"Sonic!" he cried out instinctly sprinting towards him reaching
a hand out. A gutsy move from the hedgehog to deal with that
power copying scumbag. Soul leaped after him and all Ty did was
sit there and watch them fall, trusting Sonic to get out of this
jam and Soul to rescue him.

"[shadow=crimson,right]What could I possibly do to gain your
trust then? I haven't lied, but it is up to you if you wish to
believe in the truth or not[/shadow]" Caroline would say to
Karahl and Soul, her ears lower lightly before she'd let out an
unhappy yowl at the kunai tosses, as they pinned down her coat
to the building's rooftop. With her hands occupied, Caroline
would try to kick the kunai from being pinned to her coat,
"[shadow=crimson,right]Always had such accuracy in your
aim..Nnrk!-[/shadow]" Caroline's eyes would widen, her pupils
becoming slits as Sonic leapt back and sent them both off the
edge of the building. Caroline's hands would heat up before her
claws would shoot out of her paw-like hands and she would
scratch for the rooftop, trying to hold on the best she could.
Not even the kunai holding her in place was enough, they would
simply tare at her coat, ripping it till she and Sonic tumbled,
Sonic would go first, Caroline would manage to snag the edge of
the building, her claws having scratched along the rooftop till
she hit the edge, leaving a thin trail where her claws had
dragged. Reaching a hand out to Karahl, her ears pinned back in
fright.. "[shadow=crimson,right]Mothe-![/shadow]" She wouldn't
get to finished before the wind whipped past and swept her off
the edge of the building.
As Soul dived for Sonic, he would find Tails coming up as well,
the fox was quick to snatch Sonic under the arms and heave,
trying to pull him back up, his twin tails furiously spinning to
keep them both in the air. "You're heavier then I remember!"
Tails would grunt, as they made their slow decent upwards.
Caroline however would still be falling, flying right past Sonic
and Tails. Could she actually survive this fall? Was she
bluffing before? Would they stay and watch to find out..?

Sonic looked up to see a somewhat larger Tails carrying him. He
went pale as if he had seen a ghost. This fox wearing the
goggles was the spitting image of his deceased little brother.
Sonic rubbed his eyes in disbelief looking up at the figure that
saved him from ending up a stain on the sidewalk. Watching Soul
in pursuit he looked up before his eyes looked down. Most people
would have missed it but Sonic's eyes were so quick he caught
the whole thing. Caroline looked scared and further more she
reached out for Karahl and tried to stop herself from falling
from the building. Sonic was right to call her bluff she wasn't
willing to die for her beliefs nor was she as powerful as she
bragged about being. After making a mental note he looked up to
the hovering orange fox making a demand in a stern tone. "Put me
down!"

Karahl's narrowed eyes widened suddenly as the two went over the
edge, and she too found herself running towards the edge of the
building's rooftop to watch them go over. She had no explanation
for it, but the only thing that was going through her mind was
to go forward still! A feeling deeply buried inside her made her
heart feel like it was about to leap out of her mouth at the
very sight of the two of them going over. She knew Sonic would
have been fine... but why was she feeling like this.
Even with Soul diving after them, and for reasons she too could
not explain, the tiger leapt over the edge and dove. She even
drew out her heavy, diamond-reinforced Tonfa from her wasit belt
and held them in front of her as she fell, allowing the shift in
weight distribution change to help her fall at an even greater
speed. The wind was roaring, so loud that if she even chose to
yell out she would not hear her own voice. Then suddenly she saw
something yellow fly by and grabbed Sonic and she would have
given him a thumbs up as a thanks, but she was falling far too
quickly for that.
Second later, she managed to catch up to HER then placed one
tonfa back to it's place on her belt and used that free hand to
grab hold of Caroline under the arms and around her back. With
hardly enough time to spare, and with the ground rushing towards
them to greet the pair to their bloody and splattered demise,
Karahl honestly had no idea what she was going to do at this
point. The tiger bared her fangs and whirled around to face the
building and slammed the only tonfa in her other hand into the
wall. Glass from some windows shattered, but didn't even have
time to fall onto the felines for they were still falling.
Karahl tried again, only to result in the same thing.
They continued to fall...
...At this point they were surely only ten stories from the
ground floor.
Karahl tried again, roaring with desperation, this time managing
to lodge the tonfa into the concrete wall and the pair came to a
sudden halt. Karahl was breathing deeply as she stared at her
weapon, even laughing slightly in disbelief that it worked, "And
Sonic insisted that I should use Katana. Ha!"
She looked up to find that the debris and glass from her earlier
attempts were heading straight for them, and she covered herself
over Caroline so that she would not get peppered by the shards.
The tiger then looked down towards where Caroline was, "... What
did you just call me?" she asked, her heart pumping still from
adrenaline. They were hanging several stories above the ground
now.

