their help that's exactly what they were going to
come and give her without question.
This was sure going to turn into a bad day for the villains.

By: Maria Hawkins Date: November 21, 2018, 3:15 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Maria was beside herself with despair, more so than she normally
was at least. She had heard of these kidnappings and feared that
Felicity, the young cat she had living with her after learning
she was an orphan, would be on the list of victims. She had made
sure to keep an eye on her whenever possible and made her
promise to ignore strangers and not go outside without her
supervision unless she was at the school and yet... now her
nightmare scenario had come true. Felicity was taken and she was
at a loss of what to do.
She had heard about the connecting trend and exhausted her
knowledge of medical conditions, but as had suspected, she
didn't come up with anything. She didn't know enough about that
kind of neurological disorders. Her experience was limited to
dealing with trauma. She had called the authorities and they
were looking into it and had been doing so since day one, but
their hands were tied for the time being. Thus, she was at a
loss.
That was when she was given another option. She had gotten from
a woman named Sonya, a fellow medic who had acted tried to talk
business with her. Those talks had ended quickly though. If
Doctor Quack wanted her to sell her clinic and come work for
him, he could come and talk with her himself. She wasn't given
up her shot at redemption... or taking up a spot for a more
qualified medic.
This time it was different though. Now she had asked her to come
and meet with her and join a little group she was forming to
help her look into these kidnappings without the police being
needed. Circumventing the law and any need for legal clearances
due to being under less media scrutiny.
She had been very hesitant. She had tried taking an active role
in something before, the war, and that ended with her deserting
at the first sign of actual defeat. How could she go back into
something like this with people associated with the group that
picked up the slack after the official army was crush? She
couldn't... she simply couldn't face their judgement, however...
this was children who risked losing their one chance at a normal
life. Felicity included. The poor cat had suffered enough with
the loss of her parents. She had to do something.
Reluctantly, she pulled out her old suitcase and started to
dress up in her old uniform. Combat fatigues and boots, her
white surgery gloves, her harness with pouches and single use
needles, and finally, her old sub-machine gun to finish the set
off. She had hoped to never wear it again.
After filling her needles with the various drugs she normally
used, she went for the final ace. A nanobot serum, the last
sample there was in existence at least to her knowledge,
although she had managed to save the schematics when she
deserted... which meant she was a thief to boot. She shuddered
looking at it, but brought it along regardless. She couldn't
risk not having it with her.
With all that finally settled, she took a final deep breath and
locked up her clinic. Then she walked off to the meeting point,
her heart threatening to explode from anxiety and fear.

By: Rouge The Bat Date: November 21, 2018, 4:14 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, the bat was pacing back and forth in her domicile.
Sonya had left her messages on her phone and even text messages.
She hadn't talked to her since Halloween, and although she
wanted to call her back she was still mad. She wanted to
distract herself from her phone and turned on the television and
on the news, there was another crisis. ''How tragic, leave the
hero take care of it. It's not like anyone could share the
spotlight at this point with all the supers running around.''
She said in a cynical tone until she looked at her phone again.
It was Sonya, again and this time she read the message to
realize that Sonya was going to head into danger to play the
hero.'' Wh...ugh! Fine, I guess I'll have to play hero. You know
I can't refuse anything to you...''Rouge while reading the text
message which caused her to feel a pang. But what if that blue
idiot came along to save the day? these were the kind of
thoughts that crossed Rouge's mind but time was limited and she
didn't want to waste another second.
The bat rushed to the scene flying as fast as she could despite
the fact that she didn't want to go but she felt guilt-ridden.
She hadn't been fair to her friend and shouldn't have been so
quick to get angry. But then again, she brought this upon
herself or this is what she was telling herself. Usually,
leaving home to reach this particular destination would have
taken her 20 minutes, but she made it 8. She landed gracefully
after she found the fennec and slowly walked to her. She was
still hesitant but now wasn't the time to argue or to be mean.
''I take you're in a desperate situation to play the hero and
that all o.....no I am sorry...Forget I've said
anything.''Despite her best efforts she couldn't overcome her
anger but remained still. ''Just tell me what's the situation
and whose face I have to crush. You know I am not playing hero
but oh well...let's dot it I guess.''She was visibly reluctant
but she secretly was happy to see her friend again even if her
pride took a hit on Halloween.

