I'll Be Your Home.

It had been a few days since Sonic had tracked down Karahl and
taken her home. Her wounds had healed up nicely and she'd been
getting food via an IV drip. Sonic asked Stella to make a house
call as he couldn't find the hospital. It was like the whole
building had vanished. She was in Sonic's bed inside his
apartment with the sun shining in the open window. She was
surrounded by fresh flowers and pictures of her family and
friends. The hero thought if she saw the smiles of those who
cared about her she'd stop acting so crazy. Sonic did nothing
but worry while she was out cold. He'd pace back and forth so
quickly he was starting to wear a line into the ground.

Some time later the tiger's eyelids blinked open; taking a
moment or so to realize where she was and Karahl sat up slowly,
first noticing the flowers and photos.
"Thanks Sonic, I appreciate it." Karahl commented before kicking
off the blankets and getting to her feet; wincing slightly from
the pain at her side.
"So, where is the target? Or are you able to retrieve the Chaos
Emerald for me first and allow for me to commit the deed at
another time?" she questioned.

Sonic threw his arms around Karahl helping her up. "It's good to
see you back on you're feet. You had me worried. Time to get
back to work. As they say no rest for the wicked. I'll head over
to the hospital where ever the hell it ended up and get the
chaos emerald from Mallow. The target should be somewhere around
the city. He's red and black kinda looks like me only much less
handsome. Anyway I'll meet up with ya later." Sonic stood up on
his toes kissing Karahl's cheek before zipping away leaving a
blue trail behind.
