Appearance:
Much like her Mobius counterpart, Sofia tends to dress modestly
regardless of conditions. While isn’t as self conscious as
Maria, she just prefers it that way. She’s confident that she
doesn’t need it to look good. Thus, she has taken to wear a
basic complement of pants and long sleeved shirt when not on
job, at which point she changes to the white coat and protective
gear. It should also be noted that she is slightly more muscular
than Maria.
Weapon of choice:
Sofia is a decent shot with pistols and submachine guns.
However, she prefers to fight with her fists or melee weapons.
This is mainly because she is no stranger to subduing her
patients in a... rougher way than should be allowed.
Preferred combat tactic:
“Let’s make sure you know what you did is wrong.”
Sofia is a thorough combatant and will make sure her opponent is
either completely dead, if ordered to, or fully subdued
otherwise so there is no room for error. This does make her more
prone to staying there until the end rather than run away. In
fact, retreat is outright disgusting to her.
Personality:
To put it bluntly, Sofia is everything Maria hoped she could be,
even if it is turned up to 11 out of 5. She is extremely
confident in her abilities and doesn’t shy away from anything,
opting to go into things without fear and remaining composed
regardless of the conditions involved. She is however, also very
blunt in how she does her work. She is also ruthless when
patients object to her procedures. Prone to resorting to brute
force to make them lie still if the drugs are deemed to slow.
To add more issues into it all, her confidence is will into the
realm of overconfidence. She believes herself to be borderline
infalible within her field of work and while she certainly is
skilled, she is doesn’t believe that she can fail when she puts
her mind to it and will be quick to suppress and failures and
sweep them under the rug.
Two good things to come out of it however, is that: one, is that
she is incredibly thorough and will make sure that she leaves as
little to chance as possible. Two, she can be counted on to do
her duties in the medical ward without causing excessive pain to
her patients. This is due to her considering it a waste of time,
in stark contrast to her boss, Alexa.
Speaking of Alexa, the two are rather close, with Sofia being
Alexa’s second in command. The strange thing is that Sofia seems
to let her composure fall ever so slightly in her presence and
act more normal with her. Much in the same way that Alexa is
observed interacting with her.
In return for this, Sofia serves Alexa dutifully as a worker and
friend, having said that she would happily kill for her if need
be. Whether she has made good on that promise or not is
something she isn’t keen on telling.
Combat abilities:
Abilities:
Paralysis - In the event of a patient resisting or making a
break for it, Sofia has found it useful to carry several doses
of paralyzing toxins on her person for use in her stim pistol.
It functions as a very effective tranquilizer, able to have the
target lying on the ground and unable to move in less than a
minute depending on how fast the blood flow is.
Anesthetics - As it is her specialty, Sofia always carries
anesthetics for use at her discretion. Not much need to be said,
it knocks them out cold and impairs everything within them,
including cardiovascular systems. Thus, if she is desperate, she
could just apply the anesthesia and leave them for dead, since
without proper medication and monitoring they are dead.
Poison - Should the need arise, Sofia is also equipped for
actual killing with the use of poison. It’s a slower poison,
however, unless examined by a doctor, it’s impossible to detect
from the outside to an observer. The effects are nothing to
scuff at though, as the poison starts to cause internal damage
in order to kill the target. Usually by the time the target has
it examined it’s already too late.
Stim-pistol - A prototype she was issued in the past, this
little beauty uses pressurized gas to send a little hypo flying
at the target, letting her apply medicine from a distance.
Passives:
Vital Targeting - Much like Maria, Sofia knows a lot about the
mobian body and is a master at targeting the weak spots, even
more if she is in close quarters. Suffice it to say, she can
make her hits count for more than one would think.
Perfectionist - Sofia doesn’t settle for anything less than
perfection. Therefore she is prone to hanging around for longer
to make sure the procedure is complete, her target is dealt with
accordingly etc. This also means she makes sure to look
everywhere to make sure she doesn’t miss anything.
Deceptive strength - While she is more muscled than her Mobius
counterpart, it's not letting on to how much power she can pack
into her punches and kicks. She claims she has subdue mobians
with super-strength. Though if it her exaggerating or not is
unknown. However, patients do report her grip to be very firm.
Weaknesses:
Overconfidence - Sofia’s overconfidence in her own skill is
without a doubt her biggest weakness as calling her skill into
question or drawing attention to past failures is a fast way to
draw her attention and keep if one keeps on bringing it up. It
is also a quick way to goad her into fighting since she doesn’t
consider losing a probable option.
Perfectionist - While she is highly efficient at her practiced
fields, her obsession with perfection can easily also play
against her because she spends too much time with the details,
meaning she is easy to corner without someone that can snap her
out of it. If not, well, having her cutting herself off from the
rest isn’t uncommon for her.
Uncaring - With her unreal ability to keep her composure
regardless of circumstances, she can easily end up acting
uncaring and unpleasant in the face of pain and suffering. As it
of this can sorta be traced to her boss and her tendencies as
they have desensitized her to the suffering of others. This
however, extends to everyone, and while she will be there for
Alexa, pain isn’t something that means anything to her anymore.
