Sonic's wrist com started to buzz as he pulled back the cuff of
his glove seeing a static picture of Mallow upon his watch.
Sonic shook the device annoyed as he started tapping the sides.
"Cave walls must be interfering with the damn thing." Annoyed
Sonic saw Ty had also buzzed in on the other channel. "Mallow
you look like hell what happened?" Before too long the voices
started to become hard to hear. "Ty think you could handle this?
I'm still looking for Karahl and I don't want to loose her
trail....Whats happening over........I ......Help.....Find....."
Before long Sonic's signal broke off as he ran his hands through
his spine. "Well whatever it is I'm sure the guys can handle
it."

Mallow blinked at the quick responses he was getting, and
wondered why he didn't use this device sooner. Perhaps the
reason was that he wasn't used to working with teams since the
sandblasters, but back then they used audio only communicators.
So when Sonic popped on the line and mentioned something
negative about Mallow's appearance, his left hand tried to go to
his face, but he stopped and winced. "Do... I really look that
bad?" He made a mental note to ask for a mirror from a nurse and
then shook his head when he got off topic. "At Mobotropolis
General Hospital. A green hedgehog set fire to an orphanage.
I... couldn't take him down. According to the news, he's taken
over the city. Be careful when engaging him, he's as fast as
Sonic, and is armed."

the signal was breaking up, most likely due to the low reception
from the caves based on the visual of Sonic's whereabouts, there
was no indication Sonic had heard his response from the annoying
static.
Mallow's signal seems to be perfectly fine however, being able
to see his condition on screen and man does it look horrible to

Mallow narrowed his eyes and turned away. Scourge. So that was
the bastard's name. The heart monitor's beeping increased with
the rabbit's anger. "Most escaped... but... I wasn't able to get
all of them." In a way, he had to thank Scourge for making him
pass out so he could stop being able to hear those children's
screams.
Mallow's blood chilled his PTSD flared up with unwanted
memories. "247 casualties." His face and voice void of
expression as he repressed the emotional hurricane inside.

There was a long eerie pause...two hundrend and forty seven
children were killed by a heartless monster, a monster who is
walking around with the spitting image of the world's greatest
hero of mobius. The number was quite hefty, but he has no idea
of the number of children who escaped with thier lives. He had
hope the death's were at least small in comparison, but even
so...those innocent young ones didnt deserve to die like this.

Mallow shook his head. "I don't want to do the math, Ty. Even if
it was 80% saved, those that died didn't have to. The orphanage
was overpopulated due to the bombings from Eggman. The city lost
a lot of parents during those raids." he said, sighing. "Just
know that I'm in recovery now, had a few stitches and broken
bones but their healing. I don't think I will be able to join
you or the others in any missions for a while. Do me a favor
though, kick ass."

Gave off a small sigh. 'Not good enough...' he thought to
himself and bid his teammate farewell as the screen went dark.
He leaned back on the bed, looking around the room, feeling his
loneliness. He reached over and grabbed the remote then pressed
the button to summon a nurse. When said nurse came, he politely
asked for a hand mirror and for his bag. When these things were
brought to him, he examined his face and let out a shriek, then
yanked out his cosmetic kit from his duffle bag, and began a
one-handed emergency fix up.

Shortly after Sonic and Ty, another freedom fighter would
answer. Sapphire had gotten a surprise at finding her red
bracelet glow and beep from the inside. Opening it she'd notice
a conversation going on between Ty and Mallow, even Sonic had
popped up at one point. She'd press the button that allowed her
to be heard over the communicator, right about when Ty was
ending his conversation. She'd watch Ty's picture pop away on
her screen before speaking.

The hedgehog would ask, peering down at the screen in her wrist
bracelet. Honestly surprised the Freedom fighter call had buzzed
her as well. Looks like she still had the Comms from her last
visit.
