[Arc Starter] Last Chance

The gruff Future Ty would hover along in his chair through the
thick terrain that lead to Knothole, not seeming to pay much
mind to Sapphire and Robin whom had to trudge through all the
high grass and muddy ground to follow him whereas he simply
hovered over it all.
As if the terrain couldn't get anymore difficult, it began to
softly shower down on them, and as the day stretched on, the
light shower became a storm. Thunder rumbled throughout the
skies. Lightning flashed and sent off another crack of thunder
shortly after it.
The three where drench from head to foot, or head to waist for
Future Ty, in a matter of seconds.
They would soon reach Knothole however, the tall welcoming
tree's providing them with some shelter and a light break from
the storm. Sapphire and Robin trembled and shook, clutched their
wet fur as they continued along after Future Ty, who was not
bothered by the cold and paid no mind to being wet from the
rain.
The three would take shelter in one of the Knothole huts, they
where abandoned and breaking, but usable.
"Send ah.. Send a message out to everyone Sapphire, they'll
listen to you" Robin would say, smiling lightly as he held out
his wrist to Sapphire. She would smile back but before she got
to say a word, Knothole became filled with the travelling sounds
from Mobotropolis...
All three knew that click of a sound too well...
They would rush out and look out to the horizon, spotting the
city, what they saw was something they had never wanted to see
again...
"N..NO!" Sapphire would scream, Robin wrapped his arms around
her front to stop her from running to the city. She would writhe
and struggle in his grip, tears and rain drops streaming down
her face. "Let me go! I've got to help them!" "There is nothing
you can do for them now Sapphire! You remember last time! Nobody
can get in or out of that dome except her and her troops! You
need to send a message out to your friends! Maybe some got out
beforehand!" Sapphire would look to her best friend with a look
of regret and sorrow. Regret for coming back and endangering
this time.. Sorrow for what was to come.. "I can't..-""You MUST,
it's our only chance. If we go back without them, SHE will get
her hands on them, and we will have the same forces as before.
This is the last chance we have to change everything Sapphire"
The two would look at each other for a few moments in the rain,
their fur and hair dripping before they would embrace in a hug,
Robin taking off his device and handing it to Sapphire. "Make
him proud" He'd say, squeezing Sapphire's shoulders gently
before he'd return to Future Ty's side, and help the older
mobian to set up.
Sapphire held onto the device, feeling all it's edges and curves
with her fingers as the rain water from her hair dripped down in
front of her eyes and on her face, down her lips and down her
cheeks. Her fingers would fumble for the right button, one that
would send out to every com link or communication device on
every freedom fighter and even to some TV's and radios in the
city itself and elsewhere, where ever the signal could reach.
Where ever it reached, Sapphire would pop up on whatever screen
she could. Tears streamed down her face as her hair whipped in
the wind of the storm she felt responsible for.
"Hi.. Hi guys.." She would start out, her eyes trailing away
from where she knew the camera was. She didn't want to look
anyone in the eye. How could she knowing what she had caused?
"It's.. Sapphire.. Look if you're out there, we need your help..
This is nothing like Robotnik's attacks... Please.. don't go to
the city if you're out of it.. There's.." Sapphire would choke
up, rubbing her eyes, she was trying not to, she knew everyone
could see her. "There's no point in going, you can't break the
dome..." She would say as she looked back up again and
swallowed, her face breaking again as more tears threatened to
fall.
"I'm sorry." She would add, sniffing gently as she shielded her
eyes with her hands "I'm sorry, this is all my fault I thought I
was doing the right thing.. I.. I thought I could fix it and
change the world but I couldn't... I'll never be even half of
what my Dad is.. and now you're all in danger because of me..
I'm sorry... and I know you never have to forgive me. But I ask
just one thing of you.. Please help me to fix it.. to fix what
I've done.. Come to Knothole if you can.. We'll go from there...
Bring anything that might help.." She would pause, taking a slow
breath, finally looking to the camera directly... "I'm sorry I'm
not the hero I was born to be" And with that she would cut the
connection, ending her message before turning to Robin and
Future Ty.
Robin's ears where flat and his expression low, Future Ty didn't
seem to have it in him to look directly at either of the two and
hadn't said a word since they'd left the others beforehand. "Now
I guess.. we wait"

Val was picking up herbs and shrooms for her diner. It wasn't
everyday she had visitors. But her nose picked a familiar smell
and heard a loud scream. This voice was familiar somehow and it
sounded like an emergency. She sighed." There goes diner..for
once.. Ugh.." She said on a low tone hoping her friend didn't
heard it. "I think we have an emergency dear.." She said
smiling awkwardly and grabbed her hand. "Let's run! Someone
might be in danger.."

