A Treeway Heist [Museum]

The museum was closed since 8 pm. Everything was calm a silent
as usual. The janitor finished his shift at 11 pm and had close
everything leaving the security guard to protect the place. The
janitor was a lucky beaver. All his life he only wishes to
contemplate art and history with his own eyes. He found this job
through a hiring agency and never been this happy to work with
such a marvellous institution.
As for the security guard, their shift started a regular night.
They told to themselves “ So another boring night heh”. With
their flashlight, they start to roam around the museum
exposition looking for any possible intrusion. They were bored
and jaded by their job. No one told them that the only action
they’ll ever get would be drunk people breaking in or some lost
person who didn’t hear the close call. But tonight we’ll be
their lucky night because they’ll be served with enough action
for a lifetime. Not one, not two but three burglars will try to
commit a heist in the museum this night.

**Time minus 6**
Rouge quietly cutted a fine circle through the museum roof with
a fancy diamond cutter. She checked at her watch to be ready.
She already knew what the plan was and gracefully jumped through
the hole she had my by swirling through the air like a silent
ballet dancer. Slowlybut surely she danced while dodging the
security system. Not a sound would disturb her quiet aerial
ballet until T-5 when she finally went for a master piece. The
ecchidna race exposition, she stood there floating in mid air
for an instant before cutting the protection glass around the
jewels and left shiny paperweight behind before going for the
Amber. What a precious thing indeed and she slipped her hand in
the glass prison holding the shiny amber. "Come to mama you
pretty thing." She said while exchanging the Ember with
something precious inside for another shiny paperweight with a
kidding mark it. Rouge blew a kiss destined for pedestal that
was previously holding it.
"And now we wait for the signal" She said still aloft lazily
floating around, occasionally swirling around. Museums were so
quiet at night she figured she should enjoy the quiet for a
minute or two.

the guards would find another museum guard walk past but what
they didn't know is that that guard is the infamous magician
thief of justice phantom in disguise in his mind he went like so
they didn't take me seriously, well then it's their mistake and
since i have no audience no reason to show myself i'l just swipe
it and be gone he then decided to go further along to the
petrified chaos thinking aw this is going to be boring even
detective tentei isn't here but then again i can keep it this
time but i can't shake the feeling that something will happen
he then thought alright if i keep this pace i should arrive at
the gem in nine minutes and went on his way

Under normal circumstances, James worked the day shift, but
every now and then he'd be given a night shift and this was one
of these days. Hiding a yawn, he was sitting at the station and
trying to keep himself awake. It wasn't even midnight and he was
already having a hard time keeping awake, guess it'd be a slow
shift.
That was when he received a notification from his E-mail and he
opened it to see it had the digital signature of G.U.N on it,
though no actual sender. Still, it had a file attached and a
note that basically said that the police should probably get
going.
James shrugged and gave the file a try, it was an intercepted

/>and it didn't bode well if it was true. They had to get going.
"Boss, you might want to have a listen!" James called to the
highest ranking officer on station at the moment, "we might have
a lead on that doctor fella."
The officer came over and had a listen. Like James, his
expression dropped and he nodded, "you got that right, Mitchell.
I'll gather the police and get ready to surround the museum. You
better get going and take point."
"Yes sir, what should i expect for support?" James asked as he
got up.
"A scout helicopter with a flood light at best on such short
notice," the boss answered, "to monitor the rooftop. Don't
worry, it should be faster than last time."
James just nodded and ran to get suited up, then he ran to a car
and set off for the museum. This wouldn't be allowed to pass,
not on his watch.

