Sleepless Nightmare Was it Real?

Two out of three of Eggman's victoms of deception were able to
find peace through a marriage proposal, one of the three however
was given another dose of post traumatic stress disorder as his
reward. The greatest perk of having a disciplinary stoic
expression is that it can put up a mask to fool people into
thinking he was a calm, cool, collected yet pretty cheerful guy,
and he prefers it to stay that way.
He was never the type of person to burden others with his
problems nor was he the type to dwell on the past either, the
trick works wonders for him, eventually the mask may wear off
someday and it wont have any effect on those he grew a close
bond with. That's to say its what he assumed, for all he knew
the mask doesnt work already and they could be following him to
check on his well being. He didnt care, all he wants to do is to
get some rest and forget about the event that led to this point
and move on.
Owning an apartment of his own he approached the front entrance,
unlocking the knob to get inside. The interior of the place
wasnt spectacular or anything just your average funiture and
architecture indistinguashable from a plain old house. With
haste he walked into his room, changed into his camo boxers and
flopped on his confy matress.
The following day he opening his eyes, got out of bed to start
his morning rutine. Stretching his arms and legs here and there,
creaking feet approaching the bathroom, a mirror relflecting on
the wolf turning on the faucet, a toothbrush pasted with mint
flovared toothpaste splattered on his muzzle, fangs were
scrubbing fiercly making sure the bateria in his mouth was
diminished for the day.
Suddently his entire front entrance exploded exposing the view
of outside, no time to change into his clothes he rushed through
the hole to confront the assalient who busted his living
quarters. Egg Pawns, Buzzbombers, and Motorbugs surrounded the
complex cutting off his escape. With little options he prepared
to fight.
Frozen robots, freezing spin dash, weopons of ice and hand to
hand combat, try as he might there was too many, the amount of
enemies were extremely large even for him. They are preparing
to fire thier respective weopons and all he could do is grit his
teeth in defeat, his fate was doomed.
? "Give up, you have no where to go you insolent pest!" a PA
speaker threaten to make him go deaf. His sharp eyes spotted an
egg shaped man with a sinister grin sitting confortably on a
hoverchair.
"Eggman!.." he spat being more then ready to tear him to pieces.
Dr Eggman: "Surrender Now! and I promise your legionization will
end smoothly!" he stroked his muschtache only and sported a ****
eating grin no amount of people could stand.
As if on cue a blue hedgehog zipped right next to the wolf ready
to send Eggman packing alongside him. "Never!, with allies on my
side you could never win doctor!"
Sonic: "you got that right buddy I got this!" and just like that
he zoomed around into a circle and all of those fiendish
machines were swepted away into the junkyard including Eggman.
He sighed with relief, "Thanks for the save blue, I own you
one.." he smiled showing his gratitiude. Something was off the
hero of mobious didnt turn around to face him making the super
solider confused. "Sonic?"
Sonic:"Thats what pals are for Ty, we stick to together to the
end, we beat up bad guys while I look good in front of the
camera." Suddenlty his fur flashed into a golden hue, a hand
grabbed the canines neck and red eyes glared into his own, a
cocky grin flashed on his muzzle with the victom gasping for
air. [glow=gold,2,300]"you wanna know why speed is my jam? let
me answer that question for you..YOU AND I ARE GOING FOR A
RIDE!!"[/glow]
It all happened so fast before he knew it he was flunged into
space, a kick impacted him hard enough back to the mobian
surface. Before he could do anything about it everything went
dark as he continue to fall.
He found himself inside a warehouse shaking off the adreniline
rush from falling out of space. There was nobody around, the
place was quiet, looks like the area was abandoned long ago...
"Where am I?...Anyone here?" he called out to anyone who was
around to hear his cry for help. Suddently a tall dark figure
hidden itself within the shadows, his ears were sharp enough to
detect the noise of footsteops apporaching him.
? "Ty....its been a while" revealing a ninja tigress who speaks
with a voice of wistom molded into a tone of a disiplinary
warrior.
"Karahl!?...your....your here...alive!...I....I thought you were
gone-!" he dreaded on the thought of her death. He couldnt
believe his eyes, he scurried over, almost tripping to give her
a much needed hug, he missed her so much its been centuries
since he last saw her.
Karahl: -smiled under her mask, returing the hug like a mother
to a child- "Iv'e been away on many missions for the past few
months and ive decided to come to you for aid, my student" she
broke the hug, her softness of her cyan eyes reverted back to
serious business, they glared unto his own sharp eyes canceling
out any sign of differences.
This mission has to dangerous enough for it to be urgent he
wondered what kind of objective it was she needed his help with.
"Ive come to realize I cant complete every assignment given to
me, at least not alone anyway, your talents in the feild are
best suited to up my chances of success, im here to make an
offer you would find it hard to refuse.." she approached him
swaying her hips amd tail, she moved into his face and stopping
short of herself, "I want you to work with me not as a student
but as my partner, you are officially declared a full time Snow
Claw member" she smiled.
-Red were beamed on his muzzle- "I....I feel honored to work
with you....I accept and will glady provide you assistance" he
was within range of her mask, will he have the guts to kiss her?
Karahl: "Great!" she smiled brightly eyes closed, then kicked
him in the stomach using a sneak attack powerful enough to knock
him unto the floor, he missed his chance to make a move, poor
guy. "I want to prepare you the upcoming trials we are about to
face together with a little training session, on your feet young
one." she lunged at him predator style threatening to take his
life with a punch.
He quickly rolled to the left his reflexes saving him. He sprung
back up and attempt to strike her with close quarters combat.
His experience in the military at the very least allowed him to
parry some of her moves trying his best to wait for an opening
to counterattack. During this fight she used her tomfa's and he
tried to clash against hers with his own ice variation. Tried as
he might though there is good reason why she is the master and
he was the student.
Karahl: Altought the duel were certainly even as far as who
scored in a hit, she had the element of surprise at her side and
wasnt afraid to exploit it. she threw a smoke bomb vanishing
into the smoke. she suddently wrapped Ty around in some rope to
where he couldnt move.
