Re: [Arc] Familiar place, Familiar face?
By: Maria Hawkins Date: July 3, 2017, 4:07 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Maria couldn't believe that it had gotten down as it did, but
she couldn't be happier that it had turned out. To be honest she
couldn't help but feel sorry for the hedgehog as she hugged
       Ashura.
However, it would appear that her attempt to appeal for
team-spirit hadn't exactly worked. However, something else had
been revealed from it. That the real Sapphire had been with them
and an exchange had happened at some point.
This sadly only posed more questions. First, when did that
change occur for them not to notice a thing? Second, and
potentially more importantly, where was the original Sapphire
       now?
"In that case, where would she be then?" Maria asked Crystal
curiously, "because you would have had to replace at some point
when we weren't able to notice it. The more important thing is
what has happened to her now and where she is now... but right,
i suppose that can wait. We got something else to focus on."
As if on cue the lack of gravity returned and they were sorta
back to before the whole thing went crazy. So that meant it was
       time choose.
"Well, i guess it is time to learn a few things then," Maria
trailed as she got over to the screens and picked Karahl, "Lady
       Karahl, what do you know?"
She then backed away from the screens to see what would happen
and managed to catch a glimpse of Tails' condition out of the
corner of her eyes. Not thinking twice she worked herself over
to him and Amy to examine the Fox for damage from the hit.
"Are you okay?" she asked him, even if it was obvious that he
wasn't really, and attempted to figure out how badly injured he
was or if it was just superficial and no bigger treatment was
needed. Hell, she could perhaps get her future self to help her,
see if she would still be able to put her own issues aside to
help others... even if she doubted it.

Val had been surprised by the events and seeing that a
switcharoo happened without her picking the new scent was odd.
But the green ...hedgehog? Was an interesting character even
cappable to cool down a very agresdive roddent with a spikey
       hammer.
The future was a bit confusing(even compared to her perception
of the modern world) and left the she wolf wondering what was
her role in this grand turn of event. " Is there anything or
anyone ai can assist? I feel like I haven't fulfilled my role on
       this team.."

"I will show you where she is. But in return for something else"
She would say in response to Maria.
"The emeralds. I have two of them but I need the seven of them.
It will make her happy too" She would finally let go of Ashura,
hugging her arms lightly before holding out a hand, waiting to
be given the gems she asked for in return.
When asked if he was okay, Tails would grimace before shaking
his head in honesty "I think she broke something.. But I think
I'll manage" He didnt look like he was about to stop anyone from
trying to help though. Maria's future self for now, floated,
staring at the screen of Maria, not seeming to pay much mind to
that she had drifted upside down at this point.
       ----
       [i]
When Karahl was selected, the space environment they where
floating in would disappear, their surroundings instead becoming
that of a hospital setting. Anything they tried to touch would
result in them phasing through it, they couldn't speak to anyone
but those watching in on the memory and could only be seen in a
similar way. When their surroundings finished coming into view,
they appeared to be in a hallway of a hospital, Karahl and Sonic
where there too, albeit a bit older then the ones the group is
used to. "I'm sorry but-" A doctor would speak up to the pair
from a doorway, but Sonic held up a hand as Karahl's hears
pinned back against her skull and her eyes went to the floor.
The doctor took the hint and began to close the door, "I am
truly sorry." They would say before finally closing the door the
whole way. Sonic would watch as the tigress sunk to her knees on
the floor, placing a comforting hand against her back for a few
moments before having the tiger raise again and look him in the
eyes. "[shadow=cyan, right]I need to be alone for a little
while[/shadow]" She would say, the hedgehog would nod in
response, letting the tiger leave quietly out a window of the
hospital. The group would be jolted forwards to follow along
behind Karahl, as she scaled across the roofs of houses, not
stopping till she had reached the darkest part of the town that
she possibly could. Once she stopped, she pulled up her mask and
rubbed her eyes, trying not to be overwhelmed by the news. Her
attention went to the first thing to catch her attention as she
attempted to find anything to distract herself...
The floor soon became a stone pavement, rain would begin to pour
down around them. The sky was night at this point, the only
light there was, was from the moon, stars and faulty street
lights that ran across the sides of the street they where on.
Their area in particular seemed to lack a lot of light, and
seemed to be furthest away from the street lights.
As the rain poured down, it made loud panging noises against a
rusted tinned roof that hung above a bit of pavement
dangerously. This bit of roof was connected to an abandoned
shack looking house made of wood, which was heavily rotted, it's
windows where shattered, glass still littering the ground below
       them...
There would be a clacking of heels against the pavers, the
clacking belonged to a pair of glittery silver high heels, worn
by a slender, tall white cat lady, whom had a matching dress and
gloves as well as a band around her hair with an elegant white
feather attached to it and a long fluffy scarf that hung cozily
around her neck. With glittery red lips and eyeshadow, she
seemed to be carrying something small and fluffy... Although
both her and what she was carrying had been washed down by the
       rain.
When the lady reached this worn down building, she would exclaim
a sigh of relief, kneeling down and placing the small bundle of
white fur into a damp cardboard box which had been poorly hidden
under the broken bit of the roof that hung down. "There you are,
sorry little dear, but Mummy can't afford to keep you around.
Your abilities are... Too unpredictable and dangerous and you
could ruin my reputation." Inside the box, the ball of fluff
unraveled and turned out to be a young kitten, whom pawed at the
edges of the box, trying to get out and back to her mother.
"Good luck" The lady would say to the kitten, before she
returned to her feet and strode off down the street and out of
       sight.
Not even the loud drumming from the rain could then block out
the distressed, lonely mews that would ring out from the
cardboard box afterwards, as again the kitten tried to hoist
herself out of box, extending her tiny claws to help, but only
to find herself falling back down into the box, whimpering.
Karahl would take a breath as she slid down from the roof she
was on, the whimpering of the child ringing through her ears, a
sound she wished she was able to hear after having a child
herself. But she couldn't... She tried not to, but she soon
found herself being overwhelmed with emotions when she had
reached a short distance away from the box, she was still in the
shadows, but she could tell the kitten was trying to see her.
