Physical Appearance:
Arvid isn't exactly impressive but neither is he ugly. He stands
tall at a respectable height with a light brown fur coat and
blond hair. He seems to have potential but hasn't realized it
yet as he always seems to be very nervous in how his posture and
facial expression. In addition his antler seems to be bit
underdeveloped for his age, which hasn't helped him when
confronted by his peers.
Occupation:
Intern at his father's company
Residence:
At home at his family estate, but also has a summer house of his
own.
Personality:
Arvid is a very nervous and skittish fella. He is very socially
awkward and a social misfit. He tends to stammer a lot when in
close proximity to others and also has a strange tendency to
spurt out random trivia as some sort of reflex to it.
Furthermore, he is timid and shy as if the former awkwardness
wasn't enough, making it hard for him to approach others and
make friends, which has caused him to become a loner. It has
even caused him to start talking with himself a lot, which has
caused him to be picked on a few times in addition to making him
appear weird.
Things aren't much better on the homefront, where he is the
youngest of five siblings, all of whom have managed to get a
prospering career and are enjoying some degree of success as
opposed to him who is an intern for his father company. This has
caused to him to feel a lot of pressure and his father pushing
him to grow a spine and become independent doesn't help the
issue.
But it isn't all bad, he is his mother's favorite child and no
matter what happens he can always count on her to be there to
help him when he gets home. In addition to this, he is
incredibly well mannered and intelligent, he just lacks the
social skills to show it, which is something he envies others
for having, though not with resentment, more a slight ping of
self-loathing.
He also loves to draw, something he picked up from his mother
who is a architect. In particular he likes to sketch nature in
his freetime.
Finally, he is a hopeless romantic. He wants to find someone to
be together with, one who he can spend time with and bond with.
His mother also thinks it's just what he needs. Someone who
cares for him outside of the family. He only faces the problems
of being overlooked by almost anyone and lacking the skills and
courage to stand up and make his debut on the social scene.
Backstory:
Arvid Stjerne was born to a family of decent wealth and status
as the youngest brother of five siblings with two brothers and
twin sisters. His childhood wasn't the best despite his family's
wealth as he seemed to be a fish out of water. His family was
one that valued physical prowess and competition while he was
more of an intellectual and artistic type. This made him his
mother’s favorite but also made him an outcast in his family
which only got worse as they grew older.
While his brothers would engage in rugby and his sisters in
spear throwing and gymnastics respectively, he would just sit on
the sideline and either sketch nature or their activities while
awkwardly refuse to join in. This made his brothers kinda think
less of him as he didn’t really fit in with them, to the point
that they didn’t even think he belonged on the family portrait,
needless to say, this was more than a little demoralizing.
By the time he began in school he was already a social reject
that just isolated himself from the rest and left them be.
However, even he managed to make some friends. Another socially
awkward student, named Guntram Messerschmitt and a husky named
James Mitchell. The latter one surprised him as James seemed
like he would be the kind of guy his brothers would like. And
indeed, whenever he was over with him to play, they would
attempt to kidnap him to play games with them instead. He would
always come back however, remarking that while the brothers
certainly put him through his paces and gave him a good
work-out, it would never be the same as the friendship he and
Arvid shared. In return for his loyalty, Arvid helped the husky
with homework so he wouldn’t fail and was part of the reason
James made it so far as he did.The husky wasn’t stupid, he was
just a bit slow to comprehend the theory.
As for Guntram, he and Arvid shared some things in that they
were very passionate in their respective fields and just liked
to play with each other. Guntram was always there to be his
friend no matter what and Arvid kept supporting him on his dream
to take to the sky in a plane or kill the racing tracks as a
racer.
These friendships continued all the way to and through high
school where the isolation got even worse. But Arvid endured and
tried to push on. It was here he discovered that he was capable
of more than just sketching. He was simply an artistic prodigy,
excelling in damn near every artistic subject he engaged in from
music to sculpting. While this was a delight for his mother, his
father was disappointed as his final child wasn’t an athlete.
Which was why he urged to at least grow a spine and try to
achieve something after he graduated, at which point, his
siblings had prospering careers and bright futures. It was at
the point that he wasn’t allowed to live with his family all the
time and had to spent time in a summer house so he could learn
to live on his own. Less lavish than his home, but completely
his own, which was kinda nice. Now he is an intern at his
father’s construction company, doing all the jobs the others
don’t want to do and tries to construct his own identity and
find his way in life. But even with his childhood friends on
speed-dial it seems like a monumental task he has in front of
him. but he is from a family of fighters and while he is an
artist, he still has his family’s fighting spirit.
Trivial things: he will stutter and randomly say trivial things
under stress
