Another Day In The Life Of

It was a busy bustling night in the city. The streets were
filled with dozens of eager people excited to meet their hero.
Fan girls were squealing with glee while the excited children
jumped up and down fed up with waiting. At the head of the line
as the heroic hedgehog the lot of them had turned out so see.
Sonic had a black marker in his hand and a smug smirk upon his
face. He tapped the marker against the wooden desk after signing
his name across a cap for a fan who had just fainted. Sonic
smiled just shrugging at he stated. "Yeah I have that effect on
women. Whose next?" He called out as he kicked his legs atop the
desk.

Hana could hear the countless sounds of cheering and hollering
from people nearby. A look of utmost confusion spread across her
face as she was curious as to why everyone was cheering.
However, upon further investigation, the crimson-haired maiden
would focus on a cerulean blue hedgehog who appeared to be
having tons of adoring fans. Perhaps a signing of some sort?
Though she saw a ton of girls squealing, she would not sink so
low.
"Typical. Girls swooning over some man, only to find that their
gawking will only leave them crushed," she sighed and shook her
cranium to and fro, continuing with wherever she was heading off
to. The only person she ever spoke to was Blaze, but it would
take a lot before she would be able to trust others. Heck, it
did take her some time to even gather up the courage to leave
the life she once had, but the dame just wanted to start a new
life with little to worry about. Though, it would probably not
be the case.

Sonic smiled slamming his hand against the desk. "Let's kick
this signing into overdrive!" He exclaimed excited rapidly
writing his super speed allowing him to sign every item in less
than a second. Sonic turned into a blue blur rushing up and down
the line a few times till she skidded to a stop. Addressing the
crowd Sonic said. "Thank you all from coming out. If you'll all
check your phones and cameras, I've just speeded a selfie with
me into each of em." The fans checked their photos and sure
enough a quick picture with Sonic was sitting among the other
pictures after the hero had rushed past them. The audience
cheered excited as the lot of them compared pictures seeing who
was lucky enough to get the best. With his adoring public happy
Sonic waved them off as they went off to go about their days. As
the crowd thinned out Sonic spotted an odd red headed girl he'd
never seen before. He rushed over blazing a trail of fire behind
him as he called out to Hana. "Hey Red! Yeah you in the killer
ball gown." He walked closer trying to get a better look. "You
must be new in town. Otherwise I woulda met you before. Got a
name or you okay with Red?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

After a couple minutes of walking, she would hear someone to
call out to her. Low and behold it was the male who was busy
signing autographs not even five minutes ago. His voice was
rather cocky and acting all insignificant when she first saw
him, but then again it was their first meeting and he couldn't
be all that bad. Right?
She would focus her violet eyes on the emerald ones the male
bore, "My name is Hana. And may I ask who you are since I am
still rather new to this area." She explained, her voice was
calm but it was obvious that she had no idea who this person was
or where she was even located.

Sonic's jaw dropped as Hana told him she hadn't heard of him.
"What do you mean you haven't heard of me? I'm Sonic you know as
in The Fastest Thing Alive! I've saved the world like a million
times from Dr. Robotnik." Sonic's eyes grew wide as he pointed
to a massive billboard with his face in it. "They put me on
billboards for Chaos sake. Lady either you are the best bluff
I've ever seen or you've been living under a rock." He tapped
his foot while wondering before asking. "Do you not own a TV or
something?" Still shocked by her surprise.

"Ah, so you're the Sonic I have heard only once about. Sadly I
have been living under a rock, or should i say a place that I
considered a hell. Even so, you shouldn't so full of yourself,
blue boy," Hana crossed her arms over her chest. The memories of
her past flashed into her mind and pain began to erupt into her
head, though she tried not to show her discomfort.
"Even if you may be fast, there are also some that have been
through worse, and to me now hearing about Robotnik makes me
sick. This is my first time in five years that I have been
outside, Sonic." Hana explained, "So, I suggest you possibly get
back to your fangirls, they'd need your speed to lift them off
their feet." Hana was not mad at Sonic more so at herself for
thinking about memories she wanted to leave behind. However, she
knew that her words might be even more questioning to him, and
she was afraid to even answer.

Sonic crossed his arms as well giving an annoyed frown. "Hana,
Anybody ever tell you you're a real buzzkill." As he listened on
his heart opened offering some sympathy. "First time you've been
outside? That's awful what happened." Sonic shook his head and
shrugged at the crack about the fan girls. "Heh the fan girls.
I'll admit I enjoy the attention but I'm engaged." Before too
long Sonic took a seat at a nearby bench patting the seat beside
him. "Tell me about where you've been. Maybe I can help."

Hana was shocked to hear that someone like him was engaged, and
a buzz kill huh? She would close her eyes, shaking her cranium.
"There's nothing you can do to help now, Sonic. Besides, where I
have been you would think of nothing more than of me being an
uncivilized low-life. Five years of torture and pain, and it was
so bad I couldn't even tell you what it was like." She turned
her head away, eyes closed. Though she wished to cry, her mind
and body refrained her from doing such an action.
"I am sure you know what place I am talking about when I give
off this hint. Services to help people with their...desires."
She spoke, her eyes closing even tighter, "And such a place
where I was stuck for five long and painful years." She would
explain before turning to meet his gaze. "So, I apologize if my
actions were not to your liking, but it is taking me time to
trust anyone in this world right now."

The truth of where his lady had been held captive shocked Sonic
to his very core. The fact that places like that still existed
on Mobius upset the blue hero. He looked Hana in the eyes as he
gave her a determined look. "Hana it's not your fault you ended
up there and it doesn't make you any less of a person. Look I've
got a group of friends that are a lot like me. If you tell us
where you escaped from we can bust in and shut it down." The
hedgehog stood cracking his fingers before giving a sigh. "Look
stuff sucks...It sucks real bad. Places like that and the people
who run they are screwed in the head. But you're out now and
it's time to look ahead. Get a head start on your new life Hana.
We can start by burying that part of the past."

Hana gave a small sigh at the cerulean blue hedgehog's
statement. Sure, the past was the past, but how could she
possibly get out of it if all she had known all her life was her
past? Being hurt by so many including the man who was supposed
to be protecting her, caused her blood to boil. She clenched her
fists and closed her eyes tightly, wishing that what Sonic had
said was true and that it would all be over. However, how would
she even know the place if she didn't even know where she could
find it?
"I appreciate your concern, Sonic, I really do. However, even
trying to locate my old master and punishing him has already
been taken care of. I got out of the place on my own accord, but
it was not easy and I will not be forgiven for that crime I
committed some time ago...I just could not stand the pain and
the sorrows anymore that came within that place," she explained,
hanging her head slightly as a single tear began to fall from
her eyes. "You must think differently of me now; everyone has."
