[Arc Finale: Tails' Workshop] Where Ends Meet
By: Miles Date: November 5, 2018, 3:35 am
---------------------------------------------------------
The walk to Tails' Workshop seemed like forever to the trying
crew despite it being a rather short one, but in time, they
would finally reach it. Tails, whilst holding one of his arms
with the other thanks to the nasty new scratch he had, would go
to open the door but then remembered it was still gone thanks to
Ty's earlier actions of shoving it off it's hinges. Sighing
lightly, knowing it would have to eventually also be fixed, yet
another thing to add to his ever-growing list, he instead opted
to stand aside and let everyone else wander on in first before
him. Polite as ever, Tails welcomed each one in, even Sapphire
as she passed by, her exhausted metal parts heaving and hissing
from strain.
Once everyone was in, Tails counted them to make sure they
weren't missing anyone before facing everyone, standing beside
Sapphire upfront near his main work desk. Pointing to an
odd-looking machine with a large tube in the far left hand
corner of the workshop, Tails began to speak "Over there is the
de-robotosizer, it will need time to power up to full, otherwise
the process won't be full and complete for when she enters it,
which would just cause us more problems then we already have."
The fox would take in a deep breath, knowing full well how
dangerous all of this could turn out to be. Derobotosization
itself was risky, but on someone as sick as Sapphire seemed to
be? He didn't want to think too hard on just how risky it truly
was, "We should not get her in either until it's both fully
ready, and we have some sort of doctor in the room, since we
have no way of telling just how sick she is until she's
derobotosized" He'd run a hand through his hair tufts before
continuing, beginning to truly feel the heat of the weight on
his shoulders. "I'm going to go ahead and start up the machine,
if she lashes out before it's booted up, I will need all of you
to help in protecting it, if it gets destroyed, the only chance
to turn her back will be gone and we'll be back to square one.
That is not a free pass to hurt her however, doing so will just
render this entire mission pointless, if you even for a second
wish to bring her any harm, please show yourself out" The weight
was heavy, but he'd do his best!
"That being said, we'll need to clear the space before we get
started, so-" Fumbling his thumb to a button he had on the wall
by the door, once pressed the room began to shift and the
majority of Tails' work benches either got cleared of tools,
which stacked back onto their shelves before disappearing down
below the floor like the rest of the tables aside from a few
which looked more useful as medical tables at the moment then
workbenches. "Something good to come from the war if you will,
was fitting out the workshop as a medical bay for those who
needed it, thought it'd be best to keep it around even after and
through all those rebuilds, since it's proven itself so handy"
With that done, Tails would wander over to the de-robotosizer
and would begin to get is started up.

Having arrived on the scene just in time to see Tails welcoming
the rest of the group into his workshop she fell swiftly into
the step with the others her anxiety about the situation
transparent across her dainty features. At least thanks to Amys
call she was here albeit extremely late but better late than not
at all right? Taking in the sight of Tails dishevelled
appearance she felt her insides churn. Ears flickering
throughout the entirety of Tails speech she willed herself to
remain calm, panic and personal guilt for having clearly missed
so much here could come afterwards. Taking a quiet inhale and
exhale Sonya stepped herself forward, politely clearing her
throat to let Tails know that the doctor part of this plan was
accounted for. Her blue irises displaying nothing but open
curiosity for the startlingly strikingly familiar robian before
her she found herself adjusting her tone of voice to much softer
levels when addressing the clearly traumatised individual
directly while she made moderate steps towards her but at a pace
that wouldn't cause her unease.
“Hi there.. it’s a pleasure to meet you I’m
Doctor Sonya, i’m going to do my best to help you
don’t you worry.” Relieved that Tails had thought
ahead with the aid of medical benches and a clear space that
didn’t leave much else for her and everyone else to do
other than what was expected of them. Her attention once again
shifted to the mysterious female, for reasons unknown she felt
her stomach squeeze for reasons that she didn’t place as
anxiety related. “No one is going to hurt you I
promise.” She'd never been more certain on such a fact.

