Princess Sally "Alicia" Acorn
By: Riene Date: September 9, 2018, 12:40 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Name: Princess Sally Alicia Acorn
Nicknames: Commonly goes by 'Alicia' these days. Almost nobody
calls her Sally anymore due to how uncomfortable she is with
that name. Those closer to her may refer to her as "Ally" for
short.
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Species: Ground-squirrel/chipmunk mix
Personality: She's still retained her wits, but is
psychologically merged with Mecha Sally, post-war. As a result,
she outwardly appears very calm, quiet, concise, and taciturn in
most situations; preferring to observe her surroundings before
acting. She has an eerie, well-spoken politeness about her that
wasn't initially there; the result of her programming and
inability to remember much else, and can occasionally be known
to speak robotically. Especially when stressed.
But, she acts fairly detached most of the time. She has
difficulty feeling emotions with the same intensity she used to
and when she finally does, they're very difficult to control.
She also lacks the trained decorum and social skills she was
taught as a child. She's observant, but often blunt and lacks
much understanding of social context. She simply doesn't
understand Mobian emotions well enough to be astute in this,
yet.
But she's learning again. Despite her demeanor, the old Sally's
capacity for empathy towards others still rings true. Despite
her attempts to distance herself, she's ironically made many
friends while recovering from the traumatic incident that made
her who she is. She still suffers intense guilt from being Mecha
Sally and inwardly fears herself for the sake of others. She'd
have been more than content with being locked away in the
medical facility she was assigned to indefinitely if it meant
hurting no one else. Though, to her surprise and perhaps, slight
discomfort, fate had other plans for her upon her release...
Powers and abilities:
Although lacking in any supernatural ability of her own, Sally's
biggest strength has always been her mind. thanks to her
education, training, and to a degree, Eggman's programming, she
is, at least hypothetically, able to push both her mind and body
far beyond the limits of the average mobian.
High Accuracy: Her mind sometimes goes on autopilot with this,
but as Mecha Sally she was able to calculate how much force will
perform what and all the probable directions an opponent can
take within seconds. Although deroboticized, she still
maintained this ability.
Limited Mechanical skills: She can tap into Mecha Sally's
programming to learn the schematics of various technical
constructs, but can only build or repair what was programmed in
her mind to understand. She's not like Rotor or Tails in the
sense she can easily invent new things. She only knows how to
work with older, Robotnik model constructs and the occasional
automobile.
Advanced martial arts and acrobatic capability: She was already
trained in martial arts as a child, but, because Mecha Sally was
designed for combat, a lot more fighting styles were programmed
into her to better tailor her against more varied opponents. As
Sally, she can still subconsciously use this for hypothetical
fights.
Swordsmanship: She was already trained with sword as a child,
but because Mecha Sally was modified to weild sabers, her
programming makes her particularly skilled with to bladed
weapons.
Multi-lingual: The result of both her education, and prior
programming, Sally knows all standard languages of Mobius.
Hacking skills: And yes, that means ALL standard languages,
including code.
Weaknesses:
Ironically, her own mind. She inwardly fears and dislikes
herself.
Anxiety: Her stability requires a degree of structure. As a
former combat bot, she requires a certain degree of physical
activity or else she gets restless. A common sight is her going
out for walks at random hours.
Agoraphobia: Still unsure of herself, and more importantly what
shes capable of, she hates being around crowds and dislikes even
more being the center of attention.
Hedgeog....priority one.....
History:
Much of Sally's life has been shrouded in both secrets and
mystery. From the public, most of her friends, and even herself,
these days. After the end of the first Robotnik war, she doesn't
remember much; largely relying on what her closest friends tell
her to help fill in the pieces.
