[Arc Final] The Gardens of Peace
By: Caroline Bishop Date: July 13, 2017, 8:08 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Caroline would place her hands on the doors that where at the
end where Future Ashura was and with a gentle push, they would
       swing open wide.
The gardens where back, but this time they where a bit
       different...
A ring of water still surrounded the edge of the gardens and it
was still full of life like pretty koi fish amoung many other
water creatures. But the center had, had a rather big change.
The tree that sat in the center and had covered most of the
garden with it's stretched out branches and beautiful deep green
leaves had a sort of hollowed out, see-through trunk. In fact,
most of the trunk was now a green-tinted glass that circled
around to fill the space of what would've been where the actual
trunk has been, but the glass section was hollow, enough space
was there for a mobian to fit, and fit a mobian it did. They had
       found where Sapphire was.
       "[shadow=crimson,right]Welcome to The Gardens,
everyone[/shadow]" Caroline would pipe up, as she ran a hand
along the top of one of the many bushes that where neatly placed
around the garden room. She was well aware that Team Trouble,
lead by Crystal, was not at all that far behind them, in fact,
the team could probably hear what was going on as they raced
through the corridor to also reach the gardens and the rest of
their teammates with their newfound information.
"[shadow=crimson, right]Your good friend, Soul's older self spent
many years growing all this[/shadow]" She would continue, not
turning back to look back to any of them as she made her way up
to the tree where her sister was trying to ram her shoulder into
the glass containing her. "[shadow=crimson, right]It's quite a
lovely place. I usually come here to relax, as you showed me to
do once upon a time Mother[/shadow]" In front of the tree, on
the ground, was a rectangular slab of metal, which, when
Caroline approached it, opened up, pushing up a cryo-tube
looking capsule similar looking to the ones that Future Veira
and Sakura had been found in. But it was bigger in size and was
       much more frosted over...
The cat put a hand on top of the glass of the capsule, staring
down at it with deep concentration, as though she could see
through the frost, falling silent for a few moments.
Around the garden's edges to keep the water at bay was a wall of
marble, which had seven small pillars with glass over the top of
them, seven brightly coloured gems sat under these glass
containers, each with a different colour. The power from them
was strong and pulsated throughout the room. It was almost as if
the room itself was shaped to bounce the power around it, as it
was circular in shape. The gems looked easy to take, but they of
course wouldn't be that simple... Shadow, or a version of him
that stood a little taller, looked a little scruffier and wore a
helmet that looked very much like the one Caroline had offered
the team's Shadow earlier, was pacing along the wall that kept
the water at bay, his eyes went to nothing and no one in
particular. Spaced out was a good word to describe the look on
his face. He wasn't alone either, as he paced, the other members
to Maria's squad where here too, each standing by an emerald,
except they all looked older too and unlike themselves. The
maker of the gardens was here as well, Future Soul took up
another spot guarding an emerald, and Future Ashura had drifted
       in to fill another.
"[shadow=crimson, right]Years ago.... The Hedgehog family took
away the only family I had.. I lost, well.. just about
everything, all in one swift day...[/shadow]" Caroline looked up
from the capsule, looking to the group of mobians whom had not
only made it inside her once impenetrable fortress, but where
now standing before her in her room of peace.
"[shadow=crimson, right]For so long I've been trying to get back
what I've lost, or at least the one that mattered the most. For
       years,
nothing worked...[/shadow]" She would then pause and look to
the capsule and then to Sapphire, still stuck behind the glass,
whom was now pounding a fist against it, pressing her forehead
to it before looking up, meeting her sisters gaze, the two
stared at each other for a few moments. Before Caroline broke
her gaze away and threw out her hand to shoot out a screen like
she had done earlier, only it was bigger, enough to show them
all. On the screen was a scene familiar to most, it was of Super
Sapphire, and when she had defeated Robotnik all those years
       ago.
"[shadow=crimson, right]But NOW, after all this time, I have
found a way. A way that'll work, and it'll not only bring back
who I lost, but it'll take away someone held dear to the one
that took her from me in the first place![/shadow]" She would
yowl, her eyes shrinking to slits as she glared at Sapphire.
"[shadow=crimson, right]There's just... One thing in the way..
[/shadow]" She would calm for a few moments, before pointing a
finger at the emeralds, one right after the other, before
pointing at Sapphire, the emeralds lit up, but nothing happened.
"[shadow=crimson, right]She used YOUR emeralds to transform and
therefore, needs them and not these one's to do so again. I
       can't use them.
My power doesnt work like that. But once she has transformed
with your emeralds, then I can[/shadow]" A burning red glowing
power would begin to flicker in Caroline's hands, as she stood
       behind the frost ridden capsule.
"[shadow=crimson, right]Thankfully, your team mates on Team
Trouble have brought those exact emeralds right to
me..[/shadow]" She would smile lightly, her eyes clouding over
with the galaxy-like space look that the memory room and memory
bubbles had done when both teams first entered them.
[center]"[shadow=crimson, right]So be a dear, and hand them
       over[/shadow]"

