[Arc Starter] City Fall

The gentle pitter patter of rain against everything the droplets
from above could reach. The moist, thick musky air that hovered
over the city as everything was covered in a shower of dew. The
refreshing, calming kind of smell that rain brought...

like it's going to be a beautiful day today Dan, what about

As usual, the radio would sound from a few local cafe's and
restaurants, whom had yawning mobians starting to set up for the
day. The morning showers gently dripping down onto their
muzzles, beaks and snouts, serving as a light reminder that it
was time to wake up and plunge into the day ahead.
Come the afternoon, lunchtime was in full swing and as was the
once gentle showers, which had picked up the more storm-like
conditions over the course of the day. As the rain picked up, so
did the winds, blowing around shops flyers and other
advertisements and papers this way and that about the city
streets. Most shops where either empty or closed now due to the
bad change in weather conditions. Those whom dared stay outside
would tug back against the wind, as it attempted to snatch away
their umbrella's and pull at their raincoats.

The lukewarm feeling that the late afternoon sun brought managed
to sneak a through rays of golden light through the powering
grey storm clouds above, welcoming the drenched Mobotropolis
city with the light it had been missing all day.
Taking advantage of the brief sunlight, a young male feline
child would rush out in bright yellow gum boots, and a matching
raincoat, his tail trailing behind him as he jumped into every
puddle he laid eyes on, sending water splashes everywhere with
each jump. He would laugh as he played, hands raised high above
his head as he raced through the wet streets, the roads free of
cars or bikes, nothing in his way to stall his play.
As suddenly as it had come, the rain would come to a stop. One
last single drop hitting the feline fair on his soft little pink
nose. He would blink before looking up, wondering where the rain
had gone so suddenly. But saw nothing. The skies where clear as
day.
Others whom where wondering by outside as well, grasped their
hands from outside of their umbrella's protection, tilting their
heads and letting out their confusion before looking up to the
sky. Where had the rain gone so suddenly?
"Look! Up there!" A rather canine looking mobian would shout
out, pointing to the sky. In front of one golden ray of sun
peeking through the clouds, a slim snowy white cat with black
tipped hair and crimson glowing eyes would float, her tail
wavering about gently in the breeze, as did her long red trench
coat.
She had her hands out in front of her, and they would pulse a
glowing red along with the bracelets she wore around her wrists.
The golden bell on the band around her neck shimmered warm and
bright as it caught the sun's glare, which would also gleam
against the snowy fur of the feline, giving off a glowing look
to her.
As she looked upon the great city, her hair whipped about gently
in the wind, and her lips curved into a light malicious smile.
"[shadow=crimson,right]Citizens of Mobotropolis. Good Afternoon.
Do not fret about where your Spring shower has gone to. I have
simply... blanketed your city from it..[/shadow]" There would be
a soft 'click' and the feline's hands would stop glowing..
Something see through would land, surrounding the city, not just
on ground but in the air too, like a dome of glass. The cat,
whom was clearly on the otherside, above the glass really, would
float down and tap it with a finger, making the entire dome
shimmer the colours of the rainbow in a ripple-like effect,
showing off the size of the dome.
The dome completely covered the city, like a giant bubble. A
giant impenetrable bubble.
It would still be raining on the outside of the dome, but the
city was now untouched by the rain.
The young feline whom had been jumping in puddles earlier, ran
back inside his families house for his parents comfort as the
snow white cat began to stride across the top of the dome in her
high boots. Every step she made sent out a ripple of rainbow,
bouncing and shimmering its way across the dome's face.
"[shadow=crimson,right]Now. There are two ways we can go about
this... The easy way.. Or the hard way.[/shadow]" The feline's
strong voice would boom powerfully all throughout the city, even
though she was on top of the dome on the opposite side to the
city itself.
"[shadow=crimson,right]The easy was is simple, do not resist my
forces as they escort you to your new living quarters and no one
is to be harmed in the process... The hard way, well.. If you
put up a fight and cause problems.. Mmm..[/shadow]" She would
place a hand to her chin in thought for a moment before snapping
her fingers, her tail giving a twitch, making the bell tied
around the tip jingle joyfully. "[shadow=crimson,right]You won't
be alive much longer after, to continue such problems~[/shadow]"
She would finish with a wink down to the city before she'd snap
her fingers, disappearing in a colourful flash.
When she disappeared, other figures would appear inside the
dome, figures of all shapes and sizes, whom began tearing the
city apart to grab people and send them off in flashes of light
as well.
But not all the new figures to appear where brutal and ruthless
in trying to get to people.
Some where gentle, kind, and might be similar to some people...
"Get as many people out of here as you can! Let's go go go!" One
particular deep yellow and white fox would call out, one with a
belt around his waist, a pair of piolet goggles rested atop his
head, and two tails to count for...