Early Life
She's been told she was the daughter of King Maximillion and his
wife, Queen Alicia; The official king and queen of Northamer
Mobius, despite the many tribes and handfuls of alternative
societies living within the outskirts. She can't remember her
mother, but has some memories of her father. She remembers how
many of her subconscious abilities; her swordsmanship, ability
to read and write, and war strategy homework were things he
taught her personally, at an early age. Sally was born in
war-time; her father inheriting a war from his father before
him, and could not afford the luxuries of an idle mind. Racial
tensions between predator and prey races within the country had
lead to a series of skirmishes within collectively known as the
Great War; a conflict spanning for generations.
And for her own survival, Sally would have to learn very quickly
how to discern friend from foe within the palace walls.
Her first friends had been her ladies in waiting; girls assigned
to her at birth to serve as both her advisors and as decoys for
her survival. But Sonic the Hedgehog had been her best friend,
as he was the first friend she ever earned being herself instead
of as a princess . Despite how different thet were and, her
occasional frustrations with him, he had a frankness to him and
was among the few in her life who treated her like a person, as
opposed to a potential means to an end.
Their bond would only continue to develop further as, faster
than anyone would have hoped, Sally's training as a princess
would be put to the test. as the war intensified, the princess
was among other children, including Sonic, evacuated to the safe
haven of Knothole Village. A frightened girl of only four years
old, Sally remembers the night she was scooped into her
governess' arms and rushed into the forest; where she'd continue
to remain until towards the end of the Robotnik war.
Fighting For Freedom:
Since then, she'd made many friends, or so she's told. She can
vaguely remember a few of them, and it was said it was she who
banded them together to fight Robotnik. But Sally remembers
enough to know this is pure embellishment and little else. It
had been Sonic's initial heroism that had inspired her and
others to fight back, but initially, concern for his safety,
that prompted Sally to tag along. More people started to take
notice of them sneaking out. Handfuls of villagers began joining
them, and the usual observational quip she'd to keep things
organized (and more specifically Sonic from doing something
reckless), suddenly meant to everyone else, she was taking the
role of some leader, who was going to pull the kingdom of Acorn
from the ashes.... When she all she was doing was trying to
protect her friends.
This overwhelmed Sally greatly, but the support of her friends,
especially Sonic's carefree approach to the world that
ironically focused her mind to make more short term goals and
take things as they came. Despite their differences, she would
later find it was because they were opposites she could rely on
him so much. Their dedication towards each other and their
friends was perhaps one of the few similarities they had, but it
was among the most important things she saw in him. Before long
childhood sentiments of friendship had stated to turn into love
for him. And secretly, vice versa.
And perhaps, they would have ended up together if she hadn't
been roboticized towards the end of the first war.
But, stripped of her autonomy and then being consciously forced
to fight everyone she she ever loved or tried to protect had a
massively negative impact on her once bright mind. As Robotnik's
monstrosity, Mecha Sally, The act of losing her free will was
horrifying enough. But to be forced to subject that onto others;
experiencing the traumatizing last moments of her people as they
pleaded for their lives, or begged her to stop and remember who
she was... was too much for her to bear.
Her mind could only psychologically cope by merging with Mecha
Sally's programming; and losing the memories that made it all
hurt so much; leaving her a shell of her former self, by the
time she was rescued.
After the war:
Until fairly recently, Sally's remained institutionalized at
Mobotropolis Sanitarium under a separate alias. The truth is,
almost no one she used to know, aside from her brother, assigned
medical personnel, and her ladies in waiting know about her
condition or have even seen her. Her condition is perhaps the
biggest royal secret of current times, and her ladies in waiting
have taken on her duties, pretending to act as her publicly,
while she recovers. However, resilient as always, Sally, now
referred to as "Alicia", has made leaps and bounds in her
progress and is scheduled to be released. Her medical team is
hopeful, but, despite being deemed legally sane and a functional
member of society, there are still concerns over integrating the
publicity and responsibilities of a princess too quickly.
For now, its been decided, she'll instead be released as a
civilian unrelated to her title while her progress continues to
be monitored.