For the most part, the robot remained quiet, holding onto one
arm as she held them to her front, casting her gaze to the side
as she just did her best to follow along like what was asked.
Despite being robotic she had a lot of anxious thoughts going on
right now in her head. What if this didn't work? What if this
only made things worse? Can she really be saved? Was she worth
saving.
Her metal boots would make gentle thuds every time she took
steps forward, and eventually the sound just made her close her
eyes, wishing for it to go away as it just served as a painful
reminder to her. When they would finally reach the workshop, she
opened her eyes again when standing next to Tails, she had this
deep look of guilt on her face while also seeming to try her
best to hold back more of that odd liquid from before. She would
let Tails speak without any interruptions, and watched as the
room formed around her and the others into a more medical room
scene. She tried not to let it show, but this in itself caused
some anxiety to rise and she'd move a metal hand over her chest,
taking a slight step backwards as the fox went to get the
de-robotosizer started up.
She seemed to relax a bit though hearing a rather soft voice
spoke up, she turned to look and see a Fennec Fox addressing
her, introducing herself to the robot. Hearing Sonya say she
would do her best to help her reassured the hybrid bot a fair
bit, deep down, she knew why she trusted this fox, but right now
she couldn't quite recall why. After what Sonya said next, the
robot moved forwards and placed her cold arms around the fox in
a sort of comforted hug. [sub][shadow=blue, right][I trust you,
you can do it][/shadow] [/sub]She'd mumble, saying anything too
loud would just ark up her sickness again and she knew it, so
would talking for too long, so sadly she couldn't say too much
to the fennec, but she hoped what she had said would suffice.
"Sonya! You made it! Thank gosh" Sapphire wasn't alone in being
glad to see the doctor either, while the fox was busy getting
the machine booted up, he always had time to make friends feel
welcome. He also kept the chaos emerald box close by him, as he
wasn't about to just let them fall into just anyone's hands.
"If you guys could just keep her calm, maybe even find out more
on the situation of her sickness, but do that for a bit while I
get this ready, that would be fantastic, if any of you are
injured, there's plenty of supplies around for you all to use,
just make sure there's plenty for our Doc Sonya to use when she
might need it"
While Tails did that, Sapphire hugged one arm looking a bit out
of place and uncomfortable. [sub][shadow=blue, right][Where are
the others?][/shadow] [/sub] She'd ask softly, referring to
Robin, Caroline and the others, although one could argue she
already knew where they where, was some form of memory
malfunctioning at play here? Would it be wise to answer her
questions carefully from now on to avoid stressing her out
before Tails was done? It was all up to the team now.

Harbouring nothing but empathy for the robian her brief
reassurance was enough to quell the more toxic thoughts in her
mind, at least temporarily. Judging from the way the female was
holding herself it was obvious that she was processing a lot of
different emotions at once, and quite rightfully so.
Understanding that saying to much could prove detrimental to
her at this point, she choose not to push her instead simply
embracing her back for as long as she felt comfortable. Her next
words quiet but clear. “Thank you .. your’re going to be just
fine little one.. your’re more than worth saving got that?” Call
it a hunch but Sonya had a tendency for putting herself in other
peoples shoes. Ears flickering, Sonya turned her attention
towards Tails, a genuine smile tugging across her lips. “Of
course I did! I’m sorry I’m late .. if you could fill me in on
everything that i missed that would really be a help I’m not
used to being this far out of this loop.”
Rubbing the back of her head in a slightly awkward manner, the
female then proceeded to add onto what was said in regards to
medical welfare. “Like Tails said they’re plenty of medical
supplies for you all to utilise if your’re injured but please
don’t hesitate to come to me also, I will help anyone that’s
more severe and needs it.” Her large ears once again twitching
as the female spoke, she turned her focus back towards her, her
tone gentle but a little stern. [b]“Please try and save your
energy for now okay?.." Slowly she offered out a blue gloved
hand, for the robian to hold as a means of short term comfort.

The ride was as uncomfortable as he had imagined, though it
barely mattered as Petrov exited the trunk and reached for his
rifle. Now to see how this would all turn out.
Sadly, it would appear the fox didn't want anyone with the
intent to harm the little rust-bucket inside the shed. Not that
stung deep for him, no, if anything he now had an excuse to try
and figure out how to pull this scheme of his off. Standing just
outside the door, he started to weigh his options once again.
Sadly, just like last time, the variables caused by the presence
of the rest left it too inconclusive if he could pull it off and
get away with it. He had little doubt he could blast the little
robian apart with a single bullet. However, there was little
reason to hunt something if you didn't live to brag about it.
Furthermore, there was a new arrival, a doctor that seemed to be
recognized by Tails. Just brilliant. One more variable and who
knew what else could happen.
As he sat there and pondered his situation an unusual thought
came into his head, should he call this hunt off? It would seem
that the others weren't going to leave again until it was over
and if he was going to do it, he would put his life on the line.
Needless to say this was a very bad gamble with all the odds
stacked against him. Therefore calling it off and silently
admitting defeat was a possibility at this point. But for now,
he could just sit and observe. Patience was a virtue and maybe
the right moment was still waiting for him... even if it looked
impossible at this point.