Re: [Arc Final] The Gardens of Peace
By: Blaze the hedgewolf Date: July 13, 2017, 3:59 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
With the fight with future Ashura over with, the group made
their way to the gardens again. Blaze, Ty, and Soul had made it
here before but something about it was different this time
around. For starters the tree in the center held their friend
Sapphire captured. Blaze and Veira both tensed up for a second
as they watched the hedgehog try and break free from her prison.
As Caroline began to speak, Veira felt a strong presence coming
from somewhere close by. When the pillars came out the ground,
the huntress gasped in shock. Caroline had the chaos emeralds.
Then she showed them an image most would remember all too well.
It was Super Sapphire and the final battle aganist the evil
doctor a few years ago. With the frozen capsule standing before
Caroline and the new arrivals of the future mobians it was clear
what Caroline wanted. Veira and Blaze both turned to Karahl for
a moment before looking at each other. A small worried look was
all Veira gave and Blaze got the message right away.
Blaze was the first to step forward not scared of the cat before
him. He crossed his arms slightly as he looked at the capsule
and the emeralds. He even looked up to Sapphire for a moment
before turning his attention towards the foe before him. He had
come so far, turn some of Caroline's forces to their side and
managed to reunite with his friends. And now....here they stand
       at the end game....
A small smile was on his face as he gave a whistle. " So i guess
my statement from before was right after all....now i get why
you are so ticked with the world....you lost Karahl and your
kids....and your supposed lover left you without a word. You
claim to have lost everything yet the one person whose been
trying to help you all this time....you still treat like dirt. "
he said as he unfolded his arms.
This time he pointed at Caroline. " Sapphire has tried to help
ease your pain and yet you pushed her away time and time again.
That supposed lover of yours put things in your head that made
you doubt things...the only real fool in this room is you
Caroline. You put everyone in this fear under your control
through fear....well no more. This ends here...if you want the
emeralds your going to have to take them from us. " Blaze stated
as he readied himself for the worst. He didn't want to fight but
if it was to free Sapphire and the others of this time....then
chaos have mercy on his soul.

       ---------------------------------------------------------
Like Blaze, the ice sibling deduced the many elements of the
room, a second set of chaos emeralds, a future Shadow with a
helment, other future counterparts of the G.U.N squad are there
guarding the mystical gems, the future characters he already
spotted on screen has also appeared alongside the team. Sapphire
trapped in a tree trunk made of glass, Caroline's speech and
having flashback memories of Super Sapphire putting an end to
       Robotnik.
He too stepped up standing alongside his brother. "If your plan
succeeds then what? Even if you revived your mother, you cant
expect things to go back to normal, she wont be happy you ruined
the lives of everyone else and sacrificed your sister to do it,
Karahl will be very dissappointed in you Caroline, its not too
late to fix this, release Sapphire and we can find another way
to get what you want, without hurting anyone" he remembered what
happened to Sapphire after she used the chaos emeralds.
He also attempted to reason with her, praying she would listen
and not have to do this the hard way.
"What the!?" Shadow stare upon the people guarding the emeralds,
especially himself wearing the helmet Caroline offered him prior
to thier next meeting in the garden. Eyes enlarged to reflect on
how appalled he is knowing the black hedgehog is going to wear
the device regardless of his choiceis. "Thats me.." he muttured.
Hell the horrible conditions of the future characters already
sent unpleasant chills in his spines, meeting them in person
amplified that feeling. Wanting to stay focused he stared at
Caroline, folding his arms preparing for worst.