"Hey you.." As if on cue, a muscular figure tower the little
nerdy fox staring him down with cold green eyes. They were
appeared to be calm yet stern, he saw his brother disappeared
without a trace with no explanation and he wanted answers.
He suspected Tails and the other invaders has something to do
with it given how the citizens are vanishing in a very similar
fashion.
"My brother Blaze the Hedgewolf, dissappeared along with these
other people your kidnapping , you are going to tell me where
are you taking him and the civilians before I get really
upset.." he spoke to the boy with daggers and venom. Crossing
his arns it was clear he didn't sound very happy.

The cyan hedgehog carrying his umbrella could have sworn it just
rained a minute ago; looking back up there was nothing but the
clear sky and a feline whose fur was white as snow. Things were
starting to get clear to him about then he suddenly saw the
others disappearing in a flash of light along with these
mysterious figures. Fighting these mysterious figures might be a
bad idea for now so he made a run for it in hopes to find his
other friends and tell them about this, when right by the corner
he saw the muscular hybrid Ty confronting a yellow fox who
seemed familiar...the closer he came to them he realized it was
Tails.
It was Sonic's adoptive little brother standing before them,
however if he recall the young fox had passed away in a tragic
incident. He was there the last time he saw him. In shock he
couldn't help but utter the words "H-how are you alive..Whats
going on here!?"

"Kidnapping?" The two tailed fox would give a light scoff before
pointing back at Ty "We're helping people! We're saving as many
as we can from HER! SHE probably took your brother.. I.. I'm
sorry for your loss my friend" His tone would change suddenly,
at first he was angry of being accused of kidnapping people but
from Ty's point of view. It kinda made sense...
"You.. You're Ty aren't you? Listen Ty I have no time to
explain, we need to get as many people to safety as quick as
possible, otherwise they'll end up like your brother.. We'll
figure out a way to get him back home safely alright?" He would
add, giving Ty a slight comforting smile.
Then came Soul, who brought up a good point, Tails would place a
hand on the hedgehog's shoulder "I'll explain once we're all
safe alright? This is a bad spot for stories" He'd say, looking
around before he'd give Soul a slight concerned glance, then
holding out his hand, he'd place some weirdly coloured spheres
in the Hedgehog's hands "Take these, you will need them. They
will warp anyone they pop on straight to Knothole in my time.
Either of you know Sapphire or Robin? It'll send you straight to
their home. So be careful with them, you can have 5 each, get as
many innocents to safety as possible then use the last one on
yourselves. Got it?" He would say, holding a handful out to Ty
as well "The Future is counting on you"
As the heroes talked, HER's troops moved in on anyone they
could, kicking down locked door and grabbing people from their
vehicles and stores.
The troops where of all sizes and wore weird looking suits,
mainly consisting of black with different coloured stripes and
other patterns on different troops. A rather large troop for
instance had a deep red colour with simple stripes where as a
slimmer, smaller one had a light blue with dots. None of their
faces could be seen as they wore helmets similar to motorbike
helmets, with the visors down and too dark to see even their
eyes.

He was given a handful of weird sphere like contraptions in the
palm of his hands, he glanced up at Tails confirming his status,
HER did in fact snatched him away after all, he could tell this
guy's statement hold some merit by mentioning the future and
knowing his name somehow. Still he was quite skeptical of this
stranger. Questions will have to be answered another time,
company has arrived.
"How do I use these devices?" he asked.

Suddenly, a masked figure dropped from a rooftop and landed
rather closely and precisely in between Ty and Soul. As she
recovered from the drop and stood up straight, the long trails
of her mask whipped behind her in the wind like black ribbons.
From the looks of it, she was outside when it was showering
briefly before the city was covered by a dome.
"We know Sapphire," she began, her voice respectfully cold but
also filled with suspicion as the tiger stared at the fox with
her piercing blue eyes, "I am coming along as well. You seem to
know what is happening, being here just as the city has been
held captive."
Karahl reached for a handful of the devices, being one closer
for inspection. The ninja wasn't very familiar with using
technology, at best she knew how to use a phone and very basic
use of a computer... certainly not teleporting spheres.
"First question. How do we activate these devices? The rest can
com later." she added.