A hopeful meow sung out from the box.
Karahl wouldn't wait longer, trying to collect herself, she
would stride over, her bright cyan eyes staring down at the
young feline, she knelt down, her tail curling behind her.
       "[shadow=cyan,right]It's not fair isn't it?[/shadow]" She would
say to the kitten, the temperature around them cold enough that
Karahl's words came out in puffs of white mist.
The tigress would reach her hands into the box, gently pulling
the young mobian out of it and lifting her up to hold her out
infront of herself. The kitten would wiggle her little feet in
the air, her tail trailing around in the air. She had nothing on
but a little bell which had been tied around her neck with a red
fabric, the bell was a bit big on the cat, but still jingled
       when she moved it enough.
""[shadow=cyan, right]How people like your parents, who can have
kids have the audacity to abandon a little life like your own,
like you're something that's as disposable as any item. While
people like me can't even bare their own children and would give
anything to have such luck in being able to[/shadow]" The two
feline's stared at each other for a few moments, even though the
kitten was young, her stare was full of understanding. The stare
was broken when the cat reached her little hands out to the
tiger, trying to grab her nose, and exclaimed "Mmmaaa!"
A soft, warm smile would spread across Karahl's face at this and
she would get to her feet, hugging the smaller cat close as if
she where her own child. "[shadow=cyan, right]You need someone to
look after you...[/shadow]" She would pause.
"[shadow=cyan, right]I'll keep you safe till, okay? I
promise-Oh[/shadow]" The kitten had fallen asleep in the safety
       of Karahl's arms...
Soon, they appeared to be in a bedroom, which had the lights on,
Karahl seemed to be reading a bedtime story of some sort, but
lightning would strike outside and then everything was black the
lights would shut out and the two where left in the darkness, a
soft young voice would call out from the dark soon, "Mummy?
Mummy!? Mother I'm scared.. It's too dark. I'm scared of the
dark Mother" "[shadow=cyan,right]Shhh.. I am always here for
you, even when you can't see me, you will always have me around
to keep you safe[/shadow]" "Promise?" "[shadow=cyan, right]Cross
       my heart[/shadow]"
The scene would then change, and they would find themselves in
the backyard of a cozy looking house. Sonic stood in the doorway
leading to the outside, while Karahl sat in the grass alongside
       a young Caroline, "[shadow=cyan,right]You can't keep loosing
control of your powers Caroline[/shadow]" "I'm sorry Mother..."
Karahl placed a finger under Caroline's chin to lift up her
dropped head, "[shadow=cyan, right]Do not be sorry, just promise
you'll try to work on it for me[/shadow]" "O-of course Mumma!
I'll try..." The doubt in her voice was as clear on her face as
it was as she spoke. Karahl pondered to herself as she looked at
the young cat before her, "[shadow=cyan, right]I might have an
idea[/shadow]" Caroline would look up at the tiger with
curiosity "[shadow=cyan, right]Close your eyes, just breathe,
whenever you feel like you're loosing control, just channel your
thoughts and remember to breathe.[/shadow]" Caroline would close
her eyes and take in a few deep breaths. Once she opened her
eyes again, she seemed more sure of herself and more relaxed,
"You know how to fix everything Mother" Karahl would smile as
the young cat embraced her in a warm hug as thanks.
The two would soon find a barley walking Sapphire trying to
climb into Caroline's lap, which would make the cat laugh.
Karahl couldn't help but to smile seeing the two getting
       along...
The scene would change again and Karahl was sitting down again
with Caroline, both in meditating positions where they sat,
Karahl was much better at it then Caroline, but the cat got
better and better each time. "[shadow=cyan, right]You know you
can always come to me if you're ever troubled dear,
       yes?[/shadow]" "I know Mother" "[shadow=cyan,right]Good, we best
start more training now, you're getting better and better
Caroline[/shadow]" This would result in a warm smile from both
felines. "I have the best teacher"
As the memories played out, they seemed to become a bit fuzzier,
a bit faded, as though, they where remembered but. The memory of
them was slowly but surely disappearing.
They where with Karahl and Caroline again, mostly Karahl and it
seemed to flick through a number of quick memories, her watchful
eye kept a close watch on her feline daughter, and on Sapphire,
and concern had began to arise as Caroline took lone trips out,
disappearing for long hours each day, returning late at night
without much word on what she'd been doing throughout the day.
There was tension rising between the sisters, and Karahl knew
it, she could see it bubble and boil...
She would soon be sitting with a more grown up Caroline now.
Both relaxed with proper postures. The room was dark, the way
she liked it to be. But something was wrong. She opened one of
her eyes, which glowed gently in the dark to look at Caroline,
whom kept flinching and twitching as though she could not focus
       or concentrate. "[shadow=cyan,right]What has you
troubled?[/shadow]" She would ask respectfully, "Nothing mother.
I just wish that someday, I'll be as skilled as you are at this"
"[shadow=cyan, right]Hmmhmhm, my dear Caroline, is it all but a
matter of clearing your mind of all things troubling you. Push
them to the very back, you may revisit them later afterall, and
let yourself, if but for a few moments. Be at Peace...[/shadow]"
Caroline would take in a deep breath, and when she let that
breath out, some sparking flames bubbled up at her hands, but
they soon faded away. "Thank you mother..."

       ---------------------------------------------------------
The scene would have another change and the group would instead
find Karahl with Amy Rose, the two looked at each other and
nodded "[shadow=cyan, right]This shouldn't take us too long,
we'll be right back[/shadow]" the tiger assured the rest around
the two, which the team would now be able to see was Tails,
Sonic and other familiar faces, like Ty and Blaze. "Are you sure
you don't want anyone else to go with you-"
"[shadow=cyan, right]We've got it covered[/shadow]". The setting
flipped and Karahl and Amy where outside alone, and quickly
making their way to a machine that looked very much like the
work of Robotnik. The day was gloomy and looked like it might
threaten to rain sooner or later, but that didn't worry the duo,
as they had a mission to complete which they knew would make the
world a safer place for their kids...