The detective followed. Noticing the door he asked. “What
happened to the door? On second thought that is something for
later.” He decided that if they have to wait anyway he could do
a bit of searching in the police database. So he went back to
his car to get something.
Miss Sonya made herself known so he gave a light bow saying
professionally. “Hello there miss Sonya if you excuse me I am
going to get something from my car if that is alright.” He
continued outside to his car only to return minutes later with a
laptop.
Tails asked if they could figure more out about her illness the
detective replied while keeping a professional tone with. “I was
actually planning on asking about the symptoms to see if I can
search for them in the police database, but the girl seems more
comfortable around miss Sonya so maybe it is beter if she asked
those questions while i just listened to the answers.” He then
sit down on a chair somewhere close. The first thing he searched
for were the words: chaos, emerald, illness. He answered the
robian’s question saying calmly with a smile. ”Where they are
precisely, I don’t know but I am sure they are fine.”
The doctor said that she would treat them when needed. The
detective replied with. “Thanks for the offer but i don’t think
that is necessary, right now helping her is more important.
Even though he did keep one eye on the tiger he paid more
attention to his laptop. Because finding more out about that
illness is more important.

When Amy finally arrived at the lab with those that came with
her, she killed the engine and hopped out. Entering the lab, she
scanned the room and then kept her distance from what was
happening with the robian. She frowned at the whole situation,
nothing was clear and she didn't like being in the dark.
However, questions would have to wait until this poor creature
was healed, then perhaps she would get her answers. In the
meantime, the pink hedgehog would be present in the room, ready
to be called upon for any task Tails would like to give her.

Re: [Arc Finale: Tails' Workshop] Where Ends Meet
By: Cello Date: November 26, 2018, 4:58 am
---------------------------------------------------------
The avian made her way over to Tails’ workshop by foot – despite
already mentioning that she preferred to fly when a lift was
offered earlier – but truthfully the reason why she hadn’t taken
to the skies was to stay close to Sapphire and Tails. While she
genuinely wanted to help Sapphire as much as possible, she also
felt an obligation and loyalty to Tails to watch out for him
even more so. Not that he wasn’t capable – Cello knew full well
there was so much he could do that she couldn’t – but it was
something she felt like what a good friend would do.
As she entered the workshop she cast the Fox a concerned grimace
after a quick glance at the recent injury which had been
afflicted upon him earlier. For now he seemed to be okay and as
ever the feathered Mobian listened to every word and
acknowledged with a nod before making her way over to stand
beside Sapphire.
Maybe it was the way her body posture was or the more obvious
retreating step when the Robotosizer started up, Cello offered a
small smile to the anxious Robian and extended an open palm
towards her, “If you want, you can hold my hand. I’m here for
you.” she said softly, trying to be reassuring it was then she
noticed the doctor enter and introduce herself. A sigh of relief
escaped from the beak of the bird with a slight whistle,
stepping back a little so as to not get in the way when Sapphire
had moved in for a hug.
For now things seemed to be buzzing and moving along smoothly,
plus with the blue Robian already preoccupied with Sonya, Tentei
and with what is yet to come, Cello didn’t want to risk
overwhelming the situation by directly contributing to it and
opted to be an extra set of eyes and ‘ears’ for now. That is of
course, until she just remembered something and quickly pulled
out her phone from her pocket. After several swipes and taps a
message was sent to a friend she had parted with just earlier
that day,
[font=courier][She’s back here and safe. Hope all is well for
you.][/font]

