This wasn't good. Amy needed someone to talk to about Sonic's
sudden revelation that he had a crush on her and after she had
decided to move on from her 11-year-old infatuation with the
blue blur. She didn't know what to do, she needed advice, and
while Shadow was a great listener, his tough love and 'kill the
faker' solution was not what she needed right now. No, it had to
be another female. Amy Rose went through the list in her head,
each one eliminated for either not being available, or she would
rather chew broken glass than talk to them. "Okay, that was a
bit extreme. Maybe that should be I'd rather kiss Eggface before
talking to her about Sonic... yeah, that works.'
... Wait a moment. Amy sat up quickly and reached for the
directory and the phone, R.... R-O-U... there we go. Rouge the
Bat. She dialed the number and waited for the pickup.
Hey, Rouge? This is Amy, hey, how is it going? Do you have a
moment? She would be in her room for a good while, girl talk
was now engaged.

Rouge was at her place, enjoying a moment of relaxation in her
robe and about to do herself a beauty mask. But then the phone
rang, who could be calling her? Shadow wasn't the kind of person
to call he would rather text and Sonya was probably too busy to
call her. As she was about to dismiss it she looked at the
screen and same a name, Amy Rose. Why would Amy call her of all
people? She couldn't dismiss it, after all, she was a nice
person even to Rouge. She thought why not answering the phone
that she placed on her shoulder and locked with her head and
grabbed the nail polish and began to groom her toenails.
''Hello, Rouge speaking. I am doing well, just painting my
nails, of course, I have a moment. Please, tell me, is
everything okay on your side?'' Despite her general attitude,
Rouge cared about others but she just didn't know how to show it
properly to most people.

Amy bit her lip, her and Rouge had been somewhat at odds before,
but after the Infinite War, they were able to set aside their
differences and work together. "Uh... um... no, not really?" it
was a statement that sounded more like a question. "I um...
need... advice... on... men." She dragged the request for help
out of her mouth. "You have a lot of experience with guys,
right? I... um. I need help with a relationship. See Sonic is
um, well you know how I feel about him, but I found out that
it's not going to work out so I've been trying to move on and of
course Sonic has told me over and over that he doesn't feel that
way and now he just told me to my face that he has a crush on
me! I am really confused, what do I do, Rouge?" She babbled out,
getting more anxious and confused with every word.

Rouge didn't expect to receive a call from Miss Rose in the
first place, much less to talk about men. But this particular
instance surprised her, Amy and she had never been the best
friends there is, if at all really. So this was a first, Amy
Rose and Rouge the Bat talking about men over the phone. This
talk would involve the one she nicknamed blue and it wouldn't be
the first girl talk she had with someone about him but it would
be a first time someone asked her for advice instead of her not
minding her own business and intruding in someone else's life.
The thought itself made her realise that she needed to stop
that. Although she knew she probably wouldn't.''The beautiful
Miss Rose asking for advice about men, this is a surprise. I
must say you're catching me off guard and that's exceptional. So
blue finally see you like more than just a fangirl? This is
quite the situation, did you knocked him that hard with your
hammer or did he finally pulled his head out of his...Ah... my
nails...''She was so distracted and surprised that she applied
colours around the nail by accident.''my apologies, I didn't
want to sounds I was mocking you and also, do you think that
coral red fits my toenails?''

Amy's girly inside was temporarily distracted by the advice in
color. "Coral Red?" She thought a moment, picturing Rouge's
snow-white fur, piercing cerulean eyes, and a peachy complexion.
"Hmm... I think that would work with your clear winter
complexion, though it is a bit more of a warm spring color." She
shook her head, she was getting off topic. "And NO I didn't hit
him with my hammer. I don't know what's going on! One moment
he's keeps reminding me of how obnoxious I was when we were
younger, says that he only thought of me as a sister, and then
he says that he has a crush on me. I have no idea how to deal
with this!" She groaned and pulled her knees to her chest.
"I am trying to end this fantasy that keeps playing in my head,
I'm trying to quit him, but he's... making it so hard." She felt
tears starting to well up. "It's not fair. Why does the universe
like to tease me like this? I realized the truth of our future
and now I'm trying to do the right thing for the both of us by
just being friends and then life throws this curveball!"

