Maria tilted her head as the stag's face turned crimson as he
started to fidget and stammer. She had her theory why he was
like this, but she refused to believe she was the cause, might
just be the receptionist, she was a looker, she would be able to
provoke such an reaction from a man. She mentally slapped
       herself, "dammit, stay professional."
That being said, it was hard to do so as the Stag didn't help
her a lot. All he had managed to do was raise his index finger
       while trying to talk.
"I am terribly sorry, but you will have to try and calm down if
i am to understand you," she tried carefully, not wanting to
make it worse, "please, sir, take a few deep breaths and focus.
       Then try again."
At this point she had become distracted enough that she hadn't
noticed that she was supposed to meet with Sabine... and by
extension that Sabine wasn't the most patient mobian on this
       world.

He took a few deep breaths before exhaling and regained his
composure. It was difficult to be in her presence but he was
here to apologize to his best friends and she just happened to
pass by seeing as he needed help, nothing more.
       'Y-yes...fo...forgive me... I...I am looking for James...or
Guntram for that matter.': Poor Arvid managed to say before
looking away in disbelief. He actually managed to talk to Maria
without emitting a loud incomprehensible gibberish. Coming from
him it was quite the feat. 'W-would you...h-happen to be
M-M-Maria Hawkings?': Again he managed to emit a second full
sentence and this time asking something to her. He was mentally
congratulating himself. ' I can do it. I'm just here to present
my apologies to my friends and to thank them, nothing more': He
thought while nodding unconsciously distracted. The deer felt
brave for once, especially in front of his long lost crush from
high school who grew up to become a beautiful woman.

"Oh, it's nothing, i am just glad it is nothing serious and just
nerves," Maria smiled and gestured down the hallway, "follow
that hall to the end, there should be the crew lounge. While the
base is crewed of only our squad and a bit of administrative
staff, i am sure you can find either of them there. Just
remember to not go onto the runway area, it's off limit without
       escort."
She was still curious about the stag though, especially when he
looked away from her, why was he so shy and bashful? Meeting
authority figures could be unnerving, but not like that. This
was like something she would do... when she was in high school.
What caught her off guard was when he asked her about her name.
How did he know that, had they met before, why didn't she
       remember him?
"Um... yes, my name is Maria Hawkins," she answered awkwardly,
       "how do you know?"
Right as she had asked the question, someone else decided to
show up, the black panther. She was approaching from the other
hallway, coming up behind them, and Maria quickly looked at her
watch. She had been here too long and Sabine had decided to come
looking for her. The panther was already prepared to go, resting
her LMG on her shoulder. Maria was also ready, but she didn't
know what they would be doing.
"What's going on Hawkins, you should have been at the meeting
point ten minutes ago," Sabine sighed in annoyance as she saw
       Arvid, "what's he doing here?"
"Uh, sorry for the hold up, Sabine," Maria quickly answered and
scratched the back of her head, "he was lost and needed help,
just lacked the nerve to talk initially. It would be wrong to
not help him. It should be solved now."
"Well aren't you a saint?" Sabine asked while rolling her eyes,
"you were supposed to help me with that one long patrol, not
getting caught up with civilians looking for directions. That is
       what the reception is for."
Maria sighed and nodded, "i know, but still. Sorry, sir, i must
ask you to get moving. Don't hesitate to ask the receptionist if
you need more help. They are very kind."

The panther sent a shiver down his spine. She too grew up, into
a terrifying woman that is. Arvid froze again, it was just like
high school again when his sisters were rivals of that
terrifying figure. Back then just thinking about was enough to
make him panic but now she was even more menacing than ever.
'Eh... n-never mind, I will b-be on my way. It was ...nice
meeting you': He thanked her with a faint chuckle and power
walked to the lounge in hope of finding James or Guntram before
the sheer pressure of the stress makes him faint. He had just
faced his crush from high school and his worst fear at the same
time. His heart raced faster than ever before he collapsed in
the lounge door framed and lost consciousness. Again, fate had
played a trick on him but this time there was a hint of light.