At the back of the museum, the Doctor arrived with his minions
in front of a wall. They silently set up a weird device on top a
tripodal. A long cord of wiring was connected to a series of car
batteries. They were at least 30 batteries stack on top of each
other. When Dr kaw flick the switch on the device all the
energies of the batteries were sucked into the device and you
could see bolt you electricity all around the wire while the
device drained them. A beam of light then hit the wall in form
of it. When the beam hit the surface the solid surface start to
ripple like the surface of a pool. The doctor then points at the
Talons to go through the phased wall.
The Doctor didn't dress like the last time he was seen. Instead
of regular pant, we were wearing hammer pants and a backward cap
on his head. On his shoulder, he was holding a high tech boom
box. Still, he has still worn his regular mad scientist coat and
on top of that, he was wearing shade over his regular glass. At
last, he was wearing earmuffs and his talon was too wearing
those.
Also, the Talon sported a modified outfit than the last time.
Their mask and bodysuit were added with a metallic inlay on
them. For the technological adept it was obviously an attempt
from the mad scientist part to protect the mask from
shortcutting when an attack by a taser weapon or another kind of
an electric shock.
Lastly from the group of 8 birds, one of them was standing out.
The Talon was the same size as the other but a device as added
to his left hand. From that device, tubings were extending all
around his body suit. For now, the tubing was transparent but
you could see through the device that there was red liquid
inside of it.
When they were inside the building all the wiring of start to
melt down and pool as a black mass of plastic and metal mixed
together.

Rouge remained in mid air waiting until she saw the birds
penenetrating the building. She had spent five minutes stealing
a few jewels and the most prized of them by switching them with
mundane fake jewels that anyone could get in the nearest dollar
store just for the thrill of it. As expected the birds made a
ridiculously flashy entrence and they wore the tackiest uniforms
that scream bad fashion. It was almost insulting for Rouge to
have accepted to take this job.
"You do know how to make an entrance and that's not a
compliment. I even did most of the job by capturing this beauty"
She said chuckling and inserting the spherical object in her
heart-shaped chest plate in order to cause more distraction and
slightly annoy the birds. Of course she wouldn't just hand it
over without a little fun before that and perhaps a little
negociation for shits and giggles.
"I forgot to ask, you're coming for the fine art exposition or
simply to snob like most people and pretend to know anything
about the art world?" She said winking and flew a little higher
just to tease them before thinking about possibly handing it
over to them.

when the other thieves came into view came someone looking like
a guard appeared seeing the other thieves saying as if he hit
the jackpot well this will be more interesting than i thought
he then looked at the bird saying like he was very annoyed ooh
that would be nice to have for my suit
he then dashed at rouge activating all the alarms and dropping
his disguise for his signature white magician outfit saying
thanks for making my escape route the name is magician thief of
justice phantom he then decided to trow his cards with
paralyzing poison at both rouge and and dr kaw

James pulled up at the museum entrance, got his shield and ran
to nearest emergency door, it would be easier to get through
that the main door. Especially if he needed to breach the door
open, the cost in repairs wouldn't be as bad.
As he reached the door, the alarms suddenly went off, now there
was no doubt and no need to explain himself. He quickly pulled
out a little pack of C4 and placed it on the escape door, stood
back and activated the detonator. It would cause some unrest as
he ripped the surrounding area out of their slumber, but right
now, he didn't care. He hopefully could corner them before they
escaped.
With his conviction set in stone, he rushed through the debris
and smoke to start a broad and fast sweep of the area.
"Sir, i've breached the building, if you could hurry up, that'd
be wonderful!" he called on radio, "where's the scout helicopter
you promised?"
"It's on the way, and we'll be there in a bit, don't worry," the
boss assured him, "10 minutes max, keep safe and try to stop.
Refrain from lethal force."
"Roger, you sit back and have a nice cup of tea then," James
said while rolling his eyes and ended the call, what could take
them so long?!

