Stardust Speedway - Bad Future [ACT 1]

STARDUST SPEEDWAY ACT 1[/center]
As soon as Sonic had stepped into the warp Ring he'd find
himself he'd never been before, in fact no one from mobius had
eever been there. He was on a track, one that seemed to go on
into infinity. Almost looking like that of a roller coaster. It
had all manner of flips, jumps and other tricks and traps. The
sky around them was a breath taking sight. Hundred of BILLIONS
of planets and scenes were seen. And it seem each one had a bit
of the track going through them. This was an intergalactic
event of epic proportions. Sonic would have to admit eggman
surely knew how to pick locations for climactic battles and all.
"Ah so you Finally arrived Sonic!" Said Eggman, whom floated in
front of him in his Eggmobile. Standing besides the pod was
Hyper Metal Sonic, whom seemed to be sporting some accessories
not made of metal. Its hands were wrapped in bandages, and it
wore a red bandana around its neck. It was emulating Sonic's
style in attire. "Are you ready for the race of your life? I
know your true speed thanks you Robotnik's data, and the imprint
you gave me of your mind. Thanks for that by the way. Hyper
Metal has all of your information and more, and as such all of
your skills and powers." He chuckled. "I promised you a rival
who could give you a real challenge and I delivered."
He floated around to Sonic's side and pointed down the track.
"The rules of this race are simple. You and Hyper Metal will be
running the entire course I've laid out for you. Avoiding any
and all traps that are in your way. Even hyper Metal will have
to dodge them so its all fair." He chuckled to himself and
stroked his Mustache. "This will be a televised event in over
three dimensions. So Say hello to the camera's. You have three
mobius' rooting for you." He laughed to himself as a Camera bot
flew over and zoomed in on Sonic's face.
Hyper Metal took a few steps towards Sonic and held out its hand
to him, offering for a shake. Its eyes stared at Sonic's as its
voice spoke up. "I am looking foreward to this race." It spoke.
"May the best Sonic Win."

Sonic's jaw dropped in awe at the location for what was to be
the greatest race of his life. He stood stunned at intergalactic
speedway that linked through entire worlds. The sky above
littered with endless worlds all eyes on him. Sonic wandered
over to the edge looking down into the infinite void below.
"I'll give you this Egghead you sure as hell know how to pick a
venue." As soon as Eggman told Sonic the event would be
televised in over three worlds his heart was racing. He bit his
lower lip suppressing the urge to scream out in joy. Soon energy
begun to build up in the blue hedgehog's body. The excitement of
that endless track and finally a worthy foe to rival his
legendary speed. Sonic pictured burning rubber on that track
followed by the sensation of the ground beneath his feet his
feet, the air lifting him up pushing him forward to even greater
speeds. A race to end all races and Sonic would have three
worlds as an audience. This was truly the greatest spotlight
Sonic had ever had so he was going to savior it. To think Sonic
had a chance to show the entire universe he was truly the very
best like nobody ever was. Sonic's grin grew large as lightning
begun to spark from his body.
The hero was all revved up feeling the lightning traveling
through this body hitting every nerve and atom like a shock! He
looked up spotting his double copying his sense of style simply
shaking his head. "Makes sense the only thing that could hope to
stand up to me is me. I didn't mind giving you those scans
because I wanted to prove once and for all NOTHING is faster
than I am. You've definitely delivered Eggman. For once a REAL
challenge and to top it off an entire multiverse to cheer me on.
Eggman if you weren't such a b,astard I think we'd be friends.
Hell in the sea of worlds out there I'm sure there's one where
we can a drink without trying to kill each other." He said
holding out his arms taking in the sights. As Metal held out his
hand for him to shake Sonic battered it away walking it to the
starting line. "I intend to. Now enough real talk let's jam.
This place is truly burning way past kool." He knelt down in a
starting position as the wild storms of electricity thundering
from the blue speedster grew more intense.

