Secret Base Zone. A zone hidden behind mountains and built into
a valley. A pollution spewing monstrocity of a base that acted
as one of eggmans' factories and Mines. Large drills bore into
the surrounding mountains to harvest precious resources, while
the wood of the forest that was once there had been completely
wiped out and used for burning fuel for the refineries built
into the base. LIke anything Eggman built it had his logo
proudly displayed on every building, not to mention it was
crawling with hundreds of badniks of all shapes and sizes.
It was an Eye Sore and it had to be destroyed. It was a job for
the freedom fighters. And as such there was a call to arms.
Their Mysterious Benefactor had given them its location, and the
means of getting there. And now they had the hard job of
destroying it once and for all.
IN the sky loomed the death egg, its ever vigilant gaze staring
down at mobius from their converted moon. Hanging above the
Base was an Egg Carrier, which was currently refueling it
seemed. Perhaps they'd get their chance to destroy it, or even
steal it should they be good enough.
It was their time to strike back at Eggman and win one for
Mobius!

Shadow was the first one to arrive thanks to the advantages of
being granted the gift of Sonic's infamous speed, because he
arrived much too early before anyone else, the only obstacle the
black hedgehog will soon hurdle over is also sharing the blue
hedgehog's impatience and foot tapping...interestingly enough.
"Hmph..slowpokes.." he pouted with disappointment expecting a
race, he folded his arms and tapped his left foot in annoyance,
moments later he decides to lay down on the ground in a very
bored position, perhaps this trait is shared across all
speedsters?

It had taken Blaze and the group awhile but they managed to find
the base hidden in the mountains. Taking in the sight of one
hell of a base made it look ten times more serious than
Robotnik's old base of operations. And with that Egg carrier
hanging over the base, that made Blaze that much more on edge.
But he couldn't show fear. He was promoted to leader along with
his brother so he had to show that he could lead even under
pressure. Blaze took a deep breath as he continued to watch over
the base.
" This is it....our time to strike back...we can't fail. We
won't.... " he said as he balled up his fist slowly.

Val was not far behind. Her red cloak covering most of her body
and face. She accepted to follow and help her friend but she had
a strange feeling being at this place. Blaze was here and the
black creature known as Shadow. She did not dare to say a word
especially after the last event when she smelled fear around
Guntram. She was too uneasy to do much at the moment and Blaze
being here was good news, or was it? She wasn't sure anymore..

"You finally made it, what took you so long?" he was still
laying on the ground in a relaxed/bored position, fingers
tapping the floor while his the side of his head is balanced by
an elbow. Why is Shadow currently in a good mood was anyone's
guess.

Mallow came in third, his long legs giving him an extra spring
in his step that kept him further up than those behind,
nevertheless, he couldn't travel at the speed of light, or
sound, so of course he wasn't the first to arrive. When the
rabbit closed in on the three, he stopped surprisingly not out
of breath as he stomped up to Shadow, who had the nerve to
belittle them on their lack of speed. "Not all of us as super
powered pincushions, master. That sonic boom hurt! Super hearing
means sensitive to loud sound!" he gestured to his ears, he
didn't yell, despite wanting to, but his tone was infused with
enough irritation to paint an exclamation point on his words.
Ugh, now he had a headache.
After the rabbit spoke his peace, his expression changed
drastically to a calm and composed mobian. He sat on the ground
beside his teacher and slipped off his backpack. Opening it up,
he pulled out the new boots, a pair of clean socks, and a roll
of medical tape. He removed his own shoes and socks, then pulled
off the old tape, and applied new strips, a habit he picked up
as a ballet dancer to prevent getting blisters. Once that was
done and the clean socks were on, he slipped on the new boots,
lacing them up tightly.
Mallow stared at them when they were on his feet. Oh, they were
so ugly. That color brown did not go well with his complexion or
his outfit. They were a far cry from fabulous, but they would
have to do for this mission. He just hoped that they did as what
was promised.

Shadow blinked and realized his mistake, he had forgotten going
to fast can damage one hearing for other people, so much for
trying to have fun. "My apologize Mallow.." he stood back up and
crossed his arms with embarrassment.
Some time later he glanced over at Blaze and searched for the
important item, digging inside his black spines until he found
it and tossed him the chip "Here...I wont guarantee the safety
of the chip, its better if you hold on to it, your the team
captain.."

Into the valley yet another figure seemed to be quickly coming
into view, a small cloud of dust behind him as he charged
towards the visage of Eggman's secret base, little jets of flame
rhythmically flaring out from under his feet as the skating
motion of his movements quickened, kicking up plumes of dirt in
his wake that burst outwards in small loops around the heat of
the flames. As he drew near to the far right of the small group
he skidded to a stop, angling himself sideways and pushing his
feet out as his jet shoes gave a sharp and abrupt blast of fire,
bringing him to a halt.
There stood a white hedgehog, with a mess of quills slightly
over the left side of his face, his attention currently locked
on the structure ahead while his scarf fluttered softly at his
back. With a sigh he wiped his forehead with the back of his
right hand, he had made a point to hurry when he was told about
the location of the base, and needless to say he'd pushed
himself to save time. "So this is the place... That Mr. E guy
wasn't kidding..." the hedgehog thought to himself before
turning his head to the group nearby. He didn't recognize any of
them until he saw Shadow, one of the Freedom Fighters! "Hey!" he
called out, lifting his right hand in a quick wave, simply
letting his hand arc over once and fall back to his side as he
began to walk towards the group, hoping nobody perceived his
surprise appearance as a threat

Mallow's expression softened when Shadow apologized, and the
rabbit nodded his head solemnly. "I accept your apology," he
said with a sense of appreciativeness. He got to his feet and
pulled his pack back on.
Mallow shifted a few times, testing out the shoes. They felt
like any new pair of shoes would, only these weren't measured
specifically for his feet. Yes they would get the job done, he
hoped anyways, but they were too stiff for him to perform any of
his fancy footwork.
His ears picked up the sound of another arrival and assuming it
to be another freedom fighter, turned his head in the direction
of the sound, only to see a white hedgehog he didn't recognize.
He wondered if this was friend or foe, but the greeting seemed
genuine enough and he approached the stranger. "I return your
Hey with Hello." He looked the hedgehog over, critiquing the
spiny one's style and color pallet. A smile grew on his face, he
liked what he saw. "I love what you did to your quills, who is
your stylist? They should be commended for such a work of art."
he praised, his own hair bore a similar likeness to it.

Blaze caught the chip in his hand as he looked to Shadow a
little puzzled at first. Just by looking at the guy he could
tell he had some strong powers but the fact he seemed reasonable
enough to accept Blaze as team captain made the young hunter
rubbed his hair a bit skeptically. How was he suppose to lead a
group of people into battle? Sure he's reckless enough to risk
his own life but the lives of others....? This thought ran deep
into his mind as he felt his hand tremble a bit.
" Am i really worthy? Can i really do this? " he asked himself
in a low tone. His thoughts were interrupted when someone new
showed up and Mallow was the first to speak with him. Looking at
Val, Blaze went to check on her. Looking up at the tall wolf he
figured he'd at least see if she was ok.
" Hey Val...you okay? " he asked.
