Scourge had been thus dar ruling the city through fear. Police
dared not to even leave the station for fear of Scourge harming
Sally. Burning buildings littered the city Scourge leaving them
in his path of destruction. Across the tallest building scrawled
in flaming letters was the messages BRING ME SONIC! Having had
no blue speedster appear Scourge sent out another broadcast.
This time he was sitting upon a throne with Sally chained to the
armrest. At this point the speed demon seemed unstoppable. He
smiled as Sally wore a disgusted look. "Lisen losers I thought
this was simple enough when I scrawled it out in flaming
letters. Obviously you need more encouragement. One second. "
Scourge vanished from the screen for a few seconds then
returned. "I've just planted half a ton of plastic explosives
under the hospital. Any tampering with the device will cause it
to explode. I want Sonic! You have 12 hours." With that the
broadcast ended and the police were wondering what they could
do. They left a note with the new freedom fighters and prayed.

Fortunately a single individual who can easily fit within both
criteria's has arrived to the scene. Although Shadow isn't
officially a member of the freedom fighters nor is he Sonic the
Hedgehog, he is basically the closest anyone is ever gonna get
to fulfilling both the officers and Scourge's request for his
blue counterpart.
Narrowing his eyes during the whole broadcast from the beginning
to the end made him realize Mallow is resting in that hospital
and he is in trouble!"That freak has a lot of nerve attacking
those sick and injured people, I will make him suffer for all
the horrible things he has committed!"he clenches his fist with
determination.
With that he warps away in a flashing blue light refusing to let
anymore mobian's kick the bucket. A part of him simply wants to
beat down Scourge in order to reclaim his seemingly undefeated
winning streak.