Veira stood under a tree as the weather around her and Val kept
changing. That was odd to see but then again she had seen things
far worse than this. She tilted her head slightly as she watched
her friend picked things for their supposed dinner.
That's when she heard a loud scream and stood up stretch with
her hand at her sword. It wasn't long before she heard her
communicatior go off. On the screen was Sapphire.
She seemed upset and disturbed, had something happen? When
Sapphire gave a brief explanation, Veira turned to the city and
saw the giant dome covering it. What was going on here?
Before she could ask Sapphire anything the line went dead.
Wanting answers, Veira followed her friend to the source of the
scream.
" Right then. Let's go." Veira replied.

Just then a yellow speed trail blitz past the both of them,
looks like Shadow had the same idea to investigate the large
dome roofing the city and the source of a scream making a
similar audio cue to that of a young girl. He appears to be
heading to Knothole as instructed.
He didn't even try to communicate with his would be allies,
perhaps he isn't much of a conservationist or it could be he is
too fast to even notice them.
Fire burning the tips of the grass skidding to a halt to
visualize the very people who sent an S.O.S. A Sapphire in
despair, A Robin with a stronger resolve and a Ty who is
crippled to the point of the mobian realizing he was never alive
in the first place.
"Do you know who created that dome over the city?" he folded his
arms wanting answers.

Was she one of the lucky ones? She almost had to be, but she
didn't feel like that. She stood and looked at the city through
the big yellow bubble that had appeared and she had just managed
to get out of the city it sealed the place off. No one got in or
out. She had tried and failed. It would seem that Sapphire had
been to late, the future had come and now they were really low
on time. She couldn't do anything, so she just had to turn and
run for Knothole, even if it tore deeply at her to do so,
leaving the innocent behind to. Sorrow was the dominant feeling
as she saw Knothole come into view. However, she hadn't heard
what Sapphire had said, her comlink was still turned to its
standard frequency, meaning G.U.N, but she couldn't reach them
either, she was alone.
She felt tears running down her cheeks as she saw the others
already there, this was a sad day indeed.
"Here i am... i don't know who else made it out of the city
before that... thing appeared," she sighed and wiped what tears
remained away, "but it seems that the future you tried to stop
has already arrived, we are running out of time."

For another being on this bizarre planet; the day proceeded as
normal. Peaceful, to a degree-- rather, as peaceful as it could
get when your day-to-day activities revolved around dismantling
rogue leftover Badniks, scouting out safe areas in the vast
woods, mapping out where dangerous areas were. In many ways;
this is what a striped, goofy, emerald hedgehog by the name of
Ashura would see as... Normal.
Alas, normality and relative peace would not continue on this
day. The day that SHE came, an unknown enemy whose rival could
spell more certain doom than any rotund oval shaped oaf ever
could dream of. It was at best; futile to mess with HER.
Blissfully unaware of the impending chaos; Ashura was swinging
through the trees near Knothole using his mysterious bandage
wraps...
The sudden ominous rumble in the sky caught him off guard; rain
began to pour; as he almost swung too wide around a tree;
thankfully there were branches that he could grab onto to stop
his fall. "What in the... There wasn't meant to be a storm for
another couple days..." He muttered, furrowing his brow, looking
upwards to the canopy. "Mmm... Better check it out." Without a
moment to lose; Ashura clambered up the tree, only to be greeted
by a rather disturbing sight.
The sky was bleak, unrealistically savage and altogether
unfriendly. It honestly hurt to look at in some respects. "What
in the world...!?" The anomalous hedgehog could only watch in
vain as from a shimmering pinprick a rainbow dome materialized
in the distance out in the direction of Mobotropolis. Another
strike of lightning illuminated the area; thunder rumbling close
behind. Ashura shielded his eyes, but willed himself to look on;
his vision blurred as his eyes stated to dart around
independently of each other before settling down... For a moment
he developed a vastly increased range of sight-- as if he had
thrown on some binoculars! Something wasn't right about that
barrier. For all the colours of the rainbow that it had briefly
shown, it didn't feel like it brought happiness and protection.
Rather, it brought a fear... What if it was a prison?! Little
flickering lights could be seen within the dome as... People
disappeared!? Ashura couldn't make heads or tails of this! "No
no no, that isn't ri-" He shook his head, his sight returned to
normal. Just as he was about to swing towards Mobotropolis, he
heard a forlorn shriek. Ashura slipped off the branch, and only
just managed to safely swing down to the ground.
He recognized that voice.
"S-sapphire!?" Her voice came from where Knothole was situated;
and there was a viewpoint from where one could see the city.
Sapphire was a good person, she greeted Ashura with kindness
despite his goofy quirks and shortcomings. He couldn't stand by,
knowing that someone like that was suffering, so on he went
towards Knothole!
Though Ashura was arguably one of the closest, another had him
beat on pure speed alone. A black and red blur followed my a
yellow speed trail zoomed past him, trails of fire ignited on
the grass but were soon snuffed out due to the wind pressure...
He recognized that blur; as bizarre as that sounds, it was the
one that carried him away from the 'bomb' that Robotnik planted
a while back. As far as Ashura knew, only that guy was that
fast! Ashura never got the guy's name either; which was a shame,
because he never got to thank him for the save...
Regardless, the emerald Hedgehog would arrive at Knothole,
following the burn trail on the ground until he found the
others. "H-hey! You okay? Wh-whats going on out there? Do you
know anything? I-I mean... I sort of... Saw stuff, but it was
really blurry- My eyes did something bizarre and--"