Eggman cackled at Sonic's rebuttle to him. "Oh no Sonic. I've
been to nearly every major dimension here. And in each of them
we've either killed each other or are trying to kill each
other!... Er well, except one of them. But we don't talk about
that dimension. Its a ghastly Technicolor nightmare. Horrible
Business." He chuckled to himself. He'd stroke his mustache as
he and Metal interacted. When the slap to his hand came there
came a resounding "Boooooo!" from the camera bot.
"Oh sonic don't you know sportsmanship makes the ratings go up?"
He smiled maliciously. "Not to mention every person watching
right now can see and hear everything you do, and you get their
collective response from the camera droid. If you do something
they don't like you get a boo! And more traps will activate to
punish you and boost ratings. Do something they enjoy and the
ratings go up, and some traps deactivate. Its going to be a
good time So lets put on an amazing show!"
Metal Sonic got next to sonic in a ready post just like him. His
thruster began to spin quickly. He looked to Sonic and spoke
up. "If you really are the fastest thing alive." He spoke. "Then
you'll prove it. But I'll have fun regardless. Just try not to
fall too far behind alright?"
Eggman smiled as Cubot and Orbot came in front of the two
racers. Cubot was holding a street light, while Orbot held a
race flag.
"On your Mark!" said Orbot
"Get Set!" Cubot shouted
"GO!" They both bellowed as the flag was waved and the light
gave a green light.

In that very second Metal Sonic blasted off at top speed. A
streak of bright blue light followed behind the robot as well as
a trail of flames. He was going all out! He was determined. He
had to prove that he was the Fastest thing Ever built!

No children or citizens to save finally this moment was about
nothing less than Sonic proving he's the fastest thing alive. At
the sound of go the speedsters both organic and metal shattered
the sound barrier. The resulting sonic boom sent both oddly
shaped robots flying to either side of the track, the shockwave
even knocked around Eggman's craft. Zooming down the first steep
incline Sonic rammed himself into Metal intent on destroying the
competition. He slammed the robot into the side of the track as
steel against iron caused sparks. With Metal scraped up and
slowed down Sonic blasted ahead taking the lead. The smile upon
his face was as if he was already taking a victory lap. The blue
speedster had been assaulted by endless hordes of these
Sonic-shaped robots and saw no reason to grant these killing
machines mercy. Picking up some serious speed now the amount of
kinetic energy cracking around his body in the form of a
lightning storm was ragging and wild. Sonic looked up to the
camera shooting a thumbs up to his fans before blasting on ahead
as to make Metal eat this dust.

Metal Sonic let out a grunt as he was hit, slamming into a spike
trap, that stopped his momentum completely. Sonic zoomed off
heading down into a planets atmosphere, only for Metal Sonic to
come up besides Sonic, catching up with him. He turned his head
to look to Sonic, before slamming his own body into sonic. They
entered the planet's atmosphere, both of them catching fire in
an aura around them before reaching down lower. They'd find a
planet, barren of any sort of happiness. All over the planet
were Huge statues, each one depicting Eggman in some way. In
the sky loomed a mega sized Death Egg, Twice the size of the one
hovering over Mobius.
"Welcome to Mobius X." Said Metal Sonic. "The Mobius that
Eggman Conquered an owned. A dimension where you died like
vermin." He continued to fly at top speed besides Sonic. It
looked over the race's track, looking down to the work camps,
where humans were being beaten as they worked by Badniks and
such. "This is what your world will become when Eggman takes
over."
The two of them shot out of the atmosphere and into a loop,
before a spike trap shot up in front of Sonic.