By: Maria Hawkins Date: July 14, 2017, 9:52 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Maria was running as fast as she could down the corridor along
with the rest. Time was running out, they had to catch up to the
rest. Thankfully, they had gotten within hearing range and could
hear everything going down inside the garden. Once they arrived
she was horrified to see what was about to happen. Of course
they had heard Caroline's speech but seeing her like that, ready
to attack if they didn't hand over the emeralds was frightening.
"Please, listen to them. We know how much Karahl has meant for
you and why you would go to these lengths," she said, trying to
assist the elemental brothers to defuse the situation, "but even
love can't justify the sorry state the world has been left in.
Even if the Hedgehog family took everything from you, it doesn't
warrant this- this genocide. Like Ty said, what makes you think
she would want this. There is nothing but a wasteland and fear
awaiting her if this goes through. Please, here has to be
       another way."
It was first now that she really managed to take a good look at
the potential opposition as she reached for her weapon and what
she saw shocked her. There they were, the older squad. But her
older self had said, well more implied, that they were died when
she said they were gone. Of course, this could very well have
meant that they were no longer themselves and what she was
seeing here was mere shells under Caro's command. Honestly, that
made it even harder to swallow.

Upon entering the door, the hedgehog went in awe looking at the
spectacular garden bundles of bushes, beautiful plants and clean
waters. It feels like one can be at peace here. Knowing the
maker of this garden was also his future self gave him quite a
shock as well, despite it's natural beauty there were two things
the hedgehog did not like such as: the pulsing energy flowing
around the room and her friend Sapphire trapped inside the tree
trunk. "Yeah this place has nice landscape design and all, but I
think there's just one flaw in this design--- I don't like
placing my friends inside trees..." he sad as a joke but his
face intently had a stern look at the room, their future selves
       and Caroline.
The memory from years ago projected above triggered some painful
memories and feelings that making the hedgehog clench his fist
out of fear. "You have so much potential and are capable of
doing great things, but this isn't one of them...." he said
trying to convince the feline as well so as not to engage in a
fight. He hoped for the best for that's all he can do for now.

The garden was a sad place to meet one's end but the future she
was told about was indeed a very bleak one. And she wasn't
really ready to face any of that but tried to smile, knowing she
       wasn't alone.
Val arrived shortly after Maria but upon entering the garden,
Beastly manifested herself once more. The worst probably had yet
to come." Ahahahah! At last, I can meet you in person. I must
congratulate you for your work." The evil within Val had spoken
once more and it struggled to keep control of its host. " What's
next? Raising the dead?" then the beast went silent and Val
resurfaced." Pardon me, she's impulsive and adore your work..."
said the witch before crumbling into tears. "Was the path you
worth all the destruction and mayhem you left in your wake? "
After which she remained silent , perfectly knowing these words
       could be her last.

Re: [Arc Final] The Gardens of Peace
By: Karahl Date: July 14, 2017, 8:14 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Karahl followed Caroline and the others into the garden
silently; taking smooth, rhythmic strides which gave her the
illusion that she was almost gliding. The tigress kept her wits
about her as her cyan eyes scanned the beautiful garden...
       but not all was beautiful.
The Snow-Claw Ninja's eyes stared at just whom was trapped
within the tree - and she had a pretty idea just who might be in
that cryo-cylinder; her expression currently unreadable,
especially with her mask on, but it was clear that she was
thinking deeply when her body stopped moving just as Caroline
started to speak. She grew more tense as the seconds ticked by,
demands were given and words of attempted persuasion were
expelled in response to the hostile situation. Karahl's fur
wafted behind her from the expulsion of the cat's glowing red
power, and yet she stood tall against it; like a cold, bold wall
       against raging winds.
She moved again, closing in on Caroline shortly after her allies
had attempted to negotiate; some even taking the liberty of
saying what they think how she herself would react to the
       situation. Were they right?
They were about to find out.
Karahl was just in front of her future-daughter when she stopped
moving again. She could feel the tips of her fur singe from
being in such close proximity, but she showed no fear.
There was a brief pause before she spoke softly, "It's not fair
isn't it?" she said with empathy, her words ringing with an
eerie sense of déjà vu as she gently placed her hands on her
shoulders, "Do you know why I named you Caroline? Because it
means strong. It means strong and free woman. And that's exactly
what I saw in you the night I found you. Right now, you are
strong and beautiful... but you are not free are you?"
The Shinobi paused for a moment to look at Caroline directly in
the eyes before breaking off for a moment to look at Sapphire
with hopes of briefly being able to catch her gaze and cast
what was hopefully a reassuring look. She then looked back at
Caroline before continuing, "Just close your eyes and breathe.
You do not have to fret or grieve anymore. Caroline, you know
how important family is, no matter how much they can at times
make you feel sad, angry or drive you up the wall. As a family,
we look out for each other, no matter how trying the times may
be, no matter how we may feel like we would hate some of them.
Yes, sometimes they can let us down; leaving us feeling betrayed
and confused, but we still stand together. My darling, from the
day I met you I promised that I would protect you. I vowed to
protect my daughter with every fibre of my being... both of my
       daughters."
"Caroline." she then paused with a light sigh, "Let Sapphire go.
We will work this out together and if you are certain that there
is no other way to bring me back... well, the impossible hasn't
stopped us before now has it?"