Sonic was in a gentleman's clothing store when the troops
started their march upon the city. He was holding his arms out
straight as the Tailor took his measurements for a tuxedo. "So
this is for your wedding is it? Finally got the courage to pop
the question to Princess Sally?" The old Tailor asked before
writing Sonic's measurements down. "When you're king think
you'll still have time to stop smaller crimes." Sonic ran his
hands through his spines looking unimpressed before replying.
"Nah man it's not Sal. We had our fun as kids but things change
and so do people. I've had a new girl for the past few years.
She's an evil psychotic b,itch and I wouldn't have her any other
way. I love a woman who can kick my ass. I've learned a lot
since I've met a certain little blue hedgehog. She taught me
you've gotta do whats going to make you happy." Sonic smiled
thinking on the many laws and rules he's broken in order to lead
his new team and to be with Karahl. He's lied to the king
covered for his friends and even turned a blind eye to his
tiger's murdering misdeeds. Sonic paused hearing the radio
broadcast the entire event. He rolled his eyes and gave a smug
smile. "If it's not Robotnik it's some other cr,acked egg. Gotta
put a pin in this for now." He said storming out of the store to
see the residents being taken away. The image of people being
torn from their homes made Sonic's heart ache. It was the
holiday season and the sight of children being dragged from
their comfy homes screaming was making Sonic sick. He looked at
all the troops and cr,acked his fingers before cracking his
shoulders. "Time to get to work." He said as he stormed up the
side of a building. Running so fast he defied gravity itself
Sonic's sneakers managed to get him up a one hundred story sky
scraper. He smiled grasping a microphone as his face was
broadcast on the giant TV screen atop the building.
"Listen up! Losers, cause I don't like to repeat myself. You
picked the wrong city to screw with. Encase you've been living
under a rock this city is home to the greatest crime fighting
team in the world. It's badass leader a man of inescapable skill
and speed. If you're going to threaten my city, you're gunna
have to deal with me. So save yourselves the embarrassment and
go back to whatever rock you crawled out from under." Sonic
seemed smug absolutely brimming with confidence as he pressed
onward. "It'll take me like seven seconds to knock every unit in
Mobotropolis. After that I'll tear down this stupid dome and
find who ever is behind this. You slomos have one chance to
leave my city." He said before dropping the microphone as the
live feed was cut. Sonic stormed down to the streets ready to
attack should they not comply with his demands.

Tails would let out a light yelp at the sudden appearance of
Karahl, placing a hand to his chest and letting out a small huff
before shaking it off and focusing back. Upon her saying that
they knew Sapphire, the fox would nod and hold a hand out to her
as well with some more of the spheres, both Ty and Karahl asked
how to activate them, Tails would hold up a finger before
pointing to the top of one of the sphere's, "See this circular
pattern atop of them? Hold down a finger on it before throwing
it, hard enough for it to crack preferably. It will form a
bubble around whomever it lands closest to and it will send them
straight to Knothole, easy enough right?" He'd explain as he
pressed down on a button of his own and threw it at a civilian
whom was trying to escape from one of the troopers. A bubble
would form around the citizen and a few seconds later, it would
pop and they would be gone.
"BUT don't hold it for too long after activating it, don't throw
it before it goes off? It'll warp you, save that for your last
bubble, alright guys?-" Tails would look to a TV nearby and
seemed to freeze seeing Sonic appear on it.
Wandering over to the shop that had the TV on, and pressing his
hands against the glass that kept him from the TV he'd stare for
a few moments before pointing at it and looking back at the
others "Does anyone know where he's located to be broadcasting
this? We need him in safety.."

"[shadow=crimson,right]Drop the microphone Hedgehog.[/shadow]"
Would come a cold, demanding voice from behind Sonic. If he
turned, he'd come face to face with the one whom had put the
dome here in the first place. A cat, mostly snowy white in
colour with black tipped hair and piercing crimson eyes, her
eyes never left the blue hedgehog.
The wind from where the two stop atop the high skyscraper would
pick up rather suddenly, like the feline was surrounded by a
storm herself. She wore no sign of a smile while she looked at
Sonic. "[shadow=crimson,right]Hand it to me, and I'll make this
easier on you.[/shadow]".
The troops below showed no sign of stopping, pausing only a
moment to take a short listen to what Sonic had said, before
continuing as relentless as before. The young boy feline who had
been jumping in puddles earlier was now out on the streets with
his mother and two sisters. They where soon split apart, running
for their lives away from the gaining troops behind them. One
sister was quickly caught but began to hit back, making it not
possible for the trooper to warp her away yet. "Help me!
Please!" She would scream out to the emptying streets.

Karahl nodded once, "Undertstood." she replied simply, before
turning her head slightly as she heard particulars of the
commotion around them; including seeing Sonic on the television
screen before adding, "I know that building. I'll go after him.
Each of you are free to do as you see fit and see you all soon."
And just like that, she was gone, having slipped into the
chaotic crowds around them. Some may notice three spheres
appearing then suddenly disappearing moments later somewhere in
the crowd, taking away the little boy, one of his sisters whom
wasn't captured and his mother away to Knothole.
Some time later, another piercing cold voice crawled on over
from behind HER's back, "Hurt a quill on his back and I will
definitely not make your life any easier."
If SHE was to turn around, she would see a certain ninja
crouched on top of a roof air duct and four Kunai in between
each finger of each hand; at the ready to strike, "Who are you?"
she demanded, tone void of any friendliness.

He nodded and did exactly what was instructed, he dashed off
towards the troopers and disposed most of them with hand to hand
combat occasionaly piercing some of them with ice weopons and
shards. He transported the people using four of the spheres,
leaving the last one to himself for later use.
Like Karahl, he too spotted HER and wanted a piece of her mind
for taking away his one and only sibling. "Where is my brother,
should anything happen to him, you will suffer a bad case of
hyperthermia!" he narrowed his eyes having made it to the
rooftop.