The machine was large. Large enough to have that they knew they
would have to travel through it, as they had planned to do so
already in order to destroy it from the inside out while the
others worked on ridding the city of other Robotnik goons. It
wasn't too much of a task for the two to get in, nor was it
difficult for them to find the part of the machine they hoped to
destroy to shut Robotnik down for good. [shadow=cyan, right]I
have a bad feeling about all this, it's been-[/shadow]" "It's
all been too easy, I know, I agree..." The women shared
concerned expressions before pressing on, they couldn't spot
anything to suggest danger and they had to destroy this machine.
Amy would pull a device that looked like a bomb of sorts and
would place it on the core of the machine, flipping a switch and
pressing a red button on it to activate the countdown. The girls
both paused as a beeping not made by either sounded out and
would look up to see a second, much shorter countdown then their
planted bomb. It was as though the place rigged itself to blow
if another bomb was planted inside it.
They had seconds to get out before the entire thing blew.
The two didn't need invitations, both would bolt back out the
way they came as fast as they possibly could, Amy wielding her
hammer, would attempt to smash the side of the machine in hopes
to create a new way out, but there was some sort of force field
preventing her. "This was a trap!" Karahl didn't respond, but
she knew it was true, as the two ran to escape, the new
countdown began to pop up on every single screen they went past,
       and even along the walls.
       [00:30]
They both skidded around the corners, jumping over and shoving
anything that got in the way of them and the exit.
       [00:20]
Another corner, another couple of doors, both had forgotten just
how big this machine was when navigating through it to find it's
core. It was like a maze, had they even taken the right route
back out? They didn't know, had the machine's design and rooms
changed to trick them while on their way back out? They just
       didn't know.
       [00:10]
Another corner was all it took to see the door that was their
way out, but it was up the other end of a corridor-like part of
the machine and badniks had finally decided to show to try and
stop them on their way out...
       [00:09]
"[shadow=cyan, right]Amy, it was a pleasure working with you, I
wish we had gotten the time to know each other a bit
better[/shadow]" Karahl would begin, and when Amy summoned her
hammer, Karahl would shake her head.
       [00:08]
"[shadow=cyan, right]Promise me you'll look after my daughter for
me[/shadow]" "Wh-what're you saying? I'm not leaving you here!
       We'll battle out together!"
       [00:07]
"[shadow=cyan, right]We can't both make it, I can throw you out,
please look after her for me[/shadow]"
       [00:06]
       "Karahl! Please!-"
       [00:05]
The hedgehog wouldn't have much of a choice as the tiger picked
her up with one hand and proceeded to launch Amy across the room
and out the door to safety.
       [00:04]
       [00:03]
       [00:02]

       [00:01]

       [00:00]

       [shadow=orange,left]BOOM[/shadow]
Her airs would ring, and a sudden lightness would wash over her
body, everything would go a bright white and Karahl would loose
all her sense briefly until she felt herself being lifted up.
Her ears still rung but she could hear someone crying, she
blinked, looking dazed and it wouldnt be long till pain shot
throughout her entire body, causing her teeth to clench and her
       eyes to squeeze shut.
There would be the sound of feet pounding, Caroline had rushed
over, she looked heavily pregnant and even more panicked,
shocked and in disbelief, Amy held Karahl out to Caroline,
knowing how close the two where, even though she was distraught
herself. "I-I'm sorry I tried to-" Caroline would shoot Amy a
look and a silent thanks and the hedgehog would fall silent.
Sinking to her knees, Caroline rested Karahl's head in her lap,
tears welling up in her eyes, she felt for a heart beat, a
pulse, and to her amazement and delight, she found a light one.
"Mother!" She would cry, and the tiger's slowly opened again,
but they wouldn't have the same light life in them as they once
did. The tiger smiled up at the cat, reached up and running a
blood smeared hand across one of Caroline's cheek, staining the
cat's usual snow white fur with blood. She dared not to look
down at the metal parts that stuck out through her body in
various places. Neither did Caroline. "Mother... I'm sorry... I
should've been there for you.." Caroline would say softly as
tears began to roll down her face. Karahl would shake her head,
looking to Caroline's stomach "[shadow=cyan, right]You must look
after them, born yet or not...[/shadow]" Karahl took in a deep,
unsteady breath, her breathing was becoming raspy and faint, she
could feel herself struggling to get more of it into her lungs,
"[shadow=cyan,right]..D..Do you know why I named you
Caroline?[/shadow]" Caroline would shake her head, sniffing as
Karahl put a hand under her chin like she always used to when
the cat was sad. "[shadow=cyan,right]Because.. It means strong.
It means strong and free woman. And that's exactly what I saw in
you the night I found you. A strong, beautiful free woman, and
it's exactly what you've grown up to be as well[/shadow]" Tears
would fall from the tigers eyes as she took in another deep
breath, this one was even more difficult then the last.
"[shadow=cyan, right]I couldn't.. Be any more proud... Of what
you have become...[/shadow]" She gripped on tightly to one of
Caroline's hands, as the pain coursed through her body again,
"[shadow=cyan, right]Keep maing me proud... Sweet Caroline...
Look after your children.. As I have looked after
you...[/shadow]" Karahl's eyelids began to droop and she was
feeling herself become more and more distant, and more and more
lightweight... Caroline pulled her into a close hug, she knew
the cat didn't want to let her go.... The tiger rested her chin
on Caroline's shoulder, putting her arms around the cat as she
closed her eyes, "[shadow=cyan, right]I need you to be strong...
Keep being strong...[/shadow]" She would whisper, but only just,
before she felt the tiredness wash over her completely, her body
would shut down, slumping against her daughter lifelessly....
The memory faded to black as Karahl's life came to an end, and
the group would be back in the galaxy like room with the
       screens....

Maria nodded to Tails as he assured her as he would be alright.
It didn't look good, but for now she would have to trust the fox
that he would be alright. They had many more important things on
       their hands.
She then looked at Crystal as she offered to show them where the
real Sapphire was being kept in return for the chaos emeralds.
