Apprehensive Encounters. [Sonya, Lux, & Scourge Only.]

[i]Another eight hour shift finished up for the evening the
fennec shrugged herself absent mindedly into her autumn coat, as
she wandered from the ever charged atmosphere of Mobius’s
longest standing and now only remaining hospital. A small yawn
escaping her lips, she allowed herself a moment to breathe,
taking comfort in her self taught coping mechanisms for anxiety
that threatened to send her over the edge, allowing her eyes to
flutter closed, the next few moments that followed were filled
with very little beyond the barely audible sound of her running
through her routine breathing exercises, her fingertips
unclenching, she straightened her posture, concentrating
thoroughly on her surroundings. Large fluffy ears weaving around
furiously in the breeze, to any other outsider she probably just
looked like she was taking a much breather, after a stressful
day on the job but whoever was watching her right now probably
knew better, she was onto them faux composure or not, every bone
in her body was screeching at her with alarming clarity that
something bad was going to happen.
Under ordinary circumstances she would have put this feeling
down to simply being her anxiety being worse than usual, but it
was more than that. All day she’d felt on edge, like for reasons
unknown that there was a reason she needed to be on her guard,
and when it came to her sixth sense it usually hit the nail on
the hammer, and if how strongly her fight/flight response was
submerging her now, this was another one of those spot on
accuracy times. This wasn’t her pursuers first rodeo and if she
had to guess they were probably waiting for her self-control to
shatter, for the panic to set in, they wanted her to run. ‘If I
run at stage I’ll just make myself look substandard and
distrustful, as worried as I feel .. I can’t run, not yet keep
the illusion of calm Sonya.. this person can only do so much in
the open.’ Eyes snapping open, the blonde slid one hand into her
coat pocket, before casually retrieving her ipod, ear phones
connected, she gently placed both the apple buds inside her
ears, before sliding her ipod back into it’s original nesting
place, as she set off into the night at a forced leisurely pace,
‘none the wiser.’ Trying her best to cover up her anxiety about
being followed, the female started to sing softly under her
breath, while she continued her stroll, her steadily sung words
being the only sound that filled the otherwise eerie silence.
"I'm a survivor! i'm not going to give up! i'm going to make
it!" The irony of her song choice certainly wasn't lost on her.

Quietly, waiting in the background was an unknown stranger who
had his sights set on getting information from her. He had made
one encounter with her before but now? As no one else she knew
was near the hunter would have his chance to find out what she
knew. Moving at the same even pace as her, his foot steps being
as quiet as a feather falling as he continued following the
fennec, keeping a close eye on her as to not lose track of where
she was going.
[font=courier]"... You can't hide your secrets for long child...
that thing running around this zone needs to be taken in... and
you're the only one with heavy information on him so far... and
you'll be giving me that information soon enough."[/font]
The stranger thought to himself, continuing to follow the
fennec. He knew already that either one of two things would
happen once they met face to face... either he would get the
information he was looking for. Otherwise, he would need to
resort to much more cruel and violent methods of getting every
last drop of information out of her. He would get his payday
soon. One way or another.

[i]Her suspicions about her found stalker now more confirmed
than ever the wheels began to turn quickly in the fennecs mind
she couldn’t just keep wandering aimlessly she needed a
plan. If this guy was who she thought he was, the situation was
probably going to escalate sooner rather than later. One brief
run in with the obnoxious apparent bounty hunter was enough, but
it looked like he just didn’t want to be done with her
yet. Her stomach churning uncontrollably, the fennec was all to
aware that the male was tracking her as stealthily as possible,
and for all he knew she was completely oblivious, she wanted to
keep it that way for the time being. Increasing her pace
slightly, the skittish fennec soon began to steer herself away
from the main street paths, purposely deciding to take the
situation down a more dangerous route, as she lead the male into
the woodlands. Not entirely brilliant for her .. but this
impulsive plan of hers was tailored more to making sure that
they would end up as far away from innocent mobians as possible.
Not that she wanted to assume that this ‘talk’ would
turn violent in that way, but if it did at least she knew that
no one would be at risk. Not stopping until she was certain that
they were deep enough into their new surroundings, Sonyas whole
demeanour was stiff, she didn’t appreciate his method of
handling things and she was done with playing dumb about it.
Casting a side glance into the gloom, the fennec called out
timidly. "Um .. can i help you?" She knew what he wanted 'help'
with but she figured playing for time was the smartest secondary
move, defensive behaviour on her end would only fuel his scarily
accurate assumption more.