"A ninja is always prepared to expect the unexpected, they also
endure the pain brought on by thier foes, you must remain
vigilant at times as you have much to learn, better luck next
time"
He was punt kicked out of a window, heading straight for the
ocean, he fell right in the deep liquid and was sinking, due to
the fact he was stuck in rope he couldnt struggle himself out of
the wire, the water filled up his lungs and he drowned.
Once again everything was dark, a pair of sharp eyes opened to
view exactly what it says on the tin, was he dead? a spotlight
brighten what appears to be red curtains, they slide apart
revealing a crowd of people clapping and cheering for some
reason. interestingly the rope was gone. "What the!?" he blinked
twice and another spotlight revealed a cyan colored hedgehog
carrying a microphone, sporting a tuxedo.
? "Hey everybody welcome to tonights show "Fun with Puns" I am
your host Soul the Hedgehog and im gonna start things off with a
joke to brighten your day! Joining me here for tonight is an old
friend of mine who's very good at body building Ty the
Hedgewolf!" he grinned with glee, satisfied to hear the audience
cheering and clapping waiting to see what he can come up with.
He was appaled and mosty confused, he couldve sworn he was
drowning minutes ago, how the hell did he end up on stage?
"Soul? whats the meaning of this, since when do you run a comedy
show?"
Soul:"Since I became famous my man, after the freedom fighters
disbanded I took a career in stand up comedy to tell jokes and
everyone loves it! I dunno what went down but I heard you had
something to do with it, way to "BREAK THE ICE" dude"
the crowd laughts at his reaction and wanting more, and Soul
was gonna to give it to them.
[color=darkblue]"Im sorry...I didnt mean it! I was only trying
to help.." he looked at him with guilt. its obvious he regrtted
his actions.
Soul:"Cheer up bro, its water under the bridge now, how's about
another joke to lift your soul!" he went over to a strange lever
that appeared next to Ty, the latter is now standing on a trap
door. A sinister grin spooked the hybrid.
Soul: "Hey Ty? what did spring say to summer saying
goodbye?...SEE YOU NEXT FALL!!" he pulled the level, the door
opened underneathed his feet and he fell down into the endless
darkness once again.
Opening his eyes once more, he found himself strapped to an
operation table in a medical lab, his body appears to be in pain
and numb in some areas, there wasnt any use trying to struggle
himself out of this perdiciment tried as he might. the strapes
where too tight and he is forced to wait until someone tend to
his wounds. That someone walked in the room looked like a nurse,
he couldnt get a good look at her face from his position, she
was fidgeting around with the equipment for a few minutes until
she stepped right over to Ty givimg him a clear view of who it
is.
? "Your finally awake Ty" greenish eyes gazed upon him while
flashing a light. She wore a mask to cover her muzzle but he
could still recongnize her by the hair and the sound of her
voice.
"Sapphire? what are you doing here?" he questioned, he knew she
carried some kind of medical firearm but never asked her the
name of it.
Sapphire: "I work here as a medic, now hold still so I can
inject some painkiller on you, this is gonna sting a little
okay?" she took a needle and squeeze in the substance, He
quickly flinched away realzing what she is going to do, she had
cut open his chest to place in a weird device located to his
heart, it looked like a big thermometer turning knob found on a
furnace.
"How did I get here?. whats happening to me?" he wondered, he is
beginning to feel drowsy and he is mustering up the strength to
hear her answer.
Sapphire: her eyes appear to be bitter and vindicative, a stark
contrast to the innocent girl he knew. "Dont you remember Ty?
you beat up Scout because you thought he "kidnapped me" and
because of you I will never see him again!"
The hybrid didnt understand what is she talking about he has
never met Scout before in his entire life, what the heck is
going on? "Scout?....why couldnt you see him again?" playing
along, this is probably someone whom she hold dear.
Sapphire: Tear dripped from her eyes in anger and grief. "You
killed him Ty, he is dead, gone forever!...and SO ARE YOU!!" she
injected him once again, this time it was a lethal dosage of
painkillers causing his world to be pitch black once again.
He woke up surrounded by a burning forest, animals where nowhere
to be found, the trees where losing its traditional shape from
the inferno, the culprit appeared to be a single male ninja
figure roughtly the same height as Ty. He stood in the middle of
the carnage holding a sword in hand, that blade looked very
familar, like he has seen it before....
The former G.U.N agent locked onto the perpatrater gritting his
teeth in fury "Who are you!? are you the one who did all of
this!?" he gets into a battle stance.
? "Im something you should have been, a success and not a
failure like you brother." he removed his hood to reveal Blaze
his only family he has left, completely consumed by evil with
evidence pointing out his eggman branding on his snow claw
uniform.
He was taken aback by his eyes obsorbing the visual image of his
sibling now a minion for the mad doctor. "Blaze!?....what has he
done to you, why did you turn out like this..." he lowered his
guard in defeat, there was no way he could harm his family
member.
Blaze: "For the glory of the Eggman legion, I WILL EXTERMINATE
YOU TY!!" he lunched forward and stabbed him quickly in the gut,
his blue streaked counterpart kneeled backward and fell down
dead. It was dark again....for the millionth time.
He woke up back into his apartment and everything played out the
same as the first sequence of events with one noticeible change,
rather than just Sonic arriving there was Karahl, Soul,
Sapphire, Blaze and even Mallow and Kate. None of them were on
his side, in fact they were all on the side of Eggman, laughting
heinously..pointing out his faliures and how he was fated to die
one day.
Eggman: "Ive captured Sonic and all of your friends Ty! you have
lost this battle and your the worlds biggest loser! Ho! ho ho ho
ho ho ho ho HO HO HO HO HO HO!!!"
"No.." he covered his ears and sat on his knees trying to block
out all of the laughter. the world finally came crashing down on
him. "No..stop please!....NO!....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
"!!!"he instantly gasp and is hyperventilating, his heart
pounding really fast enough to grip his chest. He was back in
his apartment as if nothing happened...it was all a dream...a
really terrifying dream.
Two weeks had past, and he hasnt been fairing any better, ever
since that nightmare he has been getting similar dreams every
night preventing him from ever sleeping again. He is found
slouching on his couch sporting a fully grown beard, his hair is
wilder and unkempt, he hasnt been outside of his house in quite
a while now.