However, much as she wanted to comply, it was clear from her
facial expression as she took it out of her backpack and as she
looked on it that she wasn't keen on complying outright. Her
response was further delayed when she layed her eyes on her
older self as she appeared to have gone into a trance in front
of the portrait of the unit. It was further reinforced by the
fact that she was upside-down without seemingly noticing. She
wanted to go over and comfort her, however, seeing as she was so
jumpy and broken made her think twice. There was no saying what
she could do if she unintentionally spooked her. So instead she
focused on Crystal and her offer.
"Really now?" she asked, it was clear that she was distrustful
even if she really didn't want to be, it was just hard for her
to trust someone that had just caused such a mess, "and what
will you do with them? I will hand it over, but i would like to
know what it would used for before i hand it over. I think that
       is more than fair."
Before she could get an answer though, the memory started to
play and suddenly they were in for a massive rollercoaster of
emotions as they saw how Karahl's life had played out for this
future. It was nothing shor of gut wrenching and by the end
Maria had noted that tears was flowing freely down her cheeks.
"Poor child," she trailed as the memory ended and she looked
down for a bit, "life just wouldn't give her a break it would
seem. No wonder she went completely mad. Maybe that leaves with
a bit of hope for her. But that remains to be seen."
She then carefully extended her hand to Crystal, though she was
still holding it very firmly. "So, what do you want to use it
       for?"

"Here young miss, but you have to promise us no harm. Can you do
that?" She asked with a sincere smile to the hedgehog. The she
wolf was still in pain and had a few broken bones but she kept
her smile even if danger was ahead. " I suppose that you can
also help us to find the others? I might have no future but they
do, and I want to make sure of it.." Then she sat down from
exhaustion and chuckled , maybe her natural painkillers were a
little strong so she didn't realised how potentially dangerous
their situation was but she signed up for that mission.

By: Ashura Date: July 16, 2017, 8:11 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Hug confirmed? Yeah, Ashura could totally go with that. The dark
blue hedgehog really looked like she needed one regardless of
having broken down or not. Oddly enough; she said he looked like
her dad. Jeez Louise, this couldn't possibly be his kid, not
with how similar she was to Sapphire. "Now now, there is no need
for name-calling." Ashura spoke as he wiggled one finger on a
free hand. "You are her height, or close to it as is. Heck, even
I'm not much taller than either of you." Finally being let go,
Ashura watched people interact with each other. There was some
tension, sure, but only as much as they would allow to exist.
Ashura nodded to Val. "These 'Emeralds' concern me, like a lot
and I can't explain exactly why-- its like an instinct, but... I
think she'll do the right thing. She can be a good noodle, if
she wants to be." It had then occurred to the green hedgehog
that since they were in fact not talking to Sapphire; they
didn't know her actual name! Such a thing would not be allowed
to go on! "What is your name, by the way? It would be rude to
speak of you without knowing. I'll start; I'm Ashura, hello!" He
offered a smile to Crystal, as well as a handshake.
       [hr]
Soon enough; the room would begin to play something; a memory--
a series of memories-- sad and sombre ones to say the absolute
least. Only once before in his life has Ashura suffered such a
mood whiplash, and this time was no less intense. First, Karahl
was depicted seemingly unable to birth her own child, that was
rough; Ashura felt downtrodden. Second, a lady that looked a lot
like Caroline; no doubt her biological mother had the audacity
to hold her reputation above the safety and life of her own
child. In that moment, Ashura also felt enraged. He shuddered,
pulsated and glitched slightly. His all too emotional reaction
subdued as Karahl entered the scene, consoling the tiny baby
Caroline. From there, things were looking up.
       Until Karahl perished.
Caroline and Ashura were similar in that they lost a parental
figure and could do nothing about it. However, they were
different in many more ways... Caroline gave up. She created
this flaming hell-hole and ignored Karahl's last words. Ashura
though? He never gave up. He lived by his father's message.
Clear as day, there were more people to be saved this day.
What was more worrying was that Caroline seemingly needed the
Emeralds, the Chaos Emeralds. This would not bring her
happiness, Ashura wouldn't believe for a second that they could.
His instincts and disjointed memories told him that they were
dangerous, gems if used selfishly or with any form of malice in
mind. Caroline had to be talked out of this. This future could
be changed another way-- no, it would be changed without the
Emeralds. No ifs ands or buts.
The memory faded and the screens returned. Immediately Ashura
was trying to figure out who to select next. "Who next..." He
kept muttering under his breath; behaving strangely, like a
scientist now completely absorbed in a project. Must be
something he learned from observing his dad. Ashura, now no
longer had the luxury of being able to worry about breaking
whatever this was. He approached the screens and began looking
through each panel. He paused the longest on Crystal, and
himself, but Robin and mysterious silhouette were close seconds.
       Just what was he thinking?
Going through each of his final choices one last time, he had to
narrow them down. Crystal was already erratic enough; the
content in her memories might be too much given what was just
seen of Karahls, this immediately ruled her out. Ashura would
have to get to know her the proper way; by talking to her.
Ashura himself was in an interesting position; choosing his own
future memories could be seen as selfish even with the intent of
using that knowledge to reach out to Caroline, in the end he
believed he could do so as he was with the support of his new
       friends.
That left Robin and the Mystery Man; the last two results left
on the screen. "Mr. Prower. I suggest leaving this room... If
what we are about to see is anything like what we saw before,
you don't want to be here." One hand hovered above Robin's panel
as Ashura brought out his cool rock once again, offering it and
all warmth or positivity assigned to it as a form of protection.
"Crystal, hold onto this. Just in case."

Crystal would look Valentine in the eyes, narrowing her own a
little, "I promise I'll put your life before my own. I can't
guarantee complete safety, but I'll protect you where I can."
She would respond with honestly, placing the white emerald in
her other bracelet, she now had three. Ashura's, her own and
       Valentine's.
She would look to Maria whom was now also offering her emerald
to her, "I don't want to use them, I've been asked to get them,
if I don't.. " Her head would give an odd, rather disturbing
kind of twitch, "I get in trouble..." She wouldn't elaborate on
that further, but it was probably best that she did not, as it
       seemed to make her twitch.
