Sacha hugged Maria before she left with no explanation. And
walked to Viera and leaned toward her.:" I am counting on you to
keep her safe. You girls be nice while we're gone and ....get
out of the hospital I will sign Val's paper so do something
fun." He winked and smile, his enthusiast was a strange sight
but he meant well. He then followed Petrov outside for they had
some errands to run....
While everybody else left the room Val was happy to finally have
some calm and got out of bed. The floor was cold under her feet
and the hospital gown wasn't warm either." I guess that my
clothesa from yesterday are trashed like the skin of my back?"
She asked curiously before sitting down on the bed again which
was still warm.

" Heh ah...sorry bout that. Oh that reminds me...here you go. "
she added as she reached in her backpack for a spare pair of
clothes. " It's not much but it should help with covering a few
things il we get to your place. " she replied with a smile. "
Wouldn't want you walking in the nude hehe. " she added with a
small laugh at the end.

Maria returned Sacha's hug and managed a small smile before
continuing on her way. As she entered the elevator however, she
started to realize the weight of the situation. What she had
agreed to do was nothing short of treason. She used to work here
during crises and while she wasn't formally inducted into the
staff, she could be considered an honorary member... and now she
wasn't just going to steel from them and even take someone from
their family, potentially devastating them. And for what? ...to
help her friends. But this went again everything she believed
in. Maximum amount of happiness for the maximum of people. She
looked at her own hands as the elevator arrived in the basement.
"Alright Maria... you can do it," she muttered and slowly
stepped forward and went for the freezer, "it would make both
Viera, Sacha and Val happy."
"But what if the other methods were easier?" an voice in her
head asked, "you're potentially betraying and turning your back
on everyone."
"NO, not like that, i- it- it has to be done, to avoid further
incidents, further casualties."
"Even you know that this is harming more people than it is
helping... you should be ashamed of yourself, going against your
own morals like this. All just for them. You said it yourself,
you'll do anything for the city. To betray the staff and a
family is worse than turning your back on your frie-"
"SHUT UP!" Maria exclaimed and clutched her head before opening
the door to the body storage, "i- i know what... what i am
doing."
Still, as she walked in her vision began to be disrupted by
water as tears started to appear... what was she going to do?'
"Right, so where do we start?" James asked as the group exited
the hospital, "we know the lantern and the coins are going to be
tricky to track down."
"I suggest we start at the top of the list then," Petrov
shrugged, "gives somewhere to start."
"Then let's head to the market... might as well start there,
right?" Sabine asked as she followed behind, happy to be walking
again.

While Val was with Viera, getting ready to go. Beastly had
another idea in mind and projected her astral form in the
freezeer where Maria was." Little doe~ I have a proposition for
you, you might even like it." The astral beast smirked and
entered a corpse to animate it. The slab slided and the corpse
face began to speak. "Maria..... You want to save Val and I
don't want to live in a corpse, if you would fail to deliver the
corpse they will have to do another ritual and do it
differently, no one do anything they wouldn't want and both me
and Val are safe and will split and no one gets harmed."
While in the city Sacha gave to them the direction to the
esoteric shop." They don't sell real magic but still have
valuable items that even Val would use. " Sacha pulled Petrov in
a corner and whispered:" Could you call Maria? Just to make sure
she's....okay? " He asked almost , shyly?
It was uncommon to see Sacha like tjis but the old man was a new
and kind man. " Oh James, the coins must be pure Bronze and the
Lamp must be pure Iron and She forgot to mention it but bring
sea salt just in case."
Val's eyes changed and grabbed Viera's hand. It was Beastly.:"
Hello sweety, I want to nake a deal with you if you want to get
rid of me. If the doe bring the corpse I want you to sabotage it
and usecthe third ritual instead. This way I get a body, I get
out of your precious girl and you don't hear about me for a
while. Val won't remember this conversation nor does she knows
that I am awake. Just do as I say and you two can keep your
lovey dovey relationship I loath ahahah..." Beastly disappeared
and Val smiled to Viera.
"Do you think we could have some time alone before the ritual?
It's the first time that can be alone and I thought that maybe
we could at least have diner?" She asked her on a gentle tone
and kissed her cheek.

Veira was surprised by the sudden change in Val's tone as she
grabbed her hand and tensed up when she found out it was Beastly
talking to her. She listened to the beast and blinked in
surprise. She wanted the third option? But why would she want
the third option? It didn't make any sense but it did bond with
Veira's choice seeing as everyone else choose option 1. A small
frown was all she gave for the moment as she considered her
options.
Then Val had returned to normal causing the hunters to snap out
of her little trance before nodding to her friend. " Yeah sure
that sounds good Val. Umm..listen what if we can't do option
1would you be against doing option 3? " she asked her friend as
she looked to her in a slightly concern expression.