Considering what just happend, Soul basically just jumped off
for nothing, that is where he come in. Without hesitation he
dived off the building and held Soul within his grasp. He
quickly forges an ice grapple hook and uses it to fling them
both back to the top.

The hedgehog would come to a surprise as he saw the twin tailed
fox catching Sonic right in the nick of time, leaving Caroline
however to fall back down. Well Sonic's safe for now at least
but he couldn't help but have this feeling to continue down and
catch her. How else were they gonna save the city and take off
the dome. He placed his hands in the opposite direction and gave
out a little boost using his flames to accelerate his descent
towards her; but before he could do so the hybrid Ty managed to
catch him and pull him back up causing him to stutter and yell
just like Sonic did "Wha--wait! Let go we need to go back
for--". Something black and white came down fast while they were
ascending and looking back down it was Karahl diving toward
Caroline. Now safely at the top again he looked over the edge
nervously to see if Kara and Caroline survived, the hedgehog
would be relieved luckily the two have managed to halt their
descent. He looked back at the hybrid "Thanks Ty but Yanno I
could have just flown back up here right?"

Tails would put Sonic down, but not until they'd reached the top
of the building... Which everyone had just jumped off of. The
fox would back away from Sonic after setting him down, holds up
his hands after Sonic's stern tone. "You're never gonna believe
me about this huh?" Tails would say to Sonic, looking aside as
he kicked a foot againt the floor, his shoes where still the
same looking kicks that Sonic had known him to wear, "Honestly?
I don't blame you, you saw me die, but you saw Sapphire die too,
ah- well, nows not a good time huh? I'llllll.. Go check on the
others" He'd say with a nervous smile before peeking over the
edge of the building to see what was going on below.
Everything happened so suddenly, so quickly, Caroline had barely
enough time to do anything as Karahl leapt into action. The
young feline Karahl grabbed hold of looked terrified as the two
continued to fall and Karahl tried multiple times to stop their
fall but with no luck. Finally her attempts broke through though
and she would lodge herself and Caroline on the wall. The cat
prepared herself for the shattering of the glass they'd broken
on the way down, only for nothing much to hit her, as Karahl had
blocked the glass parts from the younger feline. Caroline looked
confused but didn't dare let go of the tiger, her tail flicking,
the bell jingling as she hung her head.
"[shadow=Crimson,right]Mother.. I called you mother..[/shadow]"
She would answer, glancing up with... Was that misty Crimson
eyes? The cat would take a moment to catch her breath before
she'd hold a hand over a wound Karahl would've gained from the
glass that had shattered down on her before, it might've not
really harmed the tiger, she might not of felt it, regardless
the cat still did something about it. After a moment or two, the
wound would heal, it would be small cuts, but they would heal
right in front of them.
After they had Caroline would look away
"[shadow=Crimson,right]Why did you stop me from
falling?[/shadow]" She would ask, reaching up a paw to grab at
the wall, trying to dig her smaller claws into it.
"[shadow=Crimson,right]I thought you thought I was a
liar[/shadow]" She would add, her ears pinning back again,
giving the current position, it made it easy for Karahl to talk
to her without her running off, regardless, Caroline still
seemed to be attempting to get away, to grab onto the wall
herself. With little success though of course.
"[shadow=Crimson,right]Why did you help me?[/shadow]" She would
ask again, softer this time, looking down once more.