When Ashura introduced himself and held out his hand, Crystal
would star at it for a few seconds. Before then looking up at
Ashura with the slightest bit of confusion on her face. As if
she wasn't sure what she was supposed to do in response. "I'm
0015." She would say back, still looking at his extended hand,
"But Nibor says my real name is Crystal" She would then decide
to press her forehead against his hand, thinking maybe that was
what he was asking for by offering his hand like that. Maybe?
Right? She didn't know what a handshake was...
When she was offered the cool rock again, she would take it and
would hug it, curling into a bit of a ball. She knew it was
       special to Ashura...
Tails would hold up a hand, still hurt from before, "I think I
should be alright, but thank you for the consideration, I'm
hoping this will hold some answers even I've been asking for
       years".

       [Translator: Online]
The scene around them would change like it had for Karahl's
memory. The galaxy scene around them twisted and bent until it
became a night sky, the ground formed last, melting out a
savanna scene, but accompanied by huts and a fire pit. The
amount of little hut-like houses was quite astonishing,
suggesting that a whole bunch of mobians must live here. Where
exactly they all now where though, they wouldn't know.
By the roaring fire pit, which still was ablaze to keep the area
warm, sat a cute little blanked wrapped basket, it had all sorts
or decorations hanging off of it, most looked like symbols or
       tokens of some kind.
Inside the basket was a tiny canine mobian, he was brown with
darker and lighter brown markings and had incredibly bright
green eyes, it was Robin, on his face and some parts of his
little body, there where painted markings, he had one on his
forehead that suggested a crown of some sort. Perhaps it
established his role in the tribe?
The puppy would roll over in his basket, trying to fall asleep
to the warmth of the fireplace, there was some talk from the
biggest nearby hut though that kept disturbing him, perhaps it
was his biological parents though. Soon though, he was joined by
the fire by another canine, whom had similar patterns to him as
well as similar colours, he had two differently coloured eyes
though, one brown and one blue and unlike little Robin's
comfortable, relaxed look, this canine did not look happy at all
as he stared down angrily at the child. Leaning down, he picked
Robin up carelessly, making him stir and let out a light
discomforting noise that only kids can make. "You ruined
everything you little rat! [i]I was supposed to be next in
line!" The older of the two would spit, looking like he was
ready to toss the infant into the fire behind them. With how he
was being shaken and moved around, Robin would begin to lightly
cry, paddling his little paws at the other dog's hands, which
still had a firm grip around his small body. "I hate you!" Robin
would cry louder, catching the attention of some others inside
their tents. "[sub]Shut up Boipelo![/sub]" He would hiss before
he'd quickly stuff the baby back into the basket, putting a
blanket over the top of him and then racing away from the camp.
He would run and run and run, he too had markings on his body,
similar to that of baby Robin's, but not exact, and the forehead
marking upon his head looked like it had recently been smudged
out and replaced with what it was now.
He wouldn't stop running until he had reached a running stream.
Reaching it he would slow down, anger and hatred still in his
eyes as he shook the baby-filled basket, "I know what I'm going
to do with you.." An angered smile would come to his face as he
strode over to the rushing water with the basket and crying baby
still in hand. With only slight hesitation, the young canine
would shove the basket into the water. Which instantly took the
basket and rushed it off down stream. "And don't ever come
back!" The older boy canine would call out as the group would be
pulled along with baby Robin. Whom would scream and cry as his
basket was pulled and thrashed about in the water, the thing
seemed to go on forever, all throughout the night. As he kept
being dragged along the stream, the scene would fade to show the
next memory, leaving an alone, scared, soaked Robin to fend for
       himself...
When the scene returned, they where now at a dirty looking
street, the basket was back and a soaking wet, and presumably
half-dead Robin, was laying inside it still, shivering as he
bundled himself up. A nearby door opened up to reveal a tall,
thin women who looked rather chocolate/ pepperminty in colour,
spotting the shivering child, she would look both ways before
hurrying out and collecting him, taking him inside, closing the
door behind her... The scene would flash forward by a bit, and
when they saw him again, Robin was now a young kid, he looked a
bit on the grubby side, it was night and he seemed to be
climbing out the window of what looked like an orphanage of some
sorts. With tears in his eyes and no sign of the lady that had
taken him in and taken care of him, Robin slipped out the window
and began running up the street, he bumped into a yellowish
mobian with green eyes that would be familiar to Blaze, but he
simply waved as he kept going. He didn't stop until he had
reached the outskirts of the town, once he had he slowed down
and bent over, attempting to catch his breath.
He wouldn't get much of a break though, as a minute later, his
ears would shoot up at the sound of someone approaching. He
would rush to press his back up against a nearby tree, waiting
for whomever it was to leave.
"I know you're there, come on out"
Robin would flinch, scrunching up his face at being caught out,
"Don't be scared, we won't hurt you" Another, younger voice
popped up. Eventually, Robin would come out from behind the tree
to see a tall golden fox with two tails and a very small, blue
       hedgehog girl.
The grubby canine would hang his head down, putting his arms
behind his back and staring down at the ground. "Come on, follow
me, let's get you cleaned up" The fox would say, his expression
was warm and caring, but Robin didn't seem really sure.
Eventually the young hedgehog would wander over and take hold of
one of Robin's hands, leading him over, Robin raised an eyebrow
but didn't fight against her. "What's your name little buddy?"
Tails would ask as they headed back home. ".... I.. Don't have
one.." "We'll have to change that at some point, but first,
       let's get you home."
Again the scene would flash forward, there would be snippets,
mostly a few seconds worth of time showing the dog grow up bit
by bit, he grew very fond of Tails and established a friendship
with Sapphire, even becoming friendly with a young Caroline, as
there would be times showing him and her and Sapphire playing
all together, laughing and having a good time, almost like the
three where all siblings. A lot of times, it showed the three
going out for food at the same spot. They each got different
things, but the same thing each time. As he got older, he
started to build things alongside Tails, learning new things,
but also while still spending time with the two girls, more and
more, it became clear that Caroline was getting further and
further away from both Sapphire and Robin. Robin could see it,
sometimes, he'd catch the tail of the dog whom had chucked him
into the stream as a baby, but Robin had been so young at the
time, that he didn't recognize it. The group would also be able
to spot a few times where Robin spoke to an older Karahl,
concerned about his friend, Caroline. Then there would be a
burst of red light, anger, yelling and crying, Robin trying to
hug and comfort the white cat after what happened to Karahl,
being shoved aside and witnessing the two sisters argue,
Caroline accusing Sapphire of her mother's death...
