A Freedom Fighter Way Out Of Her Comfort Zone.

       [b]Hey there guys!
I'm still mega new here so please go easy on me ^^ but if anyone
wants to join this they can.
Basically to add more context to this my character Sonya is
still very learning as far as her offense fighting skills go,
and Sally is training her ^^ who else Sally has asked to come
along and help put Sonya through her paces is down to you guys
       D:
       ___
Her whole body trembling, she forced herself to continue to hold
form against the onslaught of her superiors attacks. Goodness
when Princess Sally said she wasn't going to go easy on her,
she'd sure as hell meant it. The beginner mobian hero had long
since lost track of how long Sally had been putting her through
her paces and as far as she'd been made aware it wasn't just
Sally that was going to giving her a run through, as if she
wasn't already nervous enough, Sally had made implications that
there would be various other professionals in soon but she was
going to worry about that later.
She wasn't in any position to let her guard to drop now.
Her boss wasn't only agile but she was a lot faster than she'd
originally anticipated. Sure this wasn't Sonic speed she was
dealing with, but Sallys speed was still enough to keep her on
her toes all the same, and she'd only just been holding up her
blocking manoeuvres and how long she was going to keep managing
at this rate was any ones guess. The worst part was this was
just their fierceness leader taking things easy on her for a
warm up, she wasn't even stepping up the game yet. The medics
anxiety was on a particular high within the moment, and she knew
she couldn't keep this dodge and block routine up for much
longer she needed a plan, she needed to somehow take the
offense, she needed time she simply did not have.
Getting no further in her frantic thought process, she felt the
air sharply leave her lungs, as the sole of Sallys boot collided
firmly, with her stomach sending her sprawling.
"Sonya, the most important thing when taking the offensive route
is always being hyper aware of your opponent and what their next
move may or not be, you was in a world of your own just then."
Sitting herself up slightly, the female struggled to adjust her
breathing, her expression slightly dazed, but apologetic.
       "I-I'm sorry Sally .. i.. i wasn't in the moment.."
"Not being in the moment is fine when your're training with me,
but if you come up against an opponent that won't even give you
a second of breathing room you'd be in real trouble."
Shrugging slightly, the chipmunk offered up a sympathetic smile.
"Maybe i made the call to bring you into offensive training to
early, we can always call it quits if you-"
Slowly gathering herself back onto two feet, the female found
herself speaking out against the dismissive suggestion, her own
       defensive mannerism surprising even her.
"NO- i.. i mean no disrespect Sally but i'm not done here until
i'm incapable of being done, do i look finished to you?!"
A ghost of a smile tugging at the corners of the resistance
leaders mouth, she took a moment to just take the newbie in, it
went without saying that at this stage, she was still very much
the runt of the litter, and that she had a long way to go before
she made a firm name for herself out there. But this fennec
could take as much as she dished out, the amount of times she'd
knocked out her down over the past couple of hours, and not
entirely on whole percentage mind, but she'd put in to enough
to inflict bruising, which this spirited fennec had taken
       exactly the way she'd anticipated.
People had a lot of nerve underestimating her, this fennec was a
fighter, and in that moment, she knew that she'd made the right
choice recruiting her all those years back. Sure not a lot was
going to realize yet but this trembling weak fox was going to be
a serious force to be reckoned with one day.
"Now that's the attitude i expect from a Freedom Fighter."

Nancy stumbled into the Freedom Fighter main barracks two
oversized metal claws, most likely from crabmeats were stuck
through her torso, with crimson blood slowly leaking from the
plugged up wounds. "Can I hava medic please, I'm gonna totally
keel over if I don't get a bloody sundae." Nancy said before
immediately collapsing on a nearby table.

[i] Hearing her before she saw her, the fennecs ear flickered,
at the sound of the newcomer. Facing the source of the sound,
her pretty features creased with worry at the sight of the new
female. Training forgotten, unsurprisingly Sonya found her body
moving, before she could properly process what was going on.
Sallys concerned attempts at calling her name, went unnoticed.
It wasn't rocket science to deduce that in the current state the
parakeet was in, she wasn't going to last if she didn't do
something fast. Stopping beside the table the parakeet clasped
on, she carefully shifted her body weight, so that the female
was laying a position, that caused her the least amount of
discomfort at the moment. Sky blue orbs swiftly assessing the
damage, she appreciated that Sally remained silent beside her,
knowing that at times like these Sonyas concentration was vital.
Thankfully the damage wasn't as gory as it looked, while the
metal claws was launched deep, the assault hadn't been precise,
and had missed the birds main arterys.
Her expression while remaining professionally glossed over,
edged with genuine kindness, while she tended to the bird [Sally
having wordlessly handed over her medical bag.] She made sure
her tone was kept to feather soft degrees, not that this
particular Parakeet looked like she startled easily, but she
       didn't want to risk anything.
"Hello there, i'm Doctor Heart but you can just call me Sonya
and this is Princess Sally [briefly gestures to the chipmunk,
beside her.] you look like you've been through the ringer.. but
don't worry i'm going to get you all fixed up, now i need you to
focus on your breathing for me, you may not feel like you need
to now, but the shock is going catch up with you, do you have a
       name?"