Because he tends to act like he's full of himself and treated
you like a sister, yeah? And now all of a sudden he has a crush
on you. This is indeed suspicious, and what makes you think he
might be sincere at all?'' Rouge had a strange vibe from this
situation, knowing that hedgehog he could get most women on
Mobius. Especially the easily impressionable, he was a hero and
a celebrity so why Amy and why now? The bat couldn't help but
feel like something was odd. ''Girl, I think that it's not the
universe playing a trick on you, but before pointing fingers and
accusing anyone. Let's talk about this in a more private
setting? How about we meet up for a drink or a lunch? How's that
sound?'' She offered kindly to at least create an atmosphere of
trust and comfort.

Amy sighed and looked over at her clock and calendar on her
nightstand. "I don't know if he's sirene at all. When he blurted
it out it seemed like it had been an accident, and then he just
stood there." She shook her head. "Alright, drink sounds good. I
have work tomorrow but I get off at 5, maybe 5:30 at that the
Black Lagoon Cafe? I've heard it has good reviews and has a lot
of good stuff on tap."

''Sounds delightful to me, and trust me we'll find out very soon
what's up with blue and what to do about it. Okay? Tonight go
treat yourself and relax with a beauty mask and a warm bath with
scented candles and tomorrow we'll talk more in details of your
man related predicament.''The bat said in hope that it would
cheer the pink maiden. She then proceeded to write in her agenda
that exact time and place of their meeting. She was still
surprised they had this talk, especially since Amy called her
and not the other way around and while they were on the phone
she had finished her nails nodding with a facial expression that
meant approval. 'She was right about the colour, I am
astonished.'She though when contemplating the result.

"Alright, I'll see you then. Thanks again Rouge." She hung up
and pondered for a while. Should she go downstairs and eat with
Sonic or...
*Knock Knock*
Amy's thoughts were interrupted when Sonic stepped in carrying a
plate and his travel bag. This didn't look good.

Amy sat at the cafe table, getting a bit of deja vu from last
time she did this, except she hadn't been waiting on anyone,
plus that cafe had been a bit more E for Everyone. The Black
Lagoon Cafe was more of a hip bar where the customers could
order alcohol with their coffee, or just straight up booze. It
was still classy though, and the hors-d'oeuvres were well rated.
The decor had a dark color pallet that was elegantly done and
gave a soothing and mysterious vibe to the place.
The pink hedgehog ordered a mudslide with Bailey's, chocolate
liquor, and whatever else they put in there. Screw her diet, she
had been having a crappy week, she was going to enjoy the sweet
taste of spiked creamer. She didn't have to worry about being
carded here, she was an adult that was all there was to it. Amy
took a sip of her drink and tapped her foot to the live music
playing on the small stage.

When Rouge entered the premises she was astonished by the decor
and the smooth ambience. Miss Rose had exquisite taste and Rouge
never thought that she would choose such a beautiful place to
meet, in fact, she didn't know her very well and expected a maid
cafe or something just as childish but no, little Amy had grown
up it seems. She had heard of the pink hedgehog as blue's no1
fan and a childish person, but her info was wrong. The bat
didn't take too long to scan the place and find Miss Rose which
she quickly joined for a coffee. As she sat down she offered her
a smile and picked up the menu before setting on a coffee with a
shot of Amarula liquor to sweeten the bitter aromas of her
coffee and gives it a velvet life feel on her tongue.
''My, my. It seems you have grown into a fine looking young
woman, my dear. Now I know why blue seems to have an eye on you
but anyway, you have exquisite tastes when it comes to coffee
lounge. So please, tell me what happened in more details so we
can analyze the situation together and maybe find the cause of
this predicament of yours.'' The alabaster bat briefly
complimented and asked her to clarify the situation before she
unapologetically puts her nose into the hedgehog's love life.