A lot of things were happening at the same time. At first, the
doctor was walking with his cohort in a very ghetto fashion. He
was parading as if he was some sort of rapper. Just after
passing through the wall he presses the play button on his
boombox. This song

start to play and the
volume was way beyond 11. The volume was, in fact, so loud it
was making everything in the building shake and tremble. That
strong vibration could be felt inside the bones of everyone
present.
While meeting face to face with Rouge he had the politeness to
lower the volume and lower his shade to look into Rouge’s eyes.
Right after she teased him with hiding the amber inside her
cleavage he retorts: “KAW” I am more of a music guy “KAW” Those
trinkets and paintings are nothing to me. And could you “KAW”
give me the amber it would help me going out of here faster
“KAW”. Then in the corner of his eyes, he saw a courageous
security rushing to the situation. He was saying to himself
~what a weirdo rushing into a mob of 8 heavily armed criminals
and a notorious flying burglar, well at least he is funny~. When
he revealed that he was some sort of a magician thief using them
to escape his crime, the doctor nearly burst into laughter but
since the thief was throwing weaponize card the doctor proceeds
to intervene.
“[shadow=orange,left]KAWahaAHahAHAH[/shadow]” I’m at my 12th cup
of coffee my reaction speed is so short that I could see each of
the blue blur footsteps when he’ll be running
“[shadow=orange,left]AhahahAHAHA[/shadow]. Well, he was not
super fast for say but he was seeing stuff super fast so he
could move at the right moment to deflect the playing card with
the back of his hand. While doing so he hit the card on the
right angle and force to redirect it into the one sent at Rouge
to deflect it.
Well seeing the thief pull the alarm lever while dashing toward
them did make the evil mastermind smirk. In his mind, he
remembered that his talon did sneak the night before to leave
devices to stop the alarm to be activated. The alarms did go off
but they were silenced as fast as they were triggered. It’s not
like he didn’t want the cop the come in but he simply hates the
sound of an alarm. In fact, when he hacked the G.U.N network to
contact Rouge he simply uses it again to send the cop the
transcript of the conversation to lure them into his trap.
As he was twitching from his caffeine overdose he looks at one
the corridor in which an explosion was heard and he knew that
the lure had the desired effect.
“Well, well, well “KAW” seems like the cavalry has arrived it’s
time to start the show “[shadow=orange,left]KAWAHAHAHA[/shadow]”
he concluded at the sound of the intrusion. He then cranks the
volume back up to a sickening level and starts to dance to the
beat of the song. Even his minion started to dance with him as
if it was rehearsed. Four of the Talon jump in the air and gave
themselves a push with their wings to reach Rouge’s height. Two
of those jumping continued their flight to grab the ledge made
by Rouge’s entrance and extend their arm to show the bat thief
to give them her loot. At the same, the birds left on the ground
were making a circle around the doctor and the peculiar Talon
and pointing their laser rifle to the magician thief, the
corridor from where the explosion was heard and the main
entrance while still busting some sick move.
“KAW” can’t touch this” he was saying when moving his head side
to side still in the sweet spot where the caffeine made him feel
like the king of the world but he was close to becoming nauseous
of this overdose of caffeine. He was thinking~ a little then 1
minute before I’ll get super sick but damn that mochachino with
vegan soy milk and little espresso inside was sooo good
especially with the chocolate sparkle on it~and where was I
taking that cup I should go there more often before crime~that
pierre guy sure knows how to brew a nice cup of coffee and I
didn’t go there I sure wouldn’t have thought to contact Rouge
but when I saw her I knew she would be perfect for my
plan~thinking about plan I’m surprised that I am able to think
that much in that frozen moment. I should prepare myself to t
minus 0~ “KAW” oh crap the down is here Oooooo” he shout
thinking out loud.

It wasn't hard to locate the troublemakers as one of them
started to blast music at an insane volume. It was painful to
listen to, it was little more than noise, regardless of the song
being played.
Once he saw them, he didn't hesitate to raise his pistol and
shoot for the boombox to try and disable it, he had only had to
listen to it from the door to here and he was already sick to
his stomach.
"Alright, that's it, drop your weapons and surrender!" he
bellowed to try and cut through the sound if it didn't work,
"you're all under arrest!"