Nancy trembled, starting to feel the pain of her injuries. "Oh
chaos, gonna need more than a few rings..." Sonya's calm and
controlled words suddenly hit Nancy, and she tried to focus on
answering. "Momma called me Nancy, so I guess that's it. Sorry
to steal your attention but I got wicked ambushed on my daily
       scout. Was a sick... se..."
Nancy started to go short of breath, though she was ultimately
reassured by the sweet medic girl caring for her. Nancy tried to
force herself to smile in her situation "Everything's gonna be
       all-right k?"

[i] With each second that ticked by, Sonya saw the Parakeet
gradually begin to loose composure. And empathetic as always,
her heart went out to her. While her injuries weren't life
threatening, that didn't give the poor bird a pass on the pain
she was no doubt feeling with the last of her adrenaline coming
down. Taking a knee, so that she was in the females line of
sight, she offered up what she hoped to be one of her most
reassuring smiles, given the circumstances. Subtly motioning to
the chipmunk as she did so, Sally gently but firmly took hold of
the Parakeets hand, she was going to need the support for what
was coming next. Searching carefully through her medical
supplies, the occasional flick of her ears, let the Parakeet
know that she was still attentively listening to what she was
saying, despite her focus being elsewhere. Carefully pulling on
see through plastic surgical gloves, she prepped the morphine
injection carefully, but made sure to respond in kind to her
       cue.
"Nancy, that's a beautiful name .. way more modern than mine
       anyhow."
Pausing for a beat, the fennec shook her head, a little before
       adding.
"Nancy you have nothing to apologize for, and when we have you
back on your feet we're going to find out who did this, but for
now try not to talk to much okay? you need to conserve as much
energy as possible right now. Your're going to be better than
       alright, i promise."

"Now i want you to keep focusing your breathes for me, in and
out, and i'm going to need you to look over at Sally for a few
minutes, i'm just going to administrator some pain relief you
       may feel a scratch.."
This was usually the most un enjoyable part of her profession,
nine times out of ten anyone she was treating if she still
conscious like Nancy was in this case, put up a heck of a fight,
to put the breaks on a needle. And as much she didn't want to
add onto any internal stress and anxiety the female was no doubt
feeling, there wasn't going to be a simple fix for this one,
while there was other methods that she could have went with for
going down the Morphine route, the injection was going to be the
most effective out of the lot. Sonya just hoped for Nancys own
sake, that she didn't try and battle her off about this.

Nancy nodded finding it increasingly difficult to speak, all she
could do was wait on the table, staring up at that drab ceiling,
with a ceiling lamp overhead. Nancy saw things, things that
other people knew weren't there. The ceiling lamp started to
grow more intense, Nancy could see tendrils of sun rays reaching
out to her, and the outlines of white hedgehog angels towards
the middle of the light. Once the large needle pumped morphine
into the bird's bloodstream however, the vision seemed to fade
away, and the searing pain was mostly replaced by a numb empty
feeling. Nancy let air in and out of her mouth steadily, knowing
it was the best she could do at the moment. There was just one
more vision left, the transparent butterfly wings on the back of
       the paramedic.