As Sonic's feet touched down on the alien world the suffering
and misery all wrapped up in Eggman's vanity made him want to
wretch. A planet devoid of freedom and fun was one of Sonic's
worst nightmares. How badly he wanted to stop and help those
people. He couldn't stop running or his city would be bombed but
he could help them while he was still moving. He rushed past the
people who where chained to the assembly line and their shackles
shattered as Sonic cut through them like an aggressive buzz saw.
Sonic preformed a tight turn running head on into a unit of
SWATBots. Running at the terminal speeds he used to race his
metal doppleganger the robots exploded upon contact with Sonic.
A pile of rifles that once belonged to the oppressive robots
build up near the newly freed citizens, Sonic had dropped these
there so these poor people could start fighting back.
Sonic's little detour to help the people of Mobius X had cost
him the lead as Hyper Metal moved into first place. Sonic got
back on track running up the impossibly high wall getting back
to the galactic freeway. As he was gaining on Metal, Sonic was
caught by surprise as a spike set sprung up. Almost
instinctively Sonic curled up into a ball and started to bounce.
With a little luck the second bounce gave the hedgehog enough
height to clear the barrier. With a focused expression Sonic
bolted after the competition catching up replying to the robots
earlier statement.
"No way I'm going to let that happen to my Mobius. Besides I
know I'm going to win this race because your no Sonic. No true
Sonic would be caught dead taking orders from that fat man you
call boss. So shut your metal trap and fly. You'll need all the
computing power you can to keep up with me." After dropping the
statement like a bomb Sonic's sneakers started sparking. The
blue blur started to build up kinetic energy with the hundreds
of steps he was taking every second. When the energy became over
whelming Sonic slammed his foot down sending out a wave of
electrical energy that would surely mess with the robots systems
or at least slow him down.

Metal Watched as Sonic made his detour. It continued at its top
speed but it was surprised at Sonic's actions, now matter how
little it mattered in the long run. When sonic Caught up Metal
spoke up. "That was a heroic thing you did... But you've only
sealed their fate."
The sound of gunfire would ring out behind them as well as that
of screams. "Eggman doesn't like rebellion."
The Droid listened to Sonic's words before shaking its head.
"Then put your money where your mouth is, slow poke." Said
Metal, taunting the hedgehog. "I'm not even going at full speed
yet."
THe droid however was completely caught off guard by Sonic's
sudden electrical attack. It brought its arms up to defend, a
black crystal shield forming over the droid. It blocked the
attack completely, but he had to stop in place to use it,
allowing sonic a lead. If sonic wasn't careful however he'd run
face first into a large metal wall that seemed to jump up in
front of him. After that he'd have to run through a loop and up
out into the atmosphere of the planet, and back into that of
the Area between worlds.
There was suddenly a bright flash, Metal zooming right behind
Sonic. It tried to ram him, as it covered itself in a dangerous
plasma energy. Hit or miss the Robot would return to its own
track and resume the race.

As the robot slung it's insults Sonic looked back his stomach
turning at the sounds of the screams his. His heart sank at the
thoughts of those poor souls. Since he was distracted he slammed
head first into the metal sheet. Sonic fell to the ground seeing
stars placing his hand on his head as he nursed a minor
concussion. "Robotnik's even programmed this thing to insult me.
Man I hate it when somebody talks trash more than I do."
Thinking back to those poor people Sonic curled into a ball
revving up like screeching tire burning rubber as he shot off
leaving a trait of flames behind him. With the loop ahead Sonic
pushed himself faster and faster to keep from falling off the
track into outer space. As Metal came up on his six Sonic looked
over at the opening in the road jumping to the other track. He
may have narrowly avoided a painful death but now he was on
Metal Sonic's track with the robot in hot pursuit.
Hearing those people die made Sonic think, while he was racing
to save the city his friends were facing who knows what
mechanical monstrosity. He didn't want the same fate for those
he cared about. Eggman had clearly shown he wasn't messing
around with all of his power and cruel killing. "Maybe it's time
I shoulder this burden on my own. I couldn't live with myself if
anything happened to them being dragged into my fight,my world."
He thought to himself before addressing Robotnik directly.
"Robotnik I know you're watching this and enjoying it more than
you should you sack of crap. Listen you want a rival to match
wits with fine, you want to terrorize and torture I'm your man
but you leave the others out of this. You bring the games and
I'll play them my instincts vs your brains. No more senseless
death or killing. From here on out just focus all your
aggression on me."