Soon, the flashes would slow down a bit until finally returning
to a normal speed, they would be in a house within the city of
Mobotropolis, it seemed to be breakfast time... Robin and
Sapphire where at the table, both seemed incredibly upset, both
where dead silent as well, unusual for both of them. They simply
silently ate away at their cereal, not even looking at each
other. It was obvious that, at this point, Caroline had
disappeared. Or, at least, their Caroline had.
Sapphire would rub at one of her cheeks after a tear had rolled
down it, Robin's ears where pinned back and he kept glancing up
to his best friend. "Are you okay?" "No. I miss her..."
       They would both pause.
"Would you like to go out for lunch at-" "Yes please" The two
would chuck their bowls and spoons in the sink before heading
outside. Only to find something odd up in the sky above the
city..... Something that may look familiar to some of the team,
whom had been in Mobotropolis before they got to this time...

Re: [Arc] Familiar place, Familiar face?
By: Robin Date: August 4, 2017, 6:30 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
The skies where grey, the city was dark, and as the two friends
made their way outside the door, they became confused seeing the
       confusion on other people's faces.
Everyone seemed to be looking up.
So they soon would too, a dome, a giant glass dome seemed to be
slowly lowering down upon the city, as if to trap everyone
       living there inside.
"Papa- PAPA!" Robin would peek back through the doorway, "Papa
there's something up in the sky!" The morning had been so calm,
so quiet, but in mere seconds, the entire city seemed to be
awake and in a panic. Robin and Sapphire seemed to then rush
back into the house, each heading for their rooms to grab
things, but both would find a yellow arm hooking around one of
each of their's before they could even reach their doorways.
"Leave everything, go go, head straight to where your father
used to take you to play, Sapphire, it'll be safe there. Robin,
make sure she makes it, don't wait up for me" "But Papa...-"
"It'll be okay, you can do this! Now go! I promise I'll see you
       again soon"
The two young mobians would be forced out of the house, both
scared and unsure of what was going on. The moment they got back
outside, they would have crowds of people push past them, all
rushing to exit the city, but.... It was an awful long way to
       run...
There would be a loud crash followed by a scream, which only
panicked the crowds of mobians more, everyone seemed to get
faster, rougher, not caring for those around them as they
frantically shoved their way to get out of the city first.
Robin and Sapphire would grab hold of one another's hand to make
sure they didn't loose each other as they took one last look at
their home, before then joining the crowd to make their way out
       of the city as well....
Still the dome lowered, it was slow, but it was enough to keep
everyone panicked... Right above the dome, someone engulfed in
an angry red glow was hovering, the dome seemed to glow in a
similar colour, as though this person was the one lowering it.
But who could do that? Robin had noticed the figure, and he knew
right away who it was, he looked as though he where about to
call out her name... But he looked at Sapphire, knowing how hurt
she was from loosing Karahl and how hurt she was after her
sister left... Maybe it was best she didn't know just yet. They
had to focus elsewhere right now...
Their run didn't last smoothly for very long though, the streets
twisted and curved, there was no direct straight path leading
out of the city, it was far too large at this point for such an
easy way out of it. Mobians where still going every which way,
trying to get out, trying to find the way out, they where like a
bunch of rats trying to escape a maze before the cat got them.
"This is insane, no one is going to get out like this, half of
them don't even know the way out and they're just going to block
up the way" "What're we going to do?" "Show them the way out"
Sapphire would look up at Robin, and he'd flash her a smile, she
knew that meant he had a plan he thought would work.
Robin would usher for the hedgehog to grab his arm, before he'd
use one hand to activate something on a device on his wrist, the
device looked like it was still a work in progress, like it was
a prototype of something that would become so much bigger.
After pressing on the developing device, a purple ball of light
would shoot out from the device, "Show them the way" He would
say loud and clear, [Rodger that] and with that, it would shoot
off, above the heads of the citizens of Mobotropolis, [Please
follow me, this way to exit Mobotropolis city, mind your step]
It'd take a couple of seconds, but soon the swarm of people
seemed to all at least be going to same way now. Allowing a
faster process to out of the city.
With the crowds moving easier, Robin and Sapphire would now
notice, some people where having a hard time getting out of
their houses, mainly families with young kids, because the kids
didn't want to leave their homes behind. The two would look at
each other before heading over to the nearest struggling house,
some others would notice others struggling as well, and would
       also try to help.
The family that the duo had gone to had a young girl, whom was
making it difficult for the family to leave, she was scared and
crying, clutching onto the door of their home. "Hey there
Princess, c'mon you need to let go of that now, you can come
back for it later" Robin would say, softening his voice as he
knelt down to the crying child. Sobbing, she would look at him,
then would look past him at Sapphire, her eyes seemed to light
up slightly and she would let go of the door to grab onto one of
Sapphire's legs, "Sanic" Sapphire would stick out her lower lip
lightly as Robin laughed, the parents would then scoop up the
young girl and the group would help a slightly older brother to
climb out of one of the windows before they would join the crowd
       again.
       Everything was going smoothly....
       It wouldn't last...
Soon shouts would rise up from behind the crowds of people,
Robin and Sapphire where now towards the back after having
stopped to help people out, so they where quite close to all of
       the fuss.
Mobians in oddly shaped suits had began to appear behind and to
the sides of the panicked crowds, grabbing and snatching up
people left, right and center along with tossing out things that
let off loud bangs, causing kids to scream and the panic to rise
right back up again. Again people would be scrambling to get to
the exit, which was on the horizon now, they where close, but
       not quite there.
"[Meadows]" A suited figure would appear to the right of the
duo, running alongside them, they looked the exact same size and
build as Robin, but the voice sounded less mobian, and more...
