The Playground

[center](This is set two months before any of the arc events
came into play, including Sapphire's illness)[/center]
The sun was out, the clouds were extra fluffy and the
temperature was just right, not too hot, not too cold with a
refreshing breeze. A perfect day to go out to the park! Or at
least, so thought Sapphire, who in her excitement to go out for
some fun, pitter pattered her feet and shot off to the nearest
park in Mobotropolis leaving her best friend and older sister
behind!
Arriving to the park within seconds the half hedgehog would kick
up her feet to try and skid to a stop but like usual her stop
was never perfect and she ended up slipping over and sitting on
the grass with a somewhat hard 'Thud'.
Shaking herself off and flipping back up to her feet just before
her sister, Caroline and her best friend, Robin appeared through
a portal that her sister no doubt made to get the two of them
there quicker. Sapphire threw up her arms and shouted "I win!"
As she had gotten there first. Caroline shook her head at her
sister and came over to brush a stray bit of grass off her
outfit. "You need to practice your stops more and your starts
less" "I know I know... But yoooou needa practice focusing on
your training more and looking at you know who less" She teased,
poking a gentle finger against Caroline's neck collar bell.
Her sister went a little pink in the face before playfully
batting Sapphire's hand away, "I don't know what you're talking
about" "Oh you know who I'm talking about" "Sapphire!" The blue
sister giggled before speeding off as her sister gave chase for
a moment before sighing and letting it go, she knew she wouldn't
catch her without using her powers and she didn't ever want to
use one on her own little sister.
Robin on the other hand while the sister's had been talking, was
instead over by the greenery of the park were the shrubs and
tree's grew the thickest, looking for something. Sapphire sped
over to him, slipping again when she went to stop and ended up
sliding to a stop on the ground just in front of the canine,
she'd shoot him up a salute of a wave. "What're you doing over
here? Bathroom's that way!" She beamed a bright smile and Robin
rubbed behind his head giving a light laugh before helping her
back up to her feet, holding onto her hand a little bit longer
then one would after helping but Sapphire didn't seem to think
much of it. "I'm uh.. Looking for stuff to try and make
something with!" He'd look away halfway through saying this but
again, Sapphire didn't seem to think much of it and simply
nodded when he finally let go of her hand, "Oh of course! Well
if I find anything I think might be useful to you I'll be sure
to let you know!" He thanked her silently as she went back to
talk to Caroline.
"I'm really glad you came with us today, I know you're usually
pretty busy with the teachings but I think it's good for you to
get out and about every now and then, and it's good to have some
time to hang out with you too" Sapphire would put her arms
around her sister for a quick hug, which Caroline returned with
a small but warm smile. "I'm glad too" She took a glance around
them, it was a public park so.. "But I can't be out for too long
okay?" Sapphire looked aside for a moment before smiling "Well
let's make the most of the time we have then!"

Not to far from the trio was a young wolf who also decided to
unwind a bit for the day. Her mother's teachings was murder as
usual and she begged her father to convince her mother to let
her hang out with her friends for the day. It took some pleading
but Sakura managed to earn her freedom at the small cost of
double training later. But that was later, right now was a time
to chill out and that is what she planned to do.
As she zipped around town using her lightning speed, she came to
a complete halt at the park as she managed to spot Sapphire and
the others. A small smirk appeared before she disappeared in a
flash only to pop in front of Caroline and Sapphire with a
"surprised jumpscare" .
" Boo!" she exclaimed as she tried to catch at least one of them
off guard.

A feint "whoosh, whoosh, whoosh" can be heard away from the
trio, green chaos energy arrows are being shot towards a medium
sized circular object, they latch om the outer rings of a
bullseye target set up among a very big tree branch. Another
projectile is being prepped in the bow of the same substance,
the hedgehog pulled the energy string and released the arrow
towards the target once again, it struck on the out ring below,
inches away from the middle, a result he isn't pleased with.
"Shoot, almost had it this time" the mobian muttered with a
fairly deep voice shrouded by a vague british pronunciation. He
will need more teachings from his father. he is about to shoot
one more arrow until he heard voices nearby belonging to
familiar faces. he deconstructed his bow and decided to go check
it out, the energy constructs disappeared from the target as
well. He walked around the large tree branch spotting his
friends. "Hey guys, you here to polish your skills too?" he
greeted them with a smile.

The brisk afternoon breeze brushing through her fur the usually
reserved chipmunk couldn’t help but feel daringly
optimistic. Today was turning out to be quite momentous so far.
With the sky a blazingly brilliant blue and the temperature near
enough to perfection both her and her mother had convinced her
father that it would be amiss to keep her cooped up behind
palace walls all day when that probably wouldn’t be the
case for anyone else. Tried as her father had to argue against
her being out without the aid of a bodyguard Elizabeth ever
thankful for her mother was immensely relieved when the older
mobian had intervened to shut that unfair compromise down. Her
whole life was basically a planned schedule there was hardly
ever a time she was seen WITHOUT bodyguards so her mother had
countered that the very least she could have was a day off.
Delighted as she was when her father had reluctantly agreed his
disapproval before she'd left rang faintly in the back of her
mind tainting her freedom a little. Until her small brown ears
flickered pricked upwards at the sound of two familiar voices,
bringing her out of her momentary anxious daze. heading in the
general direction of the pairs voices, she felt herself
instinctively recoil at the sight of the two strangers stood
around them. [i]'Keep calm Elizabeth, they’re probably
friendly. Go over and make yourself known.' Her head held high
she wandered towards the group, only reaching out to lightly tap
Caroline on the shoulder with a fingertip when she got close
enough. Her greeting soft but clear. “Good Afternoon
Caroline, Sapphire.” One hand placed carefully over the
other, the female stood tall, very mindful of her posture.
