[Arc Middle] Keep that Fire Burning
By: Caroline Bishop Date: October 17, 2016, 8:18 am
---------------------------------------------------------
(Blaze only unless said otherwise please)
Another time and place away from where he was moments ago, Blaze
would find himself suddenly in a very different world to the one
he was used to. The skies where gloomy and grey, not one patch
of blue could be found. If he stepped forward, he'd find he'd
kick up dust and dirt with ease, even in the slightest of
movements.
The hedgewolf, upon looking around, might've noticed there where
buildings all around him. Similar to the wooden huts of
Knothole, except they where all broken down and shattered, parts
of the old homes here and there, the dust suggesting that this
area hadn't been touched in years. The area itself was eerie and
lonely, the air thick and the wind would whistle unnervingly
like an almost unheard scream whenever it would pass through.
A short distance away laid a doll which would have previously
belonged to that of a child, it too was smothered in aging dust,
bits of wood from the broken houses splintering its once soft
structure.
At first Blaze would be alone, long enough to take in his
surroundings and check out some things if he wished. But he
would not remain alone for much longer. The soft sound that
Sapphire's boots made whenever she moved would soon sound,
except, when Blaze looked it wouldn't be the Sapphire he knew as
a friend. In fact he'd see her crazed anti, standing beside
Nibor, Robin's anti. Behind the two in the distance would be a
very VERY large structure that glowed with lights. Neither of
the two held a weapon of any kind or made any threats to the
Fire weilder however. "Blaze" Crystal would pipe up, her eyes
wouldn't go to him however. She'd keep them on a spot on the
ground, and opened wide like she was scared. "You need to follow
us" She'd say. Finally looking to Blaze with her wide eyes.
She'd been crying and still was and she looked painfully like
Sapphire in doing so, a very sad and broken Sapphire. Speaking
of broken, both the anti's seemed injured. But not by injuries
inflicted by the Freedom Fighters during their fight beforehand.
"Please" She'd add, Blaze might've noticed by now, the blood
trickling between her fingers from the hand she had hugging one
of her arms.
Nibor remained silent and there was no sign of anyone else. What
would Blaze do?

Before Blaze could finish his sentence, he was caught in a
blinding light. From the clear blue skies and green landscape to
a dark and gloomy filled world. The dust covered wasteland was a
sight to question. Where was he....or was it better to say when
was he. Looking around a bit, he walked kicking up dust with
each step. His feet came to a stop by a nearby building that had
a doll which was also covered in dust. Just what caused all of
this?
The sound of footsteps could be heard coming up behind him. At
first they sounded awfully close to Sapphire's boots. When he
turned he was meet by Crystal and Nibor. Blaze was almost ready
to ignite his hands when he saw Crystal's expression. It looked
just like one Sapphire would give when she was upset. Neither
held a weapon which made him less hostile towards them. Also
that tall building in the distance was the only source of light
around here.
He noticed Crystal and Nibor were injured retty badly. No way
that came from Blaze and the others. This was " HER " doing. "
Alright then....take me to HER....it's time i got some straight
answers for a change. " he replied as he waited for the two
antis to lead him to HER.

The anti's looked rather relived at Blaze's answer, expecting
him to refuse and try to fight them off, but he didn't.
Nibor would approach him, tapping a button on a wrist device
much like the one Robin hand. Bright apple green pixels would
shoot out and wrap around Blaze's wrists, tightening slightly
before suddenly becoming heavy and solid, just like real chains,
except they continued to glow a bright green. Nibor gave an
apologetic look when they tightened, like it wasn't his choice
that they'd done so.
"He says sorry, if they're too tight" Crystal would say for
Nibor before the two would start to lead Blaze towards the
building filled with lights. "And we're sorry we had to chain
you. It's to make HER happy..." She would trail off and stare
off at who knows what, somehow still knowing where she was going
even though she wasn't paying attention.
The three where alone aside from each other, for now. Maybe
Blaze could get some of the answers he was looking for out of
the two? They seemed rather calm despite injuries, perhaps this
meant, SHE was not near here for now.

Blaze stood still as Nibor got close to him and pressed a
button. When the chains appeared and wrapped around him, he
could feel the weight on them. However do to Karahl's training
he barely felt heavy at all. " It's alright, I'm use to it. " he
replied calmly. This was the first time he seen the antis act
this way. Maybe not all antis were bad as he thought. Then again
due to their injuries, it's more like they have something way
worse to deal with than their opposite self.
With them being alone for the moment as they walked he figured
he would try and ask them a few questions. " So what's the deal
with HER? How did she manage to do all of this? Where are the
freedom fighters? " he began his series of questions. He then
thought of one more. " How did she get a hold on you two?" he
asked.