There would be a gentle knock at the door to Ty's apartment
followed by a soft voice calling out to him, "Ty? Ty are you
there? It's Sapphire, can I come in? I'm really worried about
you I haven't seen you in ages, are you okay?" She'd pipe up, a
look of worry on her face as she raise her hand again and would
drum her knuckles against his door once more, "Ty?"

As soon as the first knock struck the door it moved open by
itself, for some reason it wasnt locked, probably because he
forgot to lock the door last night. A really foul stench escaped
from inside and into the tiny nose of Sapphire.
Ty was there slumped on the couch, his clothes are really dirty
and messy, he has a fully grown beard he grew for not shaving in
a long time, his eyes are a dull green color, they lacked
enthusiasm and energy to do anything, his mouth is partially
hanging open, his TV remained on but the only thing its playing
was static. His eyes did in fact glance to get a good look at
the young innocent girl. "..........." not a word was spoken.
There are also flies buzzing around his body being there to be
pests as usual.

Sapphire took on a look of surprise and shock as the door opened
by itself, seemingly already unlocked. She'd grasp the door and
peek inside, scrunching up her nose at the smell of the room hit
her. "Oh jeez Ty what's that- Oh" She paused mid sentence, her
ears drooping as she caught sight of Ty and the state he was in.
"Ty... Ty what's wrong? What happened?" She'd ask softly as she
entered his room, leaving the door open slightly to let some
light and air in.
Reaching Ty she'd place a hand to his forehead "You're not doing
your body any favours bud, you're gonna get sick like this"
Sapphire would say as she climbed onto the couch beside him,
finding the remote to the to which she would switch off.
"When was the last time you ate?" Sapphire added, tilting her
head lightly, her look of concern only worsened, "Talk to me
bud, what's the matter? We needa get you cleaned up first
actually... How about you clean up and we talk over a walk? You
could use some sunlight" Sapphire offered, trying to muster up
an encouraging smile for her friend.