At this point Sonic was a mess his spines were frazzled his eyes
we're bloodshot and they'd been in the past so long he'd started
to grow stubble around his muzzle. Seeing everything here had
turned him into a tuned out mess it was like living in a
nightmare he just couldn't wake up from. He spoke for the first
time in a while with a clear mind his voice violent and booming,
to match Caroline's demanding tone. "You think you can just
scare us into giving you the most powerful energy source on the
planet? Blaze & Ty here there's no way they'd buckle to your
insane demands, life has s,hit on these two over and over and
they keep on getting back up. After all the hardships and all
the pain the ice still hasn't shattered and the flames still
haven't gone out. Also you think Karahl's going to give you what
you want? She eats punks like you for breakfast literately!
She's a monster who probably belongs in a cage deadly as she is
beautiful and finally you're really stupid if you think you can
scare Sapphire. She's something else the picture on that monitor
proves it. When she grows up she's going to be the best of us.
These people are all insane psychopaths......and their my best
friends....." Sonic uttered taking a moment to process what had
just dropped from his lips, he walked forward unraveling the
bandages around his hands before shooting their enemy a glare.
"All this talk about power when you're nothing more than a
selfish child who can't deal with reality. You've warped time
and ruined countless lives just to suit this little game of
yours. Tails died, I dealt with it, When Sapphire died I dealt
with it, When Karahl died I ran so fast I yanked her soul back
from the brink, with my skills alone, all you've managed to show
us is that you're a scared little girl crying out for Mummy,
it's pathetic. I disagree with Karahl Caroline doesn't mean mean
strong........the more I see your face the more the word becomes
synonymous with weakness. [glow=red,2,300]YOU WANT THIS CHAOS
EMERALD! THEN COME AND SHOW ME YOU'VE GOT THE STONES TO TAKE
IT!"[/glow] Sonic said as he opened his mouth dropping the
emerald inside. He swallowed painfully forcing the emerald down
his throat. Panting to catch his breath Sonic sighed. "Oh boy
I'm going to regret that in the morning." He said with a small
chuckle before returning to a proud stance.

Re: [Arc Final] The Gardens of Peace
By: Ashura Date: July 16, 2017, 9:36 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Ashura would arrive in the garden last; behind all of Team
Trouble. Yes, he did run; but he was simply slower. Weighed down
much like earlier in this adventure into what was at best a
future only possible if the collective worst of the worst
happened in a domino effect. Much like before something was
building within him the entire time; strength. The price however
was his lack of mobility and speed while it began to rise. It
was strength he did not want to use unless he had to, his
emotions simply brought this side of him out. He watched the
future versions of the group intently; he saw his own quite
clearly. That one was broken, quite literally. Ashura vowed then
and there to not become that mess, but also that he would save
       them too.
The emerald green hedgehog had of course arrived just in time
for Caroline to begin her speech. Most, if not all of it only
amounted to the excuses made by a child with so much power yet
not a single positive outlet to speak of... Or at least no
positive outlet that she allowed herself to see or notice.
Instead she did this. She twisted time and space, caused so much
pain and suffering, all for one person in all of existence.
Selfishly, she sought to take revenge on people that had nothing
to do with this; blamed none other than her own sister for
something she had little no control over given current evidence.
Blaze spoke the truth about sisterhood. He, after all was a
sibling also; the twin to Ty, who also shared the same sentiment
as his fiery brother; wishing for Caroline to stop this. Maria,
Val (as well as the evils within her) and Soul understood the
potential Caroline had; and pleaded with her that it did not
have to result in a broken, hopeless wasteland. Sonic
understandably had enough of this. He wasn't feeling the groove
from the get-go, and if his actions in consuming a Chaos Emerald
whole didn't say enough; he was already so far off the deep end
that he was about to jump twice. Karahl spoke with clarity; far
more directly on the subject... In fact, she quoted her own
future self. Had she seen that memory also? Even if she did, she
also left something crucial out. She was not taken by anyone. It
was her sacrifice that allowed Amy; Sapphire's mother-- to live.
Karahl's future self knew the world was far bigger than her, and
not only that she believed in her precious Caroline.
There was no future here; only sadness. It would remain as such
if Caroline went through with her plan.
Listening to everything the people around him had said; Ashura
couldn't help but agree, he walked forward still. Close enough
that Caroline could hear him clearly; Ashura spoke, a rather
serious tone came from him, matching a similar expression. "The
Karahl that you knew as your mother.... I know for a fact that
the Caroline she believes in would never do this." The Snow-Claw
       shinobi before them that still lived would prove this as true;
as she also more or less said the same thing.
He was stern, yet spoke calmly. "Know this: You are not the only
one that suffers." Ashura glanced over to where his current
future self was before turning back to Caroline. "You are not
the only one that has lost a loved one. My own father is gone,
and it hurts; but unlike you I listened to his last words, to
this day I remember them. I am his legacy."