If she could reach, Sapphire would place a metal hand on Sonya's
shoulder in a reassuring sort of way, she didn't say anything
but she gave her metal head a gentle understanding nod. She
wanted to tell the fox that if things didn't end up the way they
wanted them to, to not blame herself for it, but right now she
didn't have time for any thoughts about not making it. She had
to make it. When Sonya offered her gloved hand, the robian took
it and gave it a gentle squeeze, thankful for her attempt to
comfort her.
Tails, while still working on the machine began to try and
answer Sonya's question on filling her in, to the best of his
ability. "Well let's see..." He scratched just behind his ear,
"I'll try and summarize it best I can, the others can add in
what they'd like to, if they think it'll help. Basically, this
young lady was running rampant in the city, with some help from
Sonic, we managed to get her docile enough to bring her here,
she doesn't seem to be alone on this whole situation though. She
seems to be someone who was robotosized, but is sick at the same
time, probably was before being robotosized even, but that
sickness seems to have morphed into a virus instead. I have no
idea who she is I've never seen her before, but it's clear she
needs our help and Sonic seemed pretty persistent in ensuring
her safety"
When Tentei asked about the door Tails would give a light huff,
"A buff wolf didn't know how to knock and punched it down
instead" At least the detective's manners were better then the
last time.
"For her symptoms, she's shown leaking at the eyes and mouth of
an odd fluid my machine cant pick up on but they show traces of
chaos energy, that fluid has since changed to black, she's been
shaking too. Not sure if we'll have illnesses down for robots
though, who knows how different it is for her to handle when she
is organic"
Sapphire gave Tentei a thankful expression for a robot after he
answered honestly about the others, she still worried though but
at least she could trust he would be honest.
When Cello offered that she could also hold her hand, Sapphire
took it with her spare hand. [shadow=blue, right][sub][Don't let
me hurt you][/sub][/shadow] She'd say anxiously, implying it to
both Sonya and Cello since they were currently closest, she
trusted them but she did not yet trust herself.
For now she seemed to stay fine, she continued to leak the now
black liquid from her eyes and the corner of her mouth and
constantly tried to wipe it away when she had a hand free,
blinking them out as though they were almost tear-like. If the
team wanted to plan something, or ask anything, now would
probably be the best time to figure things out with the robot.

Feeling the weight of the hedgehog girls claw on her shoulder
Sonya felt the knots of anxiety that were currently twisting
tighter and tighter loosen if only briefly. Though the robian
spoke no words the medic knew that she had understood every
word. A lump of intense sadness suddenly rising thick and fast
in throat the anxious medic couldn’t stop the dark
thoughts from overpowering her in the moment. ‘If she
doesn’t make it I’m never going to forgive myself..
no. This isn’t the time to be thinking like that.’
Yes they were up against unforeseeable odds and things
weren’t in their favour but this was far from over. She
wasn’t alone in this and with the knowledge she already
possessed and the support of everyone else around her there was
still going to be time to turn the tides she was sure of it.
Snapping herself back into focus when she felt the robotic
female give her outstretched hand a squeeze she offered her a
warm smile. Ears flickering she glanced towards Tails patiently
listening while he went about filling her in. “She seems
to be someone who was robotosized, but is sick at the same time,
probably was before being robotosized even, but that sickness
seems to have morphed into a virus instead.” Her brows
furrowing at this particular mention she soon smoothed her
expression over as he went on to helpfully explain the females
symptoms. “Understood. Thank you for filling in the blanks
for me Tails.” In truth even with his explanation there
was still a lot she wanted to ask, but there would be plenty of
time for that after all of this was solved. Her large fluffy
ears twitching, at Sapphires anxious. [Don't let me hurt you]
she couldn’t understand why but in that moment seeing the
robian this way hearing her speak out of a place of such fear
such vulnerability it tore her heart out. Anguish coursing her
veins like a rush of ice water for a moment she could only stare
blankly, before she gathered her bearings enough to reassure the
robian. Applying as much pressure as she dared to her cold
metallic claw she kept her tone gentle. “Don’t
worry, we trust you.” Though her words were short and
sweet they carried a heavy amount of faith in her.
The fennecs own sky blue irises subconsciously beginning to brim
with tears at the sight of the black liquid seeping from her
own. She dabbed her eyes dry quickly not wanting the robian to
see her upset. She had an idea and she wasn’t sure how
much it would be with the hedgehog in her current state but if
she was willing she was going to try. Fixing Cello with a look
that she hoped conveyed her good intentions for the individual
in-between them, she released her hand, hurrying over to one of
the empty medical bay beds. After a few minutes of almost
frantic and yet precise preparation on her end she spoke again
to the robot hedgehog. “With your consent I’m going
to attempt a procedure that should at best temporarily ease some
of the virus symptoms that Tails listed but if your’re not
comfortable with this that’s okay we can all find a
different way to help. I just want to do as much as I can to
help you at the moment.”