Like the suit had said it, and not whomever was wearing the
suit. "[Wanted Enemy Number: 2]" "W-wanted?! Who the heck are
you!?" The visor of the figure's helmet would go up, revealing a
pair of eyes that looked like his own, Robin only got to see it
for a split second though before the figure would leap at him,
Robin would duck, and the figure would tumble right into
Sapphire instead, getting them both caught up under a crowd of
people in a bit of a stampede.
Robin wasted no time to pull up and duck back after them,
panicked at that his move had instead endangered his best
friend. "Sapphire?! SAPPHIRE!?" "[Wanted Enemy Number: 1]" His
head jolted to the sound of the intruder, whom was battling on
the ground with the blue hedgehog, as Robin ran over to get him
off of her, the figure would target at Sapphire's legs, seeming
to know where her strong point was. "AAHHHh!
The dog would leap, pulling the figure off of Sapphire once he
reached them, but not before they had done damage. Robin would
boot his legs into the suited figure's gut as hard as he could,
sending them skidding down the road a short distance away.
Rather then pursuing them though, he'd rush back over to
Sapphire, hooking an arm around her, pulling her up and then
scooping her up into his arms, getting back into rushing after
the rest of the people, they where behind and the dome was
getting closer and closer to the ground... "Is it broken? Are
you alright?" Robin would ask, Sapphire would nod lightly, "He
twisted it at an angle it shouldn't go though..." "We'll check
it out at home, don't worry I'll get you ou-" Something metal
and sharp would latch onto his right leg and wouldn't hesitate
to yank at him, causing Robin to fall forward, he'd toss
Sapphire on his way down so he wouldn't fall on her, making him
smack his chin into the pavers instead before then being dragged
backwards, making him let out a pained yelp, blood smearing
across the ground, "HEY!" Sapphire shakily got to her feet,
turning back to help out her friend, but someone else beat her
       to it.
A golden and white, two tailed fox would launch off a blast from
a device on his own wrist right into the figure from before's
chest, sending him flying backwards and causing the latch to
release from Robin, whom pushed himself back up with a bit of
help from Tails, "Do NOT stop Son! Go go go!" The fox wasn't
alone either it seemed, now, Sonic the Hedgehog, Amy, Knuckles
and other famous familiar faces had joined them, and where
rushing to get people out of their houses and out of the city,
Sonic was going so fast, it was almost impossible to see him,
but there where so many people for them to get out of the city
       still...
Would they all make it out in time?
Hand in hand once more, the best friends had their eyes on the
edge of the city as they continued to make their way out of the
city, they had a fair distance left, and the dome was down so
low now that you had to crouch or slide to get under it fully.
Both aching, they still pushed on. "Think you could...
Nnngh...-" Sapphire shook her head lightly, "I don't know how to
do it right yet. It hasn't been working right since she.... I
can't control it right at the moment." "That's alright, you'll
make it without it." Robin winced lightly, giving a smile again.
Most of the citizens had made it out by now, at least, all those
       whom weren't snatched up.
"NNNGAAAHHHHH!" a large, spiked hammer would be thrown at the
both of them, again, Robin would toss Sapphire out of harms way,
copping the full hit himself instead, it grazed up his back,
making him drop down to the ground on his stomach to avoid it
completely knocking his head off. "Leave him alone!" "Go! Go
without me! We won't make it in time like this!" "Stop it! Don't
say that! I'm not leaving you!".
Robin's spring green eyes would gaze around, his heartbeat
ringing in his ears, his breathing in his brain. The dome was so
close to the ground now. Sonic was grabbing Amy, Tails and the
others now and racing them out to get them out in time, but he
was off to another side of the city, he wouldn't get Sapphire
out in time as well. Sapphire was a few feet in front of the
dog, tears welling up in her eyes. Her powers had been effected
by the loss of her mother Karahl and her sister, Caroline, she
was a happy person, so when she was sad, it effected her more
       then just her mood.
Robin looked at his friend in front of him, she was scared, so
was he, but he already knew... "I know you won't" He would
eventually pipe up, as the hammer figure crept up on him from
behind. "But I promised Papa I would get you out safe" "Robin...
" The dog would sit up, "Activate rockets, get Sapphire out" He
would say weakly, before throwing his wrist device at Sapphire,
which seemed to transform mid-air, "NO ROBIN NO" Sapphire turned
to try and get away from it, but the device would latch onto her
back, and once it had, it would activate a mini rocket-like
engine that acted as a boost, sending the hedgehog skidding
across the grass, the force was enough to land her on her front,
sliding her across the ground and eventually, just, slipping her
under the dome before it touched down on the ground, sealing
       itself there.
       SLAM
Robin would be smashed up against the side of the dome by the
other hammer wielder from before, whom would cackle after doing
so at seeing the dog struggle for breath after having it knocked
out of him. Gasping and coughing, the dog would press his balled
hands against the ground, pushing his unstable body up again as
the hammer hitter towered over him, although they where only as
       tall as Sapphire.
Sapphire on the other hand, would manage to get the device off
of herself after she was out of harms way, as it simply wrapped
around her wrist after she was safe. Once she got it off, she
would bolt back to the dome, and would begin to punch it as hard
as she possibly could, clicking her fingers, she'd form a
demented, disformed hammer and would slam it, over and over
against the glass keeping her from her friend, but it did
nothing. Anything she tried, did nothing. The hedgehog would let
out a pained cry, tears beginning to stream down her face as she
could only watch her friend struggle to stay alive on the other
side of the dome. "No.. Please.. I can't loose you too..
PLEASE!" the young mobian choked, as she pressed herself up
against the glass, as though it made her feel at least that bit
       closer to her friend.
The hammer wielder on the other side would raise their hammer
again, but only to disappear in a pop, which was followed by a
few more pops going off in the city. Once the pops stopped,
something circular and rather large would drop down from the top
center of the dome, Robin propped himself up against the glass,
watching it fall, his breathing was rather raspy and it was
audible that he was struggling to fill his lungs with air. When
what was dropped hit the ground, a silent explosion went off at
the center of the city, but it wasn't an ordinary explosion, it
picked up an oddly coloured cloud, spreading out to all corners
of the city, engulfing it in it's odd rainbow of colours.