By: Amy Rose Hedgehog Date: November 21, 2018, 10:00 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
When Amy had received the text, she was getting a home visit
from her physical therapist for a checkup on her mobility in her
legs. “You're doing great, Amy. Just a few more reps and then we
should be done.” Mallow said, keeping an eye on his patient's
movements. He nodded to himself as he made a few notes in his
record book and then glanced over when her phone went off.
“Sorry, I thought I turned this off.” Amy said, grabbing it and
was about to shut it down when she saw who it was from and
opened it. Her eyes widened and she shivered. Something was
wrong. Very wrong. “Mr. LeLapin.” She said as she put her phone
away. “You fought in the Infinity War. I remember you from that
time.”
It was then that Mallow got a message as well and checked his
smartwatch. 'Hm? Quack's daughter?' he touched the message and
read it quickly then frowned at the distressed message. “I
haven't gotten rusty from that battle, nor from being a Freedom
Fighter.” He said, looking up at the pink hedgehog, and gestured
to her phone. “From Sonya Heart?”
Amy nodded. “I can feel something is very wrong. Do you have
battle gear to change into? I'll take us to the location.”
Mallow thought a moment. “I might have something in my car. May
I use your bathroom to change?”
“Of course.” She said, already heading up the stares to get her
battle suit. She activated it and changed its mode to night
mode, turning the colors in the suit black. When she came down
the stairs, Mallow had changed out of his hospital uniform and
into casual wear with a black jacket he zipped up to his chin.
“Ready?”
The rabbit nodded. “I'll drive.”
As they rode together, Amy sat in the passenger seat, choosing
to use that time to meditate and become more in tune with her
sixth sense and with the magic that called her hammers, once
again trying to connect to that golden gavel, however, it wasn't
answering her calls. She had a feeling that she would need it on
this mission.
When they arrived finally, she was in complete Freedom Fighter
mode. She exited the car and closed the doors quietly, then made
her way over with Mallow to the group. “Sonya.” Amy said softly,
giving her friend a hug. “We got here as soon as we could. Give
me a rundown of the situation.”
Mallow looked around at the scenary, his ears turned and
twitched as he focused his hearing on their surroundings,
listening for any unwanted guests.