At first he failed to respond, Sapphire's words appeared to have
no effect on him......at first. "...I..." he began to speak,
ears drooped, eyes gleamed with sadness, he was an absolute
train wreck. "I..K-killed, Scout...I didn't mean to....I'm sorry
kid.." he uttered..

Sapphire stared at Ty for a few moments, taking a step back for
a second before her face flashed with multiple emotions, both
worry, sadness and a touch of anger. She poked Ty in the chest
lightly, looks him sternly in the eye, "You have never even met
him Ty. Snap out of it!.. Did you have a nightmare?" She asked,
clearly not buying what Ty had said about killing her partner,
"Ty, why're you doing this to yourself? I'm right here, let me
help you" Sapphire pleaded as she took hold of one of his hands
and tried to pull him off the couch. "Scout is fine and you will
be too"

"!!' that stern face of hers...the same one Sapphire made before
he was killed in retailiation by her..was he going to repeat
this entire dream sequence all over again?
He was somewhat deluded from reality causing him to pretty much
to incorherently hear what was she saying...however certain
phrases such as "Did you have a nightmare?", "Scout is fine" and
"you have never even met him Ty" had helped him see the full
picture, especially when she had hold one of his hands.
"So he is still alive....It was a dream after all.." he stood up
from the couch and gripping his eyes shaking his head. "I did
have a nightmare Sapphire, multiple ones, it was a constant
reminder on how Eggman could easily mind control you guys and
turn you all against me.." He didnt look back at her and
continued his story.
"After being forced to fight my own brother, and recently
discovered Karahl was brainwashed into using me...Im not so sure
if it was just a dream..for all I know he could have already
gotten a hold of you and the others..I dont know what to believe
anymore.." he said.

Sapphire watched Ty as he got up, explaining how he had a
nightmare that involved other people and turning on him, a hand
going to her chin.
However when Ty said he wasn't sure if it was just a dream or
not the young hedgehog would shake her head, "Ty, look at me,
I'm real. I'm not a dream. Is Scout gone? No, those nightmares
are just that, nightmares. Eggman is awful yes and so is the
things he's done and... Kara did get uh. Tricked into helping
but.. I promise you, I'm the real deal okay?" Sapphire would
assure him, giving him a gentle, encouraging nudge on the
shoulder.
"Believe in yourself then! Trust your gut. You know who your
friends are and how they act, if you think your nightmares are
becoming reality, test it. Although I can assure you Scout is
fine, you haven't even met him face to face yet" Sapphire would
open her red bracelet and pull out a photo. No device displaying
a photo, just a regular photo. It was one that contained
Sapphire herself, laughing with a male tiger beside her, his arm
wrapped around her waist, both where happy and looking at each
other. She held it up to Ty and smiled "See? And this my friend.
Isn't a dream, although when I'm with him, aheh... I sure feel
like I'm in one" Sapphire would say with a light sigh, looking
aside.

Ty took a long look at the photo, it was real, no it was very
real indeed, those smiling faces are proof of that, against all
odds his friends have found ways to smile and be happy not even
Eggman could distinguish that feeling of joy from the hearts of
many. A genuine smile was hidden inside his morning beard,
discovering a new purpose and a new mission. To fight against
evil and preserve other peoples happiness.
"You have a strange gift of wisdom squirt"he returned the photo.
"Thank you for getting me out of the dumps and saving my life
the other day" he ruffled her hair and walked away to get
cleaned up, he stopped and glanced at her once more.
"Thanks to you I know what to do now" he walked away to the
shower to get himself cleaned up washing away the sorrow of
broken man, whom was reborn into a man possessing an iron will
once more.

Sapphire's face lit up, Ty seeming to become his old self again,
"Anything for a friend" She replied back with a warm smile,
almost bouncing up and down at the great turn of events.
She'd take back the photo and stare down at it a moment as Ty
went off to clean himself up. Sapphire would run a finger along
the side of the photo that had Scout on it, smiling lightly
she'd find her cheeks begin to redden and heat up. She'd slip
the photo back in her bracelet and huff lightly, her lower lip
sticking out to form a little pout as she looked aside.
She would stay silent until Ty was done, giving his living room
a little clean up while he was in the shower to help out. When
Ty came back out she'd give a small bounce, "I hope you don't
mind, I've just picked up some things and tried to tidy up some
of this for you, I didn't wanna break anything of misplace
anything though"