Maria gasped and stepped away from the projection of Beastly.
This couldn't be happening, was she hallucinating? Was she
freezing too much? Why was she seeing this?
As if that wasn't enough Beastly then possessed the corpse and
made her leap back with a shriek, "Stay- stay away, you
monster!!"
She was hyperventilating by the time the offer had been made and
she just stood there and looked at the corpse. She slowly walked
forward and knelt down to it and felt her stomach turn, but not
for the reason one would expect. She was used to blood, more so
than she wanted to admit. What was getting her was the disgust
of her actions, to think she would desecrate something like this
to help... her friends. But then again, if she did she would be
betraying the entire hospital. But if the didn't she would be
betraying her friends. The thoughts of outcomes, risks and dread
started to become overwhelming as she picked up the body... and
placed it back in the freezer before shutting it. She couldn't
do it... not when she was going to betray so many people she
cared for. She sobbed and tried to contain herself as she
reached for the radio, she would report her failure and then
make her way to the roof. Hopefully Guntram would fly her back
to base... she couldn't stomach having to see her friends again.
Sabine and James nodded to the old wolf after receiving the
instructions, "then lets get going."
As they started to move they noticed what Sacha did but wrote it
off, they would likely catch up. Petrov meanwhile looked at the
old wolf, a bit perplex. He didn't strike him as the caring
type.
"A bit of an unorthodox request... but if it grants you peace,"
he shrugged and reached for his radio, "Sentinel, you're there?
This is Undertaker, status update."
"I- i... i can't," Maria's distressed voice responded, "i- i
failed... i can't turn my back on the entire hospital staff by
stealing from them. I- i am making my way to... to the roof to
meet with- with Guntram. From there... from there i will just go
back to base... i ca- can't face them... without what i
promised."
"Seems it was good we called," Petrov said while not holding the
speak button, "got anything you want to tell her?"
He unhooked his radio and passed it to the old wolf, "now, we
got to catch up with the other two."

Sacha looked worried :" Da, just tell her that it's okay. She
don't need to panic and she hasn't failed anyone. Just hold
on..." He said while entering the shop and gave the list to the
shop clerk who came to greet them. "Hello ! Oh it's you Sacha,
what is it this time? Is it for your memory?" To which he
responded with.:" Nyet, my memory came back just give me the
items on the list and don't ask question, it's an emergency. "
The feline lady looked at him with dread and went inthe back.
"Do not worry friends, she is a reliable ....witch."
Val looked at Viera a bit puzzled but smiled.:" It would be
like...being a parent I guess so I have no objections at all.
Maybe she could find solace in a new body that would be her
pwn... And hopefully, maybe have a change of heart? Maybe you
could, help? " She didn't say anything else. Nervousity kicked
in and she blushed. "Eh..nevermind" And looked away . "Let's
find some food.." She quickly changed the subject and smiled.

Veira looked at Val as she gave her response. The huntress
sighed with a bit of relief and nodded with a smile. As they
headed out the hospital, Veira's thoughts lingered on about
Beastly's odd request. To be fair, Veira knew the risks of
coming up with a corpse. The thing is that wouldn't last very
long and Beastly knew this which is why option 1 would be no
good. The second required a bit much as well which in turn would
not bold well for them either. So option 3 had to be the right
choice...right?
As they continued the walk, she thought about Val's words. About
teaching Beastly to hav a change of heart and being a parnt. She
was already suppose to have a kid to begin with. Maybe this
could be a practice run? Shaking her head a bit, she looked to
Val. " So what are you hungry for Val? " she replied with a
smile.

Petrov was a bit curious that Sacha didn't tell her himself but
shrugged and followed.
"It's alright Sentinel," he assured her as they caught up to the
others, "Sacha wants you to know that you haven't failed anyone
and that there is no reason to panic. Just meet up with Guntram
and wiat until we specify a location for the ritual... you
wouldn't bail on us like that, would you?"
"I- i... i guess not, i will be there, you can count on me,"
Hawkins answered.
"Excellent, Undertaker over and out."
Once at the shop James and Sabine just stood there and browsed,
well James did to some extent while Sabine seemed to bored
though anything that resembled a weapon seemed to get her
attention. "We aren't worried about her... not yet anyway,"
Sabine answered the shopkeeper.
Meanwhile at the hospital Maria was on her to the top floor,
tears still staining her cheeks. Maybe she hadn't failed, but
she had been so close... and now the plans would be in
jeopardy... how was that not her fault? She exited the elevator
and went to the Staff area and began climbing the stars to the
roof.
"Guntram... i need a pick-up," she sighed as she exited onto the
roof, "i- i failed."
"What do you mean?" Guntram asked, "how did you fail?"
"I- i couldn't get the body... i couldn't turn my back on the
staff and whoever family the corpse came from... i couldn't."
"I understand, don't be too harsh on yourself... please. I will
be there soon, 2 minutes max."
"Thank... thank you, Sentinel... out."

Val shrugged then said:" those weird things you had me taste
once? Anything would be fine, as long as you're here with me?"
She seemed worried but the circumstances didn't helped either. "
Do you think , I could change her? "
Meanwhile at the shop.
The clerk came back with the items and wrapped them carefuly.
"Sacha don't do anything reckless.." the old man left the money
on the counter and grabbed them items and shove it in his bag.
"Now then, someone's hungry? We have to wait for the night and
have time to kill. Suggestions anyone? Also I hope Maria will be
okay. She seems fragile lately.." The old man shown his concern
toward someone he called a friend he had just met. " and please
no alcohol...one brawl is enough."