Already the stranger following her had stopped no more than a
few inches away from her. Twas that same honey badger that had
questioned her before not too long ago and from the looks of
things he wasn't going to wait any longer to get answers from
her and was adamant about doing so. He simply looked down
towards her, a dispassionate visage upon his face as he finally
spoke up.
[font=courier]"Miss... we still need to talk... this can't be
put off any longer than it has been... either the information is
given... or things will begin to get lethal... I rather this be
handled as morally sound as possible but if you aren't willing
to help... then we will have a problem."[/font]
He spoke quietly and calmly, showing no signs of hostility...
yet. He only wanted to get the intel that only she would have
and handle his assignment as quietly as possible without
drawing any unneeded attention from everyone. The honey badger
simply waited for her to speak, knowing she would already refuse
to do so. Still, he would wait and see how things played out and
whether or not she would comply.

[i] Her personal space soon cut short, instinctively the teeny
fox took a couple of steps backwards making sure to keep her
expression neutral the whole time, despite the fact that her
heart rate had now accelerated to uncomfortable rates. He
didn’t sound hostile and so far he showed no signs of
wanting to cause her any harm, but the medic knew that this
reasonable charade would come to an end the instant it became
apparent that she wouldn’t be telling him a thing about
the green hedgehog who currently held her affections. Letting a
few silent minutes to pass, Sonya weighed up her limited amount
of options, now she knew that if she outright refused to tell
him anything now that things would no doubt take a turn for the
worst, and after eight hours of running around tending to the
sick and wounded she was weary, she was tired, and most
alarmingly in this state her abilities sans her blood bending
wouldn’t be nearly as effective. She was in trouble, she
had to keep stalling, try and rebuild her energy manually it
wasn’t like she could take a pause for a meditation
session now. Fiddling with the fury cuffs of her pink parka
coat, the female spoke. "Sure listen I don’t want any
trouble..” His threat causing the panic in her chest to
flare, she felt herself re actively clenching her fists.“I
should warn you threatening me won’t get you very
far.”

that seems to have actual critical information on who it is I'm
looking for. You know as well as anyone the consequences of
letting that outzoner from [color=limegreen]Moebius run free and
start causing havoc. He needs to be taken in.... please. I'm
only doing my job. And if you're going to compromise that then
you are doing more harm then good, putting the people of this
zone at risk of being harmed or much, MUCH worse. I ask
again.... please. What do you know about the one named
Scourge?"[/font][/color]
He had that same dispassionate expression on his face still. He
wasn't wrong though. Given the nature of the green hedgehogs
actions and his ruthless approach he wasn't saying anything
false. Still he simply waited, leaning against one of the trees,
patiently waiting for what she would have to say. All he could
imagine was continuous refusal from the fennec but either way he
wouldn't leave her be until she said what she knew. He could
wait. Twas not the first roundabout he had with trying to get
information on outzoners running amok in various zones and
causing trouble for everyone there.

[i] She’d be lying to herself if she didn’t at least faintly
acknowledge that his good cop routine was starting to get under
her skin. Who the hell did this rag tag bounty hunter think he
was? Preaching to her of all people about the importance of
others safety. She was a Freedom Fighter for crying out loud!
protecting the innocents of Mobius was literally her living, and
yet this badge had the nerve to stand around giving her the
third degree like she was the one that couldn’t be trusted. As
much as she was itching to tell this guy exactly what she
thought of him she knew that simply loosing her calm wasn’t
going to do her any favours either. He was already suspicious of
her enough as things stood, she needed to derail him and fast.
Fixing on her most earnest expression, the female met his gaze,
before she spoke. "Listen all I can tell you about Scourge is
that in truth NO ONE knows a lot about him myself included, he’s
a mystery that I would rather not solve the most I know about
him is that he’s Sonics evil twin for the anti-zone.. the and
the only reason I have any recognition of him now is because he
happened to burn down the local orphanage awhile back, killing
the majority of my hospital co-workers.. so excuse me for not
being able to forget something like that."