"You think these cursed Chaos Emeralds will bring her back? They
won't. They are dangerous, and things will go wrong." Once more,
Ashura brought out his precious rock; the one that looked like a
Chaos Emerald; yet exuded none of the same power, as far as
anyone knew it simply looked kinda neat. It had far more value
than that. It was a symbol; not of power; but of peace. He held
it high, for all to see; perhaps especially his future self. The
gem refracted some light and glittered even more.
[center][glow=green,2,300]"This is the only rock I will ever
need. It is worth far more, and has power within it beyond
       compare."[/glow][/center]

[I]"She doesn't- YIPE!"[/I] A familiar voice that seemed like it
had disappeared, would sound for a few words from the door, but
there'd be nobody there, Sara had been yanked out of the room as
soon as she had entered, Carlos had realised at the last second
just where they were, and had no intention of their duo being
spotted by Caroline, especially as they had left a trail of fake
emeralds in case Caro tried to snap the last two from them. No.
That was the job of somebody else on the team. Somebody who had,
not through orders, but through his own intentions, tried hard
to win a way forward with "the foe". And, well, he's still
       alive.
       [glow=white,2,300][I]"bonne chance, Monsieur
       Portobello."[/I][/glow] [I]"Don't do anything I wouldn't do!
owo"[/I] Speaking of an orange cat with a suit and a rose. Once
his two teammates had moved out of the way, joining the crew in
the gardens, would be the mark of... uh... Mark. [I]"That old
lover... There was no love in his eyes."[/I] he would say as he
entered and looked around, he'd spot the capsule, and Karahl in
front of Caroline. [I]"This might be a problem."[/I] [I]"OR an
opportunity. Nibor got me out of there, Madoka has her uses, and
now Captain Koenigsegg is interested in providing your new
missus with a Rank 7 job. Say, handling Team 5792?"[/I] [I]"it's
almost frighteningly convenient. But i'll give it a go! To give
my beautiful Caroline a new life away from here!"[/I] with his
thought communications with Pontiac complete [I](The Madoka and
Nibor thread may be a bit behind)[/I] , Mark would begin to
wander towards the duo. The others not being too close to
Caroline and her mother, gave him an opportunity, and if an
opportunity meant making life better for who he hoped would be
his wife one day, he would take it.
[I]"I've seen a hundred experiments with the people that I work
with. The energies are wrong in here, such an experiment is
doomed to failure."[/I] he would say as he approached the duo.
[I]"Such a beautiful lady, there is no need to do something so
damaging. It will only break more things. Things that we all
want to fix."[/I] Mark would point towards Karahl. [I]"Your
mother is here, beautiful Caroline. Almost right in front of
you. And she and her friends now know of her death, so they can
act to stop it from happening when the time comes."[/I] he would
point out. And that was true, wasn't it? Wouldn't those in the
immediate group, work to rescue the tiger if they knew that she
       was in danger?
Providing that Caro didn't stop him, the cat would take hold of
one of Caroline's hands. [I]"You do not have to live in this
place in life my beautiful, you do not have to fear that someone
will try to kill you every day, my friends, the people that I
know, they know of what you have done, and they still want to
meet you, to offer you another chance, in a completely new
environment, helping people who need it."[/I] Mark had briefly
mentioned that he had a job, but hadn't gone into too many
details. [I]"One of the bosses even wants to meet you, as soon
as is possible! What do you say, my sweetest?"[/I] he would ask.
Hoping that she would be willing, after all, the idea of leaving
all her hatred and problems behind was something she hoped for,
       right?