Maria looked after him as he walked off, having noted how he
seemed to freeze up when Sabine appeared, strange.
"Seems you scared him off," she sighed as they went off to do
their thing, "sorry for the hold up."
"Don't mention, i know you just wanted to help, but sometimes
you got to be able to ignore that urge," Sabine answered, "as
for that guy, what was his deal, he seemed like he was about to
       faint at any moment."
"He was looking for James and Guntram, he didn't get to say why
       before he faltered."
Sabine just shrugged and then they were off to do their job.
Maria chose to omit the fact that the stag had known her name.
Who knew how the panther would react... well, she knew, it
       wouldn't be pretty.
Inside the crew lounge, both Guntram and James were having their
break. Petrov was off with the police and they were about
halfway through their break. Guntram had finally gotten his
hands on the magazine and was completely consumed by it. James
had just leaned back to relax. Their break was cut short though
as someone crashed into the door, which made them and the few
staff members on break jump in shock.
"What was that?" James asked as he looked out the door for the
course and saw Arvid, "oh dear. Hey Guntram, Arvid's here!"
"Here?" Guntram asked and put down his magazine, "why would he
       be here?"
"I don't know," James sighed as he lifted him up, "but it must
be important if he came here."
They quickly brought him into the lounge and placed him on the
nearest couch and checked on him. He had passed out again,
sheesh, what was up with this guy?

It took him a minute or two before he wakes up and he looked
confused as of where he was and who were these people? 'Oh my,
James? I am so sorry, I must've fainted again, eh eh...Why was I
here again? Oh yes, I came to apologise for last night and on my
way, I came across two people, Miss Hawkings': He tried to
explain and blushed as he said her name. ' It doesn't matter
anymore, I even could say a few words before I was strongly
encouraged to go away, anyway, there you go. I am sorry for
ruining it and passing out.': He said looking down, the deer
looked defeated and discouraged. 'I suppose I should go now
before SHE comes back and send me away eh eh... Oh, Arvid you're
still doing it... Talking to yourself again..': He muttered the
last words and stood up and was ready to head out of the lounge
with a smile.' At least it was nice to see you again.': He
concluded before leaving the room and hoped that on his way he
wouldn't encounter any trouble so he wouldn't have to run or to
       demonstrate his cowardliness again.

James and Guntram listened to him as he rambled, which also
caused a few chuckles from the rest of the staff.
"I assume SHE refers to Sabine," James chuckled, having a theory
as to why he fainted, "but really, you didn't need to apologize
for yesterday. You didn't hurt anyone, so there is nothing to be
ashamed or feeling bad for. As for Sabine coming back, she won't
anytime soon. Her and Maria are out on a long patrol. So you're
       safe."
"Hey, don't go yet," Guntram said as Arvid turned to leave, "you
wanted to see the Panther, didn't you? You're already here, i
don't have any flights for the next hour. So i can take you on a
       tour, what do you say?"

'the panther...? Oh, you mean your plane? Yes! As long as I'm
safe eh eh...': He said chuckling. Knowing that he apologised
for no reason reassured him and that Sabine wouldn't come back
for a while made him actually feel safe. It wasn't a bad idea
after and he could spend time with Guntram! 'I'm really happy to
see your plane. And mostly, I'm glad you get to fly': He offered
him a warm and kind smile. 'I think I will visit you more often
knowing that I actually have friends around and that's a
relief.': He said happily and patted the Penguin on his head. '
I missed you both and now it is time for me to live my life. I
actually sold a few of my sketches to companies and art
galleries of which I am pretty proud... Oh, I am doing it
again...: He muttered the last words under his breath. ' I
always talk too much again... But did you know that the place
model I've found you is actually rare to find in perfect
condition? Hence why I've acquired it for you knowing that you
were actually in town because I guessed that James wouldn't
willingly bring someone I don't know...' Then he stopped,
realising that he was again carried away.

Guntram wanted to jump with glee, but decided against, although
he did chuckle when Arvid patted him on the head.
"Sweet, come on, less jabbing and more showing," he said
excitingly as he handed him a safety vest, "follow me... and
thanks for the complement by the way."
He quickly escorted Arvid out to the flight area, where the
sound was very high due to the activity from the aircrafts. It
took at little while, but he eventually got them both across the
area to the hangar. There it stood, painted in a pretty navy
blue and white color scheme, it even still sported it's Navy
sign and designation number.* Granted it was currently in the
process of giving it some maintenance. One thing that did stand
out what what he had written on the tail, 'The Horten'.
"What do you say?" Guntram asked his firend with a smile, "she
is a beauty, isn't she? Just like the model. Speaking of which."
He gestured to a table at the wall where the Cougar was
standing, "i really love it. I can't believe you found it...
       thank you so much."

The deer was astonished by the engine, although the names made
his shiver. 'Beautiful machine you got there, I see you are a
man of culture as well': He responded seeing the machine before
his very eyes. He was surprised to see one in real life compared
to all the models his dear friend used to collect as a kid and
all the time they've spent together.'I've never thought I'd have
this chance one day given how my family can be, eerie.' : he
chuckled and looked at the beautiful machine before asking his
friend:' Can you make a demonstration of it flying?': He asked
       enthusiastically.