---------------------------------------------------------
Allowing herself a moment to be wrapped in the comfort of Amys
hug Sonya forced back the tears that tried to well up in her
blue irises. Using the few brief moments of embrace as a cover
for composure by the time she stepped back from the pink
hedgehog to address the group directly she to was in Freedom
Fighter mode all with not an ounce of breaking point in sight.
There had all come just as she knew they would but now she was
going to have to be realistic with them she was willing to risk
her life on this supposed suicide mission but it wasn’t
fair of her to expect the same of them not like this and so what
that that in mind she took a quiet breath and began her speech
in a tone that was quiet but not quiet enough for those
listening not hear her surveying the group with an expression of
uncharacteristic indifference.
“OK here’s what I know is going on for the past
couple of months young mobian children have been disappearing
from their homes orphanage children included it’s been a
pretty random pattern but it’s gotten to a point where all
of the groups of children that are missing it’s not
coincidence any more for whatever reason these children are
being predominantly targeted for reasons I haven’t been
able to discover yet .. but what i have noticed is that every
single child that’s gone missing so far they all end up
coming here without fail from what I’ve seen when
previously tailing other groups of children it’s strange
it’s almost like they’re under a trance but at the
same time they’re not there are all fully aware of
what’s happening to them I can see the confusion the
terror the uncertainty in their eyes and yet they still carry on
into the supposed meeting place unable to speak struggle or have
any free will of their own but their minds are there whoever is
using this power on them it’s dark and it’s
dangerous it's not like anything i've encountered before."
"I’m going to be honest with you all I don’t know
fully what we’re going up against and there is a high
chance that if you all agree to help me today that your’re
not going to make it out of this." Her large fluffy ears pinning
backwards against her head, Sonya steadily continued.
“Under normal circumstances I wouldn’t ask this of
any of you but this time I don’t have a choice.”
Producing her wallet with a flourish she flicked it open to a
small picture of her and Louise eyes shining, faces squished
close together it actually hadn’t been taken that long ago
they had been having a sister day together and in truth it had
been one of the most care free days Sonya had experienced in a
long while getting to ride the tea cups, sharing candyfloss,
seeing the local circus, Louise had loved it. They took the
picture towards the end of the evening with the wind whipping
ferociously through her fur and Louises features the weight of
her sisters tiny arms around her neck, as they pressed their
faces close struggling to withhold extreme amounts of candyfloss
induced giggling fits all the while.
The little ducklings words had tickled softly against her ear
and melted her heart. “I love you Sonya, thank you for the
best day…” That seemed like a life time ago now.
Tearing herself away from the memory, the medic put her focus
back into the present, unaware that her cheeks were now damp
with tears, but her next words remained unwavering. “You
see this duckling? you all probably know who she is so I
don’t really need to explain much but for those of you
that don’t know who she is this is Louise my sister
she’s seven kind, creative, funny, and about the most
wonderful person in the world to me and last week she was among
the latest batch of orphanage children that went missing in
connection with this place she’s in there somewhere and I
intend to find her.” Locking her gaze straight for Rouge
she responded to the not to subtle dig from her currently mad
friend. Yes Rouge if wanting to save the one member of my family
who doesn’t think I’m a disappointment makes me
desperate to play hero then I guess that's a gold star earned
for you.”
Regretting her sarcastic comment as soon as it left her mouth,
Sonya fixed the bat with a genuinely apologetic look knowing
that it wasn't actually Rouge that she was angry at, before she
moved onto her final say. “Listen what I’m asking of
you all is a lot so I understand if this is as far as any of you
go but I’m doing this without or without anyones help. So
anyone that isn't alright with what's about to happen i won't
hold it against any of you if you decide to leave now."

By: Maria Hawkins Date: November 22, 2018, 8:41 am
---------------------------------------------------------
To say Maria felt outclassed was an understatement as she looked
around to the others Sonya had reached out to. All of them
exceeding her ability by several factors. She figured the main
reason she had been called in was that she had a more personal
reason to go rather than it being based on her skill set.
She recognized most of them, though that was mainly from seeing
them in things like newspapers and on the TV. Apart from that
she had no ties to them.
For that reason she just stood in the back and listened to what
Sonya had to say about what she had found and what she was
expected. None of it helped her feel more confident. It just
made her want to turn tail and run. Hell, she was given the
option by the fox once she had finished up. She agreed that it
sounded like a textbook suicide mission and she would no doubt
add a bigger risk to the whole thing by her mere presence. It
was how it usually had gone when she went to front. However, as
she dared to look towards the door, she ended up forcing herself
to remain with them. She would never forgive herself if she left
Fliss hanging.
"Maria, you'd never let anyone hurt me, right?" echoed in her
head. Those were the last words Fliss had asked her day before
she vanished. Maria had been reading her a bedtime story when
she asked the question and there was really only one answer she
could give the kitten.
"Never, i would never let it happen," she had answered to
comfort the kitten.
"You promise?" Fliss had asked with her tiny ears flattened,
"there're some bad people out there."
"I promise," she had smiled in return, "you live with me now. I
am your guardian."
"You're my family," Fliss had purred in response and then
drifted off the sleep.
Maria shook her head and focused on the present. She couldn't
leave her be after promising her to keep her safe. She
couldn't... and she wouldn't. She never made promises if she
knew she couldn't keep them. Therefore she remained with them,
even if she wasn't really determined more than she was fearing
letting Fliss down more than death.