At first the two where quiet, probably because Blaze's questions
brought up bad memories. Both would look aside, gazing to the
old dusty broke buildings. Crystal would disappear for a few
seconds before returning with the doll Blaze had. She'd look
down at it, not seeming to mind the small injuries that holding
it inflicted.
On closer inspection, the doll was actually that of a Scourge
doll, the features where faint but distinguishable. Crystal
looked down at the doll and brushed her fingers against the
dolls cheek "We used to live in this village" She would pipe up
with a soft hiccup, as she tilted her head at the doll. She
didn't know who the doll was of, even though Anti-Sonic,
naturally would be the father of Anti-Sapphire, right?
"Well. At least I think we did. It was so long ago" She'd say
softly, as she dropped the doll.
Before it hit the ground, Nibor would catch it. "We shouldn't be
answering your questions." He'd say, "But I owe Sapphire the
ability to even speak. But I can't answer you when SHE is
around" He'd add, still continuing towards the pulsing building.
"She got us as kids. We don't know who our parents are let alone
where they are or if they're even still alive." Despite the
events being mentioned, Nibor Soke calmly. "We where young. We
where scared. She gave us something to follow. She wasn't always
like this..." The wild dog would sigh, giving the doll back to
Crystal, he'd ruffle her hair, "This used to be yours Crystal"
"Oh. Who is it suppose to be of?" Nibor would shrug to her "I
don't know, I'm sorry".
They'd both go quiet again for a few moments, walking along
either side of Blaze.
"SHE is the leader of this planet. The AntiFuture and of many
other places, including what you know to be as Mobotropolis on
Mobius Prime." Nibor would pause a moment again, they where now
approaching the building. It was even bigger up close
The anti's would remain quiet for now again, as they lead ablaze
into the large gloomy structure.
Being stopped at the entrance doors by two guards dressed from
head to two in body suits with helmets that hid their faces. No
conversation was exchanged between the guards and the anti's,
the guards simply pulled out weird looking devices. Scanned the
collars around Nibor's and Crystal's necks before standing
aside. The doors activating after the collar's where scanned.
After the trio entered the door slid shut behind them silently,
and they'd continue their walk, now wandering down a brightly
lit corridor with walls of white marble, a single long Crimson
red rug running down the center of the floor.
"[sub]The Freedom Fighters of this time reside in Knothole, or
at least. What's left of them.[/sub]" Nibor said gently, his
eyes darting around the room hallway, soon enough however they'd
reach the door at the end of the hall, Nibor would press his
device againt it and wait a moment. [WELCOME HOME... 0017.] A
mechanical voice would chime up as the doors let them in,
opening up a circular room. In the center of the room, a life
sized, perfectly carved golden statue of Sonic the Hedgehog
himself stood. Sonic was stood atop a podium of white marble,
like the walls from the corridor before. The statue, although
beautiful was rather... Odd.
Sonic's pose for one, was not heroic like you'd expect to see
from the worlds greatest hero. Instead he was knelt down on the
top of the podium on all fours, one arm reaching out like he was
reaching out for help or to help someone else whom had fallen.
"Here lies Sonic the Hedgehog. Mobius' Greatest Hero. Fallen."
Nibor would read out, reading the metal plate attracted to the
front of the podium, bowing his head lightly. "[sub]There's
another one for you...[/sub]" He'd say to Blaze before pulling
away from the statue.
Behind the statue in the same room where three doors. The anti's
would lead Blaze to the right door, again pressing the wrist
device to a wall pad, again, the door would let them in. Before
entering Nibor would turn to Blaze. "Crystal and I will not be
able to always help you I'm afraid. I'm sorry. You'll be taken
to where you're going to be kept while you're here by someone
else. I don't know when we will bump into each other again but
it'll happen" Crystal would run up and quickly hug Blaze before
letting him go and turning away. "When you're ready. Enter the
door I've opened for you. If you have more questions you'll have
to be quick about it"

Blaze was surprised the antis were speaking to him at all.
Usually they were trying to kill them but maybe because they
were forced? Hard to say really. As he listed to Nibor, Blaze
looked around the village once more before looking at the doll
Crystal was holding. It seems Nibor cared for Crystal like Robin
does for Sapphire.
So the freedom fighters were still around it seemed...that was a
relieve but he had to wonder who of the freedom fighters were
still around. When they stopped at the building, he got to see
just how tall it really was up close. Looking at the collars as
the group was scanned was taken into consideration about getting
through this place. As they walked down the bright hallway, they
stopped at another statue. This one caused Blaze to freeze a
bit.
The statue he was looking at was of Sonic but the pose in
question....was horrifying to think about. For some reason when
he looked at the statue it was like it was looking at him back.
It made him feel as if he wouldn't be leaving here at all.
Taking a deep breath, he followed the two to another area before
they stopped.
He was given the option to ask something but what else could he
ask them? He had to really think about that. " You said before
she wasn't always like this.....what was she like before all
this? What drove her to do this?" he asked Nibor as he returned
the hug to Crystal before she backed off.

