Re: The First Employee [Reck & Sabine]

"Alright, i can certainly do that," Sabine nodded as she stood
next to him while he inspected the robots wiring. This was
indeed way over her head to even try and make sense off. So
instead she just reached for the welding gun and passed it to
him, "sure, here you go."

Once Reck got the rear casing in place. He lowered his welding
helmet and motioned for Sabine to do the same. The porcupine
sets four tack welds at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 positions. This will
hold the piece in place while he does the main weld. Reck starts
the main weld at the twelve. Slowly he brought the gun from one
connection weld to the next. Sparks and slag fly at The
porcupine while he welds. At the halfway point Reck turns off
the welder and lifts his mask to wipe his brow. The heat off the
welder was intense. The porcupine's hand had a slight blue glow.
He was using ice magic to cool down quickly. "Is the heat
bothering you, Sabine? There are bottles of water in the fridge
upstairs if you want one." The porcupine lowers his helmet
again. Reck coughs under his mask before starting back the to
the weld.

Sabine did as she was gestured to and watched as Reck commenced
the welding. It mostly made her think back to one of her past
short lived jobs. Nothing more, and it still made just as much
sense. That is to say, none.
"A bit, but i am used to sweating," she answered with a slight
nod while mirroring the gesture of wiping the sweat from her
forehead, "i can grab one when i head home... or if you need a
break. I can stay down here until then."

The porcupine slowly finished up the last of his weld. Slowly he
looks around the edges of his weld, checking for any
imperfections. Reck wasn't the best welder, but the only way to
get better was to work at it. The weld was rough and he would
definitly have to smooth it out with a grinder. After he
finished looking it over, he could tell with out a doubt it was
better than his last weld. The porcupine lifted his hood. From
his pocket he pulled a pack of cigarettes. Lighting one he
sighs. Welding is tedious work, but it came with the job. You
can't build or fix robots with out a little welding skill. The
porcupine rubbed his arm as he smoked. Some of the welding slag
had hit his arm and he didn't notice when it happend. It
definitly stung him now. The burn spot was deep in his skin. It
would heal, he would just have to keep it treated. It's not the
first time this had happend to him. "If you would be so kind to
go grab those waters, Sabine. When you get back, I'll need your
help attaching the arms."

"I can do that," Sabine nodded and turned to leave, "give me a
moment."
She quickly went upstairs and came back down with two bottles in
hand as she tossed one to Reck, "so, what do i need to do? Hold
the arm in place or something?"