Scourge needs to be put back behind bars. One way or another...
and what I don't get is this... if what you say is true... then
answer me one simple question? Why when I presented

He brought up the odd looking arm brace on his left arm. A small
cylinder about 2 inches in length appearing before he flicked it
onto the ground. A hologram of Scourge's wanted poster and
arrest warrant appearing in full view.
[font=courier]"Why was it that out of everyone that was shown
this. Out of everyone that was presented this wanted sign....
why was that YOU were the first one to react in such a way that
seemed almost like panic? As if you didn't want to see that
hedgehog's face on that wanted sign in any way, shape or form...
why did you seem to be the only one to give a fearful response
knowing I was looking for him?"[/font]
He narrowed his eyes at her, wondering what her response would
be. Already he had been digging in very deep as it as, getting
closer and closer as he could to getting an answer.

[i] "I'm going to take a wild guess and assume something
rather... crazy if you will........ You're infatuated with him,
aren't you?" Now that sentence alone made her feel like all the
oxygen had been knocked out of her. Was she really that
transparent to read right now? She didn’t see how. Part of her
profession centred around being able to convincingly mask her
true emotions, for the best interest of the patients loved ones
naturally, but she could honesty say that the part of job that
required her to tell mistruths to save people more pain short
term wasn’t her favourite method of public handling, and the
feeling of guilt she experienced after always had a tendency to
linger. It was funny how this time round while she did feel
guilt for lying it was no where near as intense. No lying wasn’t
right in any circumstance and this wasn’t her proudest moment,
but she wasn’t just lying for the sake of it, she was trying to
protect the hedgehog that she’d developed feelings for and she
knew that in their case this wasn’t just a one sided deal, their
chemistry was mutually overwhelming. His final words to her
prior to her departure weeks earlier echoed in her
head,instinctively causing her heart rate to rapidly increase.
"Just leave, if you try anything with a kiss or a hug involved I
won't let you leave.’ ‘I've come to....care...no.....love...nuh
huh not quite there yet........’ You couldn’t just say things
like that without any genuine meaning behind them.
Her mind already made up, the fennec braced herself. “I don’t
know what you’re talking about but if you think I’m going to
keep standing here listening to you make implications and
accusations without any solid proof on your end then you’re
wrong! infatuated with him that’s ridiculous! I’m sorry but I’m
finished here.” Tactfully ignoring his more direct enquires, the
fennec pulled her coat tighter around herself, before she made
an attempt to dodge past the honey badger. Her rising anxiety
however was giving her a heavy hint that her defiance wouldn’t
come easy.

The green menace marched boldly out into the streets with the
buckles on his worn leather jacket clattered as he adjusted the
strap of the duffle bag that was slung over his shoulder. He
smiled seeing Sonya but his sharp tooth grin soon faded as he
saw some creature towering over her. Scourge glared dropping the
bag causing it to make a loud squelching sound, whatever was in
that bag had the stench of rotting flesh about it. Placing
himself between his squeeze and this creature Scourge barked
loudly and obnoxiously. "Yo Faggot! This here is my girl and I
don't like other people touching my property. I'll tell you what
I'm in a good mood today so I'll let you go. Go on get outta
here and consider it your lucky day."
Acting totally dismissive of the brute before him the villain
knelt down and unzipped the bag to reveal several severed heads
already ripe with fly larva and wicked cuts. "Every enemy of
mine that could pose a threat to you is now taking a dirt nap.
What say you and me head back to the hideout and catch up? I'm
looking forward to hearing how you've been." He told the tiny
fox with a big goofy sharp toothed grin. Something about Sonya
brought out genuine affection in Scourge and he was very happy
when he looked down at her wrists to see they weren't nearly as
bad as when he left. Glancing up seeing that thing was still
there he clicked his fingers before pointing down the road.
"What are you stupid or something? I'm letting you walk! LEAVE!"