Robin would turn back to face Sapphire as the cloud headed his
way as well. His hair whipping around wildly from the force.
"I'll always be with you, don't forget that" He would say to
Sapphire, pointing to the device that was now secured around her
wrist, "Look after her for me" Sapphire could barley see through
her shower of tears, but she saw what Robin pointed at and could
only just hear him through the dome's glass. "Smile for me?"
Robin would tilt his head to the side lightly, tears coming to
his eyes as he managed a smile himself, putting his hand up
against the glass. Sapphire put her own hand up against the
glass to his. "Please" Robin gulped lightly, he didn't dare look
behind him, keeping his eyes only upon his friend in front of
him on the other side of the glass. Sapphire just felt like
crying, but she had to smile. She had to smile for him. As a
small smile spread across her lips, looking her friend in the
eyes, the colour clouds would engulf him, giving him a split
second to see her smile, but it was enough.
Sapphire would sit alone, tears dripping down between the cracks
of her fingers as she covered her face with her hands, sobbing
gently while she stayed by, trying not to listen to the pained
sounds Robin made from the effects of the clouds. She could only
imagine what kind of pain it was putting him through.
Tails would soon approach her from behind some minutes
afterwards, placing a hand on her shoulder, "It's all my fault,
       I-I.. I should've ran like Dad does, like I'm supposed to, I
could've gotten us b-both out.." "Hey, hey, no, it's not your
fault, it's not your fault they're not working properly, you
both did the right thing, we wouldn't want for it to of been the
both of you in there.. Don't blame yourself, Robin wouldn't want
you blaming yourself." The fox would wrap an arm around her,
lifting the small hedgehog up and beginning to take her away
from the dome as the clouds in it began to clear, revealing
Robin's limp, lifeless body to be slumped up on his side against
the glass, blood trickling from his wounded chin and mouth. Eyes
closed as though he was sleeping. "We need to get you home
before trouble goes beyond that dome, come o-" "NO!" Sapphire
would scream, reaching out for her friends body, "I can't leave
him! Don't take me away, no!" The fox would tighten his grip
around her as she thrashed and kicked up dirt to try and get
away to get back to Robin's body. But Tails was bigger and
stronger then her. Eventually, he would win, dragging her all
the way back to Knothole, covering her mouth to soften her
sorrowful cries out to her lost friend. Once at Knothole, he
would hand her over to Sonic. Grabbing a few things from his old
abandoned workshop before heading back to the dome himself, this
would take a few minutes to do.
Reaching the dome again, he would wait nearby it. The clouds had
cleared, but the dome was still there. While waiting, the fox
would equip a mask on his muzzle, followed by a suit of his own
that covered him from head to tail. While he was getting it on,
he could hear someone had approached the body of Robin. Pausing
his process to put on the suit, the fox would peer over to get a
look at what was going on. He almost wish he hadn't though.
As he then had to watch someone else suited up, firmly attach a
blinking collar to the neck of Robin's body before then opening
up his body and stuffing something into where his heart was.
Tails would tug on his ears gently, looking away while this
happened, anger boiling up inside of him at this.
[center]"[shadow=crimson, right]To get him back, you have to use
part of me, which you cannot now remove. It connects to me,
try to use it against me, and you'll be hurting him to get to
       it[/shadow]"[/center]
Tails would push on, getting the rest of his suit on, even after
the mental messaging from Caroline. By the time he finished
suiting up, the dome was beginning to lift back up again.
       [center]"We'll see about that"[/center]
With the dome now lifted and a suit on to protect him from any
leftover cloud effects, Tails would look around, before then
scooping up Robin's body into his arms, even from inside his
suit, tears began to run down his soft white cheeks, and as he
began to walk through the quiet woods to get back to Knothole,
he would rest his head against Robin's. The thought of that
bright young boy he had first met on his mind, and the promise
he had made to him. "I'm sorry, I let you down" Tails would say,
clutching the dog's body close, shaking as he tried to keep
himself together. "You kept my promise, now I must keep yours...
I'll see you again sometime my boy"...
When back at Knothole, Tails would take the body into his
workshop, setting him down on a bare desk before pulling an old,
ripped cloth off a capsule-looking device, glancing back to
Robin, he would plug it in, booting it to life, making it start
to glow a soft, sky blue. Once it was up and running, the fox
would then put the dog inside of it, closing the cover back over
the top of him and hitting the blue button off to the side,
       which began to freeze Robin.
"I promise, I'll see you again soon."
The scene would then fade back out into the space like scene
they where familiar with as being the menu screen of the room

By: Maria Hawkins Date: August 4, 2017, 2:58 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Maria was once again in shock as she saw the story of Robin in
this timeline. It was horrid to say the least, especially seeing
how it turned out near the end where Robin gave his life to safe
Sapphire, but succumbing to what could only be described as a
gas attack, a terror move that wasn't allowed by armed forces
anymore. That was when it hit Maria as well. What they were
seeing now was what they had been fleeing from before they were
brought to the future. If that was true... then... then she had
lied and Guntram, James, Sabine and Petrov would have killed, if
not be the gas... then something else most likely.
Then there was the one that approached and stuffed something
into Robin's chest, probably the thing that kept him alive
today. However, while the mobain was covered up, she could sorta
recognize the voice as HER's. If she had done it, who knew what
she could do to it. The first thought was holding Robin hostage
by threatening to shut down the thing in his chest. Assuming
Tails didn't manage to disable it somehow. This however, left
her with one question however, what happened inside the bubble
aside from the large gas could and impenetrable shield? As much
as she didn't want to, seeing as how her older self had reacted
with the trance and all, she was considering picking her own
       friends at this point.
"That's... i have no words to express what i feel right now,"
she trailed as she moved closer to the screens again, "i just
realized that we saw what we fled from... and the torment the
kids went through. You have my sympathies miss Sapphire, i can
only imagine the hardship it brought along."
"However, it also leaves more questions," she sighed and looked
at her squad's picture, "if we have the time... i would like to
see what happened to my friends. If we have the time that is."
