Vanguard the Demon Spawn.

NAME: Thomas Carthage Porcupine (formally)
Vangaurd the Demon Spawn
Age: 170
Height 4'6"
Appearance
Vangaurd is a red mobian. He has scales where his fur used to
be. A long flowing tail with a pointed tail. A strange wing of
magic floating off of his body. Two yellow horns one off the
sides of his head. His ears end in an angled bend. A symbol of
great magical meaning on his chest. He wears a pair of blue
pants with red zigzags down the front and back of both legs.
Personality
In life Thomas was a wicked man. After the change he's just as
wicked. He is a brilliant minded and super strong magician.
Because of this he has gotten arrogant. He has been known to
kill those who bother him on the spot. He truely believes he
cannot die.
Story
Thomas was born in an early settlement within Marble Hill Zone.
A decendant of a family of magicians. He learned magic under his
father and grandfather. After years of practice he became a
powerful healer. This didn't please Thomas he wanted more out of
life. He went before his father demanding that they use their
magic to rule over the land they called home. His father told
him that magic was a dangerous thing and misuse would ruin them.
At this time his grandfather was very ill. With an illness
incurable by magic. Thomas did the unbelievable. He snuck into
his grandfathers home. Stealing his grandfathers spellbook. His
father was furious. The fact that his own son would steal his
fathers spellbook. A book that has been handed down from father
to son upon the father's passing. Thomas called his father weak.
Believing that traditions were a waste of time, and a waste of
his talent. Thomas challenged his father to a magic battle.
Thomas' father losing his life.
A few months later Thomas had all of Marble Hill under his rule.
Forcing people to pay him taxes along with a portion of their
yearly crop. In this time he forced a woman to be his wife. If
you asked him what her name was. Thomas would only shrug. He
knew nothing about the woman, or the people he ruled. Years
passed under his tyranny. His wife after giving birth to twins,
daughter and son. Thomas started training his son in the arts of
magic. The son never excelling in magic. This fact angered
Thomas. His rule worsened.
The mobians of Marble Hill grew tired of his rule. His wife led
a revolution against him. They drug Thomas out of his house in
the middle of the night. Thomas was hanged in the settlement
square. For his last words he cast a spell. The spell created a
clay body . His soul was transfered into the body. His spellbook
was hidden away by the people of the town.
With his new body Thomas decided he need a new name. He called
himself Vanguard. Vanguard temporarily reclaimed his town.
Eventually word spread to other settlements. The other
settlements sent a man. They claimed him a priest. The priest
called him the Spawn of a demon. The priest used his power to
seal Vanguard away in a staff. The staff was moved far from
Marble Hill. He still lives but he can do no damage.
He sensed the reawakening of his spellbook. When one of his
bloodline, Reck, found the spellbook. He now waits for the day
he is free. To reclaim his spellbook and take revenge.
Abilities
Flight: Using his magic Vanguard is granted flight with little
limitations. He can not fly too high because his body doesn't do
well in the cold.
Regeneration: Vanguards body is made of clay if it takes damage
it can regrow. If his body takes too much damage his
regeneration will be slowed.
Magic: Vanguard has control of a great deal of magical
abilities. His aura is a grey color. His magic is mana focused.
He gets his mana from the planet. If he uses his spells too much
he can excede his mana input. Causing him to temporarily loose
his magic.
Demon Form
If Vanguard manages to get his hands on his old spellbook. He
will gain an emense power boost and an altered form. He will
grow to be a Dragon of european decent with no wings. His arms
much bigger than his hind legs. A long narrow head with spikes
down the neck.
Weakness
Cold: Vanguards clay body slows at colder temperatures. At
temeperatures too low his body will freeze.
Clay Body: Vanguards clay body is pretty brittle making it easy
to damage. It does dampen the pain he feels.
Relationship
Reck the porcupine: A decendant of Vanguard's bloodline. He
knows nothing about Reck. Outside that Reck is the holder of his
spellbook.