Karahl stared at Caroline for a good long moment in disbelief
and without saying a word. Her grip on the younger feline was
firm, given the situation they were in, but not impossible to
escape from. The ninja looked over to the side for a moment,
thinking about some of the conversations Sonic had with her when
he talked about Sapphire, the hints about a so-called future
Caroline spoke about on the rooftop and some of the footage she
had shown.
'Time travel? That's still nonsense.' she thought to herself,
convinced.
"Mother? Why would you - that's impossible, I am unable to bare
ch-" she muttered to herself before frowning and shaking her
head. Karahl then brought HER up to eye level and her voice grew
cold and strong; probably trying to even convince herself?
"That's not funny. I don't have any children and judging from
your age I would have been far to young to conceive regardless."
Truthfully, even now she had no idea why she jumped. She was
acting purely on instinct, not really realizing that it was
maternal instinct. An instinct that would have easily gotten
herself killed, but she wasn't about to reveal that to Her
either.
"You're lucky that a bit of Sonic has rubbed off on me, among
other reasons I probably should have just let you fall. As for
you being a liar, I do not know that. I simply do not believe
statements that just seem to be too far fetched to be
believable, or without evidence - especially upon meeting
someone for the first time. Unless I have been an absentee
'mother', you should have known that." the tiger explained,
raising a quizzical brow at Caroline, "There are a number of
reasons why I chose to save you. One of them is I need answers.
Are you involved with this dome? If so, why is it here? What is
it's purpose? Why are the citizens being forced into another way
of living? What do you have against Sonic and Ty?"
Karahl gritted her teeth against each other tightly as Caroline
healed her wounds on her back. It felt white-hot and painful,
for her body is unable to handle exposure to magic of any kind.
Luckily though, the injuries were only minor, so she wasn't
writhing in agony, the healing spell did it's job and she was
able to mask most of her pain behind her cold and serious
demeanor.

Caroline would shake her head to Karahl,
"[shadow=crimson,right]No, not impossible, you know it's not
impossible, it's difficult and you struggle to, but it's not
impossible[/shadow]" the feline would assure her, as Karahl
brought her up to eye level "[shadow=crimson,right]You don't yet
that's correct but that doesn't mean you won't have any, it's
all to do with time. Just look at Sapphire, although... I take
it you don't believe her on the time travel thing, do you? What
does not convince you?[/shadow]" She would ask, her tail
flicking again.
The tiger made all good points, but Caroline didn't seem to
become at all panicked or changed about her view,
"[shadow=crimson,right]You're right, I should've, it's just..
been a while.. and time changed everyone at least a
little[/shadow]" She would look away, her ears still pinned back
against her head. Now she knew how Sapphire felt when she'd
first met Sonic in this time.
Caroline would stick out her lower lip slightly at being
questioned. But she decided to answer them for the tigress.
"[shadow=crimson,right]Yes, I'm involved, I made the dome.. It's
here to keep people trapped and others out so those inside
cannot be helped. Ask Sapphire, I've used it before...[/shadow]"
The last questions she would go a bit quiet on.
"[shadow=crimson,right]Are you sure you want to know?[/shadow]"
She would ask, raising one of her own eyebrows.
"[shadow=crimson,right]I will admit though, I have nothing
against Ty, nothing personal anyway.. He just.. has gotten in
the way before[/shadow]" Least she was being honest?
The cat would cup a hand over her mouth at Karahl's reaction to
her attempted heal, "[shadow=crimson,right]I'm so sorry! I
forgot-Ugh[/shadow]" She would clasp a hand to her own forehead
before sighing lightly, "[shadow=crimson,right]I'm sorry, I
didn't mean to hurt you..[/shadow]" She would say gently,
looking up at Karahl before she'd begin to glow a soft red,
"[shadow=crimson,right]You can let go, I'll be okay[/shadow]"
She'd say. Now that she was glowing she would feel much...
lighter, so much in fact that she basically felt weightless in
Karahl's grip.
Maybe she wasn't bluffing before, maybe she could fly to some
degree, just Sonic jumping them off had caught her off guard?
Would Karahl let go to find out?

Watching Karahl dive over the edge he gave an annoyed groan.
"Now of all times she chooses to grow a conscience." Letting out
a huff he called down to the two. "I'm coming guys just hang
on." In a flash the two were both atop the tower once more. Once
the two were safe Sonic pried Caroline from Karahl's grasp. He
slammed Caroline against the giant TV pointing to the soldiers
below. "You're going to call off your troops now! It's clear
you're no where near as powerful as you bragged about. That fall
for Karahl and myself was cake. It's clear you're still a rookie
in over her head. What do you want with these people? How do you
know Sapphire AND WHY DOSE THAT GUY LOOK LIKE TAILS!?"