[b] "There we go talk about taking the needle like a champ ..
i've never had a patient take an injection so head on, don't
panic if you start to feel drowsy that's a common side effect
with Morphine, and given the dosage i've given you, you should
be numb long enough for us to transfer you to the main hospital,
your wounds and bleeding i could treat here on the spot myself,
but i'm afraid those metal claws have to be dealt with
differently, i wouldn't want to try removing them, and have you
at an even further risk of blood loss, with the amount you've
lost already, don't fight against the feeling.. just let
yourself drift, i'll take care of the rest.."
       ___
[b] *A steady transfer to The Tommy Turtle Memorial Hospital
       later... *[b][b]
[i]The fennec had waited all to patiently, for the all clear to
be given on Nancy. The extraction of those dreaded metal claws
was thankfully carried out with little to no complications on
Sonya and the rest of the hospital surgeons ends, and even
though the Parakeet had lost a lot of blood because of the way
the claws had been so harshly wrenched into her body, they
wasn't fatal upon removal, and her improvement wasn't anything
three pints of her blood type couldn't fix right up. Sure she
was going to be out of commission for awhile whist her body
recovered fully, but by the time she was back to full strength,
was going to come out of this as good as new, and for that Sonya
couldn't have been more glad. After all it wasn't very often
that she got to tell her success stories without a gritty
       outcome.
Her ballet flats clicking against the polished hospital floors,
Sonya strode with optimistic purpose on her way to the Parakeets
ward, having gotten word that the bird had gotten a relieving
downgrade from intensive care. So naturally the medic was
enthusiastic to see how the girl was holding up. Although on a
hunch she was betting that the bird would probably be on the
more chipper side, now past the huge scary parts and all.
She'd just have to see for herself. Skimming precisely through
the females medical notes, and limited general information the
hospital provided for her use, it wasn't long until she found
       herself at the Parakeets beside.
[i] "Hello Nancy, how are you feeling?"

Nancy perked up seeing the familiar face sitting at her bedside.
"Don't worry about me, I'll be up and running through loops in
no time, I hope... Glad your okay, hows the resistance? I didn't
attract any buzz bomber scouts dragging my birdy body back did
I?" Sitting in that sterile featureless room had itself taken
its toll. on her colorful mind. In the corner, there sat an
illusion of Sally Acorn leaning back on a jeweled throne and
harshly staring down Nancy judgementally. "Don't look at me like
that Sally!" Nancy suddenly said apparently staring off into the
corner. "Don't let her treat you wrong Sonya. She may be doing
what she thinks is right but that doesn't mean you cant go AWOL
on a mission for your beliefs, er something like it. I just hope
you get where I'm coming from sal." Nancy said to the Sally
Illusion, who was now eating a large leg of meat voraciously. "I
love you sal but you are so weird sometimes."

[i] She was asking if she was the one okay? bold words coming
from the girl who'd just scraped by removal surgery. It looked
like she had another selfless personality on her hands. Seeing
her perk up at the sight of her, was as reassuring sight as any,
even if she did look a little restless. Not that Sonya could
blame her, after all nothing was more frustrating than the wait
until recovery. With her abilities and personal experience, it
wasn't often that the roles was reversed in this case, but
whenever she used her abilities to extents that wore herself
out, bed rest for the next couple of days was usually around the
       time, she got twitchy.
[b] "I'm glad to hear that Nancy, in a situation like this your
optimism is refreshing. Nope getting you here went without a
hitch, and as for the rest of the resistance .. we're all doing
what we can, Sally will probably be in to talk to you shortly,
nothing to formal will just need you to re tell us what led to
       you getting those injuries." [b]
Flinching, at the females sudden amp in volume, she turned her
head, following the females gaze to the corner. Her expression a
mask of friendly professionalism, she remained quiet while the
Parakeet spoke. She'd already known or more made a well educated
guess, about what state Nancys mental health was in.
Schizophrenia while not uncommon so far in career, wasn't
something she tackled often, but seeing Nancy up close, it was
interesting. Tapping her pen gently against her clip board, the
fennec phrased her next sentence carefully, a therapeutic note
       settling into her tone.
"Nancy, have you always .. been gifted in seeing things that
       others cannot?"

Nancy sat up a bit in her bed, or at least tried to, she could
hardly move. "I've seen stuff as long as I can remember, which
sounds like a lot but I cant remember anything past a few months
ago. I haven't felt this sick since that wicked nasty day. All
I knew bout me was my name, my mama, I could see things, and I
       liked getting into crazy trouble."
A loud creak followed by a snap suddenly entered Nancy's ears,
the "Sally" in the corner was now quite obese and the throne had
broken under her weight. "Are you trying to tell me something?
Use your words sal! I can hear my other "imaginary friends"
sometimes but silly over there never says anything, she just
judges me with those squirrely eyes of hers."
"I just don't like talking, specially bout that day when I had
that damn stone in my hands and was confused to the max. Never
forget how people both that were "real" and "not there" looked
at me. If I dwell to much on my own problems it just takes away
from every one else's fun, an having fun is my specialty!" Nancy
concluded, looking at Sonya attentively who still had
transparent butterfly wings on her back.