First to reach them was Shadow, who was quick to ask about who
created the dome, "We don't know her name... Nobody ever wants
to tell us, we just call her... HER basically... She.... She
made the dome... SHE put it there.." Robin would explain,
looking aside with misty eyes. He would quickly brush an arm
over the top of his face to 'brush' away the tears before
looking to Shadow, "There's no way in or out of it".
Sapphire would greet Maria with a light hug, they didn't know
each other too well, but Sapphire had to help people whom where
upset, even when upset herself. She would shake her head though
"No.. No SHE came early... I was a kid about the time this
happened.. And.. Robin was stuck inside the dome.." She would
wrap her arms around Robin again after a small jump and would
hang off of him like a Koala to a tree.
When Ashura arrived she would let go of Robin, rubbing her eyes.
"It's good to see you again" She would say to the emerald
hedgehog before hanging down her head, giving a light nod,
"Ah... Yeah.. Unfortunately I do know what's goin on... A
powerful mobian we only know to be called SHE has placed a giant
dome over Mobotropolis, Robin and I have seen it once before.."
She would point a thumb back at Robin. "You can't get in or out
of the dome.... She... Last time..." The hedgehog didn't quite
get to finish her sentence before she couldn't help but to break
into more tears, covering her face and shaking her head. "I'm
sorry I'm sorry, I shouldn't of came back! It's all my fault!"

Maria returned the hug, it helped cheering her up a little bit
but all in all it didn't have that much of an effect. SHE had
come early apparently, so what would they do now?
"Please Miss Sapphire, calm down," she told the young hedgehog
with the most reassuring voice she could make in her current
state, "No one here is blaming you for this, rather, we are
counting, if not depending on you and Mr. Robin." She didn't hug
her, she was already hugging Robin hard, instead she gently
petted her spikes in perhaps a desperate attempt to get through
to her and make her finish the sentence.
"Both of you have seen the future, both of you know the outcome,
because of that we need you two if we are to prevent it. Why if
you hadn't come back, history would just repeat itself, she
would show up and we would be unable to respond. Even your
presence here is tied to HER's early appearance and that we
can't deny it is horrible what is happening, we need you to be
strong and focus. What is going to happen and what can we do to
prevent?"

" So she's here huh? Looks like i get my shot at her again. And
hopefully get Blaze back...." Veira replied as she and Val
arrived shortly after the others. She looked around a bit before
folding her arms a bit. Knothole certainly looked like it been
through hell.
So she came earlier than expected but with Sapphire and Robin's
help, the group had a small chance of changing the future. "
Just tell us what needs to be done. " Veira added as she looked
at the others.

Val listened and she could feel the tension giving her chills
down her spine. She was horrified by the tought of what could be
happening there. She might have been ignorant of the modern
world and even dread the idea to go in the cities even if she
did it once. Although innocents lives could be at risk and her
good nature compelled her to lend them a hand.
"If i can do anything at all, please let me know. I might not
know this world as much as you do but I know some of you have
people you hold dear and it would break my heart to see anyone i
cherish being in pain.." She said trying to contain herself
while anger was rising within her.