Nibor held his breath a moment before sighing gently, "She was a
leader rather then a tyrant. Still a bit forceful but kind and
caring. Or at least was a little bit. Unlike now. She was a bit
of a beacon of hope for here, the anti world, we thought she was
helping us but.." Nibor glanced back at the statue. "She only
worsened the problem we already had after-" "Tssss!" Crystal
would grab at her head and hiss as she clenched her teeth, her
pupils shrinking. "You need to go, she's close. Don't tell
anyone about Crystal and I, do you understand? We will help as
much as we can but for now, you must go" He'd say, looking over
his shoulder before he gently pushed Blaze through the door and
closed it. The last thing Blaze would've been able to see would
be Nibor trying to help Crystal up, as she'd fallen onto all
fours with her hissing, and someone else 's shoes coming into
view behind the pair.
Blaze was now in a rather dark area of the building. The lights
where off and the place seemed empty. He was in another hallway
again this one seemed to have doors all across the right wall
and some red tinted windows across the left. The red carpet
continued along the floor, going all the way across the hallways
floor, as well as meeting up to each door it led off to.
"Blaze the Hedgewolf right?" Seems Blaze wasn't fully alone. A
single light would flick on, at the other end of the hall was...
Was that Nibor? No... Sure looked a lot like him though.
The mobian held twin axes, both axes where different in colour,
one had a green strap the other, black. Both looked dangerous.
The mobian wielding them would sling one onto her shoulder, the
other rested against her hip as she looked over at Blaze and
tilted her head. "Not like Nibor to be late, even by a minute or
so. Come. We've wasted enough time already" She'd gesture for
him to follow her.
After he'd gone through the door, his chains had disappeared,
probably by Nibor's doing or because the connection to the
device was lost. Blaze was no longer restrained.
The wild dog would tilt her head again, this time the other way,
grazing her axes against the floor, "Or do you have other ideas
Firedog?"

Blaze took all what Nibor said and nodded gently to the wild
dog. So he was able to get a little info on the cat. It wasn't
much but it would have to do for now. Then Crystal began to hiss
in pain. He was just about to ask if she was alright but Nibor
pushed him into the other room with the door closing behind him.
He heard the footsteps and sighed a little. Perhaps he bit off
more than he could chew. With a small sigh, he glanced around
the area before hearing someone call his name. His ears stood at
attention as the light down the hallway turned on. The person at
the end looked like Nibor but was a female. The axes she carried
looked pretty dangerous but he had faced worse before. If he had
his sword, he could at least put up a better fight.
But perhaps this girl wasn't looking for a fight. His chains
disappeared rather suddenly and he was able to move them again.
That was a plus at least. He kept his promise to Nibor he
wouldn't say a word so he simply followed the girl a few feet
behind her.
" So who are you? " he asked a bit puzzled. " You know me but we
just met..." he added.

The girl mobian seemed slightly disappointed in that Blaze
simply followed, no fight included. She'd sling her axes back
onto her shoulders with a sigh of sorts, before turning back
towards the door at the opposite end of the hall to where Blaze
had entered, leading him since he was following.
She'd smirk lightly at how he chose to walk a few feet behind
her though "Why so far away boy? You walked so close to 0017 and
0015. Do I scare you? " She would let out a muffled laugh of
sorts, her tail flicking, "Who am I? You could say I'm similar
to Nibor. I'm 0624. Or... Knowing how you Primes are. Nnybor if
you REALLY have to go by a.. name" Nnybor would look aside,
reaching the door she'd place her right wrist to a control panel
on the wall to the side of the door like how Nibor did before.
The door would open and she would usher for him to follow her,
their path now split two ways, a right and a left way. Nnybor
went right, glancing back to Blaze as she went around the
corner. The right path had rooms sectioned off by glass all
along it, not just along both walls but up them as well. At the
start of each wall was an elevator, assumedly for people to be
able to reach the higher rooms. Most the rooms where empty and
most where filled with marks, scratches, dents, and all kinds of
things made by someone trying to escape.
One of the lower rooms was occupied though, by a canine male
mobian who looked about Blaze's age if not younger. He had
somewhat pale green eyes and a creamy yellow coat with chocolate
brown markings on the tups of his ears, tail and along his
nosebridge, accompanied by a fluffy white muzzle and thick hair.
The mobian would put a hand against the glass if Blaze had
followed behind Nnybor. "Ignore the prisoners" Nnybor would say
as she simply walked past them, heading for another door at the
end of the hall. If Blaze wanted to go left, he'd find another
hall, with another door at the end of it, the door didn't seem
to have a control panel to the side of it. Which way would he
go?

Blaze said nothing as Nnybor talked about him. There was a
reason he was keeping his distance but he choose to let her
believe what she wanted. Instead he began to take mental notes
about his surroundings. When he was led to a new area, he looked
at the different rooms.
Each one had some form of damage to it. When he saw one
prisioner, his ears lowered slightly. How could this be
sapphire's future? He gritted his teeth slightly as a small
spark escaped his breath as he sighed. He took note on the other
pathway as well as the whole collar system. It seemed like those
collars weren't just for show after all....