''Now that we're done out sassing and being passive aggressive
at each other, you've said you had no idea what we're going to
face? Allow me to go, scout, I'm a spy, not a superhero. If
anyone has any objection against this course of action say it
now or remain silent.''Said the bat as she sore above the ground
to remain aloft until she receives a confirmation that she could
go in the form of silence or the objection of her new makeshift
suicide squad.
The bat wasn't pleased with how Sonya snapped at her but she had
deserved this one. ''Before I go gather some information about
the situation and the enemy, what are your specialities before
you head right into danger and your names? I don't feel like
calling 'hey' or 'you' during the mission.'' She said turning on
her wrist communicator and plugged her earpiece into her left
ear. Knowing that it was possibly dangerous, she brought a few
gadgets in case it would become too dire.

Amy was horrified at what had been occurring around her, but now
that Sonya mentioned it, she had been hearing about missing
cases on the news. “You don't have to worry, Sonya. I'm not
about to back out of this. We will save those children.” She
stated then looked at Rouge as the white bat took on the
obligation of being the scout for the group, and asked them
about their specialities and names. “Well, allow me to go first
then. I'm Amy Rose, I'm a Freedom Fighter veteran, I've fought
armies of killer robots, aliens, and numerous villains. There is
no obstetrical that can stand against me and my hammers. Feel
free to just call me Rose. One syllable is faster than two.” She
said, magically summoning her piko hammer to her hand.
---
When Mallow heard nothing so far and returned his attention to
the group. “My name is Mallow LeLapin. I'm a physical therapist
for the hospital. I know the anatomy of almost all Mobian races
and where their crippling points are. My legs are very strong
and my kicks have shattered many swatbots in my time as a
Freedom Fighter. I've also really good hearing and smell.” He
said, hoping that helped. He was alright to follow instruction
or do his own thing if they needed to divide and conquer. “Might
I make a suggestion, though. I believe it would be wise to do
the buddy system. As you said, we don't know what we're walking
into, but it would be best if we don't keep ourselves in one big
group like this if we are going to charge headfirst, it would be
easier for them to take us out.”

Maria remained silent as she listened to Amy and Mallow explain
what they were good at and sighed to herself. It was now even
more clear to her that she was out of her league. But that was
nothing new to her and as stated prior she couldn't leave in
good conscious. So instead she turned to face Rouge and took a
deep breath.
"I- i am Maria Hawkins," she stated with a shaky salute, "i- i
am a former combat medic. I- i am reasonably competent at
stabilizing patients until they can be seen by a proper doctor
and i am well-versed in chemistry. I- i am qualified for GP and
i have access to a large variety of performance-enhancing drugs
for when a unnatural boost is- is needed. Fi- finally, i can use
a gun... b- but don't count on the marksmanship. I never got
incredibly proficient at it."
It was clear from her shaky voice and pose that she might have
been with the army but her nerves weren't exactly hardened as
she stood there and tried to remain calm.

Listening patiently as the other members of the group shared
their names and specialities Sonya took note that Maria seemed
the most nervous out of all of them so far which led her to give
the does shoulder a brief but encouraging squeeze for her public
speaking efforts. The fennec emphasised easily with the frailer
female and knew all to well how daunting trying to open up to
strangers could be. Waiting until she was sure Maria was
finished Sonya placed a casual but subtly confident hand on her
hip while she answered Rouges question.“My name is Sonya
Heart. i’m a field physician for the hospital and i
specialise in various forms of first aid alongside basic life
support which is a form of medical care that i can use on people
who have life threatening illnesses or injuries, i may not look
like the strongest as far as physicality goes but for what i
lack in strength i make up for in agility, during my time as a
Freedom Fighter I've been pretty proficient at handling my own
against robots and other threats of variety.” Nodding in
agreement with Mallow she followed up on the suggestion.
“Your’re right.. from what I’ve gathered so
far whoever is behind this has been planning this for a long
time but us on the other hand we’re not prepared for this
we can’t afford to make ill judgement here.”
